Introduction?
Toji is Hira's boss. A CEO in a well-known company. He's known to be cold to his employees.
Hira has been working for almost 2 years under Fushiguro's company. It was also around a half year ago that Hira started to catch feelings for Fushiguro. Although he was very cold at her and always gave her a cold shoulder, she bared with it. She was a very consistent Personal Assistant of his. She was the very first person that lasted this long working as Personal Assistant for Fushiguro as others only last for 1-2 months.
Hi, I'm Hira. I am 24 years old. I've been working in XXXX Company since I was 23. Our boss is specially cold to his employees, even me who served him for almost 2 years.
I like him. I know this is wrong but I can not stop the feeling. It's also hard to stop it as we met almost every day because of work.
My boss has a wife but died due to some unknown reason, for me? I guess since I did not know why. Though, I am curious because of the reason. Last year, a huge commotion occurred here at the company. The staffs were so quite, it's like if they make one wrong move, they'd be fired. When I arrived at the Boss's office, it was wrecked and I was not allowed to ask any questions. After a month, I heard from my coworkers the reason why. It was his wife's death anniversary.

Early in the morning at Hira's house.
Hira
"Ahhhh...." I stretched my arms and slowly got up and sat on my bed.
Hira
"What should I do today?" I pick up my phone and looked at the notification. I was humming while scrolling on my phone. "Hmmm? What's this? It's Vieve's Birthday next week! I completely forgot."
I quickly got up and took a shower, ate my breakfast and change my clothes. I headed to our favorite shop Channel, of course. I checked some new product and saw the best and cutest handbag. I decided to take it as my Birthday Gift for Vieve.
After I payed, I left the store. I waited for the grab I booked. After a few minutes, the taxi arrived. While I was sitting at the taxi, suddenly, a notif popped on my phone, I checked it and it was Vieve. She was asking if where I was, we still have a dinner and I completely forgot about it. I replied her text and said that I'm on my way.
After a few minutes, I arrived at Vieve's house. A Nany welcomed me and I headed straight to the dining table.
Vieve
"Welcome, girl." I greeted her with a smile.
Hira
"Advance Happy Birthday, Vieve." I smiled at her and hugged her.
Vieve
"Thank youu. Take a seat, Ira" I said and took a seat.
Ira is what Vieve's nicknamed me. She said it's way cuter than Hira.
Hira
"Okiii." I took a seat and asked for a glass of water and a Nanny grabbed it for me.
Vieve
"So, any changes about Mr. Lucky guy?" I grinned at her knowing she's been dying over him. I know very well how deeply in love she was at Toji, and I also know how low her chance was but I still supported her.
Hira
"Sadly, no... Did I do something wrong? was I not her type or am I just not likable?" I asked continuously.
Vieve
"No. No. Maybe he's still not ready to be in a relationship yet?" I said to calm her down.
Hira
"Yeah, you always said that. Anyway, I have work tomorrow, and.... we'll meet again..." I sighted knowing I'll meet him again, struggle from his cold shoulder again. Why can't he just like me.
Vieve
"Well, that's fine. Just don't give up, maybe he'll change his mind?"
Hira
"Well, that's a bit hard to dream for."
Nanny
"Ma'am, your glass of water."
Hira
"Thank you." I smiled at her and drank the water."
Hira
"Though, he seems to talk to me about my day now. Like "How's your day?" "Did you eat" "Had enough sleep?" Like those. He's really giving me some false hope." I sighted.
Vieve
"God! So there IS an IMPROVEMENT. I'm glad. Since when did this changes came?" I excitedly ask."
Hira
"Well, just a few months ago. I didn't tell you about this as I was thinking if I should gatekeep this in case he'd change, but he continued it. So here's my tea?" I chuckled.
Vieve
"God, girl! How could you keep this from me! I'm gonna cry! You're a traitor!" I faked cry
Hira
"Stoppppp..." I laughed watching her act and made a drama. Oh, how lucky I am to have this girl.
Vieve
"I am really happy for you, babe. Looks like there is some hope hmm? Don't worry, I'm here to support your delulu." I cracked and completely laughed.
After a few minutes of chatting, we ate and I took a short rest and we watched some movie and talked about her boy friend. Vieve's really a good friend of mine. We've been friends since we were highschool.
My parents separated so I often spend my days at her house so I won't feel lonely as I am staying alone at my condo.
I'm really glad to have her around. I'm also excited for tomorrow's work as I get to meet him again. I missed him, really. After a week of leave preparing for Vieve's Birthday, I get to work only for tomorrow because of a special client and as a Personal Assistant, he needs me. Does he really?
After a few hours of spending time with Vieve, I left and headed to my condo. I bid goodbyes and hugged her.
Hira
"Hayst... I'm tired." I said as I layed on my bed after I took a shower and fell asleep.
Chapter 1
Hira
After a few minutes of laying on the bed, I fell asleep.
Hira
After a few hours, I woke up. It was around 4 am. I prepared the things I need such as my present, the clothes I'll wear, etc.
Hira
After preparing all the things I need, I greeted her through message and headed back to sleep since her the celebration will start at 3pm.
After a few hours of rest, Hira woke up and changed her clothes. The venue will be at a hotel and Vieve's patents will be the one who'll fetch her.
Hira
I wore a white dress at Vieve's Birthday, I know it's her favorite shade.
Hira
"Picture before celebrating, I guess?" I said as I pose and took another picture.
After a short while, 2pm sharp, Vieve's parents arrived.
Hira
I headed outside of my condo and saw Aunt's car. I immediately rush and paid my respect to them.
Hira
"Good afternoon, Mom, Dad." I gave them a smile as they welcomed me inside their car.
Mrs. Smith
"Good afternoon, hon." I smiled and gave you a kiss on your cheek.
Mr. Smith
"Good afternoon, honey." I smiled and gave you a hug. "You look stunning. Vieve would love your outfit today."
Hira
"Thank you, Mom, Dad. I'm glad. I bought my gift for Vieve, I hope she'll love this." I smiled.
Mrs. Smith
"Oh, she will. Everything you gave her, she loves them all, honey."
Hira
"Thank you, Mom." I smiled.
Mrs. Smith
"You are welcome, hon. Lets get going, shall we?" I gave Hira a warm smile as I patted her head.
This is Mr. Smith and Mrs. Smith, Vieve's parents. When my parents separated and my Mom left as she went abroad. They took care of me as if I was their own. I have a work. I am a Personal Assistant at a well-known company. I saved all of my income trying to pay them from taking care of me. They're a really sweet couple.
After a short trip, we arrived at the venue. Vieve welcomed us.
Vieve
"You look stunning, Sis." I complimented her knowing how beautiful she is. Oh how lucky I am to met this gorgeous girl.
Hira
"Thank you, Shortie." I giggled as I teased her.
Mrs. Smith
"Baby's, let's head inside." I lead them as I know they will be stuck outside from teasing each other.
Vieve
"Okii. Okii. Coming, Mom." I said as Hira, Dad and I followed her.
When we get inside, the design was gorgeous.
Yep. White. Vieve's favorite. I already expected this, that's why I wore a white dress that I know would match the venue.
After a short while, I waited at a table where Vieve and I talked about some little tea's. We love talking about tea's about other people. We have done this several times since we were highschool. Oh how it bring back memories.
After a while, as Vieve and I were chatting, the celebration started.
Vieve left and headed to the second floor. When she walked down the stairs, everyone looked at her as Mom and Dad introduced her. Oh how stunning she is.
Mrs. Smith
"Let me welcome, my daughter, Vieve. My one and only. I can't believe she's already this old. Just yesterday, she was still crawling on the floor and now, she's walking like a princess. Today is her 24th Birthday. Happy Birthday, my Vieve." I smiled as introduced my daughter to everyone.
As the celebration started, everyone started chatting and eating. I was relaxing at my table eating some dessert when suddenly, a notification pop-up on my phone.
Hira
"What? But I cant leave later on." I sighted as I looked at my phone and replied, "Yes, Will be there."
After entertaining my guests, I hurriedly came to Hira's table. I saw her sighting while looking at her phone. What could happen again?
I bet it's herboss again. Hayst. That jerk.
Vieve
"Hira, what's the matter?" I said while offering her some drinks.
Hira
"Uhmm... Vieve, I have to tell you something..." I worriedly said to her.
Vieve
"What is it? Is something bothering you?"
Hira
"Well, my boss texted me and said that the meeting with our special client today got moved. I have to go to work later around 6pm. Are you cool with it? I mean it's your special day today and I can't even celebrate it with you...."
Vieve
"That jerk. Really." I annoyingly rant.
Vieve
"Hayst... Okay, okay. I mean, your work is important, can you catch up ?"
Hira
"I don't think I can, It will start at 9pm and will end around 11pm."
Vieve
"Hayst... Okay, just catch up at the after party, okay?"
Hira
"Okii, okii. You really are the best." I smiled at her knowing she's not really happy.
I felt really bad knowing I can't be with Vieve today. Hayst. But I have to go to work. It's an important client, a veey important one.
Vieve
"Well, there's still a lot of time we can enjoy! Let's go! Let's chat a drink a bit." I tried to cheer her up as I know she felt really guilty.
Hira
"Okii! I'll be leaving around 6pm sharp, okay?" I said as Vieve grabbed my hand and we ran to another table filled with drinks and desserts.
After chatting, eating and drinking, time flies and it was already 6 pm. After the goodbyes, I headed straight at the company and changed at the company's comfor room.
When I arrived at the Boss's room, I knocked first and waited for an answer before opening the door.
A man inside the office spoke. As I heard it, I opened the door and greeted him. He was signing some papers and arranging some file. I sat on my table and opened his schedule for tonight's meeting.
Chapter 2
While I listed all the things he need before coming at the venue where the meeting will be held, I tried to talk to him and break the awkward atmosphere around us.
Hira
"Good evening, Mr. Fushiguro. Have you eaten your dinner?" I asked and looked at him.
Toji Fushiguro
"Yes." I coldly reply. I did not pay much attention to her as I could smell the alcohol lingering around her. Even though she tried to cover it with a perfume, it could still be smelled.
Hira
"That's great." I added.
After that answer, the awkward atmosphere came back again. I do not know what to do. It's kind of bothering knowing he's there and I just can't focus on what I was doing.
Shortly after, I received a phone call.
Hira
"Yes?" I asked to the other line waiting for a response.
Assistant
"Hello? Is this Hira Aile? I'm Mr.Gu's Assistant, tonight's Mr.Fushiguro's client."
Hira
"Yes, is there a problem? Isn't the meeting gonna start at 9pm?" I was kind of worried since it was still 7pm. Is there something wrong with the client? Will they cancel it? Their a big help for the company.
Assistant
"So, Mr. Gu would like to move the meeting from 9pm to 8pm because he have an urgent problem that has to be faced. In order to proceed the partnership, he would like to move the meeting because he is not sure if he'll be able to hold another meeting with Mr. Fushiguro again."
Hira
"Okay. Copy. I'll inform Mr. Fushiguro this instance. Thank you for informing us." I gave a relaxed tone hearing it will not be cancelled.
After the call, I immediately inform Mr. Fushiguro about the matter.
Toji Fushiguro
"So it will be moved? Okay. Is the files and presentations already prepared?" I asked in a calming yet cold tone.
Hira
"Yes. Everything is ready. How about you, Mr. Fushiguro?" I did not know what spirit bewitched me when I suddenly asked that! Oh my God. I'm really nervous. Why did I ask that?!
Toji Fushiguro
"I'm good, get me another suit, I'll change my clothes." I answered. I was kind of shocked when she asked that. I know she's always been a perfectionist. She would never ask such thing if she didn't find any dust or dirt on my clothes or face.
After I took another suit of his, I gave it to him and helped him change. I tied his tie. His face was very close to my face. I do not know why I was embarrassed and nervous. Maybe because it's been a while since our bodies got so close like this? I don't know.
I looked at her while she was tying my tie. I could see how nervous she was. Am I that scary? I'm confused. Did I do something wrong? Why's she acting like this? Though I wish this could last a few more minutes.
After a short while, I'm finished fixing his tie and suit. I step back and said his good. He look elegant. Oh god I can't believe I'm taking care of someone so high like this.
Hira
"Everything's prepared, Mr. Fushiguro. Shall we head down?" I said as I took my laptop and other files I need.
Toji Fushiguro
"Mhmm.." I answered. She already knows that mean 'Okay'.
I opened the office's door and we head to the elevator. Inside the elevator was so silent and awkward. It even got more awkward when we have to wait for almost 5 minutes because we are at the 50th floor. Oh how I wish the elevator's door would open now.
After a few minutes, the door opened. The awkward atmosphere finally disappeared but then it came back when we head inside the car. The driver was so silent. I wish he would play some song or talk a bit. I tried to not pay attention to anything till we arrived at the venue.
When we came out of the car, an Assistant welcomed and lead us inside.
Assistant
"Hello Mr. Fushiguro. I am Lia, Mr. Gu's Assistant. Please come inside, Mr. Gu is waiting for you."
I followed them and we came inside an elevator. The atmosphere was calming, we waited for the elevator's door to open till it has. When we head inside a room, Mr. Gu was already there waiting for us.
Assistant
I'll be off now, Mr. Fushiguro.
Mr. Gu
"Good evening, Mr. Fushiguro." I stand up and offered him my hand and shaked it.
Toji Fushiguro
"Good evening, Mr. Gu. It's good finally seeing you." I gave him a fake smile.
Mr. Gu
"Thank yu and sorry for moving the schedule. Something emergency came up and I have to finish this meeting soon." I smiled.
Toji Fushiguro
"No, it's fine. Shall we head straight to the meeting?" I tried to rush the meeting.
Mr. Gu
"Sure do." I could see he was bored and tired of this but he cant do anything. I'm a big help for his company and I could see he needs me. Mr. Fushiguro is known to cancel a client when it asks for things such as moving the schedule. I moved our schedule two times and he still stayed and meet me. I can see it, he really does need my help. I like him. I can see his potential for growing his company that is why I tested him.
While they were talking, I prepared the presentation for the meeting. I could see the fake smile Fushiguro is having while talking to Mr. Gu. This, man. Really.
Toji Fushiguro
"Ms. Aile, is everything ready?" I asked her in a gentle tone
Hira
"Yes Mr. Fushiguro. I can start the presentation now." I smoothen my voice trying to hide my nervousness. This is a big client. I can't afford to make mistakes.
Mr. Gu
"Okay, let's start." I gave the two of them a warm smile. Something up with this two, it's like there's something in there that I could not tell.
Hira
"Okay. Let me proceed." I said and start explaining that datas of our company.
I explained how our company boosted each year. After a while of explanation, I can tell I'm doing a good job. I can also see how Mr. Gu's reaction. I know we can win him.
While I was explaining, Mr. Fushiguro explain everything about the benefits for both partys.
Mr. Gu
"I'm moved. I'll conduct this partnership. It's settled. Thank you Mr. Fushiguro. This partnership will sail to another great achievement for both partners."
Toji Fushiguro
"Thank you. Cooperating with me is the right choice Mr. Gu." I smiled at him, this time, it was sincere.
The partnership was success. I'm ready to celebrate this achievement.
