*why is he here?? did he remember me?*
Jeff
*this boy, really..* hello, welcome to Moonlight Cafe. Can I take your orders please?" *nudges Jake*
Jake
*back to earth* uh- yeah.. Sorry. *bows a little* what would you like, sir?"
Eric
"umm.. I will have one whiskey on rock and.. *looks at the guy besides him* he will have the same. Thanks
Both take the booth in the corner.
The other guy now looks at Jake.
Daniel
"Eric, why does that guy look familiar? Do we know him or either way?"
On the other end... Meanwhile..
Jake
Jeff, I will be back in a minute.
Jeff
"are you okay? What's wrong?" *worried*
Jake
"thanks, but I'm fine. Just. Will be back soon."
Jeff
"give me a shout, if anything. I am always there for you, hmm?"
Jake
"thanks." *goes at the back of the cafe*
a pair of eyes follows his every move
Daniel
*takes Eric's phone, eyes wide*
Daniel
"he... My.. We??" *shocked*
Eric
*nods* yes Dan. Your parents, they.. *hesitates*
Daniel
"after my accident, isn't it? I feel like shit. But i don't recall anything about him.. Its been 5 five years now. How did he...?" *feels bad*
Jake
*locks the door and sits down.*
Jake
"he is alive and well.. Good. But did he remember me? Is he back to get me?" *cries*
Daniel and Jake were in love.. But 5 years ago, when Daniel was on his way to propose Jake, he met with an accident and loses his memories.
Taking advantage of this, Daniel's parents threaten Jake to leave Daniel. Poor Jake is an orphan and works at a small cafe.
5 years ago, after this incident, Jake was totally drunk and was about to get hit by a car, but Jeff saves him and brings him home, gives him job at his own Cafe.
Jake
"I hope he is fine now.. I don't need anything else.. Even if I hurt, I can bear it. Seeing him doing well is all I need." *wipes tears and goes back to work*

Jake left work late and was going home.. He had to pass through an alley. He is about to pass the exit when he hears a car crash...

Jake runs to the car and knocks on the window continuously..

*dials 911* Hello, this is xyz alley.. Theres a car crash and I guess there are 2 or 3 people inside. But I can see 2 of them moving. Please hurry..
Paramedic: sure, sir. Please try to get some help. We are on our way..
Jake
Hello, can you hear me? * knocks the window again* hello
The door opens and out steps a boy very familiar..
Jake
*wide eyes* Hey, aren't you the one who came to the cafe last week??
Eric
*nods* *grunts* argghh! Yes I am. Now help me get Boss outside.
Jake
*Feels a pang in his heart. Shakes his head in denial*
Jake
No, no, no. It can't be. Danny.. Baby you have to stay alive.. Not again.. Please.
Jake
*Jake cries and tries to open the door, finally succeeds*
Eric
*surprised and in pain* he does love him still..
They both get the man on the passenger seat outside. The one on the back is already dead. Eric check his pulse and shake his head.
Jake
Danny, open your eyes love.. Please, not again. I can't lose you again. Please stay with me, please.
Daniel
*coughs* *spits blood* breathes shakily..
Jake
Danny, it's me Jake. Yes.. It's me. Please don't leave me again, please.. *cries*
siren sounds.. Police and ambulance come. The paramedics rush with a stretcher outside..
Police 1: who called just now to report?
Jake
uh sir, it was me. I was going back home from work when I heard the crash. So i came running immediately and saw two people moving. The one one back was already dead.
Jake
*feels his hand pulled*
Daniel
Stay... With... Me.... *coughs*
Jake
I can't hear you Danny, please don't talk. I will come with you to hospital. I will stay with you.
Eric
Thanks Jake. If not you, I had no idea what to do.. *gets in the ambulance and Jake follows him*
Daniel is taken in the emergency room. Jake stays away and sees the doctors and nurses hurriedly taking care of patient.
He stumbles, but manages to sit himself on the chair.
Doctor
Any guardian of that patient?? Please come forward..
Jake
Hello doctor. I am his friend. His family is out of country. You.. You can tell me if anything. *anxious🥺*

The patient... He's safe and out of danger.. But, since he hit his head, we will have to keep him in for next couple days..

Sure you can in a while. We will shift him to ICU.

We need a VIP room for him, please. He's.. His identity is very special and should be kept secret till he's in the hospital. My men will be here 24x7 outside his room and also at the gate.
Doctor
But.. This is hospital..

You think this was an accident? It was a pure cold-blooded attempt to kill him.. Please cooperate till his family comes in. Last call will be theirs
Eric
But as much as I know, you will immediately be fired with one word from his parents..
Jake
Doc, please.. If somebody tried to kill him, means they will try again. And if there's no one to protect him, then will you or your hospital take responsibility? *anxious*

*sighs* Alright. But the patient needs complete rest.. Call me if you need anything. My office is just around the corner.. My name is Jeremy Williams.
Eric

His brother? I didn't know he had a brother... *confused*

His father remarried another woman whom he had an affair with for long and they had a son. Daniel adores his step-brother and he is quite close with Daniel as well. Atleast they have a good relation. And he is his direct family unlike you and me, so..
Jake
Alright then.. I will go check on him. come back as soon as you are done. I can't really fight if someone really tries to attack him..
Eric
*pats Jake's shoulder* I promise I wont be long.
Jake goes inside and sits by Daniel's bed.
Jake
*takes Daniel's hand in his hand and holds it against his cheek..*

Don't leave me again. I thought I was over you. But seeing you again in the cafe, made me realise I wasn't.
Jake
I love you.. I love you so much.. Wake up soon.. I'm scared and anxious as hell. I felt my whole world collapsing again when I saw you in the car.
Just then the fingers of the hand Jake is holding, move a bit..

*coughs* *groans in pain*
