Tohru woke up around 3 in the morning. Today is a good day for her. A new series of her favorite manga "Red rose" is finally out so she got up early to make it there before anyone else.

When she arrived at the store, she was shocked to see a lot of people already there so she joined the line feeling disappointed

"How did they arrive before me?"she thought

She taps the girl in front of her "Um how did you guys get here so early? "

"Oh most of us slept outside the store" the girl said

4 VERY LONG HOURS LATER

Tohru walks out of the story with her head held high and the manga in her hands. She was crossing the street and admiring Vendric's (the lead male character) looks. There was a bus approaching, and we all know that this is the end for Tohru, but luckily the bus stopped just in time and Tohru left without a scratch but of course she didn't realize because she was too wrapped up in the manga.

She finally raised her head when she reached the sidewalk. Then she sees Noromi walk past

Noromi is a classmate that seats a row from her.

"I wonder why she's up so early "Tohru wondered.

Tohru watched as Noromi crossed the street then Tohru noticed a red tractor heading Noromi's way

"She's definitely going to get hit I guess I have no other choice than to be the hero "Tohru thought

She dashes towards Noromi with the intention of pushing her out of the way but when she came in close contact all she saw was a surge of bright light.

About 2 minutes later, the light dimmed and she saw herself sitting on a chair in a room covered in fog

"Where am I? "She muttered

"Isn't it obvious? " A voice said

"Huh?who's that? Show yourself" Tohru said

The fog clears and a beautiful woman is seen longing on a white couch.

"Who are you and where have you brought me?" Tohru asked the lady

"I'm Miku the goddess of reincarnation and you're in my realm"

"Does that mean that I died?!" Tohru asked

"Yup"

"Ok but is Noromi safe? "

"She was never in danger"

What?! That's a lie! I saved her from being run over by a truck! "

"Nope that wasn't a truck. It was a small tractor driven by her grandad who was going to pick her up. It was never going to run over her" Miku explained

"Oh, if that is so, how did I die? "

"Your body realized that it was actually a tractor you died of shock and sheer embarrassment .It was so bad that you even wet yourself! "Miku said holding a laugh.

"And get this"

"Don't worry I don't want to know anymore! " Tohru said but Miku still went on

"Noromi rushed you to the hospital and the doctors asked her what had happened. She explained everything to them so they couldn't save you because they couldn't stop laughing! "Miku said letting out a laugh

"Your death could be recorded as the most cringeiest death of all time! "Miku exclaimed

"I know" Tohru said, highly annoyed

"Now back to work. Since your intentions were pure I'll let you reincarnate into a world full of magic "Miku said cheerily

"and fix that ugly face of yours" Miku muttered

"hey!I heard that! "Tohru said offended

Miku snapped her fingers and Tohru disappeared.

Tohru appears sitting under a tree in the middle of nowhere and it seems that Miku kept to her word. Tohru has long pale blue hair and glittery blue eyes and her skin smooth and pale.

It was a nice transformation if you ask me, her looks weren't that good before.

"I guess I will have to start looking for a town" Tohru sighed.

She gets up and starts wandering around hoping to find a town nearby. Soon after, a carriage blocks her path. While she wonders why, a stout man gets off the carriage.

"You seem lost. " The man said

"Actually, I am " Tohru admitted

"Since I am heading to my town, I can take you with me " the man offered kindly

"Thanks " Tohru said as she entered the carriage.

It was an awkward trip but they arrived at their destination within 30 minutes.

They were standing in front of a vast building. It had a sign which read " Kurt's house of fashion " hanging over the door.

"Please do come in. This is my shop" the stout man said

"so you must be Kurt "

"Yes I am. Please come inside I want to discuss something with you " Kurt said

Tohru followed Kurt inside. They were welcomed warmly by a lady in a maid outfit.

"So miss I would love it if you give me that outfit you have on your body "Kurt said as Tohru was stunned

"I'll let you have any other clothes in my shop and I'll even pay you handsomely "Kurt informed her.

"I can't give him my clothes these are my favorite. " Tohru thought

"But I have no money!" Tohru realized

"OK I agree "

"splendid! "

"Sara get Miss the best outfit there is "

"Yes sir! " Sara saluted as she dragged Tohru into the changing room

15 MINUTES LATER

Tohru came out wearing a short blue dress

"You look wonderful! It brings out your eyes " Kurt exclaimed and Sara nodded

"Thanks" Tohru said, flattered

"No problem and here's your reward. " Kurt said giving her a small bag with gold, silver and bronze coins.

"Thanks. Do you know where I can find an inn?" Tohru asked

"Yes The silver moon inn they say it's the best. To get there you have to go straight and make a left turn "

"Thanks a lot. I guess I'll be on my way. " Tohru said as she waved Kurt and Sara goodbye and left the shop.

"What nice people " Tohru said to herself.

She opened the bag of coins and was very angry to see the little amount they gave her.

"I have been scammed! "She muttered.

"This might only last me 2 days " she said

*sigh* "I guess there's nothing I can do . They did give me the best clothes they had so I can't complain " Tohru thought.

She decided to head to the inn so she walked straight ahead till she reached a junction

"Which way did he say again. Was it right or left? "

She decided to take the right turn. She kept waking straight after that. She was approaching an alley then she heard voices of a man and a woman to be exact so she hid.

Tohru watched and realized that the man was harassing the girl who looked her age. The girl had long platinum blonde hair and looked very pretty.

"This looks like a scene straight out of a manga I've read before! That means that I'm meant to save her. "

"Hey you! Leave that girl alone! " Tohru shouted . The girl looked pleased that someone had finally come to her rescue.

The man turned and looked at Tohru with his eyes full of lust "another one perfect "

"I'm sorry to interrupt please continue with what you were doing " Tohru said backing away and the girl was deeply disappointed.

"not so fast! "The man said as he grabbed Tohru

Just when the girls thought they were done for the real hero appeared, he was quite stunning and he had the same hair color as the girl Tohru was intending to save.

"Hold it right there! " the guy said

"Huh" the man turned around and the girls were so relieved.

"Do you think a little boy like you would stop me?" the man asked but before he could say more, he froze and Tohru was shocked

The girl ran and hugged the guy who saved them

"You need to be more careful Lucy "The guy said

"Hello miss I'm Cedric and this is my twin, Lucy" The guy introduced

"I'm Tohru and thanks for saving me "

"It was no big deal any way "

"Um sorry for asking but please can you direct me to the silver moon inn? "

"Oh what a coincidence Lucy and I were heading there so you can follow us " Cedric said sweetly

"Thanks "

Cedric and Lucy with Tohru behind arrived at the silver moon inn. When they entered the inn, a dark haired lady in her late 30s rushed over to Cedric and Lucy and gave them a bear hug.

"Where did you guys go?! I was so worried. "The lady said

"We're back now. " Lucy said pushing away

" Gila look we've brought someone " Cedric said, pointing out Tohru.

"Oh it's nice to meet you. I'm Mrs. Gila "she said giving Tohru a friendly handshake.

"Yeah it's nice to meet you too. I'm Tohru and would you mind if I stay here? "

"No not at all. How long would you be staying? " Gila asked Tohru

"Dunno, I think a week or so " Tohru shrugged

"OK that'll be a bronze" Gila said

"Isn't that too cheap? I expected more" Tohru wondered.

"Ok" Tohru said checking though her money bag and handing the coin to Gila

"Thank you. Your room would be ready in the next 30-40 minutes" and with that, Gila left

 "Soooo, what kind of magic do you use?" Lucy asked excitedly as they sat at a table near the window.

"Uh, actually I can't recall" Tohru lied nervously

"Oh." Lucy said, chest fallen

"Since you can't remember, we can find out. Be back in a minute" said Cedric before dashing out.

A MINUTE LATER......

Cedric came back, holding a small bag. He sat down and emptied the contents of the bag. Beautiful crystals of different colors fell out.

"What are these for? " Tohru asked, curiously

"These are gemstones—"

"Used to know what magical power you possess" Lucy completed the sentence as Cedric glared.

"It's simple to use, just hold the stone, and it glows if you can use that kind of magic. " Lucy said

"There are six types of magic used today, and normally a person is only entitled to use two, four at most" Cedric explained

"The red gemstone is fire, the green one's nature. The blue represents water, brown's earth, light the white dark as you know is the black are rare but the rarest of them is the transparent which indicates null magic as it consists of all the lost magic. It is said that no one has acquired it in this generation" Cedric went on as Tohru was awed

"Tohru, I can use nature and water" Lucy proudly said

"Well I can use fire and earth, which I reckon is far better" Cedric practically bragged

"As if! "

"Um guys," Tohru called out and their attention was back on her again.

"Can I test it out? " Tohru asked

"Yes of course" Cedric said, Lucy death glares

The test began and to Lucy and Cedric's shock and amazement, Tohru had the ability to use all the types of magic, even null magic(which shone the most).

"Wow Tohru you're amazing! "

"How is this even possible? "

"Uhh"

"Say, Tohru are you going to Magidoka High? "Lucy asked

"Uh, what's that? Is it some kind of school?"

"Seriously Tohru, what rock have you been living under? " Lucy sighed

"What my sister is trying to say is, Magidoka High is one of the best schools in the capital" Cedric pointed out

"The entrance exams are in a week. Would you like to come with us? " Lucy asked excitedly

"Yeah Id love to" Tohru replied

"Miss Tohru your room is ready. you'll stay in room 209" Gila informed her

"EEEEEEE! It's next to my room! " Lucy squealed

"That's Great"

"Come on,Tohru let me show you around town" Lucy suggested

"Ok.that sounds fun"

"It's gonna be our girls night out" Lucy said obviously excited

"You mean girls night out" Tohru corrected her.

The girls left the inn leaving Cedric alone

"Where are we going first? " Tohru asked Lucy

"There's this new eatery that opened up last week and I've been dying to go there but Mr. bossy pants Cedric wont allow. mph"

"You two seem to fight a lot"

"Yeah we do but I know he's just trying to look out for me after all we only have each other" Lucy said smiling weakly

"but sometimes I just can't take it! "

"Oh were here" Lucy said.

The eatery didn't look like much, it was not as big as either of them expected but they decided to give it a chance

A waiter showed them to their tables and handed a menu over to them

"The dishes here are very similar to my world's" Tohru thought, scanning the menu

"I'll have this one" Tohru said pointing at a picture of pasta.

"I'll have the other one " Lucy said, directing the waiter to a picture of rice and curry

"Ok.your order will be ready in the next ten minutes" The waiter informed them before he left.

Ten minutes later...

The girls were served and were even given jello for free just because they chose to eat in moonflower. For Tohru,it was the best meal she has had in years acknowledging the fact that she lives off a small box of pizza and canned spinach,and occasionally a bowl of rice. Even Lucy said the food was great and even asked for seconds.

"I'm stuffed "Lucy said rubbing her slightly protruding belly as they made their way out of the eatery

"Where to next?"Tohru asked

"Dunno, maybe we should just go with the flow "Lucy shrugged

"Yeah let's"

She and Tohru roamed around town hoping for something eye-catching to appear

Lucy spotted a mysterious stall and thought it would be fun to check it out, so she dragged Tohru to check it out with her.

They reached the mysterious stall and a lady even more mysterious than the stall greeted them in a mysty voice .

"Good day girls, would you like me to show you your status?" The lady asked, with a mysty voice.

"Yes please"Lucy piped up

"Ok, place your hands on the crystal ball"The lady instructed and Lucy instantly obeyed

In seconds, the crystal ball began to glow and the lady told Lucy to take off her hands from it. A hologram floated above the glowing crystal ball, it had some writings on it.

IQ level: Fairly low

Blessings: Level 10 from the nature god, level 8 from the water god

"Tohru you're next" Lucy said and Tohru stepped forward and did just as Lucy had done.

The crystal ball shone brightly and her stats came up

Blessings: Level 10 blessings from all the gods

Her stats came as a big shock to the lady

"How's this even possible?!" The Lady thought

"Crap , I forgot " Tohru muttered, noticing the look on the lady's face

"Thanks, we'll be going now" Tohru dragged Lucy and they left.She looked up at the sun set

"It's getting dark, let's head back or Cedric might worry"Tohru said, still looking at the beautiful sunset

"Yeah, Cedric is very paranoial"Lucy agreed,and she locked her hand in Tohru's and they went back to the inn.

Tohru spent the next few days training with Lucy and Cedric for the entrance exam.

The day came, and they went all the way to the capital.

While somewhere along the path, A guy wearing a dark cloak is seen roaming about.

A kid who was apparently running bumped into him making the guy fall.

The kid helped the guy up and apologized before he ran off into an alley

"What a sucker! He did even notice I took his bag of coins"The kid said to himself gleefully as he removed the coin bag from the inner pocket of his ragged jacket.

He opened the bag and discovered that it was filled with useless things.

"What a waste of my acting"the kid thought angrily

"All this is making me hungry "He sighed and reached his hand in his jacket for his own coin bag, but to his horror, it was gone!

The guy from earlier took off the hood of his cloak. He had blue-black hair and sea blue eyes

He was looking down at the coin bag he stole from the kid with grin on his face

"Did he really think he could steal from the best thief in the kingdom"The guy thought to himself

Then Tohru who was paying no less attention than he was bumped into him

"Sorry sir"Tohru apologized as she helped him up

This is the second time"the guy muttered, rubbing his butt

"Sorry "Tohru apologized again before leaving to meet up with Lucy and Cedric

They got to the training area of the school where the practical exam was to be held.

It was crowded with excited people. They were all pumped to start the exams.

Then a man who introduced himself as Professor Lionheart informed everyone that he was the examiner and will oversee them during the exams.

"When I call your name, please step forward and demonstrate your magical ability on the dummy provided and I will grade you accordingly also when you're done enter the building and wait for the written exam" Lionheart informed them

"Lucia Mendez"

A tall red head came out and walked over to Lionheart.

"Well, show us what you can do"

Lucia stood in front of the dummy, she pointed her finger at it and muttered an incarnation

The ice sprouted out of the ground where the dummy was placed. The icicles dissolved to nothing and there were holes left on the dummy. Everyone applauded her.

Seconds later, the holes vanished, and the dummy was looking good as new, leaving everyone except Lionheart astonished.

"Oh forgot to say, the dummy can't retain damage for long, if you have weak magic, it won't get damaged at all"

"Lucy Cleoford"

"Good luck Luz"Tohru smiled

"Thanks I'll need it "

Lucy nervously walked over to the dummy, she said an incarnation and thorny vine sprouted out from the ground around the dummy and wrapped itself around it. The dummy was severely damaged and Lucy passed. Everyone applauded her as she went into the main building

"Is it just me or do you sense this weird presence?"Tohru whispered to Cedric

"I don't know what you are talking about "said Cedric

"Cedric Cleoford "

Cedric walked out with his chest held high feeling indeed confident

As expected, he crushed the obstacle, well literally with the help of his earth magic

A while later,

"Tohru Yashiro"

she went out and stood in front of the dummy letting out a sigh and closed her eyes

"What is going on?"

"Why is she just standing there?"

"I guess she knows she is weak"

Tohru opened her eyes and the dummy caught into blue flames destroying the said to be indestructible dummy leaving everyone dumbfounded.

She didn't get an applause from anyone, they just stared at her astonished.

"I hope I held back enough" she thought worriedly as she walked over to the building.

"I didn't hear anyone clapping, I hope sh—"but before Lucy could finish, Tohru walked in and Lucy ran to her and gave her a hug

"Oh Tohru I was worried, why didn't they clap? I thought you didn't make it"Lucy practically sobbed

"Calm down Lucy, you're making it sound as if she was in a life-threatening battle "Cedric said, beaming

A few hours later, the hall was packed, the practical exam was over.

"we will be having the written exam now."Lionheart announced

Everyone took their seats.

"The exam is simple and very straightforward, you just have to answer all the questions" Lionheart explained

"Ok, now you can begin"

Tohru looked down at the test paper and to her horror, she couldn't even understand a word on it.

"There's no way I'm the only one who can't understand this"Tohru thought. She looked around the class, but everyone seemed calm and fixed on their papers.

"I guess I just have to wing it"Tohru sighed and went back to her paper

After an hour, Lionheart collected the papers.

"Your scores will be sent to you in the next few days"Lionheart informed them, and they left.

"We've had a long day, I reckon we get a reward"Lucy said, trying to convince Cedric

"Yeah, she's right"Tohru agreed

"please Cedric"Lucy begged

"Fine"Cedric let out a sigh

"Yay!"the girls squealed.

"Let's go to the arcade!" Lucy suggested

"" Tohru don't you agree?"

"There's an arcade in this world too?"Tohru thought

"Tohru?" Lucy said waving her hand in front of her face

"Sorry, I was lost in thought"Tohru apologized

"It's ok, I asked if you'd like to go to the arcade?" Lucy asked

"yeah that would be great"

"Now that's settled, we can go now. I know the way"Lucy said practically dragging Cedric and Tohru

Sometime later, they arrived at a small building with a sign saying 'arcade' hanging above it.

"it doesn't look like what I expected but I hope the inside isn't so disappointing"Tohru muttered

They went inside the arcade, though it was a little shabby it was still better than the outside

"At least the games don't look all that bad"Lucy said, enthusiastically

"One game and we're outta here"Cedric said

"ok ,fine.let's play the game!"Tohru insisted as she dragged Lucy to it.

"I've always loved this game"

"Lucy,wanna try first?"

"yeah I'm gonna get that stuffed penguin.its Soo damned cute"Lucy responded

" 'kay give it your all"said Tohru,

Lucy confidently walked up to it and held the controls.she lowered the claw to grab the penguin but missed.

"Hehe, that was a slip.I'm sure I'll get it this time"Lucy let out a little laugh.

One hour later...

Lucy still hadn't caught a single plushie.

"you sure I shouldn't help?"Tohru asked Lucy who was obviously pissed about her failures

"Na,I can do it.im sure I'll get it this time"Lucy replied

She gave it another shot.she lowered the claw to where the penguin was.

"Tohru!it grabbed it!"Lucy exclaimed

The plushie came out of the slot but to Lucy's dismay, it wasn't the penguin but it was the stuffed unicorn that laid beside the penguin.

"you can have it"Lucy handed the unicorn to Tohru

"I don't want it."Lucy said, knowing that Tohru would not want to accept it.

"we should head back home I'm exhausted"Lucy said sadly.all the enthusiasm she had before drained from her.

so Lucy sulked in front while Cedric and Tohru walked behind, enduring the awkward silence.

Tohru couldn't sleep,she was thrashing all night in her bed worrying if she had flunked the test, this had been worrying her all day but she sucked it up so she won't spoil the mood for Cedric or Lucy.

As expected she wouldn't wake up early.

The following morning,a girl who looked about ten, coffee brown hair like Gila's in the inn uniform

"wake up miss or you'll miss breakfast"the little girl said trying to wake Tohru up.

"huh.lemme sleep five more minutes"Tohru said sleepily.

"no I can't! you'll miss breakfast"the girl replied

"wait! I absolutely cannot miss breakfast!"Tohru exclaimed, the sleep seems to have left her as she sprung out of her bed.

"thank you er—"

"Lotte, my name's Lotte"the girl interjected

"ok, thank you Lotte you have saved my life and a deed like this needs to be rewarded!"Tohru said scanning her room while Lotte is left there "wondering what the hell is going on"

Tohru set her eyes on the stuffed unicorn from yesterday and gave it to Lotte her eyes glitz for a second and she came back to her senses

"no ma'am I simply can't accept this,I didn't do anything worthy of your gift"Lotte refused the unicorn sadly, though deep down she was craving it

"no ,I insist ,I have no use for it anyway and it'll be a shame burning it "Tohru let out a sigh

"ok,if you say it like that, I guess I have no other choice"Lotte said, accepting it happily

"now I'm going to have breakfast.I'm starving!"

Tohru rushed down stairs and sat on the counter to have breakfast

"Tohru, I wanna thank you"Gila said

"For what?I haven't done anything special"

"I want to thank you for befriending Cedric and Lucy"

"No no no, don't thank me I'm happy to have friends as well"

"Ever since their parents passed, they only had themselves,I was always worried about them"Gila went on as though she hadn't heard what Tohru said

"I'll make sure that I'll find something good enough for you"

"No that's not ne—"

Tohru was cut off by a ringing sound .she looked around for where the sound might have come from but then a halaugraphic board appeared in front of her

"it looks like your result has been sent"

"wow, that was fast"

"open the message then"

Tohru nervously clicks on the message box

The message read:

"You have been accepted. Scoring third overall

Your uniform will be sent to you later today"

"whaat?!third?!"Tohru squealed, both shocked and happy.

"Tohru! Tohru!" Lucy called out as she ran down the stairs with Cedric behind her

"You got your message right? What you get?" Lucy demanded

"uh I got 3rd place"Tohru answer

"Oh, I shoulda known.I came 21st"Lucy said

"that's awesome! Whatchu get Cedric?"Tohru asked

"I came in 19th position "Cedric replied smugly

"Yeah, yeah no need to rub it in"Lucy visibly rolled her eyes

"I'm soo proud of you guys!" Gila said as she rushed from the counter and gave them a bear hug

"Thanks"Tohru said enjoying the bear hug. She couldn't even remember when last she was shown this much affection

"Gila I can't breathe"

"oh sorry I couldn't control myself"Gila apologized, letting them go

"This calls for a celebration!" Gila exclaimed

Many hours later...

The inn was packed with people. They had all come to celebrate Tohru, Lucy and Cedric's success.

The party didn't end, it went on all night so Tohru decided to retire to her room feeling drowsy.

The next day, Gila woke Tohru up herself.

"Tohru, wake up!" Gila shouted as she shook Tohru

"Yeah, I'm up"Tohru replied drowsily as she scratched her sleepy eyes

"You have to get ready, quickly. I have something important to show you"Gila said hastily

"Ok, I'll be fast since it seems so urgent"Tohru said, standing up

About fifty minutes later, Gila left the house with Tohru.

They arrived in front of a peach-colored building

"As a gift I found this house for you to live in"

"But i di--"Tohru started but was cut off by Gila

"no worries no one lives here.it has been abandoned for quite a long time now"Gila said totally ignoring what Tohru said

"She really looks like she won't take no for an answer and besides I need a house too"Tohru thought

"Fine if you insist"Tohru gave in with a sigh

"Perfect! The place has been cleaned already so would you like to go back to the inn and get your things"Gila suggested

"Yeah, I'ld like to go back"Tohru replied and they both went back

In the silver moon inn,

"Gosh!where the hell have you been?" Lucy asked eyeing the two curiously

"I went out with Gila"

"oh, to where"

"Um, Lucy I'm gonna leave the inn. Gila found me a new house"Tohru told her happily

"What?!you're leaving so soon ?"Lucy asked,devastated

"Yeah,but you can come see me anytime you want"Tohru replied

"Plus i need this, my time here is over,the payment i made has expired"Tohru pointed out

"Ok,but don't be shocked when i come, you said it yourself,I might come when you least expect it."Lucy laughed lightly as she said this

"Thank you for understanding.Ill go pack now"With that,Tohru ran to her room to pack the little things she had.

There was a knock on the door.

"come in"

Cedric entered the room.

"Uh Tohru what are you doing?"Cedric asked Tohru

"oh im packing"she answered

"Wait,what?!"Cedric's reaction was quite similar to Lucy's

"Oh, you didn't know.i thought Lucy would have told you"Tohru

"Ok ill come visit sometime"Cedric said

"Really you are not going to argue?"Tohru asked him

"I'm not Lucy who doesn't respect peoples decisions, you know"Cedric let out a sigh

"Ok, see you soon"

Tohru had got up from the bed holding a bag with her things in it and left

She walked to the house.

"Ah, Home Sweet Home"said Tohru, inhaling the air

"Wow! I don't have to clean after all"Tohru thought happily after she inspected the place

"Wait… How's it clean after so many years?"

"Maybe it was Gila who cleaned the place.she really is the best"

Tohru arranged her things in the bedroom. Then her stomach let out a loud growl. She fell on the floor holding her stomach tightly

"I haven't eaten since breakfast, and it's almost dinner time"Tohru muttered.

She got up and went to the kitchen. She opened the fridge expecting it to be empty but was shocked to see, some meat and veggies in the fridge.it was weird because it was still good but Tohru was obviously too hungry to care, so she made her dinner

"Ah alas I'm not hungry anymore"Tohru said letting out a small burp and slumped on the couch
