The usual annoying sound of the alarm woke me up of my deep slumber. *sighs* "Why I cannot sleep peacefully till noon even a day?" . I got up from my bed and went to bathroom to do my daily morning routines.

"Honey, hurry up, or you will late for school!" my mother shouted from downstairs. "Yes mama! Almost done!" I replied while fixing the tie of my uniform. I went down stairs with my hair tied up in a ponytail and in my usual uniform. I arrived at the kitchen and sat on the chair near the dining table. "Here, eat this quickly." my mother said while serving me some toast with omlette and some milk. "Thank you" I replied. "You seem to be tired. What happened? Didn't got enough sleep?" my father, who was sitting opposite to me asked while looking up from his newspaper. "Yeah" I answered nonchalantly. He simply chuckled a little at my current state and said "I know how it feels, study everyday, prepare for exams, do research and waking up early. Me and your mom, both have went through this phase. But don't worry, after you get a stable high-paying job, or if you start your own business, everything will be fine!" I just smiled and nodded, thinking deep inside that this was all lies. I mean come on! I know life will be more complex after I finish my studies! I don't even know what I want to do after completing graduation. Anyways, "Bye mama, bye papa " I said while getting up from my chair and hanging my bag on my shoulder. "Bye dear, be careful on your way " they replied. Then I took my bicycle and rode to my school.

Andrea Rogers, seventeen years old, a normal and quite introverted teenager is who I am. My mother Wu yin Rogers and my dad Daniel Rogers, both have only one daughter whom they cherish the most, which is me. In school, I have to constantly work hard to maintain my grades and be on the top students list. Rozana, Alice, Henry and Yuta are my only friends in the school whom I talk with. They all are pretty nice and talented. Yuta in arts, Rozana in dancing, Alice in figure skating and lastly, Henry in music. Overall, my life is preety well as well as very exhausting.

I arrived at the school and parked my bicycle at the parking area. I made my way inside the hallway. "Goodmorning Annie!!" someone chirped from the behind while covering my eyes "guess who?" they asked. I instantly knew who it was, but decided to tease her a little "Hmm, let me guess, Lisa?" I asked while trying to control my laughter. "Aw come on! Don't bully me like that while saying that name!" Rozana pouted while coming infront of me. "Haha sorry". "Anyways, how's life?" . "Just two words: life sucks". "Yeah, absolutely correct!". We laughed and made our way inside the classroom.

Annie is the nickname that my friends gave me when we first became friends. Arriving at the classroom, we noticed Henry, Yuta and Alice. As the teacher hadn't arrived yet, we saw them sitting on a desk and chatting, when they noticed us, they invited us. Then we began our usual day to day life chats and rants. Believe me, I am introverted, but whenever I am with any close people, I am am no longer a introvert. We chatted for a while before the teacher arrived and told us to get back to our respective seats.

Then, the class begin.

"The ancient Chinese civilization can be traced as an unbroken thread many thousands of years into the past, making it one of the cradles of civilization. At various times, states representative of a dominant Chinese culture have directly controlled areas stretching as far west as the Tian Shan, the Tarim Basin, and the Himalayas, as far north as the Sayan Mountains, and as far south as the delta of the Red River-"*TRRINGG!* the bell rang, stoping the teacher, indicating that the lecture is over and lunchbreak has started. "Alright students, that's all it for now, I hope you read this chapter thoroughly in your home. And, don't forget to do your own personal research about the ancient Chinese Civilizations, trust me, if you do your own research, you will understand it more better. You all may go now " as the class dismissed, we all made our way to the hallway.

Me and my friends went to the school playground, and sat at some suitable corners. "Jesus! The history class is so boring! I almost fell asleep." Henry said. "Hah! Almost? Bro, I was literally dozing off at the back, good thing that teacher didn't noticed me" Yuta replied. "Well, history really is a type of subject which makes us bored when we study in school, but it doesn't look boring when we read it from the internet" Alice chuckled.

"Vanessa, so, would you like to be my girlfriend?" I don't know how the hell we got here... this random dude Zack of our class was proposing the so called 'perfect girl ' Vanessa. According to the students of my class, these two were matched on a dating app, an app which matches you to your soulmate/twinflame by taking your finger print, date of birth, time, and others, I don't know much about this. "Oh Zack really? Ofcourse! " then these two kissed each other while the atmosphere was filled with howls and cheers. "Dang, I feel so single right now. I think I should also download this app, atleast I will know wether my soulmate or twinflame exist or not" Rozana sighed. "Oh come on Rozy! Don't be so lovesick. When the right time comes, you will eventually meet that person" I said to her. "Yeah that's why you are still single!" ouch! now that hurts. "Says who" I smirked. "I mean, we all here are singles " Henry laughed.

"Woah woah woah, what the heck am I seeing!" Alice exclaimed with a big smirk plastered on her face. "Haha, I knew it!!" Yuta jumped. "Oh my!" I said while getting astonished. After Rozana's suggestion, when the school got over we went to her house for a little hangout and also to check out the new dating app. We all tried, Yuta got a heart made from the outline of a thread, indicating that he has a soulmate, but they are quite far away from him. Alice also got the same. But it was shocking to us when we got that Henry and Rozana are matched and are soulmates. "What nonsense! T-this can't be true!" Rozana exclaimed while blushing. Henry on the other side, was quiet the whole time while secretly blushing. Well to be honest I knew that these two have a chemistry, but now it is confirmed. "So~ when are you guys going on a date?~" Alice teased Henry. "W-we s-still need some time to digest this " he stuttered. "Alright, take your time " Yuta smiled. "Now it's your turn, Andrea." I placed my hand on the thumb area in order to get my thumb print, after answering all the questions. Almost 3 minutes has passed still I got nothing. "Ouch! Looks like I am gonna die single " I tried to brush it away while laughing. "Aww don't worry Annie! So what if this app didn't able to find your soulmate? Who knows maybe he is in another world or dimension? I mean I know you are more obsessed with fictional men. So that's why, huh." Rozana tried to assure me. "Nah, it's alright,!"

As night came, after finishing my breakfast, I started reading one of my favorite novels. Soulmate from another dimension....I wish! Even though I won't be able to meet him, but atleast I would feel special, I mean who doesn't want a soulmate from other dimension, which matches your ideal type that is fictional men. I might sound immature, but still.... After that I fell asleep .

Unknown to her, a figure at the dark, from the outside of her window was observing her.

That night, was quite a mysterious one...

'Please... please come back, we need you.' On the bed, was the girl Andrea, sleeping in an uncomfortable position, while beads of sweat forming on her forehead. She was again having those unusual strange dreams.

On the dream, she was hearing the cries of people asking for help, asking for the return of a certain person. Everything was dark. The surrounding was so pitch black that she cannot even see herself.

She has been having these kinds of strange dreams every night after she entered her adloscent age.

Like every night, she would only hear the voices. Sometimes she was see a faint outline of a male with long hair in the dark, trying to reach her and tell her something. She would hear it in her dreams, but after waking up, she forgets each and every word spoken by the latter.

These strange dreams are the actual one of the reasons why she wakes up exhausted in the morning. Due to her introvertedness, she hadn't told anyone about these kinds of strange dreams, including her parents. She always thought that she would be troubling others with her nonsense dreams.

But this night, God decided to play with her a little more.

The girl opened her eyes, finding herself in a strange abyss. She was just standing.... in the mid-air while getting more than confused and frightened. Frightened for the fact that this felt so realistic as well as unrealistic at the same time. Everything was dark and silent, excluding the sound of her thumping heart against her chest, and her heavy breathing.

She felt awful. She wanted to end this 'dream', but she couldn't. As if someone was controlling her body, she could neither move nor speak. So afraid, that her eyes turned glossy, she wanted to cry, but she couldn't.

Out of the blue, she noticed a hooded mysterious figure standing in front of her, few metres away.

The figure slowly started to approach towards her. She has no idea what was going on. She felt helpless. The figure continued to come closer until he was few inches away from her face. She could clearly see that it was a man, a young man maybe in his early twenties. He has a smooth, pale, poreless skin, with a pointy nose and sharp jawline. He was quite a handsome one. But the situation the girl was in, she had no feeling of appreciating his beauty, for two reasons. One: She could only see half of his face, his eyes were hidden by the hood, Two: She wanted to get out of here.

He got uncomfortably close to her face, leaned towards her left ear and whispered "Finally...I have found you...My Queen. I will definitely take you when the time comes, for now, take this" with that, a bright yellow light emerged from his right hand, he pointed it towards her forehead.

The light left his palm and entered to her forehead, disappearing completely. She felt a strong burning sensation inside her head. Her nerves were throbbing and felt like they are about to explode. She wanted to cry and scream in agony, but she was unable to, as if she has lost control towards her body.

This scenario lasted for a minute, after that, the burning and the ache stopped completely, leaving her relaxed as well as dumbfounded. What was going on? She then felt like she was able to control her body again. When she tried to lift her arm a little bit, she suddenly found herself falling down. The abyss started to disappear slowly. The hooded man was now nowhere in sight.

She then fell on her bed, more like she perfectly landed on her bed, without making a sound, just like a cat. She doesn't know what was going on. This doesn't feel like a dream.

Then again, she found that imposter in front of her, giving her a smirk. He lifted his right arm and pointed his index finger on her forehead "Sleep, my dear" was the last thing she heard before falling into a deep slumber.

"I should definitely report this to her" with that being said, the figure disappeared.
