“Was that really you Zerra Zhao?” came from a familiar voice. As I look

back who’s calling I saw Chen Xiao with the person I really hate the most; Xavier Yang.

“What a coincidence” He added as he look up to Xavier.

“I’m right Xavier” with a crazy smile on his face.

“As if I care? I don’t have enough time. Pay it already if you don’t

want me to leave you here.” Xavier said and act to go.

“Wait” Chen said and pay for all the groceries that they buy.

“Ahh before I forgot. Xavier you need a new assistant right? I also

heard that Zerra is searching for job. Why don’t you take her as your new

assistant?” Chen suggested to Xavier.

“I don’t need a clumsy assistant like her.” Xavier answers coldly.

Chen goes near Xavier and whisper something to him that makes me saw

again the devilish smile I hate the most.

“Fine, but is she willing?” Xavier ask.

“Hey Zerra are you interested? Being Xavier assistants have so many benefits,

plus a brand new car and a 50,000 RMB monthly payment.

(WHAAAAAAAAT? 50,000 RMB? MONTHLY? WITH A BRAND NEW CAR?)

“I think she’s not interested. Let’s go I have a meeting to attend”

irritably said by Xavier.

“Wait. Ok. I will accept the job.”  I quickly respond as I grab his arms.

“Report tomorrow at Yang Group, 8 AM.” After he said that he hoop in to

his sports car.

Well if you don’t know, I was in hypermarket buying some groceries and

unfortunately I encountered my classmate back senior and junior days.

Xavier Yang was the President of the Yang Group. The well-known

underwear brand in City S.  Xavier was

surrounded by so many pretty and wealthy girls. Every girls wanted to slept

with him. But sorry to say I was not belong to those girls who envy him so

much. I hate Xavier Yang! I really really hate him! Even if it’s the two of us

left in this world, I will never ever gonna like this shameless scum bulldog. He

makes my school days miserable. Never in my school days has he stopped bullying

me.

Ah. By the way, I’m Zerra Zhao. I was a jobless now and loner. I don’t

have parents; I only have one friend Althea and tiny apartment. I used to live

alone since I escape that haunted orphanage. Well it’s not like a haunted

house. The madam who’s taking care of us was the one that’s so scary. Since I got

a chance to escape then I did my best to live by my own. In that orphanage,

people call me Zeyen Zhao and change it to Zerra Zhao when I escaped. As young

of 15 years old that time someone kind hearted help me. But I thought she was

that kind, I didn’t thought that was another chapter of hell in my life. After

3 years of suffering from that house, I have courage to escape again. I find

some part time job and a mini apartment where I can stay while still studying.

Life is not that easy, I need to double up my works, extend working time and

didn’t have time for myself. And then this happen, I lost my two jobs because

of what I was so called friend Rachel.

“Hey Zerra buy me some milk” Ford ordered me.

“Who gives you permission to order my slave?” Xavier ask Ford with a

cold eyes.

“I’m sorry, it will never happen again.” Ford said head down.

“No one allow to hurt her, command her, and make her become someone

slave except me” he said while pointing to me.

“I’m no one’s slave. I have works to do so can you excuse me.” I explain

and leave them.

As I pass them I saw Ji Su. The team captain of soccer team.

“Ji Su was here!! Ahhhhh” shouted by his fan girls. Everytime they saw Ji Su they run to him and offer

love letter, water, towel and everything they have. He was cover by sweat. As I

look at him, our eyes meet. I have crush to Ji Su since he helped me from

Xavier.

“Hey looser watch out!” as Xavier shouted that words I saw myself slowly

falling from the stairs.

“Ahhhhh!!” I waited for that painful fall but when I open my eyes I saw

Ji Su holding me in his arms.

“Are you ok?” he ask. I automatically stand but I failed to stand. My

ankle hurts.

“Let me take you to school clinic.” Ji Su offered but before I open my

mouth to refuse Xavier already hold me to his arms.

“Let me take care of her” Xavier said before we live.

I didn’t do anything. There’s no word wants to come out to my mouth. Is

it because I was hurt so that its ok for him to hold me like this?

“Ah Xavier you can put me down.”

“And why would I do that?” he ask with his eyebrow up.

“I can handle myself. Thank you for insisting to take care of me.”

“Don’t be so self high. You’re injured. You can’t take care of self.”

After he say those words I saw myself blushing.

“Call your parents so they can pick you up” said by the nurse after

putting some ointment and bandages.

“They were out of town. I can call a taxi to send me home.” I insist.

“Ok then. Let me help you call a taxi”

“Thank you sir”

Days past before my injury was totally ok.

“Zerra are you fine now? Does the doctor allowed you to walk?” Althea

asked me as he runs toward me.

“Yes, I’m already fine.” I answered with a smile. “I think we should go.

We will be late to our class” I added.

When we enter the room there’s only Xavier. It looks like he woke up

early so that he was at school as this early.

“Zerra I need to go to washroom.” Althea said and closes the door. As

she closed the door I heard Xavier foot steps toward me.

“You looked totally fine, so how will you repay my kindness?” when I looked

up, I saw Xavier with his crazy smile.

“What do you want from me? I don’t have money.”

“I want you to be my slave”

“In your dream” I was in my way to leave he mention something.

“Then let the school know your secret. Where your parents are, who you

really are and what kind of job you have.” He’s threatening me.

“Well I was just a little bit confused why you’re always don’t like to talk about your parents. Even the teacher likes to see them you always have an excuse.” He stop and sit in front of me. “So your still not willing to be my slave?”

“You crazy man, I thought your kind to me.” As I raised my hand to slap him, he already reaches it.

“It was true that I was kind, but...” he stop and flip my bangs “but not to those people like you. So annoying liar!” when he said the last sentence I feel cold air touches my skin.

“I never intended to lie. It just I don’t want others to talk about me. And its none of your business. I didn’t offend you.” I said with a confused face.

“Think about it carefully. Remember everything about me Zerra.” When he said that the doors open and Althea came out.

“What’s the matter?” she asked me and look to Xavier.

“Ahh… Nothing he was checking If I’m already ok.” I looked to Xavier with a fake smile. “By the way thank you for helping me that day.”

“Your welcome” he answers me with a smirk.

After some of my classmates coming. And the bell ring that signs for the class to be started. The class ended.

“Zerra lets go home together, my driver texted me that his wife was not felling well so he need to go home.

“Sure” I stand and put my things on my backpack. When I was leaving I bumped to Xavier and those things that was holding fall.

“I’m sorry” I said while picking my things.

“I’m sorry too.”

I don’t know if he accidentally fall a piece of paper but when I open it. It was for me. ‘You only have this whole day to think about my proposal to you or you’ll be the whole topic of XYZ University tomorrow.’

“Let’s go Zerra” Althea asked me.

“Ok..Ok I’m coming”

When I arrived to my apartment, I clean my room and ready myself for work.

I almost forgot about the deal that Xavier said. When I open my phone I already saw 59 missed calls from Xavier. I was on the point to click the call button my phone ring and Xavier name pop up.

“WHAT THE HECK! DO YOU THINK I WAS KIDDING? THEN LET SEE!” Xavier shouted as I answer the phone call.

“I just off from my work, I didn’t realize what time it is already. I was too busy.” I explained.

“By the way, I accept the deal. Promise me never to leak out my secret and in change I will do whatever you said” I continued.

“Deal” and he hung up.

When I arrived home, I started to do my homework’s and fell asleep.

 Tomorrow will be another start of my hell life.
