The Prophecy Girl

Prelogue: The Curse

Since the Gods of Olympus came to power they've chose to have children with humans, and other mystical beings. Never was in the history of Olympus, has it been told that a god could have a child with another god. Until two gods decided in 1997, that were chosen to bring a child cursed to become a demigod born to two gods of Olympus. The god of the sea and the goddess of love and beauty. Neither knew that some vengeful secret being would curse a child of there's to be born as a demigod only to learn it's lineage at the age of seventeen. The child would either help the evil who had caused this or save it's birth place. For only the Fates could see the possibilities and hope the child would choose the right path. So as it was planned the Goddess bore the child in Olympus. The father, the god of the sea, was forced to take it to his closet friend. A demigod who in the right time would reveal what was needed to be known. This begins the beginning or the end to Olympus and the world.

Chapter One: Budoun

You know what sucks about living in a small town, is that everybody knows you and everything you've done. This town is in a constant state of teenage drama and that is just the adults. And not being born here just makes you an outsider even though you've gone to school with them all their lives. No matter what you will be placed in groups, townie or transplant. My story began two years after 9/11 happened.

I moved to Budoun a few years after the planes hit the towers. My mom had just remarried and had my newest brother, Mark. Mom's husband, Frank, was a marine so we had to move to the base in Budoun. The town had two fast-food places, five restaurants, and one grocery store. It was a change of pace than Corpus Christi, Texas. The nearest mall was about 45 minutes away and as a child I was in a constant state of boredom. Fast-forward to 2015, I'm now a junior and a lot has changed since we moved here. I'm still the outspoken dark haired girl with pale ivory skin but my life has changed entirely since the day I moved to this small town. My mom and her new husband are divorced but we never left Budoun like I thought we would. The town grew so we now have at least six pizza places, eight fast-food restaurants, and two grocery stores. I have another little brother name Isaiah who was born three years after we moved here. My friends have moved away to other bases which leaves me to be stuck with the "odd" townies. Nothing has really changed is Budoun. Same old people, new drama.

Only one more year till I'm free of this small town and I can finally belong without being labelled as a transplant. Still I feel like I don't belong in this family but mom swears I'm not adopted. Yet no one looks like me in my family as I am the pale white girl in a family full of people with tan skin and are freakishly tall. I'll just continue to count down the days till the graduation and the day I can leave Budoun in my car's mirror.

Chapter Two:Class 285

"Now guys I get that this party you're talking about is the "party of the year", but the next one I hear speak about it is going to Ms. Kroston's office" Our A.P. teacher says. Gotta love being an outsider with Mr. Lopez on their side. When we all first came to high school we thought Mr. Lopez was mexican like me. To our astonishment, he was a short white guy who looked redder than white. He is strict, so when he hears the popular kids talking he gets annoyed. Now our class is a total of eighteen, fourteen people who have been born here with all their family too, and then there is us, the outsiders. Leah, Lyria, Markus, and me. Leah is usually mistaken as being a "cheerleader", we all blame it on her blonde hair and blue eyes with her killer tan. Markus is who everybody thinks is a "manwhore". I think they're jealous because his dirty blonde hair is spiked in the front making them all think of if Pauly D was not as tan and had blonde hair. And of course Lyria is the drop dead gorgeous one I think. She's the shortest one of us all, with me and Leah being 5"4 and Markus being 6"4, she is our 5''2 golden brown red head. We seriously do look like a group of misfits. Leah, Lyria, and Markus all grew up in Budoun but they don't follow the town's weird norms of shaming the transplants for moving there. Well the town would be nice to a transplant if they had money or something mutually beneficial. I was neither of those to the town except a blemish that questioned their norms and hierarchy of popularity as well as their style of dressing.

Throughout the lecture I was bewildered by questions about the so called "in" group. The "in" group stayed the same but occasionally took in transplants. The head girl in the group that ran our grade was the infamous stuck up, Lisa Salavtoini. Lisa was about 5'6 and was built like a guy. Everyone said her figure was because she played softball and volleyball but personally I think it was just genetics because both her parents were bigger built. Lisa constantly was in the tanning bed so her tan was dark but sometimes on a bad day she looked orange with her dirty blonde hair. The guys in the groups were cut-outs of the blonde version of the Grayson Dolan. The girls mirrored Lisa but were shorte and unbelievably slim. "Airstole Grace Fuentes! Why aren't you taking notes?" Lyria quietly asked me. All I could think was why wouldn't they ever see we are just like then. 'Um sorry kinda was I guess thinking how we never get invited to the "popular" parties', looking back down at my notebook. Guess the whole group heard me because my phone started vibrating, which was sitting on top of the notebook I was using. If Lyria hadn't heard everybody talk about the party, then she probably would've thought I was day dreaming. But she had and so did the rest of the group so I had to deal with everybody texting me saying its okay.

Group Message:LyriaTheMainBae, TheBeast(Markus), Boobear-

(T)-Don't Sweat It Hun👍 smile😊!(classic Markus for you)

(B)-Listen to loser. For once he's right.

(T)-Hey Hey Hey when am I wrong? Wait nvm!!!!

(Me)-guys I get that you don't care but I do. It's just sucks sometimes.

(L)-bae seriously they are just jerks, we'll someday be more popular than the "populars".

With Lyria saying that we all knew she was right, but it does still suck not being invited to hang out with the popular people. When we all looked back at the front of the class there was a new kid standing by Mr. L's desk. Of course all you hear is whispers bout how cute he is from the cool kids. "Fuentes get up here please."Mr. L says in more of a yelling voice than an indoor one."I need you to show Nathaniel to his classes since you both have every class together."I look at the new guy, he's tan with some gorgeous blue eyes and black hair. 'Wait uh how does Mr.L know my schedule? And oh my god that boy is good looking!' Knowing I probably looked like an idiot with adazed look I responded back. "Uh no problem sir! Nathaniel you want to sit with us till the bell rings", I ask. He nods and follows me to our group's corner. The group asked him the basic questions and he answered, but there was something about him I couldn't shake. Maybe it's those blue eyes. Right before the bell rings, Lisa comes up to our table to ask Nathaniel if he wanted to come to her party. To all of our shock he says,"Why would I go to a party who I don't even know the host. Which I'm guessing is you. And you seem rude so..." with that Lisa storms off out the door as the bell rings. Smirking Nathaniel looks at our group. "So is anybody going to explain why cake face asked me to some stupid party." Leah, Markus, and I all bursted out laughing, leaving Lyria to explain. This is going to be an interesting year and Nathaniel may be the spark we needed in Budoun.
