"Next time you'll think twice before trying to stand up to me" A blonde girl said as she glared at me. I was kneeling in front of her with my hair completely roasted, bruises on my face and these two girls holding me down. Then I heard the blonde say "You're just a weakling and that's what you'll always be" I felt myself been lifted up and thrown into the air and I think I crashed into a wall. My vision was getting really blurry, but I could still see very well that blonde witch and her friends laughing at me and then they walked away. I woke up at the school infirmary later in the day; with my head seriously aching, bruises all over my body and my left arm broken.

I'm Bellatrix Gonzales, for as long as I can remember I've always been bullied. Because I don't have a special ability like everyone else. It's the last week of highschool so I thought I should stand up for my self for once. But I guess that landed me in the infirmary. Tomorrow's graduation and the last day of school, I just hope I make it out alive.

(The next day at Minotaur High School)

All the students were seated at the large hall as a middle-aged woman stood on the stage and addressed the students. "I am happy knowing that everyone of you has gained the knowledge you need to survive in the big world. Now go out there and be the best you can be" she said to. Everyone stood up from their seat and clapped as the lady left the stage. They clapped not because of the principal's speech, but because they were all excited that they were finally out of highschool. That's how the day was concluded.

A month later and I was packed up and ready for military academy. I was picked up from my apartment by a bus filled with other teenagers like me. Normally I would have expected us to have a long drive, but immediately after the door of the bus was locked, we were all teleported into a large building.

We all stepped out of the bus and admired the building. A few minutes after we arrived, we all heard a voice that said "You are now inside Demacia Military Academy"

And that's where it all began

Everyone seemed very happy, they were either talking to friends or making new friends, while I stood alone. I didn't actually care because I was to busy thinking of how cool it was to finally be in the military academy. "You are now inside Demacia Military Academy" I heard a voice say,but I didn't see anyone and I could tell it was a females voice. " Welcome to DMA, you are all new trainees of the military. Once you go inside you will all be handed your dorm room numbers, instructions and a map of the school. In exactly thirty minutes you will all gather at the general training hall for your first stats tests, Thank you very much"

With that everyone rushed in to get settled. I found my way to my dorm room thanks to the map, I swear I would have gotten lost if I didn't have it. I mean who wouldn't; the academy was made up of three buildings each five stories tall. One was the girl's dorm, the other was the boy's dorm and the third was the main building for training. It was almost thirty minutes and I was ready to go. According to the map there were five training halls one for enhanced supernaturals, one for weaponry, one for techies, one for healers and the general training hall which I was heading to.

A few people who introduced themselves as our instructors were already waiting when I got there. There was a podlike machine there also "This machine is a stats reader, it will read your strength, speed, ability and ability level" one of the instructors said."You will all be tested one after the other and then handed your military trainee's personal stats watch" I entered the status reader, my strength was at level 3, my speed was also at level 3 and of course it read that I had no ability so that was level 0, so when I was handed my watch it read level 2.

Everyone of us was tested, eventually. "All classes are will resume in two days, before then you should have picked the department you would like to be in. Changes can be made during the course of the year" After the instructor said that, the list of departments popped up on the screen of everyone's wrist watches, and most people were already choosing their department right there. "You should head back to your dorms before six o'clock, if not you will be giving severe punishment. You are all dismissed" The instructor said

I went to dorm room and I met my roommate. "Hi I'm Bellatrix, you can call me Bella" I said to her as I entered the bedroom. "I'm Layla. So what level are you?" She asked " Two and you?" I then asked "Level three" she replied and said "What your ability?" "Oh I don't have one" I said, then said "Oh okay". Then after that we didn't say anything else to each other and I was so tired so I decided to take a nice long nap.

I woke up the next morning to the sound of my alarm. "Can you turn that off, I'm trying to sleep" My roommate said as she tried to cover her ears with her pillow. "Okay" I said as I turned it off. It was six am so I got out of bed, did my morning exercise before hitting the shower. Each dorm room has a bathroom, it has a small living room, a bedroom with two beds, two closets, two shelves and a small kitchen. It was more of an apartment than a room. There was also a container that kinda looked like a waste bin, I didn't know what it was so I just left it alone. Anyways I had my bath, got dressed and was ready for the day.

I didn't have anything to do but to set my stuff up since I didn't have time to settle in the previous day. I didn't have much with me, just my phone, laptop, headphones, a few pairs of shoes and a few clothes, most of which I put in the closet. I arranged my shoes and other stuff too.

It was 7:30 so I decided to go and have breakfast. While Layla was still asleep. The academy had a large cafeteria for all the students, about a hundred tables alongside chairs were spread out across the large room. Many people were already there eating and talking with their friends. I decided to sit at the table that was at the very end of the cafeteria. The table was small with two chairs, there was a screen by it's side with the menu. So I put in my order and in less than a minute a tube dropped on the table with a tray of food, then the tube went back up.

Not long after my food arrived "Hey can I sit here" A girl asked "Sure" I said then she sat down and was putting in her order and her food arrived. She had a really small face, she looked kinda pretty and had her black hair in a bun.

"What's your name?" I asked breaking the silence "Are you talking to me?" she asked "Yeah, what's your name?" I asked again "I'm Audrey" she answered " I'm Bellatrix, but you can call me Bella" I said "Nice to meet you Bella" she said, so I replied" Same". "What level are you?" she asked "Level two and you " I asked, she just showed me her watch and apparently, she was in level one.

"What's your ability?" she asked "Actually I don't have an ability" I said "So what department are you going for? " She then asked " I'm going for weaponry" I replied "Cool, I'm going for techies" she said "Okay, so what's your ability" I asked, then she replied "Electricity" " That's Cool" I said " I'm just a level one, so it's not that cool".

"Anyways I have to go now" she said "Ok give me your number so I can call you later" I said "The thing is that, I don't have a phone" she replied "Okay..., meet me at the main gates by 4:30" I said to her "Okay" she said as she left the table "See you then" I said.

After I was done with breakfast I went back to the dorms and when I got there Layla was no longer there. So I lay on the bed in silence. It was 12:30 and I got really tired of laying down and doing nothing so I took out my headphones and started to listen to music, till it was 3:30 and I remembered that I was supposed to meet up with Audrey. So I had a bath and headed to the academy gates.

It was 4:05 and Audrey was already waiting for me at the gate when I got there"Hey Audrey" I said "Hi, so... why did you ask me to wait here" she asked "Oh we are going to get you a phone" I answered "Okay but I don't have enough money to buy one" she said "Don't bother" I said "I have some money we can use, plus I was planning on buying a new phone for myself anyways, so I can just get two instead of one" "Thanks" she said "Let's be on our way" I said as we walked out of the gates of the academy.

We walked for a while before we got to the mall "So what kind of phone do you want to get" I asked "I don't know, anything is okay" Audrey replied "Alright, but we'll have to buy something a little cheap, because I'm trying to save some money" I said. We got to the phone shop, searched for a while and finally bought the phones that we liked and I didn't spend as much money as I expected. We still had 30donros left.

After the phone shopping Audrey and I went to a near by restaurant."So tomorrow you're going to weaponry department, right?" she asked " Yes I am" I answered "Ok, so why don't you have an ability, don't you have enough money to get an ability orb?"she asked "I actually had enough money to buy one. Two years ago I put all of my savings into buying a fire ability orb, but then it didn't work. When I got tested, I was told my body is resistant to ability orbs. I saved up for five years to get that money and was all wasted, 2000donros to be exact. So I can't use any ability" I explained it all to her "That's too bad, I'm so sorry" she said "Don't be, I've come this far haven't I. So how about you, when did you get your ability?" I asked her "Uhh, not too long, just about a month ago, I emptied almost my entire bank account to buy the electricity ability" she said "If you have an ability that cool, then why are you going for techies department?" I asked "I've always wanted to be in the techies, I got the ability so I can protect myself because I use to always get bullied and beat up" she answered, then I said "Me too, it's just that when people are stronger they try to beat you to a pulp any chance they get just because they're stronger and it's frustrating" "Exactly my point" she replied."Anyways we should get going now it's already 5:30" I said "Ok let's head back fast".

We walked for a while and we were finally got to the school gates but we just had to run into these guys. "Hey where do you think you guys are going" A girl in short black hair said as she blocked our way "We just trying to get back to the dorms we don't want any trouble" I said and two more girls stood behind her, they were all wearing trainee wrist watches "Oh we don't want any trouble either" the black haired girl said and her wrist band showed level 4, and the other girls wrist watches read level 3. "Just do everything we tell you" "Please just let us go" Audrey said. "Kneel in front of me and beg me to let you go" the girl said. "We're sorry please just let us go" Audrey said as she slowly knelt down in front of her, but I didn't. You know why because I was so tired of everyone doing this to me "This one's been brave, I see" the girl said "Knock her out" she said to one of the girls. One of the girls came close to me and I tried to punch, but I was quick to dodge which caught her off guard . I quickly took the chance and punched her in the stomach and then she fell to the floor. Then the other girl started a laser beam and threw it at me, I tried my best to dodge it, but it still did some damage. But I quickly gave her a punch and kicked her multiple times before she could do any other thing. "So want to play hero right" the girl in black hair said as she readied herself to fight "Let's see how you do against....." she was cut short as Audrey electrocuted her and she fell to the ground. "Where you waiting for her to tear me apart before you did something? " I asked Audrey in frustration "Oh my, how did you do all that, you took both of them out" Audrey asked in surprise "I might not have any ability but if there's one thing I've learned after been beat up my entire life, It's that Supernaturals rely more on their ability and they aren't very fast in attacks" I explained to her."We should better get to the dorms quickly, we don't wanna get into trouble." I said "Ok. I still can't believe we just did that" she replied

And then we both went to our separate dorm rooms and I went with just a few injuries.

I got back to my dorm room to meet Layla, she was on my side of the room searching my closet "What are you doing?" I asked "Nothing much, wanted to borrow a hair brush and you weren't here so I thought I would get it my self" she answered "Ok but next time, wait for me to get back" I said "Okay" she replied."Where are you coming from, what happened to and why do you have injuries?" she asked "Don't worry, I ran into a little trouble outside" I answered then she said "Okay. What's this tiny box, I found in your closet" she asked holding the box in her hand. "I don't even know what it is, it was a gift from my dad" I answered "Okay cool, what's inside it" she asked "I don't know, I was never able to open it" I said. "Okay, where is your hair brush" she then asked as she dropped the box on my shelf "It's on the bottom shelf" I answered then she took it and went to her side of the room.

I was getting ready to go to the bathroom when she said "If you don't know how to open that box, why don't you just ask your dad" then I answered "I can't because both my mom and dad died during the war" "I'm so sorry about that" she said "Don't worry, they died when I was just four and I can't even remember what my dad looks like. I can only remember little memories of my mom, so it's kinda ok" I replied "Okay" she said and I went to the to the bathroom to have a nice long shower.

After I got out of the bathroom, I put on something comfortable and lay on my bed.

After a while I took out the box from my closet and just stared at it for a while. 'I just can't seem to know how I can open it, it was just some dumb metal box and I couldn't even break it open' I thought to myself. I looked at the writing behind it that read 'Happy birthday from dad.' I felt something rolling down my arm, that's when I realized that I was still bleeding from the fight I had just encountered. "Hey Layla, do you have a bandage" I asked but she didn't answer because she had already fallen asleep

Some of the blood dropped on the box, but before I could clean it off. The box started to glow really brightly that the light covered the entire room and then I heard the sound of something unlock. The light slowly dimmed and then the box was open And inside the box was a necklace and a photo. It was a photo mom and someone else. It was a man he had red hair just like mine, I couldn't see his facial features because it was all blurry and smudged with blue. Behind the photo was a note

'This necklace is a treasure and it is rightfully yours, never take it off.

Dad.'

I couldn't believe it that after all these years I finally opened it. The necklace had a blue crystal on it and it was glowing, I decided to put it on, then when I tried to take it off it didn't come off. I decided that after everything that happened that day I was so exhausted, I should bother myself about it in the morning. So far today has been one hell of a-day
