*phew* finally, done with this work. *stretches* Now, I can leave early. *starts packing her bag*
Colleague 1
She finished her work early again. *whispers*

Yeah. She seems to be smart but doesn't socialize with anyone.

I heard she looks down on people and that's why she doesn't talk to anyone.

What!? I heard that she’s bad luck for people around her.

(Bad luck...guess I do carry bad luck with me...)*about to leave*
Senior
Have you finished the work I gave you?
Leia
but..that’s your work...*mumbles*

WHAT!? HOW DARE YOU!?
Boss
What's with this commotion!?
Senior
*gasp* b-boss...nothing much sir. This newbie here just refused to do work and I was explaining to her.
Boss
Hm? *looks at Leia* refused to work? Is this true?

Leia stood stunned about what just happened. All she could hear were the whispers of her colleagues.

Humph! You deserve it brat! This wouldn’t have happened if you had finished my work. *leaves*

*clenches her bag* (Why? Why is this happening? all I wanted was to have a quiet life...why....)
She held back her tears and decided to go back home.
Leia
*sigh* How am I gonna live without any money...I still have to pay this month's house rent and bills...
She couldn’t hold back her tears anymore and started sobbing. The sound of her cry filled her room.
Leia
Why...*sniff*why is my life so miserable...*sniff*
Leia
*sniff* Who can it be? *looks at the clock, it was past midnight* No one comes to visit me and at this hour? Can it be...a thief!?
She grabbed a wooden vegetable cutting board and slowly walked towards the door.
Leia
I am calling the police if you don’t answer!
She opened the door slowly and started swinging the cutting board in the air.
Leia
*stops* Huh? There is no one here. How is this possible?
She checked the corridor and sees no one. Assuming that it might be a prank played by someone she was about to close the when she spotted an envelope at the door. She picked it up and went inside the room and locked the door.
Leia sat on her bed and thought for a few minutes and later opened the envelope to find a letter and a key in it.
“Leia, this is your mom. I am writing this letter to let you know a family secret of ours. My maternal ancestors were fortune tellers, I don't know how accurate they were but there was a time when your great-grandmother's mother predicted a very unusual future of our family. One day she found a brooch lying on the table next to her bed. It wasn’t hers neither anyone in the family had seen it before. But she knew one thing for sure, the brooch was not an ordinary accessory. She used her fortune-seeing skills and predicted that the brooch was magical with unknown power and its power would only work when its true heir would come in contact with it. After that, there was no one in the family who could bring out its true powers. Your grandmother hid the brooch in our ancestral villa. Leia, I want you to find it. I don't know why but ever since you were born I had this weird feeling that you might be the right heir of the brooch. When I said this to your grandmother she asked me to wait till you get old enough as we don't know what kind of powers that brooch held. Honey, according to the future predicted by your grandmother I am sure by the time you find this letter....we are no more...But I know you are a strong kid, honey. Don’t give up. I am sure you’ll have a happy future ahead.” -Mom
Leia
*Tears rolled down her cheeks* Mom...mom...
Leia packed a few things in her bag and left to visit her ancestral villa. ‘Magic’ Is that even real? Who delivered the letter? Mom knew she was gonna die? A lot of questions stormed her mind. After a few hours of travelling, she reached the villa. It was huge but it was more like a haunted house. The house looked abandoned for years. There were no other houses besides the villa. She was scared. But she had to do it.
She opened the gate which made a loud screeching sound. She slowly walked towards the door.
Leia
The door is locked. Oh, there was a key in the envelope will that work? *takes out the key from her bag*
Leia
*click* It worked! *happy*
Leia
*enters* Oh, it’s so BIG and dusty. *cough* That's a lot of spiderwebs. But where am I ever gonna find the brooch in this huge house?
Episode 2
Leia, 22 years old, an introvert. Doesn’t like to socialize with people or have friends as they keep talking behind her back. Lost her parents when she was 8 years old and had no relatives. Recently got a job and is now fired.
Leia
Where am I supposed to find a brooch in this huge place?
Leia
I wonder why Mom or Dad never told me about Grandmother till now...what’s that!?
Suddenly, she saw a small ball of light shimmering in a corner. It started to move. Somehow she didn't feel scared looking at it. She quietly followed the light and ended up in a room. The shimmering thing started to circle around a lamp in the room. Leia examined the lamp. It was like a lever, she pulled it forward. As soon as the lamp moved there was a cracking sound in the wall.
A door appeared out of nowhere. Leia opened the door. The light entered the room before her and started circling around a box which was kept on the table. Leia reached out to the box and opened it.
As soon as she opened the light disappeared leaving the room with only moonlight as a source. Leia took out the brooch from the box and started to examine it. It had a unique design.
The brooch starts to glimmer.
Leia
Uh? *vision gets blurry*
Leia
This-*loses consciousness*
Leia
*slowly opens her eyes*
Leia
*sits up and grabs her head* Ugh...my head...*looks around*
Leia
*confused* Where the hell am I?
She looks around only to find trees surrounding her.
Leia
What is this place? *picks up the brooch which was lying next to her* This brooch...
someone: Did you find him?
Another person: No, It's too dark.
Someone: we can’t let him run away!
The steps of these men were getting closer and closer to Leia. Leia tried to get back on her feet and run but she had no strength left and fell back on the ground. A man walked towards Leia. He had his face half-covered with a black cloth.
Enemy 1
Hey, there is a girl over here!
Stranger 2
What? *walks towards him*
Enemy 1
*points knife* Who are you?
Leia
*terrified* I-I... (Who are these people? I am scared...)
Stranger 2
Is she one of HIS people?
Enemy 1
It's possible. You! Are you one of the people who tried to spy on us!?
Leia
Spy? What, no I am not! I don't even know how I got here!
Stranger 2
What should we do?
Just when he was about to stab Leia with the knife a man jumped from the tree and hit him in his face.
Man: Seriously, how can you harm someone who is not even involved?
Leia gazed at this man. He was tall and was wearing a black cloak.
Enemy 1
Hahaha! You are not getting away now and neither is this girl! *shuts his eye and starts chanting a spell*
Just as the man starts chanting the spell a magic circle appears on the ground around Leia and the cloak man. From the circle, thin threads emerged and tie up both of them. Even though the thread was thin it wasn't fragile.
Leia
What...what is this? *struggles*
Cloak man: Eh! Cheap tricks! *shuts his eyes and concentrates*
Just then the magic circle cracks and disappears along with the threads.
Enemy 1
Tch! Don’t just stand there! Get him!
Stranger 2
Ok! *puts his hand forward and flame lights up on his palm*
Cloak man: Hm...flame uh. Great. *flame lights up on his palm too*
Stranger 2
His element is flame too?
Cloak man: That's right! *clenches his palms and chants a spell*
The cloaked man starts shooting fire bullets from both hands. The strangers started to dodge as much as possible.
Enemy 1
Idiot! Use your elemental power too! *still dodging*
Stranger 2
How am supposed to dodge and attack at the same time? Ouch! That burns!
Enemy 1
Useless! *grabs his companion and runs* We’ll get you next time!
Leia and the cloaked man watched them run until their silhouettes disappeared deep in the woods.
Cloak man: whew! What a headache! I told Grey that this plan was useless! He never listens..*sigh*
Leia
*still trying to understand the situation*
Cloak man: Are you ok miss? *puts his hand forward and helps her stand up*
Leia
Y-yes...thank you...*dusts off hands*
Cloak man: I am sorry, they attacked because of me. Hope you are not hurt. *takes off the cloak’s hood*
When Leia got a good look at the man’s face she blushed. He was very handsome. Even though the forest was dark the moonlight made his face even more attractive his body was well-built.
Cloak man: Miss, what are you doing in the middle of the woods and at this time? It's nearly 12:00pm. It's dangerous here.
Leia
I-I just...well actually...(What am I supposed to say?)
Cloak man: *waiting for her to reply*
Leia
Just got lost...*voice lowers*
Cloak man: I see. It's a good thing you are not hurt. *smiles*
Cloak man: Oh shoot! I totally forgot! Sorry miss but I have to leave now. Just follow the road behind you and you’ll reach the town. Bye.
*swish* disappears in a blink of an eye.
Episode 3
Leia
Woah! What the hell is happening? Who are these people? *looks around* He said me to follow the path behind me...It’s better, rather than staying in the middle of the forest.
Leia starts walking down the path. The forest was filled with ominous sounds. After walking for a couple of minutes she finally made it to the town. The streets were pretty but there was no one around. It was past midnight after all. Leia slowly walked down the streets. She was very tired.
“Young girl, you shouldn't be out at this time it's dangerous.”
Leia turned to see an old woman probably in the ’60s.
Granny
Are you ok? You look tired.
Granny
Hm? I don't think I have seen you here before. Are you new to the town?
Leia
Yes, and I don't have any place to stay...so...
Granny
Poor kid. Why don't you come along with me? You can stay in my home. *smiles*
Granny
Yup, you look like a good girl. Come on now it's cold here. My house is not that far.
Leia
(She doesn't look like a bad person either guess I have no other choice) *follows granny*
Leia and Granny reached the house after a few minutes walk. The Granny took Leia in and gave her food and some warm drinks. It was the first time someone was this good to Leia which made her happy.
Granny
Here you go. *gives her clothes* Why don't get freshen up and later we can talk.
Granny
Hmmm, she is just not “new” here. This girl...
Leia
*sits in the bathtub* phew~ it feels good. *sigh* just what in the world is happening with me...*Starts to think* The brooch! Is it because of that? Mom did write in the letter that it was magical...
Leia
Does that mean that I am the right heir of the brooch? This place's not my world for sure. People use magic...I have to ask Granny about this place.
After taking her bath Leia dressed up in the clothes which was given to her. Hopefully, she had kept the brooch in her pocket when the fight broke out in the forest. Leia came dressed and saw Granny sitting on the couch waiting for her.
Granny
Oh my, you look so pretty in this dress.
Leia
Thanks, granny...*shy*
Granny
*smiles* So, why don't you tell me how did you land up here.
Leia
Eh? You knew that I am not from this world?
Granny
Haha, of course. Come on have a seat.
Leia explains everything.
Granny
Do you have that brooch with you now?
Leia
Yes. *takes the brooch out from her pocket*
Granny
Hm...(Just as I thought)
Leia
Granny, do you know anything about this brooch?
Granny
Oh no, my dear...I have never seen this before.
Granny
*smiles* I have prepared a room for you why don't you go get some sleep, the first room on the 1st floor. I’ll take you out to explore the town tomorrow and explain to you about this world.
Granny
