It was a beautiful morning, the room was empty. It was dirty and unorganized like someone had already been living there. the birds were chirping outside the window. All of a sudden there was a sound of footsteps. Not just one, but two people were walking towards the room. It appeared they were talking to each other but it wasn't intelligible.

The door of the room barged open. Two men walked in. They were both jacked and one was shorter than the other and was following behind. The taller one said " I didn't expect this from you, Mark. It is not big enough for our standards."

Mark replied "Jack, I'm sorry for not telling you earlier about the room. Man, times are tough for us. You and I don't have a job and are running out of money. We can't expect to live at the standards we used to live. We must make out of this until we get some cash from our cases.

Jack replied feeling a bit disheartened "Alright! I'm sorry I behaved like a brat. I shouldn't have shouted at you like that. At least the room is cosy and perfect for our job!"

After this conversation, they both started to tour around the little room which when Jack noticed, didn't feel entirely bad

The thought of cleaning the room came into both of their minds. They put on their wired headphones and while listening to 'Old Town Road" by Lil nas x and Billy Ray Cyrus, started to clean. They cleaned the couches and both the tables and mopped the floor. They even had to clean the glasses which were full of fingerprints.

After they had done that, they decided to set up the place for investigation. They installed a big noticeboard behind the dining table. the chairs were removed from the dining table against Jack's will as he didn't want to eat at the smaller table. Also, the chairs were quite out of the ordinary and Jack wanted to keep them.  They added an office chair in front of the noticeboard and installed a telephone on the table. It was black and an old type of telephone. The kind of landlines that people used quite back in the day. Jack felt quite nostalgic and remembered his childhood. After all, he was an emotional person. This was where all the calls had to come.

Now they thought of making a cupboard for files and the places it right beside the noticeboard. It was tall but quite short in width. Just about right to store the files. They were all completed with their deep cleaning and now wanted to rest. Above all, the first day of their business was tomorrow.

They had done a lot to promote their business, for which they had to ask a lot of people and had to pay a hefty amount. Handing out booklets outside churches and malls was one of the things that they did boost their popularity. They also asked the owner of the room if he could allow hanging a banner from their room window. Mark, who was Jack's personnel assistant, had put out words about their business on the internet and posted about it on Instagram. Now it was the waiting games, of course!
