Before you start I must warn you that this story is definitely fan based so there is tons of other fandom mentioning. I also may not mention characters you know so unless your prepared to dig a bit for info you may be lost.

Just so you readers know I haven't ever been to high school so it's kind of a challenge when it comes to the stuff at school in the story. So please go with my fake school logic and if it's not correct I'm sorry. I've also never had a romantic relationship so I'm fantasizing what happens so I'm at another disadvantage. An even more pressing matter is the fact that I haven't watched Diabolik lovers, played the game or read the manga, I've only read fanfics on Wattpad for it so I lack some knowledge on them and get most of my information from the internet. I also have severe motivation problems, I don't mind if you give me some helpful reminders but please don't all spam me with requests to update. If you do then This is what will happen.

Now that brings me to my usual note on comments. I really want everyone commenting and giving me feedback or just expressing yourselves however,I don't want swearing in the comments. People come to read stories and probably don't want to hear swearing and other inappropriate things, if any characters swear it's because that's part of their character complex like for example Ayato or Liato or Subaru, but they won't swear as much as they usually do. I will let you say what you want but if it's inappropriate you should keep it to yourself. Feel free to add stars or dots to make your writing free of inappropriate words, things like "shit and crap and hell or bloody hell I'll let slide but nothing else. Please don't let this discourage you because like I said I really want to get writers feedback like if I spelt a name wrong or something else.

Now for my long copyright note, hacking, spamming and no threatening any living person note, I shouldn't have to write the no threatening note but I've read a story where an author was threatened so as a warning I've decided to install one.

For now my plan is to keep it a Subaru x reader but if I end up giving in to my inner voice it could end up as a love triangle or larger (author laughs nervously and rubs the back of her neck). (***Obviously I gave in and since I can't think of any way to keep it simply a Subaru x reader it's now just a diabolik lovers x reader. Though Subaru will be in it I promise you from the bottom of my demon fox heart!***)

Be glad I didn't make this one of those sibling love complexes yet. (Insert evil laugh, Kanato or Liato's laugh.)

Now before we start on the actual story I will have a few different things like Japanese words you need to know to survive this story without being confused, if you're an Otaku you're probably fine but this is for those who aren't familiar with the terms. I will also make character bios for the important characters in the story not including the Dia boys because most of you already know and if you don't it's in the book so no point bothering, however I will add a picture of each of them and the lesser characters. Any new important characters I'll make bios for later in the book or the ones I want to show changes for. Finally for those of you that don't know the reader insert terms I'll make a list of meanings and those I add after that I'll explain in the chapter they arrive in but no other times after and that goes for the list of them too, like I said this is for people who don't know the terms and those that do should be fine, if you aren't sure about something comment.

Tasukete = Help or help me

Oyasumi = Good Night

Chotto matte = Wait up

Kuwai = I'm scared

Kawaii = Cute

Onisan = Big Brother

Ototochan = Little Brother

Imoto (chan) = Little Sister

Oneechan = Big Sister

Otosan = Father

Okasan = Mother

Ojisan = Uncle

Obasan = Aunt

Ojichan = Grandpa

Obachan = Grandma

Chan = Goes after a young female's name (or sometimes a guy's name but not often) and is equivalent to Ms in English in a casual way but that also depends

Kun = Goes after a young male name and is equivalent to Mr in English in a casual way but that also depends

Senpai = someone of higher social standard (often used for people who many have a crush on in anime)

San/Sama/Sensei = polite way to address people older than you in a formal way mostly adults or those above your rank, works for females and males

Baka = Idiot

Suiren = Water lily (Kaito will call you this on occasion)

Tora = Tiger (Takashi and Yuma will call you this But Yuma won't usually add the chan part)

Meinu = Female dog (will substitute it for what Laito usually calls girls)

Ningyo = Doll (Laito will call you this with the chan part attached)

Chichinashi = Pancake (Ayato refers to Yui's lack of chest)

Meron = Mellons (Ayato refers to girls who have more chest)

Mesabuta = Pig/Sow (female pig, Yuma refers to Yui but will most likely just call her Sow so this isn't really necessary)

Kireina = Beautiful (Said by whatever brother wishes to say this and usually with the chan)

Shizuka = Quiet ( Subaru calls you this sometimes with the chan part)

Suzume = Sparrow (Shu calls you this sometimes with the chan because of your beautiful singing voice)

Iruka = Dolphin (Reiji and Ruki call you this sometimes with the chan because you're smart)

Neko = Cat (Kou has an obsession with cats for some strange reason and calls most girls Neko chan, I swear if he wasn't turned into a vampire by Karlhienz he'd be a cat)

Ore Sama = Yours truly (Ayato calls himself this which ticks everyone off)

Yandere = Sick twisted people that are very possessive and will kill anyone that they see as a threat to them being with their senpi

Tsundere = People that act all tough and seem to think their crush is stupid or dumb but are actually very sweet shy and embarrassed to show their affection

Hentai = Perverts...cough..Laiato..cough..

This is why I'm helping you out because when I first started no one bothered to write this stuff so I had no idea what It was saying this I was so confused. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONSULT THE LIST IF CONFUSED AT ANY POINT IN THE STORY AND I WILL TRY TO KEEP THE READER INSERT INFO UP TO DATE.

(f/n) = first name (to be honest use whatever name you want, it doesn't have to be your actual name)

(l/n) = last name (same goes for last name)

(n/n) = nick name

(h/c) = hair colour

(h/l) = hair length

(h/s) = hair style

(e/c) = eye colour

(s/c) = skin colour

(s/t) = skin tone (these two because some times one or the other makes sense)

(f/c) = favourite colour

(f/f) = favourite food

(s/f/f) = second favourite food

(f/s) = favourite snack

(f/d) = favourite drink
