Dispelled

Chapter 1: A Witches Promise

I clutched my stuffed plushie of what my grandmother swears is a griffin, squirming against the hold of Haliey's hand. Meeting Haileys very unhappy gaze, I smiled sheepishly. "Tell me it one more time" Hailey commanded, tightening her grip on my wrist. Releasing a sigh, I swiped my hand in a U shaped motion. Hailey released a small giggle as her straw dolls suddenly began to levitate in front of her, a purple glow illuminating them in the sky.  "Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful princess.." I began, moving my right hand slightly, suddenly the straw doll with a dress and long golden straw hair came to life. It spun in the air causing Hailey to be enthralled by it, a fascinated smile gracing her lips. I smiled at her fascination before continuing. "...Now this princess isn't interested in her royal duties. For her passions lie with the stars.." moving my right hand again, clusters of beautiful shining orbs appeared across the room. Hailey gasped at the star mirage I had put on display as I proceeded. "...Hoping that one day she too could be with them. But alas the princess knew she could not make it to the stars without one big jump. So she stood at the tip of her balcony, and she jumped..." with another wave of my hand the princess leapt into the air twirling with great velocity, which left Hailey in suspense. But to Haileys disappointment the princess came twirling back down to the ground, making a respectable landing. "...'I was so close' the princess would say, as she tried to think of a way to make herself fly higher into the sky. Suddenly the princess came up with an idea, she collected all of her belongings from her room. Stacking them neatly into a staircase, before she climbed to the very top jumping once more..." waving my hand once more the princess stacked up some toy blocks into a neat staircase before climbing to the very top and leaping into the sky. We both watched in anticipation as the doll went twirling once again into the atmosphere. Hailey clutched onto my arm in anticipation, her breath hitching as the doll came inching closer to the stars.

The princess came so close before the sound of the bedroom door clicking caught my attention. Hailey groaned as the door creaked open, the princess stopping mid-air. "Girls. It's much too late for storytime. Wouldn't you agree Clarissa?" I smiled at my fathers acknowledgement of me. Hailey groaned in protest, scrambling from my canopy bed and over to fathers side. "But Daddy! We just got to the good part!" Hailey yelped, grabbing hold of fathers peacoat and tugging it gently. Father looked in my direction, giving me the 'i'll take it from here' look. Giggling, I gave father control over the straw doll. Watching the story unfold. "...Suddenly the princess got too far into space, and died from lack of oxygen. She should have listened to her father when he said time for bed. Story over" Father finished, his arm thrusting downward, the doll going limp in response and falling down to the floor. Hailiey's eyes widened, her mouth agape as father met her gaze. Suddenly he regretted his decision as Hailey began Tearing up before eventually she began crying.

He released a groan as he picked up Hailey, cuddling her close. "5 year olds am I right?" Father spoke as he stroked Hailey's hair, trying to calm her down. I responded with an awkward smile and a shrug, "Sorry dad, she said she wouldn't sleep until I told her the story one more time" I spoke, father gave me an apologetic look as he rocked Hailey gently. "She's just trying to keep you awake so you won't have any energy to leave for highschool tomorrow. Speaking of which, 'Sia you should get a good night's rest" Father smiled, hearing Haileys slight snoring indicating she was now asleep. Sighing deeply I gripped my griffin plushie. "I know... im just... nervous" speaking softly trying to avoid waking Hailey I slumped into my bed. Father sighed, approaching me with soft footsteps. "I have no doubt in my mind that you will soon be a wonderful witch 'Sia, just like Grandma, just like me, and just like your mother"  He spoke as he placed a reassuring hand upon my shoulder. Inhaling deeply, I gave him a smile preventing my true nerves from surfacing.

Despite fathers attempts at comfort, deep down I knew how bad of a magician I am. From a young age I have always progressed slower than my peers. While kids in my coven at the age of 6 were already able to handle the concept of simple levitation spells, I had barely comprehended plant magic. One of the first spells they teach 3 year olds. Now at the age of 16 I had barely come to learn simple manipulation and light spells. Father may have gotten me into this school through his status as coven leader, but I had no doubt in my mind he was scared for me to lose it all due to my lack of power. I was scared to lose it all. But, it was still worth a try. I want to come home as someone my coven can be proud of. Someone my Family can be proud of. So I was willing to give it everything that I have, for I am Clarissa Barnes. Daughter of Garret and Olivia Barnes, and soon to be coven leader of the Night coven. My life depends on my progress. It's my witch's promise.

Father removed his hand from my shoulder, removing me from my thoughts. A small smile graced his lips as he leaned over, gently he placed a small kiss upon my forehead. Smiling in response I watched as he adjusted Hailey on his shoulder. "Goodnight Clarissa, everything is going to be alright" he whispered, walking to the entrance of my room. "Goodnight dad..." responding, as I cuddled deeper into my blankets. Sleep encapsulates me. "Wake Up!!" my body jerked awake at Haileys screech. Turning to face her I replied with a groan, receiving a small giggle from her. "What time is it Hailey?" I questioned, kicking my feet from the bed and walking past Hailey over to my bureau. I examined my groggy appearance as Hailey chimed "I don't know, but dad said the opening ceremony is in 30 minutes-" I gasped, dramatically turning to face my sister. "Hailey! I have to get ready! Get out!" I screeched  running over to Hailey. She giggled, planting her feet into the ground to try and prevent me from moving her. Groaning in frustration I lifted her up, hoisting her over my shoulder receiving a squirm and a kick to my stomach as a response. Hailey growled at me and protested, while I placed her down in the hallway and closed my door. I had no time to waste, dad was right. I shouldn't have indulged in Hailey.

Whilst walking from my room my reflection caught my eye. I smiled as I approached the loving girl in the mirror. Dad always said I was a carbon copy of mother, but I always thought he was being sarcastic. Now face to face with myself, All I could see was her. From my dark sleek locks, to the freckles that are lightly dusted across the bridge of my nose and along my cheeks. Smiling, two small dimples appeared. They were genes from my father and one of the many traits I got from him.The most compelling trait of them all however, were the striking forest green orbs that some would call my eyes. All of these traits were amplified by the Nuro High uniform. I glanced at myself with a frown as my gaze traveled down to my uniform. Due to the pale color of my skin, the dark blue of the uniform was making all sorts of shadows. I looked as if I were sick. I was about the furthest thing from perfection, but I was happy with myself nonetheless. Smiling at my reflection one last time, I grabbed my suitcase from beside my bureau, and walked over to the entrance of my room. I turned to give my room one final look. I had grown up in this room, and as hesitant as I am to accept it a new chapter of my life was beginning. Just not in this room.

With a sigh I tugged my suitcase down the hall and up to my father who was waiting in the living room for me. He stood upon my arrival, Hailey clutching onto him from beneath his coat. "Is that everything?" He questioned as he approached, taking my suitcase he gave me a small smile. "Yeah that's everything..." I responded, a grim expression making its way to my face. I was anxious to say the least, and I wasn't good at hiding my emotions. Catching me by surprise, Hailey pulled me into a tight embrace. Smiling at her I leaned down so I was eye level with her and hugged her back. This was one of the many things that I was nervous about losing. Leaving my family was the greatest heart wrench of all, and I'm never good at goodbyes. "Alright 'Sia, your stuff is in the car." fathers voice broke the silent goodbye bringing me back to the now. Stepping back I realized that Hailey had begun to cry. With a sigh I reached down and wiped her tears with the sleeve of my uniform. "Don't worry Hailey, I'll be back soon enough" I reassured her, but to no avail she continued to cry. I glanced at my father who was patiently waiting by the front door, then back to Hailey. I ran my hand through her Light brown curls, pushing her hair out of her face. "Listen Hay', we are sisters. No matter the distance, we will always be together" Hailey looked up at me, her light blue eyes glossy from the tears and her cheeks a reddish tint. "No matter what?" she asked through gasps of air. "No matter what" I replied, sealing my statement with a kiss upon her forehead. Father cleared his throat, indicating his impatience. I stood feeling like I was about to cry too, but I held it in and joined him by the door.

Once In the car I gripped onto my seatbelt nervously. I've only seen Nuro High in pictures along our family's memory wall. Only heard of it from my father. From his description Nuro High is a wonderful opportunity for me to get out of my comfort zone. But I'm sure he's just hoping their high class teachings will finally be enough to enhance my magic. I watched my surroundings, the trees a lovely green blur. Only when focusing on one could you truly stop the blurry mess. I was going to miss my hometown, the lavish floral, the green spruce forests my dad would take me and Hailey out into for our morning patrols, I was going to miss it all. Father reached over for the car stereo turning the nozzle, as the speakers blasted a rendition of "Put Your Records On". Immediately I was brought out of my head. Smiling, I began humming to the beat of the song. It was very fitting considering my circumstances. This was going to be the longest car ride of my life.

I have no idea how long I had been asleep for, But my legs ached with pins and needles upon my wake. I turned and looked to my father only to find he had already left the car. Stretching, I messaged the pins and needles from my legs before exiting the car as well. A gasp left my lips as I came face to face with it. There stood what seemed to be 1,000s of acres of castle like architecture. Its marble walls glistened in the sunlight. Everywhere I looked there seemed to be something competing for beauty. Look to my right there would be hedges shaped like mythical creatures and to my left, a fountain the size of a pool with what seemed to be a chiseled statue of a man guarding it. This was just the beginning. The beginning of my theoretical story.

Chapter 2: Strange Feelings

Suddenly a hand jerked me back to reality. I turned to face the suspect only to see it was father. "You ready?" he questioned, handing me my suitcase with all of my stuff piled atop it. Smiling, I took control over my belongings. "As ready as i'll ever be" I responded, although deep down I was still a nervous wreck. "Let's go then" he spoke, as we began down the stone path leading up to the entrance of the school. Whilst walking I noticed the vast variety of students. Magicians of all different sizes, styles, and magic. My eyes bulged in wonder as I noticed a group of boys playing what seemed to be football. This version however seems very different, more magical. Two of the boys would use an extreme version of plant magic to block the other three from making it across the yard. While another would use levitation magic to go soaring over their defenses. I giggled as a root shot up, knocking out the levitating person. Suddenly a message bird soaring overhead caught my attention. It was a beautiful lavender color. I watched in amazement as it landed beside a group of students having a picnic below a wisteria tree. Floating tea pots and tea cups surrounded the group. I watched the group attentively, smiling at how relaxed they looked. My focus shifted to the entrance of the school as we had arrived. Taking a deep breath I turned to face my father. Before I could speak he had me in an embrace. Caught by surprise I stiffened, eventually giving in and hugging him back. "Promise me this one thing 'Sia" I looked up at my father, holding back my tears as I noticed his somber expression.

"Yes..." I responded. "Promise me you'll try your hardest" He spoke with slight hesitation. My words were suddenly caught in my throat as realization hit in, I would be away from my family for the next 4 years of my life. A tear rolled down my cheek as I nodded, father wiped the tear from my face with his thumb as he proceeded to lean down and kiss my forehead. "Write letters to me and Hailey when you get the chance. And please 'Sia, be safe" he spoke, causing me to giggle. "I will" with one more hug, He began walking back to the car. Taking a deep breath I wiped the stowaway tears with my sleeve. Now it was time for the biggest challenge, The first day of my freshman year. I turned to face the separated glass doors to the school. I gripped onto my suitcase as I took my first step towards my new destiny.

My eyes widened as my mouth lay agape. Words couldn't even describe how beautiful this school was. From the sleek tile that lined the floor, to the lockers that lined almost every wall. It all looked as if it were from an enchanting movie. Students filled almost every inch of its beautiful interior. Just like outside students from all different types of race, ethnicity, styles, gender, and magic collected at what seemed to be a neat line of tables. Each having a corresponding sign, these signs were decorated with a different type of magic label, with classes ranging from A-Z in alphabetical order. The grip on my suitcase tightened, the magic being used was like nothing I'd ever seen before. So many talented students, my insecurities suddenly being amplified. My breathing suddenly became heavy, anxiety completely overtaking me. What if I wasn't good enough for this school? What if I just came here only for nothing to change?

Gripping my suitcase tighter to steady myself from falling over, I took another deep breath. "If you keep squeezing your suitcase like that you might break it" A voice sounded from behind me, causing me to jump. "Woah! Calm down, I'm just here to welcome you" releasing a nervous laugh I faced the person. There stood a girl, her long red curls working well with her ocean blue eyes. She was absolutely gorgeous. But there was something unsettling about her appearance. Maybe it was the heavy red lipstick, or the torn stockings, and that's without considering the spiked platforms she wore. She looked intimidating. "S-sorry, i'm just a bit nervous since i'm new here" I responded, moving my bag out of her way. "I could tell" she spoke with a light giggle. She thrusted her hand my way causing me to flinch. Giving me an unamused look she reached over and grabbed my hand, shaking it before saying "I'm Haden, my friends call me Hades and you are?" I flinched suddenly realizing she was introducing herself. "Im Clarissa, It's nice to meet you" responding with a small smile. Haden smiled in return as she reached down and grabbed my suitcase, "I'm assuming since you looked so lost earlier, you haven't checked in yet" she spoke as she began dragging my luggage down the hallway. "No i have not" responding I caught up to her as she proceeded to lead me.

"So here you have the east wing" Haden then pointed down another part of the campus. "If you're into potions and brews you'll most likely find yourself walking down that side of campus a lot" As we continued she gave descriptions for every hall, classroom, and building we passed. Mentally I was taking notes, and by the time we had finally reached the end of my tour I had already memorized every campus and what they specialized in. We stopped in front of two dark wooden doors as Haden turned to face me. She handed me my luggage and gave me a small smile "here's the Auditorium, I hope we see each other again sometime. It was really nice talking with you Clarissa". "Wait, what's your magic preference-" before I could finish she suddenly exploded into glitter. Standing in shock a smile crept onto my face, teleportation magic was the answer to my unanswered question. I then turned to the bigger issue ahead, freshman orientation. I placed a hand on the door, taking a moment to mentally prepare. Coming to terms with myself I pushed the door open and entered the auditorium. As far as first impressions go, this Auditorium was massive which was appropriate since it was built to hold the whole school within it. Most if not all of the seats were filled with magicians and at the very front just below the stage was a row of tables. I found an empty seat, watching the pedestal that sat at the tip of the stage in anticipation. Suddenly as if triggered by my arrival, the lights were dimmed leaving only the stage illuminated. I watched as a tall aged man dressed in a suit and tie with the school's logo approached the pedestal. Suddenly a microphone appeared out of thin air in front of him, the man cleared his throat before he began. "Good Morning freshman class of Nuro Highschool of Magic and Wonder. I am your Headmaster Adolfo Rossign, And I am proud to be the first face to teach you the ways of a Nuro student." Listening carefully to his speech on rules and guidelines wasn't the most entertaining thing. So I found myself searching the crowd. So many different types of people, it was truly amazing.

From a group of people in leather jackets, to a group of people decked out in glitter. The sound of gasping filled the auditorium as my attention was drawn back to the stage. My eyes widened as the stage was surrounded by a bunch of twinkling orbs resembling stars. Suddenly the stars began swirling, a small whirlwind formed upon the stage, it was mesmerizing. Slowly the stars dissipated revealing a figure within. There he was, The most handsome guy I have ever laid my eyes upon. He was tall, and despite his school uniform you could clearly see his muscles, he had the build of a greek god. He had a sharp jawline complimented by plump lips and two dazzling blue eyes. I swear his freckles looked like stars in the night sky. His hair a light blonde shimmering under the stage lights. He flashed a small smile showing his pearly white teeth as the crowd went crazy. My pulse quickened as I found myself unable to remove my gaze from him. "Now Now, settle down" the headmasters voice echoed throughout the auditorium silencing most of the excited students.  He cleared his throat as another attempt at silencing the students, and with that attempt officially silencing the students he continued. "This here is my second eldest son Weslie Rossign, he is here to give a speech based on his experience he has had here at Nuro High" The headmaster then stepped away from the pedestal allowing his son to take way.

"As my father has previously stated before, My name is Weslie Rossign..." I couldn't even focus on what he was saying, my mind only jumping to what I was currently feeling. My heart throbbed as if being pulled, and my stomach filled with butterflies. I have never felt this strongly for another person. Of course I've had crushes, but they have never been this intense. He was absolutely stunning, and I'm sure most people within this auditorium could agree. Being as focussed on Weslie that I was, I never saw what came next. A cold wet chill ran down my back causing me to release a squeal which was loud enough to catch the attention of everyone within the vicinity of me. I stood soaked in what smelled like grape soda. "My bad" a masculine voice sounded behind me, turning I came face to face with my perpetrator. There He stood except instead of immediate infatuation I felt anger.

He was taller than Weslie, and a bit more muscular than him. His uniform fringed and cut along his chest, the rips being held together by safety pins. He was wearing loose ripped jeans instead of the school's intended black suit pants. Looking further up, His jet black hair in loose curls collecting right above his eyebrows. I met his eyes and was immediately caught off guard. They were red voids, beautiful yet dangerous. I felt as if I were to hold eye contact. I would get sucked in and never return. To avoid the vortex of his eyes I found myself examining the rest of his facial features. Similar to Weslie he had a sharp jaw. My eyes caught his lips as I stared, mesmerized. He had snake bite piercings on his bottom lip, they looked like crescent moons in the contrasted lighting of the stage lights. He was handsome. "Can you please stop ******* me with your eyes?" I was caught off guard, my face contorting into pure disgust at what had just come out of his mouth. His lips curled into a small smirk as he continued through the aisle of chairs. It took his disappearance from my line of sight for me to realize I had not confronted him about the liquid he had spilled all over me. I couldn't even believe I had considered him handsome, his personality completely ruins his good looks. I hope I never see his stupid face again.

After what seemed like forever of sitting in my wet school uniform, and listening to Weslies life story, the auditorium became illuminated again. Grabbing my luggage I followed the line of students down to the front of the auditorium where we collected our list of classes and keys to our dorms. Standing in the hallway outside of the auditorium I looked careful at my dorm key. The key was a copper color with a star shape at its base with a tag that read room 140. From the tour Haden gave me earlier I memorized that there were four dorms in total. 2 for girls and 2 for boys, each with an individual name. Starshine dormitory, Elderpine Dormitory, Dragonember Dormitory, and finally Crsytalwaters Dormitory. Due to the star shape of my key I took a wild guess and assumed I belonged to the starshine dormitory.

Standing before it I smiled, Its architecture similar to the school itself. Upon entry one thing became clear, this was definitely the Starshine dorm. Its interior was covered in space themed decorations. I began the hunt for my dorm room, asking around when I became unsure until eventually I was brought face to face with the door numbered 140. I smiled as I entered my new living space. It was a big room, with 3 canopy beds on each wall. Upon looking to my right the bedroom was decorated with vinyl and lava lamps, the bedding being pink and orange ombre as well as a pretty abstract looking dresser covered in stickers. Looking over to my left the bedroom was decorated in dark colors, red and black being the main 2. Clothes and shoes were thrown all over the floor on that side of the room. Chains with photos attached to them lined the wall next to the bed. Now seeing the bed further its deep red velvet covers were very fitting with its aesthetic. I turned and faced the final side of the room, it was empty without any decorations. Smiling, I walked over to the unclaimed piece of bedroom. I set my belongings next to the dresser before throwing myself onto the bed. I loved it here.

Chapter 3: Party Indications

The total silent bliss wasn't eternal, for the sound of the dorm door clicking caught my attention. Scrambling to sit up from my awkward lying position, I faced the door in anticipation. The door creaked open revealing to my surprise a familiar face. "Clarissa?" Haden chimed in an excited tone. I waved at her as she walked up to the side of the bedroom with dark colors. Turning my attention back to the girl who had been standing behind her. She was beautiful, her aesthetic going perfectly with her rendition of the school uniform. She wore a neon orange translucent suit jacket over the school's notorious dark blue button up. And a matching neon orange bandana holding her dreads back from getting into her face, although a few strands somehow managed to escape. As she turned to face me I could finally see the total of her face. She had deep golden eyes which really brought out the bronze color of her skin. I watched as she removed the headphones from her head and walked over to her side of the dorm to set them down on the abstract dresser I had noticed from before. Suddenly Haden joined me on my bed, sitting across from me. "This is such a funny coincidence!" She chirped, turning to face our other roommate. "And here I was telling Dannie about how I made a new friend" Hadens' smile faltered, her expression contorting into shock.

Giving her a confused look I stood and began unloading my luggage. "How impolite of me, here I am rambling on about you and Dannie and you two don't even know each other. Dannie, This is Clarissa, the friend I was telling you about before. Clarrissa, this is Dannie the greatest brewer in all of Nuro high" Dannie cleared her throat as she approached Haden. "Correction, not the greatest, just the most organized," Dannie added, giving me a small smile.  "Nice to meet you Dannie, I hope we have a lot of fun together" I spoke, picking up all of my clothes and shoving them in the dresser. Haden gave me a confused look, causing me to freeze. "Why aren't you using your magic to do all of this?" She questioned sliding off of my bed as she joined me by my luggage. Mentally I couldn't conjure up a good enough excuse. I couldn't tell her I hadn't quite mastered levitation magic, It would make me look bad. My muscles tensed as I tried to think of a good enough excuse. Dannie swiped her hand causing all of my belongings to suddenly fly into their designated spots within my piece of the dorm. I relaxed a little as I turned to Dannie.

"You don't have to question everyone's methods Haden" Dannie remarked, turning to me and giving me a wink immediately calming my nerves. "Thank you" I chirped as I looked at how neat and organized she had made my area look. Dannie wasn't kidding when she said she was the most organized. "No worries, I hope we can have a lot of fun together as well" Dannie Gave a small smile, me giving her one in return. Haden Released an excited squeal as she wiped imaginary tears from below her eyes, "I feel like a proud mother watching her children get along". Dannie released a frustrated groan as she stood, "I'm going to go pick up my Tux from Andrew for tonight's opening party, Please don't make a mess Haden" Dannie spoke, causing Haden to release a low agitated groan. "How dare you assume that mademoiselle Haden Berkley would do such a thing" Ignoring Hadens smart remark I focussed on what dannie had said.

Crawling back onto my now cluttered bed I faced the two. "Opening party?" I questioned, causing both girls to turn and look at me in surprise. "You don't know?" Haden questioned with shock. She once again joined me on my bed, grabbing my hands. "It's like the party that begins it all.  Every year the Wizards from Elderpine dorm throw a smashing opening party that includes all witches and wizards from Nuro high to come have fun and show off their magic" I tilted my head in curiosity as Hadens grin grew wider. "Oh! My! Gosh!" Suddenly my stomach churned as I had a feeling I knew where Haden was going with this. "I-I really shouldn't..." I began but was cut off as Haden gently pulled me from the comforts of my bed and over to her closet. "You should totally go, I mean you only get to be a freshman once. And it's literally the party to welcome you freshies." I could feel the sweat forming above my brow already. Releasing a nervous laugh I watched as Haden dug through her closet of black clothes. "No really Haden, I shouldn't-".

"Ahah!" I was cut off again as Haden reached back into her closet. A gasp left my mouth as Handen pulled out the most beautiful dress I had ever seen. Its red velvet with a slight shimmer reminds me of a love potion. As if I were to wear it, anyone would immediately fall in love, just as I did. At the hem of the skirt were long strands of diamonds, giving the aesthetic of a 1920 flapper. "Isn't it just to die for? You should wear this to the dance, no one would be able to take their eyes off of you" Haden handed me the dress, as I took it without complaint. It was gorgeous, the perfect mixture of promiscuous and mystery. but it totally contradicted my style. Taking a deep breath, I slowly handed the dress back to Haden. Haden gave me a confused look, "Do you not like it? I can find another one-". Placing a hand on her wrist to stop her from searching for more dresses, I bit my lip. "I Can't go, I would just make everything awkward" I spoke, looking down at my feet awkwardly. Haden released a sigh as she placed the dress back into the closet. Suddenly Haden pulled me into a tight embrace, causing me to stiffen. "Dont worry Clarissa, you won't make anything awkward. If you don't want to go, I won't force you. But just know you are a really beautiful and strong witch, I'm sure you would leave everyone in that party starstruck".

Nuzzling into her shoulder a smile made its way to my face. Haden was incredibly confident, maybe I could be too. Leaving Hadens embrace I gave her a small smile, receiving one in turn. "Alright i'll go" I spoke, receiving an excited squeal from Haden. "You wont regret it!" Haden chirped, grabbing the red dress once more. "But!" I began, causing Haden to freeze. "If i'm wearing that to the party, you're going to have to do my makeup too" Hadens smile widened as she tugged me over to a stool I hadn't even noticed was in this room, and began her preparations.

"Hey you guys, I'm back!" Dannie called out, setting her belongings on her dresser. Haden cleared her throat, catching Dannies attention causing her to turn and face Haden. "Now introducing the new Clarissa Barnes!" Haden exclaimed, moving her hand upwards causing the blanket she was using as a makeshift curtain to go flying across the room revealing me to the whole room. Dannies mouth gaped as Haden released an excited squeal. "You didn't..." Dannie said with an intrigued voice. "But I did!" Haden said as she joined Dannie on her side of the bedroom. "Hey Haden, I don't mean to cut your guys' conversation short, but may I please see what I look like?" I questioned gripping the hem of the dress. Haden tsked as she swiped her hand in the air once more, "So impatient" she teased as a mirror flew from a corner of the dorm to float in front of me.

Left at a loss for words, I looked at the stranger in the mirror. She was so beautiful, the heavy makeup making her deep green eyes seem even more vibrant. Her long black hair once straight, now curled collaborating with the bedazzled diamond necklace she wore across her neck. But the most beautiful thing of all, was the dress she wore. Its velvet material tightening around every curve she owned. Its top revealed just the right amount of cleavage. The skirt with all of its diamond tassels ending just enough to hide her upper thighs. She was a vixen I had never known or seen before, yet she was me. Whilst I continued to admire myself, Dannie and Haden proceeded to prepare for the party as well.

By the time they had both finished the sun had already set. "What do you think Clarissa?" Haden questioned, approaching me at my bed. Looking up from the book I had been reading to pass time, I gave Haden a smile. She was wearing a shein black dress, that like the one I had been wearing ended just at her upper thighs. It complimented her pale complexion, just as the heavy makeup she wore did. Around her neck was a black ribbon that I'm pretty sure was supposed to be used to hold her hair back, but she somehow made it work. Talking about her hair I gazed at it, it was pulled back into a high ponytail with only her bangs managing to hang free, being this way it revealed her ears which were decorated with safety pin earrings. "You look gorgeous Haden!" I replied, giving her a smile. Haden squealed at my compliment as she reached over for Dannie who I hadn't even realized was behind her, dragging her into my full line of sight.

Dannie was wearing a hot pink suit which had a complimenting orange tie. Her make up was a beautiful nude, which really made the golden color of her eyes standout. And without wearing her bandana from before I could finally see the full extent of her dreads. They were a beautiful black color at her root slowly fading into a light blonde. And on every different dread were gold rings. She looked mythical and mature, which was a very suiting look for her. Haden giggled as she clasped onto Dannies arm. "Isn't she just so beautiful!" Haden chirped, causing Dannies cheeks to grow a tint redder despite the blush she was already modeling. Smiling at the two I put my book down and crawled out of the comforts of my bed. "You look beautiful Dannie!" I responded, reaching down and grabbing my leather handbag.

"Alright my fashionable friends, are you guys ready to impress everyone at this party?" Haden questioned as she lifted both of her hands into the air. Dannie nodded, causing me to stiffen. It was now or never, but I was still super nervous. Inhaling deeply I turned to face Haden, "Do it!" I commanded. "Alrighty then!" with that Haden thrusted her hands outward causing a swarm of golden glitter to engulf us. It was hard to see through the swarm, but eventually me, Dannie, and Haden were no longer in the dorm room. We were standing outside of what I could only assume was Edlerpine dormitory.

Similar to Starshine dorm, it was like a mini Nuro high. But unlike Starshine dorm the exterior was covered in party decorations. Haden turned to me and extended her hand, in which I extended my own learning from the first time we met. She placed a small vial of what I could only assume was a potion into my hand. "If anything happens or you need our help, drink this" Haden spoke, before she turned to face Dannie. "You ready?" she then asked Dannie, receiving a small nod. I watched as both girls disappeared into the dorm I clenched onto the potion Haden had given me. I quickly placed it into my purse before turning back to the problem at hand.
