Have you ever wondered if a person who was deemed evil can change to the side of good?
Well, let me tell you a story. This story takes place a few decades ago.
There was a boy named Rimuru who once lived in a northern region of the Empire. He was part of a Hunter Clan known as the Partas Clan.
He was one of the two remaining survivors of his clan.
If he had been there at the time when their clan was attacked by another clan, he could have saved his clan.
***
A boy stands on a pile of dead bodies. The crimson red blood of the slaughtered humans has dyed the ground red.
The cold wind of the North touches the skin of the young boy. His body is covered in blood, and his muscles feel numb.
He looks at the surroundings, and there is one enemy left in this frozen wasteland.
Many would wonder, "How did it end up like this?" To answer that question, we have to turn back time and take a Look to the Past.
***
Rimuru Tempest, a young boy born in the Hunter Village known as the Partas Clan, was famous for his clan's excellent skills in exterminating Danger Beasts.
Rimuru lived in this clan with his family, who had once resided in the capital. He knew very little about their lineage, and it barely interested him. What interested him the most was his childhood friend, Esdeath, who happened to be the daughter of their Clan Chief.
The two were great friends, inseparable in every way. They would hunt Danger Beasts together, laugh together, and do all kinds of stuff together.
They were thought to be warriors, and their parents instilled in them the philosophy of "the weak die, and the strong survive."
When Rimuru turned 15, he went to the Empire to apply to become a soldier. He was glad that he was able to apply and become one.
Eager to bring the news back to his clan, his goal in becoming a soldier was to help his clan and his cherished childhood friend.
Happily, he returned to the north, hoping to deliver the good news. However, upon arrival, he witnessed that the people of his clan had been massacred. They were all dead, and no one was alive.
He searched for Esdeath, his childhood friend, hoping to at least see her, but he didn't even catch a glimpse of her shadow.
He went to his home and saw that his mother was badly injured and on the brink of death.
"Mom," he said, approaching her.
"My son, please avenge us," were the only words his mother uttered before taking her final breath.

That leads us to where we are now. The bitter winds of winter howl through the desolate North, where the snow-covered landscape stretches as far as the eye can see. In the midst of this icy terrain stands Rimuru, a boy adorned in a cloak of blood.
His breath forms frosty plumes in the frigid air, but his determination burns hotter than any fire. His enemies, a horde of 100 battle-hardened warriors from a Tribe of Warriors, approach with thunderous footsteps.
As the first snowflake hits the ground, Rimuru unsheathes his gleaming sword, its blade shimmering with a faint azure light. He takes a deep breath, his eyes narrowing as he prepares for the impending onslaught. The sound of clashing steel fills the air as the Tribe of Warriors charges towards him, their war cries echoing through the icy valley.
With speed and unmatched precision, Rimuru engages his foes, dancing through their ranks like a winter gale. His blade slices through armor and flesh with ease, leaving a trail of fallen warriors in his wake. The bitter cold and his desire for revenge fuel his strength, each swing of his sword carrying the weight of a blizzard and the hatred for those who have done wrong.
Though outnumbered and outmatched, he continues to step forward. Right at that moment, a hidden power awakens inside him—a power of blazing fire that can destroy and burn anything it touches. It is one of the lost Teigu, awakened by Rimuru. This Teigu can only be used by one bloodline and is known as the Blazing Heart, spilling blazing hellfire onto the battlefield.
With his newfound power, Rimuru deflects arrows with a flick of his wrist. The arrows that come towards him ignite in flames and turn to ashes. He dodges spears with agile acrobatics and counters each enemy with a deadly blow enhanced by his flames.
His icy gaze never wavers, determined to prevail against overwhelming odds. The Tribe of Warriors, once brimming with confidence, now feels the icy grip of fear tightening around their hearts.
Driven by anger
and the desire to take revenge for his fallen people, Rimuru's attacks grow fiercer with each passing moment. His strikes become more devastating, sending heat waves through the snow-covered ground. One by one, the warriors of the Tribe fall, their bodies burning by Rimuru's hellish flames. Soon, their bodies turn to ashes and become one with the unforgiving earth.
The long battle finally comes to an end, with a single warrior left from the enemy's side. Rimuru steps forward to look at the last man standing—the Warrior Chief, the one who ordered the attack on his clan.
"Please forgive me... I will give you anything you want. Just please let me live," pleads the Warrior Chief.
"Did you really think that your plea would save you? I will kill every member of your clan, and I won't leave a single life behind. Consider it mercy that you will be going ahead of them," Rimuru says, looking at the Warrior Chief with his icy eyes.
Rimuru does what he said he would do. He kills everyone from the Warrior Tribe, not sparing a single one, whether they be children, elderly, or women. Rimuru doesn't hesitate to kill them all.
In the end, only silence remains in the icy wasteland. Rimuru stands alone amidst the fallen, his breath forming a misty cloud around him.
He has won the battle and achieved revenge, but he has also lost something that he can never get back.
The North, once a realm ruled by the Tribe of Warriors, is now nothing but a graveyard for the fallen. It will serve as one of the stepping stones for Rimuru to become known throughout the Empire as the Blaze King—the one who rules over the element of fire.
***
Unknown to Rimuru, there was another survivor from his clan—a girl with long blue hair and blue eyes. She was his childhood friend, a girl that Rimuru greatly adored, and he would do anything for her.
Esdeath also arrived at their clan and witnessed what had happened. Later on, she would take the same path as Rimuru and would be known as the Empress of Ice.

One year has elapsed since Rimuru embarked on a rampage that culminated in the annihilation of an entire clan. This incident has since been renowned as the Blizzard's Last Stand Incident.
Upon receiving news of this event, the high-ranking officials of the Empire swiftly took action to secure Rimuru as a valuable military asset.
Rimuru's exceptional abilities did not disappoint the esteemed upper echelons of the Empire. In less than a year and a half, Rimuru achieved remarkable feats that firmly established his esteemed status within the Empire's military ranks.
Throughout this period of one and a half years, the Empire has served as Rimuru's domicile—a place for which he willingly stands as a formidable guardian.

Location: East of the Empire
Intelligence suggests that there exists a hidden stronghold of the rebel group known as The Resistance, and the esteemed upper echelons of The Empire have decreed that one of their most accomplished generals shall be dispatched to ruthlessly eradicate any individuals audacious enough to rebel against The Empire's authority.
Rimuru, the dutiful recipient of this solemn command, promptly embarks upon the designated location.
Presently, a Mountain of deceased Resistance members has amassed, forming a Miniature Mountain constructed from their lifeless bodies.
Standing In front of this Mountain of lifeless bodies, a young man in his Early Teens who was wearing a black military uniform, adorned with insignia signifying his lofty rank as a general.
Clutched in his right hand is a black katana, its blade enshrouded in scorching flames.
Rimuru directs an icy gaze toward the prone figure of the enemy commander.
"Please, I Ask you to cease this brutality. You must awaken to the realities that this Empire is..."
The enemy commander didn't get to finished his words, because his body was Slice in half and his body was burnt by the searing infernal Flames generated by Rimuru's Imperial Arm.
"My Lord, what course of action shall we pursue with the surviving members of The Resistance?" queries a red-haired gentleman, addressing Rimuru.
"Benimaru, you are well aware of the task at hand... Eliminate them all," Rimuru decrees without even to casting a fleeting glance towards the surrendered members of The Resistance.
Rimuru's guiding principle is Simple: "No prisoners, no mercy." He is renowned as The Blazing King, an indomitable force prepared to extinguish anyone who is foolish Enough To Rebel against his beloved homeland.
"AHHHHH...HELP, I BEG OF YOU!"
"HELP US!"
"AHHHHH!"
The agonizing cries of The Resistance members reverberate throughout the vicinity, yet Rimuru remains impervious to their entreaties. To him, their desperate pleas are A Music to His ears.

Rimuru returns to their camp and enters his tent. Once inside, he notices a white envelope with the wax seal of the emperor.
Rimuru removes the seal and opens the letter.
What he reads is an order of summons from his emperor. The details of why he is being summoned are not stated, but Rimuru himself has a rough estimate of why he is being summoned.
***
It took Rimuru 2 weeks before he could reach the Royal Capital, and once he stepped into the audience chamber, Rimuru was greeted by the Emperor and two of his other generals, known as General Najenda and General Budo.
Najenda was a young woman who was only a year older than Rimuru. She had long silver hair tied and braided, along with purple eyes. She wore a black sleeveless shirt and a black mini skirt. She was the holder of the Imperial Arms known as Pumpkin.
Meanwhile, General Budo was a tall, muscular man with spiky blond hair, two longer bangs resembling horns, and blue eyes. He wore a black, skintight top with long sleeves, a dark gray suit of armor, white pants, and a red cloak. His shoulder guards were notably large and had yellow tomoe markings on them.
Rimuru, who saw the two, only looked at them with cold eyes.
"Aren't you even going to greet me, General Rimuru?" Budo asked.
"There's no reason for me to greet you," Rimuru said, standing next to Najenda and looking at the girl in front of him.
"That aside, you're beautiful as always, Miss Najenda," Rimuru said, which made Najenda blush due to Rimuru's unexpected remarks.
"Hooh, it looks like you have an eye for the young miss. You'd better make a move on her now before someone steals her from you. Hahaha," Budo said as he laughed.
"Shut up. I have no intention of getting into any kind of relationship," Rimuru said, which made Najenda look disappointed.
"Anyway, is there any reason why we are called here today?" Rimuru asked.
"Nope, I have no idea why we are called here today," Najenda replied.
"You two might not know since you've both been out of the capital for a long time. I think the reason why we are all called here is that there's a new general who will be joining us, and I heard that it's a female with the same hair color as you, General Rimuru," Budo said.
"A girl with the same hair color as mine, huh? That's interesting," Rimuru said, knowing that blue hair is a trait of his clan and wondering if this person is also a member of his clan.
Not long after, the Emperor and the Prime Minister entered and took their seats.
"Before we start, I would like you all to meet a new general who will be joining our ranks starting today. Please come in," the Emperor said, and the door opened once again, revealing a girl entering the room.
The girl had porcelain white skin, a slender body, long light blue hair, and blue eyes. She wore a general's apparel with long sleeves, buttons on the upper arms, a blue scarf around her neck, and high-heeled boots. She also had a tattoo on her chest, which was the sign of her Teigu.
"Esdeath," Rimuru said as he stood there frozen.
"Rimuru... You're Rimuru, right?" Esdeath said as she rushed towards Rimuru and Hug him,
Rimuru Return The Hug and embrace the Young Girl.
The people in the room were also in shock since they didn't know that the two were acquainted with each other. But what shocked them the most was that it was their first time seeing Rimuru show his emotions.
The look on his face was so calming that it made the people inside the room think that there was someone who could calm the raging fire of the Blaze King like the wind.
