I Don’t Wanna Live My Second Life

Arc 1 - Marie the Lonely- I won't bother you

”Royal Consort Eleanora Baumé Bainbridge ! The Emperor has pronounced that you have committed grave crimes upon the Royal Families bloodline! You will confront death today!” The Servant read off of the long parchment, guards encompassed the man as they remained in a straight line prepared to drag the woman from the spot.

Eleanora gazed at the men with upset and alarmed eyes, her heart felt as though it was never again beating, what had reverberated against her ears couldn’t have been right!

“T-That isn’t valid! I could never harm his Majesties kids!” She yelled urgently

The Head Servant sneered and folded the scroll over into it’s encased structure, his sharp eyes scowled at the young woman as she trembled in dread. “Take her...” He said with an insidious tone

The guards started to step over to Eleanora as she was still in shock while sitting on her bed

They brutally snatched her wrists and started to haul her out of the room “STOP!!! IT WASN’T ME! I DIDN’T DO IT!” She kept on battling against the regal protects as she suffocated in her distress.

They pulled her out of the large graceful lounging room from outside, her screams echoed throughout the palace “PLEASE!!! IT WASN’T ME I SWEAR I AM BEGGING YOU TO TELL HIS MAJESTY!!” Eleanora continued to beg for her life as they dragged her across the hard stone

The Empress watched with a wicked smile “Oh how I’ve waited so long for her to die...” her smile grew wider as she looked from above on the elegant balcony. Royal Consort Jade stood beside her with the same awful smile.

“Let’s hurry and leave to witness her death” The Empress spoke with no shame,

Here I was

Going to die

I didn’t anticipate that this would occur

Maybe I did..

“Eleanora, I cherished you beyond all doubt but you just couldn’t have enough? That you resort to killing my children?! What else did you want!!!?” The Emperor yelled uproariously, tears were tumbling down my face.

Watching the expression he made hurt my heart..

“I-I-I didn’t do it...I swear..” This was all that I could muster at this point, it was too hard for me to speak

I had no strength, my hands were tied to a rope tightly to the point of purple bruises shaping across my wrists.

The rope also was entangled around my neck

I could barely breathe

I was standing on a box that would be removed and I would choke to death...

“You liar!” He hollered once more

Everything I could see was his eyes...his eyes with such frightful agony

Indeed, even in my perishing minutes, I wanted to comfort him..

On the off chance that no one but me could see what was behind him...a group of glad ladies and their kids who jumped at the chance to see me bite the dust...

Ah..life

“Expel her”

To say that I could sum up my life in five words...it would be

An unfilled ton of hurt

[My migraines are so bad..]

[Am I dead at this point? I’m certain that is right..oh god choking to death was the worst!]

I opened my eyes just to locate a brown canopy

[WAIT WHAT!!!]

I checked my neck and my arms to discover nothing wounded,

“I am back in the palace..where I originally started off..”

....

“DID I TRAVEL BACK IN TIME???” I scratched my head in endeavors to trust it wasn’t true

How is this possible?

“I am so confused at right now,” I said in a slight murmur gazing at the mirror that was put before the bed. My features were youthful and quite beautiful. I was around 20 at this time, and the emperor was 29.

“I surmise this implies I’m back to the point of when I had the lowest status...which happens to be Noble Wife”

While being an honorable spouse I didn’t get much attention from the Emperor, which implies I didn’t get pampered as much...

“This is an absolute disaster...If I’m wearing this shabby pink dress this must’ve been the day I entered the palace...or the East side where it’s everything messy and foul” I stood up “Wh-!” just to fall on the dusty floor

[Definitely the after-shock of dying...] I laid there for a minute

I don’t want to be in the palace...

Eleanora murmured as she gazed at herself in the dresser mirror. Her hair was an exquisite hazy light brown and her eyes were a shade of splendid green.

“Looking at myself in the mirror like this is startling..” She talked delicately as her long hair hung over her right shoulder

“I need to dodge the Emperor as much as possible...which will be very simple considering he just visits...once...”

She stood up rapidly in anguish nearly tumbling onto the floor once more “Crud...I gotta move slowly..”

She brought down herself back onto the corroded dresser seat “Okay...RIGHT! He’ll be here in two days which means I have to figure out how to maintain a strategic distance from that man..”

Eleanora sat in the seat with empty thoughts

“I’m lost and I have no I-...That’s it I’ll pretend to be crazy!” She clapped her hands together with content with her acknowledgment

Despite the fact, her hands before long fell into her lap and a sorrowful expression showed up on her face.

[“After this, I would’ve met the Emperor’s Children..though they never became fond of me...In fact, they grew up to resent and hate me because the Emperor gave me as much attention than them...One of many things I’m starting to regret from my past is the fact that I knew the children were suffering but instead, I pretended to not notice, now I promise to love and treat them right”]

She sighed noisily, [“I genuinely don’t have the foggiest idea on how I lived in here... it never was as I envisioned it”] she got up off the seat and her legs trembled a little she held onto the corroded seat in hopes to stand steady.

Eleanora strolled forward and backward to become accustomed to walking again.

She grinned somewhat as the trembling in her legs stopped

“Its a start I guess!”

[“I should actually start improving myself...I used to not have any great skills but my beauty, I was so gullible..at least I learned some things but I was never fit to be here anyway”]

Eleanora laughed in a light dismal tone

Arc 1 - Marie the Lonely - Leave me be

Eleanora left her room, and she made a left to enter her pitiful little kitchen.

["I was too spoiled before...Always depending on maids"] She contemplated internally with apprehension

She gazed out the window lost in thought, she leaned against the rugged dining table. Her hands gripped it tightly.

Eleanora like all of the other Noble Wife's would be put into the shabby part of the palace, they had there separate little homes for privacy. The house she lived in felt as if it would fall apart at any moment.

She was given, obviously, food, books, and beauty care products. Despite the fact that attire wouldn't be given, most of the time, a portion of the Noble Wife's would need to utilize the fertile land close to there homes to plant vegetables.

At times it would be so bad to the point that the Emperor and Empress would completely forget about the other wives which led to their death.

Eleanora stretched and strolled toward the entryway leaving in a white long-sleeved silk dress, it was gifted by her father before he passed.

Right now she missed him more than anything...

She gazed at the trees, flowers, and the crystal lake.

["I guess I was favored a little, I didn't really appreciate the view until now..."

There was a small bridge that was built over the lake so individuals could travel every which way however they wanted.

Her white heels remained in the green grass as she stood a few feet from the lake, her eyes waited on the water.

["Just a couple more hours before the Emperor comes...then I will do what I should to maintain a strategic distance and avoid any interactions after that"]

Eleanora's eyes narrowed, she attempted her best to hold in the majority of the torment she felt.

"Why did they have to do that to me..? After all, they took..my ability to have children, my older sister, and the Emperor" She places her hand above her heart.

"Instead, I will let go, revenge never gains anything and in the end, I will be hurt even more, but instead I will try to be the best I can and escape this place!!"

She had a determined look in her eyes, her focus left the lake and onto the huge palace in the distance.

It was perfect!

My plan to avoid the Emperor would be absolutely wonderful! I wouldn't have to meet him in any way after this...

Because crazy women are ignored in the palace!

I grinned sharply as I poured myself a cup of tea, I extinguished the fire for the pot.

"He should be here in about 30 minutes..." I said looked out the window as the sun started to set

["The Emperor's heart was very easy to capture, now that I think about it..he asked me a simple question and I was actually quite frightened to answer it.."]

Sighing the memory soon appeared in my mind

("Do you think I'm a wicked person?" His voice was smooth and strikingly rough.

Eleanora had a flabbergasted expression, her eyes widened. Then her face softened into a glistening smile.

"How could I think you were a wicked person if I don't know you, you're Majesty? People could judge you from rumors and faceless actions, but no one would ever know the true you unless you allow them"

She said happily, staring at him directly in his dark blue eyes.)

Why did I say such a corny answer? (^艸^)

I chuckled to myself while gracefully taking a light sip of the tea I brewed.

"I should've said he was wicked and gullible..it wouldn't have mattered if he killed me or not, it was actually the definite truth" These words fell out of my mouth.

He was so sweet though, I'm a little excited to see him..weirdly

"THE EMPEROR HAS ARRIVED!" Two loud voices announced.

My heart started to beat faster and faster, if I didn't do this right, my peaceful death wouldn't be fulfilled!

I stood up quickly awaiting for him to enter.

"Greetings you're Majesty..." I curtsied, and I could feel his daggering icy blue eyes glaring at me. I raised my head to look at his annoyed face.

["Geez, I did not remember him being so angry...but he is still so handsome!! v(❆ڼ❆)v"]

"Hurry let's get this over with.." He pushed me aside and walked to the bedroom casually.

The view of his long charcoal colored hair flowed lightly and his aristocratic jacket made him look extravagant.

["...he smells really good..oh darling so sorry for what I'm about to do ⋋〳 ᵕ _ʖ ᵕ 〵⋌"]

I walked right from behind him and I purposely stepped on his long beautiful jacket

["Hopefully I'll have some blood come out for effe-"]

BOOM!!!!

Eleanora opened her eyes softly "AaaOowwwwwww..." she attempted to move yet her body wouldn't respond that quickly

["My plan is now in effect, but jeez I didn't expect to hit the floor that hard.."]

She squinted her eyes trying to soothe a portion of the weight from her temple. Eleanora looked to her side enjoying the perspective on the white silk curtains blowing from the delicate breezes.

The entryway opened and her gaze immediately moved toward that direction.

"You're awake!" He rushed over to her side

["Aww...my close friend Viscount Hervé, looks like you being a doctor came in handy for me!"]

"Who are you?" Eleanora innocently muttered Hervés' expression was shocked and hurt. "Are you my fairy!" Eleanora asked with a sweet smile

"Goodness god..oh no, no nooo!" Hervé started to pace forward and backward scratching at his blonde hair.

"Uh..excuse me fairy? How long have I been here?" Eleanora was able to sit up now, and oh how she was enjoying being crazy.

Hervé halted to take a gander at the young lady, who appeared to have a dumbfounded infantile look all over. He strolled over to the side of the bed again and got a seat.

"Eleanora are you certain you don't remember me?" He asked frantic and apprehensive

["I'm so sorry Hervé, however, this is so I can carry on with a decent life! ། ˵ ︣ ෴ ︣ ˵ །"]

"I'm so sorry mister fairy! I just can't seem to remember you're face..."

Arc 1 - Marie the Lonely - It’s Nice to Meet You!

Hervé was extremely frightened, one of the Emperors wives went crazy and on top of that it was his dearest friend!

Eleanora took a small scoop of yogurt on her spoon and put it in her mouth as she sat up.

Eleanora has been in the infirmary for a couple of days after the 'incident'. Her reputation was already ruined, which was great on her part.

The palace had rumors going around about her, as the wife who embarrassingly tripped on her night with the Emperor.

Having a night with the Emperor was a rare occasion and for her to bleed out from her head after tripping on his long elegant jacket was extremely embarrassing.

Though she didn't care...

After Herve found out that she didn't have any memories he left immediatly, and for the days passing by Eleanora was enjoying her time in the infirmary.

The man entered her room looking at the girl who seemed to be enjoying a cup of yogurt

Herve stared at the girl and sighed loudly "Eleanora.."

She looked in the direction of Herve "Yes?"

Herves eyes widened with a bit of hope "So you remember you're name!"

["Ah crud...well this could go well, I think"] She nodded and continued to take another scoop of yogurt.

"Great! This means your memories will come back slowly and there is nothing to worry about!" Herve said optimistically.

Eleanora tried her best not to look skeptical ["Not sure if that was a proper diagnosis, but it works for me"]

"I'll have to inform the Emperor, and soon you'll return to your quarters or possibly be kicked out of the palace" He spoke with a light and sorry tone

Eleanora smiled "Thank you mister fairy!" she could care less about either situation, at least she would be free in some way.

Herve cringed at the nickname "Uh, you can just call me Viscount Hervé"

Eleanora held in the urge to roll her eyes and continued to smile "Okay!"

The Empress drank her tea with such grace and ease, her skin was a flawless pale white and her eyes were a burgundy red. The color of her hair seemed to be a glowing sliver white.

Her eyes rose softly to glance at her husband

"Eugène, What are you going to do about that poor woman?" She placed her cup down softly

The Emperor sighed and his eyes stayed shut as they relaxed in their private room.

"Being married to Her helps the Kingdom politically after all her father had a large amount of land, I'm going to leave her be for now, though out of courtesy I'll meet her once more"

She nodded and smiled "I see..do you favor her?" The Empress asked with a forced sweet tone

"Is this all you called me for? I'm quite busy" He ignored her question and his icy blue eyes opened to look at his beautiful Empress.

"Yes..." she answered sorrowfully

His hand pushed his body up and he got out of the comfy chair, he adjusted his collar and jacket cuffs.

"Well then, I'll be leaving"

He walked towards the doors and left swiftly.

The Empress watched the door close and her smile faltered "Asshole...hopefully that little girl won't cause me any problems.." she said lowly while her blood red nails tapped on her wooden armrest.

I never noticed how boring it was to be in the palace until now...

Staying in this hospital bed is so tiring and I don't know why. I should get up and walk around, my limbs hurt by staying in the same position.

I wonder when I can get these bandages off my head!

Hopefully, they didn't make a mark...

I got up out of the stiff bed, my bare feet stepped onto the cold white marble floor.

I walked towards one of the long open windows, the sun was setting and the long white curtains sat still.

The wind didn't blow as roughly today, it was spring.

"Dying and then reliving the same life is not something I wanted.."

["Should I just die again instead?"]

*Knock Knock!*

My head turned back to see who's soft knock hit the door, though it was still quite loud.

Eleanora watching the doorknob turn and open slowly, a little brown head peeked through the door.

["The youngest princess!!!"] Eleanora felt her eyes get watery, but she quickly wiped her eyes and moved away from the window.

The little girl walked in the room with a lovely mint and white dress, Eleanora walked towards the girl and smiled.

"Bow Down before me Noble Wife," She said with confidence.

Eleanora has almost forgotten how rude mannered the children were to lower ranks, but soon she would teach her well. Though for now, she had to play her 'crazy card'

"I'm sorry I don't know who you might be...are you the little fairy princess?" Princess Marie-Paule looked baffled

"I-...Do you not know me?" She said with a slightly annoyed tone

Eleanora got down to her knees to stare the little girl in her face "My friend Viscount Hervé told me that I have memory problems I think..so I'm sorry I don't recognize you"

The little princess sighed and then her eyes beamed mischievously "Well...I'm the youngest princess of the Emperor! And you are supposed to do whatever I say you hear!"

Eleanora looked surprised ["She's really mischievous, but this will have to do for now.."]

"Okay! I am loyal to you You're Majesty!" Eleanora said with a bright smile, the little princess blushed and turned away.

It had been another 2 days..and finally

Today the Emperor would finally greet Eleanora and decide whether she would stay his wife or be kicked out.

Currently, Eleanora was preparing to go to the Emperor, even though he was supposed to come see her.

["When I get there, Hervé better explain it properly, or this won't go as good as I planned it too"]

She combed her wavy light brown hair while her lovely guest watched.

Princess Marie-Paule had become fond of Eleanora quite easily, but not fond enough for her to discipline the girl yet.

"Are you excited to see my father?" She asked while standing by the shabby mirror placed in the hospital room. "I don't remember who he is exactly so I'm not sure you're Majesty..." Eleanora said softly.

Marie-Paule narrowed her eyes "Eleanora come to you're knees"

The young woman came down to her knees and stared at the princess "Don't make a fool of yourself you hear! Don't call him a fairy or any crazy names...or you'll get in big trouble" Marie-Paule's exaggerated.

Eleanora smiled sweetly "Thank you for you're words, your highness, I will definitely follow them"

Marie smiled proudly while she stared at the woman in front of her

"Raise to your feet!"

Eleanora stood back up and dusted off her simple golden yellow dress.

"I'll be going now! I'll see you soon..." Marie-Paule said swiftly, Eleanora curtsied as she left the room.

Hervé entered right after the young princess left "Are you ready now Eleanora?" The young lady smiled "Yes Viscount"

____________________________________

["I didn't think that everyone would be here for the Emperor to decide my fate..."]

I stood in the throne room while the Emperor sat on his throne and the empress and children sat in their seats.

Marie-Paule looked at me with worried eyes as she sat there nervously.

Even the consorts were here

The scene in front of me only reminded me of dread, all of them stood there smiling as I choked to death happy that I was suffering.

Seeing them now hurts

Seeing him now hurts...

"Noble Wife Eleanora Baumé Bainbridge-

"Royal Consort Eleanora Baumé Bainbridge! The Emperor has pronounced that you have committed grave crimes upon the Royal Families bloodline!"

Why now? Why was it popping up in my head now!

"The Emperor would like to be informed upon you're health status" The servant spoke

Herve stood beside me ready to tell the Emperor about my "craziness or amnesia"

"You're Highness, May I speak?" Herve bowed waiting for the Emperors answer

"Yes," He said simply

I could feel the cold stares from the Empress and his Majesty's royal princess consorts.

I stood there with my eyes on his Majesty's face, I knew it was rude, but the me with amnesia didn't.

He stared back at me with annoyance, I could care less right now.

"Noble Wife Eleanora has been diagnosed with temporary amnesia, you're Majesty!" Herve declared

I could see from the side of my eye that the Empress was particularly annoyed with my persistent stare

"I see! That's why she is being so disrespectful by staring at my Husband with such eyes!" The Empress spoke with anger.

["It's time to go along with this mess"]

I looked down sorrily hoping to play in with my act

"Excuse her rudeness you're Grace! She doesn't seem to remember proper etiquette as her memory is not in the best shape as of now.."

"She's not fit to be in the palace if her memory has gone down the drain" Royal Consort Dainty spoke from the side.

The Empress had a slight smirk.

"Eleanora will return to her quarters and be provided with such books necessary for her to learn the required etiquette" The Emperor decided lazily

I was not the only one shocked by his decision, everyone else in that room seemed to have a flabbergasted look.

Except for the Empress, though her slick smile disappeared.
