Soojin: Ma’am should you be doing this? I mean revenge? How can we take revenge on that person? Im sure he’s not here anymore. Unless he’s a ghost? Am I gonna deal with ghosts?

Lady Jaesung: I don’t know if you already met him. But I’m sure he’s present in this time. I made sure of that.

Sips on her sweet wine.

Lady Jaesung: don’t worry. I am in control. You wont feel drunk at all. And besides, this is just a fine wine.

Soojin: so how are we gonna see this person you are to have your sweet revenge on?

Lady Jaesung: he will show up. I know. Just like how he managed to show up before and tricked me with that handsome face.

Soojin: i just know he was your husband. But Im still confused, you know? How is he alive at this time. Is this reincarnation? Or you did something? WAIT!!!! Are you some kind of evil witch?? What the ****!! Im out! Stop using my body and stop drinking that wine! The bottle is almost empty!

Lady Jaesung: as you may know now, I have witch abilities. Soojin, you are part of this blood. Now I’m here because, just like me in the past, you may have witnessed something that have awaken your inner abilities. I didn’t know I have these from the start.

Soojin: i started seeing you in my dreams when i had the accident last autumn. Some of my memories were gone. Can you help me with those lost fragments first before we go to your revenge agenda?

Lady Jaesung: I’m sorry. But I can’t help you with that. I can do manipulations, but I can’t alter the past. I can create new memories, but I can’t give you what’s yours.

Soojin: Nah, it’s fine. My memory is fine. I just cant remember some details before I fell from the stairs. But going back, how can I see your revenge target? You were in my dreams but the face is just not appearing. I always wake up whenever there’s a change to see him.

Lady Jaesung: All I want is to see his handsome face again. His handsome face just with some tears. This might be late. But I know we will see each other again, my dear husband.

As they finished that bottle of that sweet wine. Soojin, red and drunk, just lost and fell asleep. Lady Jaesung had exhausted her body trying to maintain a sober state even though she is dead drunk.

“Fuck it.” — the very first thought that came to my mind. What. The. ****.

My name is Min Soojin. I don’t know where am I or what date it is. But I’m lying on a hospital bed. I don’t think I’m dead yet. But the fact that I can’t move nor speak is what makes me crazy. What happened?

Now my head hurts. It’s like breaking in two. I am this close to screaming my mind out but my voice is gone.

Due to Soojin‘s terrible headache, she almost lost consciousness. But the images and events keep coming to her head. All felt real. All felt as if it was her. But it is not her.

Now I’m hallucinating? What great life to have, Soojin! I don’t remember giving pretty smiles like that. I don’t remember crying my heart out too. And I don’t remember being called Lady Choi at all. So who is this Lady Choi and why do we have the same face?

Soojin still can’t move nor speak. She just blankly stares at the white ceiling and blinding room light. Feeling hopeless, she just gave in and fell asleep. Hoping that when she open her eyes next time, there will be answers to her questions.

As Soojin finally fell asleep. A dream that almost seemed real happened. Not like any normal dream that can be forgotten once you woke up.

*Soojin in the dream*

Soojin: In I’m in a big room, writing something. What’s this? When did I learn to use brushes? Wow. This looks fine. As weird as it seems, I know now that this is a dream. And in this dream. I am not me. I am someone else.

random servant: Lady Min, the merchant from the south village requests to see you.

Checks the sun outside

Lady Min: is it noon yet? We agreed that we talk in the afternoon. Send them away.

servant: yes my lady.

Soojin: ohh Im no longer called Lady Choi. Now it’s Lady Min. Talk about confusing stories. And this personality right here. Lady Min, respect! You’re my spirit animal!

So what are you writing, Lady Min?

Few moments later.

Lady Min stopped writing. She stood up and made a not so ladylike stretching. Checking the weather outside.

Soojin: Now what is she up to? She changed her clothes too. From the pretty feminine wardrobe earlier, now she’s dressed like a normal person. And what’s with the hat? She stormed out of the big room. Where are we going now?

Servant: Lady Min, you have guest in the afternoon. Where are you going?

Lady Min: i need fresh ideas. Im going out. I’ll be back for the south village people later.

The servant can’t do anything about the Lady’s action.

Soojin: am I going on an adventure with this lady? We are walking and checking random things. I don’t know what is she looking for exactly.

They are in a marketplace. There are lots of items being sold in the place. Women’s accessories. Clothings. Raw meat. The buzz is not helping. The market sure is loud.

Some random fabric seller: Lady Min! You’re out early today! We have new silk. They arrived before the sun rose today.

Soojin: this seller is sure talking too much. I know this silk is not as top grade as he is saying. I know what top grade silk looks like. Mom used to bring me to the silk farm before so that I can learn all about our business not just the formal business education. Does this Lady know how to check those? She might be scammed.

Fabric seller continued with his sales talk. But Lady Min doesnt look interested in his sales speech.

Now they reached the last panel of the products.

Seller: Lady Min, if you could tell your father, Lord Min, these high silk. I can give you a generous discount.

Soojin: Oh no. Please don’t be scammed here. I will feel guilty. Those are normal silk. Please dont buy from this liar of a seller.

Lady Min just looked at the seller. She stared at him. Waiting for his next remarks.

Seller: so this could be priced at—

Lady Min: do you want me to check if these are really high grade as you have been saying? I will burn everything if even just a piece is not at my standard.

Soojin: that’s what i mean girl!!! You better not tell a lie or prepare to die now, you cheater seller.

Seller: I— sorry that call looks urgent

The seller was about to answer but someone interrupted outside calling him.

Lady Min didn’t waste a minute to wait for the seller. She went out and check the sky. It’s already noon. She has to go back home. While walking —BAAMM

Stranger: Im sorry. It must have hurt.

He says as he extends his hand to help us get up. Which, Lady Min didn’t bother to take.

Soojin: he has a good speaking voice. And he seemed handsome. Lady, we need to see his face! Don’t bother for your clothes, you have plenty at home. We need to see his face.

Lady Min just brushed him off. Without even looking at his face. She walked away confidently.

Stranger: Excuse me! I believe this belongs to you?

He ran towards us. Presenting a purse in his hand.

Lady Min took the purse back. When she was about to look up to the man’s face. Soojin woke up. She didn’t see the man’s face. The dream was over.

Soojin’s POV

Soojin opened her eyes to a hint of sunlight coming from the window pane. A bit disappointed with her interrupted dream, but still thankful for a new day at the hospital bed, still barely conscious.

Soojin: That sure was chaotic. And wow, the sun sure is beautiful. Didn’t know that this room has a window. Aren’t they gonna visit me here? I haven’t seen anyone since—Ughh

*Soojin wanted to scream but still cannot. Her head is hurting again. The alarm from her medical equipment is seeping into her head too. With the alarm going on and on, a group of doctors and staff entered her room.

Soojin: Come on, Soojin! You can do this. Move your fingers. Move anything! Say something!

With her sheer will power, Soojin managed to show her doctors a small reaction by moving her index finger.

Doctor: Finally, she has shown signs of wanting to live. Call her family to inform. And also her boyfriend will be back later, right?

Soojin: What boyfriend? I don’t have one though? Oh… Maybe? Haru?

Eventually, her seizures stopped. After sometime, she heard loud and heavy footsteps coming from the hallway and someone opened the door, panting.

Haru: Soojin… Soojin!

Still trying to catch his breath, he held Soojin’s hand. He is closed to crying. Then a nurse also entered the room and explained what happened earlier. And what can they expect after the seizures.

Nurse: Sir, aren’t you glad? After all, you’ve been staying with her almost every night. Her vitals are back to normal. After what happened earlier, we can conclude that she has regained her consciousness. She may still look like that, but she can hear you. She can also see you.

Haru, delighted by the nurse’s explanation, held Soojin’s hand tighter.

Soojin: Haru’s hands are warm. His warmth is also glowing. Wait? Why is he glowing?

Haru: Did you inform the Chairman? Please don’t contact Madame Min for the mean time. We don’t want to shock her. The Chairman and Madame Min can’t come right now.

Nurse: We called his secretary. But Chairman Min is away on a business trip.

Soojin: Makes sense. The company should be running completely fine without me. Father probably assigned my projects with his management team. After all, Haru looks busy running around.

After the nurse explained everything, Haru sat down beside Soojin’s bed and talked for a long time. She can’t totally see him but his deep and caring voice is very clear and echoing in her room.

*He talked to Soojin about what she has missed in her entire stay in the hospital. How her mother felt so sad and hopeless when she fell into a coma and continued to lie down for three whole weeks. Her mother seldom visited her as she can’t handle seing her daughter lie in bed looking so lifeless. Her position as the Management Director of MIN Group and CEO of MIN Hotel is still unoccupied; instead he is acting as a temporary director. Her older brother, Min Yoonseok, who is the Vice President of MIN Group, is also helping him with the hotel business too. Her father, Chairman Min Yoonwan, did consider to temporarily give the position to her twin sister, Soobin. However, she is far ready for the position. Soobin’s art gallery is also struggling; she can’t focus on two things at once. So they decided to put the position on hold till Soojin comes back. Chairmin Min believes that his daughter is strong and will come back.

Haru never felt uneasy talking without any response, as if having a soliloquy. Time passed quickly. It’s already dark outside. Haru stood up and closed the window. Soojin is still confused as Haru is glowing with a weird yellow aura. After sometime, Haru said his goodbye. And so much to Soojin’s surprise, he held her hand and kissed her on the forehead.

Soojin: What, so that’s why the doctors thought that Haru is my boyfriend. Well, it’s not that bad. Haru is a great catch. He’s handsome, fit and good at his work. I really hate it when entertainment companies approach us out of nowhere and offer him modeling, acting and whatever there is in the industry. Problem with this perfect man is that he is too caring. I don’t think he can kill an ant for his life. Once I get up from this hospital bed, I’m gonna look for a suitable lady for him. High time he goes on dates. Haru may be timid and reserved but he’s fun once they get to know him. That’s it. It’s final. Haru will have his first ever girlfriend once I get back!

Going back to my business, why is Haru glowing? Did I hurt my eyes too? I did move earlier. And I feel lively despite not being able to move. I can feel a different energy. I don’t know. Maybe I’m just confused since I just got my consciousness back. And my hearing got better too? Or am I just imagining things? I can even hear footsteps from outside this room. Ohh, someone’s coming, and she’s in high heels too. It’s my twin sister, Soobin.

Soobin: Soojin..

Why is Soobin so quiet? It’s been minutes since she entered the room. I can’t see her face but she is just standing there. And just like Haru earlier, she too is glowing. But unlike the sunny yellow that Haru has earlier, Soobin got a quite funny green aura around her. This is not a coincidence already. What do these colors mean? I’ve been feeling weird since I woke up. Now she is calling someone.

Soobin: It’s me. Where are you? It’s not like you to not visit Soojin. Are you avoiding me?

Haru over the phone: I left already. Work is piling up. I don’t have time for your antics.

Soobin: What did you say? KIM HARU—Damn it. He hung up on me. Why does Soojin has it all. Soojin, I know you can hear me. Hurry up and get back.

What’s wrong with Soobin? She sounds mad. And just like that, she left.
