CHAPTER 1: Bomb Blast in the City Centre

Ringing phone........"Hello???"......" Dr. Penelope....hurrry up!!! We need your help. There is a bomb blast in the city centre. We must act immediately, I have already sent a group of doctors and nurses who have started to help people but we need others. Head to the centre now!!!"

Penelope got out of bed jumping and her sister Sophie woke up hurriedly. She saw her sister was getting dressed rushly.

Penelope immediately went down the stairs to the first floor to warn Senior Dr. Kyle, who was living in her house due to the renovation of his house.

Then Penelope left....and Kyle also goes out in a hurry with Penelope.

Sophie : " Penny....Penny.....Pennyyyyyy" " What's wrong with these two??" Then she followed them.

1 hour later

She went to the city centre, couldn't see anything, the air was full of smoke. There were lots of injured bodies & dead bodies everywhere. Everyone were running here & there. She got panicked cause she was not able to find her sister & Kyle. Then in the crowd suddenly she met Harry. He was shocked to see Sophie there.

He asked: "What the hell are you doing here? Are you crazy? Wanna die so early? What am I going to answer to your sis?"

She replied: "I followed them here but I can't find them... Sob... Are they okay?"

Harry said: "They're fine, you idiot!!! Come with me I'll take you to them. And never do such a thing again got it??"

Sophie was crying & agreed to him. Harry took her to them.

CHAPTER 2: The Meeting

Sophie: "Pennyyy.....!"

She ran and hugged Penelope. "Oh Penny, I am glad to see you alright.....why did you jump spontaneously and come to a terrible place like this?" - Sophie

Penelope : "OMG!!!! What the hell are you doing here.... you little brat!!! What's wrong with you?? This is my job, isn't it??"

Harry: "Oh...come on Penny!!! She is just a little girl!!!"

Penelope starring Harry with angry eyes....."Excuse me, who gave you the permission to call me Penny, huh? And by the way, what are you doing here? And the last one.... she is a law student now.... not a little girl... got it???"

Penelope asked Harry to take Sophie at home, and she started looking to the injured patients.

Harry: "Let's go Sophie...!!! Your sister is damn mad now"

Then Harry walked away with Sophie and came outside the tent; and they saw Kyle coming toward the tent with a patient... he noticed Sophie & Harry, but ignored them & went inside with a patient to Penelope.

AFTER A LITTLE WHILE......

Kyle came outside and glared at them then said: "What are you doing here??? Are you injured??? Sophie why are YOU here??? "

Harry and Sophie looked to each other and both said : "Are you okay???"

Kyle was shocked by their question........"Yes, what's wrong???"

Harry: "Nothing!!! I was a little surprised that you asked Sophie too"

Kyle : "Why not??? What's so surprising after all, she's the little sister of my junior, so obviously I should ask her... at least for formality."

Sophie murmured " Yeah, what else I could expect from a moody like you!!!"

Harry laughed.....!!!

2 HOURS LATER....

Kyle : "Penelope you should go back home with Sophie. I handled the situation, so you don't have to see other patients we've enough doctors here & also nurses are helping us. So take her home"

Penelope agreed but Sophie didn't want to leave him there so she declined. Harry forcefully took her toward the car she dumped his head & ran away. Kyle stopped & glared at her.

Sophie: "What? I won't leave you here in the middle of chaos" The nurses laughed.

Kyle: "As if you're gonna protect me if I get attacked. So go back home while I'm saying nicely." Rolling his eyes

Sophie: "Hmph... At least I know Karate you can't even use a gun rather than a stethoscope.... hahaha..."

Everyone laughed loudly he chuckled and said: "I only know how to save lives not like you eating everyone's time..."

Penelope: "Stop guys! Let's go Sophie don't argue with him. Let's go home & eat some tasty food."

Sophie: "TASTY FOOD??????? Yay, I'm going... You, moody go back to work!"

Then they went away and Kyle said: "How childish! Left me for food and says she'll protect me."

Colleague: "If I'm not wrong someone told her to go away & now regrets..."

Kyle: "Regret & me? Go back to work just like she said & don't make fun of me."

CHAPTER 3: The Chaos of 4 AM

Sophie : "It's yummy!!! How did you know that I wanted to eat something as spicy and good as this meal??? By the way, where did you get it?? Next time I will have a dinner party with my friends cause they all love spicy food."

Penelope: "You didn't have to behave this way with Kyle. You are old enough now... so please act with maturity. You are the one who is about to graduate in 8 months.... and still behaving childish. Therefore, focus on studying and working. If i am not mistaken, tomorrow morning you have to go for internship of your future job at court..... so try to not be late in the first day cause everything will be reported to your professor and he will decide about the marks."

Sophie : "Oh come on Penny... you are being so boring.... I know about that so chill!!! Everything will be just perfect. Let's watch iKon's concert tonight... what do you say??? We missed the last one......"

Penny: "Alright!!! But not for so long okay?"

After this conversation both asleep on the couch while watching the concert.... of course.... because they were tired....

AT 4 AM......

Kyle: "Finally everything is under control and I can go home now."

Harry: "Okay.. Then I'll drop you."

VROOMMMM...VROOOMMMMM......

After a while they got home and Kyle was getting out of the car without saying anything and Harry says....

"Shouldn't you asks me to stay tonight since it's too late?? Where will this poor man go in this tremendous darkness and absolute silence?? You have to think about it, don't you??"

Kyle : "There are two girls in house... so I can't let just anyone stays here... And you are the CEO of the famous company.... you can stay at hotel or book a resort."

Harry: "How rude!!! I am not just anyone... I am your friend you punk!!"

Saying this he goes inside the house. As soon as they enter they immediately notice the two sisters lying on the sofa.

Kyle ignores them instead Harry says..." How cute they are... especially my beloved doctor..... Aww... I didn't know she was so beautiful while sleeping!!"

Kyle : "Go away you pervert"

Harry : "Where should I sleep?? In your room I guess..."

Kyle immediately enters his room and closes the door in Harry's face.

Harry: "Hey you... where should I go??"

Kyle: "I didn't welcome you at home... so go hell...."

Harry: "I can't even sleep on the couch... it's already filled... should I go to the upstairs?? Yes, I am going to sleep to my doctor's room.... Super excited!!!"

Then he goes to the sister's room to sleep.

CHAPTER 4: Scream In the Early Morning

At 8 AM

Suddenly Sophie falls off the couch while she was turning around... she opens her eyes as the sunlight hits her face. Soon after, she remembers that she has to go to work and checks her phone to see the time.....

And screams..... Ahhhhhhhhh it's already 8 o'clock and i still didn't get ready...... what is thisss!!!!! Today is my first day of internship and I will be late...... no this will be the worst impression everrrr...... Penny warned me yesterday but why didn't I set the alarmmmm, whyyy???

Hearing the scream, everyone in the house wakes up....

Penny: "I told you.... now don't waste your time and get ready"

Saying this Penny goes to make breakfast and Sophie runs off to get ready. When Sophie was about to open the bedroom door Harry opens the door to leave the room...... for a moment she was shocked but ignores him and immediately enters the room as Harry was about to ask something....

Harry comes downstairs and asks Penelope : "What happened?? I heard a scream and woke up"

Penny asks Harry instead of replying him.... "What are you doing in my house??"

Harry says.." Oh, I was sleeping in your bed.... it was so soft.... I really enjoyed"

Penny: "From now on that bed is yours.... make sure you take it away by today cause tomorrow I will buy a new one  and I will never sleep in a bed after you slept."

Meanwhile Kyle comes out of his room.... he was all ready to go out and hears the conversation between Harry and Penny..... and says to Harry : "See, I told you.... you are not welcomed in this house"

Harry: "Okay.... then I take the bed as my dowry"

Penny: "What dowry??? It's a broken bed...huh"

Sophie immediately goes downstairs and takes a slice of bread with jam to eat.....

Harry says to Kyle: "Aren't you ready to go out?? Why don't you give Sophie a lift??"

Kyle: "Why should I??"

After she finishes eating, Sophie immediately runs and gets into Kyle's car and tells Kyle to come right away.

Kyle sighs!!!!

Harry starts laughing then Kyle takes Harry out of the house saying to him that he could take advantage of Penelope while she is alone at home.

CHAPTER 5: Silent Conversation

Kyle gets into the car and starts driving silently. Sophie looking at him all focused on driving , says to Kyle why he doesn't say anything. Kyle continues to drive on his own without paying attention to Sophie.

Sophie: "Oh come on man!!! You should wish me all the best cause it's my first time going to experience a difficult work... You are so boring!!! I am telling you if you continue like this no one will marry you... You will be alone the whole life and cry alone then die alone!!!! Don't you think it will be a pity??? I am super nervous... Please say something to console me otherwise I will die shivering.... I understand you always talk less but this time I really need someone to talk..... Are you even listening to me or not???"

After saying this Sophie starts shaking Kyles arm and Kyle shouted on her.

Kyle: "Stop it!!!!! I am driving.... why do you want me to get killed with you???"

Sophie got startled!!!!! She was all silent for the rest of the way.

After 30 minutes.....

Finally they arrived at the court and as soon as Kyle stops the car Sophie immediately gets out without saying goodbye.

Kyle: "She has no manners at all!!!"

Sophie enters the court and goes to the chamber of her professor who is the criminal judge of the city where she lives. Sophie is going to work as his assistant.

Knock Knock....

Judge: "Come in, the door is open!"

Sophie: "Good morning sir! I apologise for being late sir. I promise it won't repeat."

Judge: "Oh, look who's here!!! Very good girl... you are 1 hour late in your first day. Should I hire an assistant like that??? You are very intelligent... only because of your smartness I am hiring you but remember if you do this once again you'll be fired!!!! Got it???"

Sophie: "I am sorry sir.... it won't repeat... Sorry!!!!"

Judge: "You have only 30 minutes to read the file of your first case and after 35 minutes we have a hearing... now get to work!!!"

Sophie was all shocked by the professor's attitude because at the University he behaved very well with her... but now he treats her like a very cruel boss.

Sophie starts to read and understand the topic of the case file and takes notes of the key words.

After 30 minutes....

Judge: "So are you ready???? Let's head to the court room!!!"

Sophie: "Yess sir"

While going to the trial room......

Judge: "Where is that brat!!!"

Sophie: "Sorry sir, are you looking for... someone??" *hesitant*

*creaks* Opens the door.

Initial of the Trial

Mr. Yuri (Bailiff): "Please rise. The Court of the Second Judicial Circuit, Criminal Division, is now in session, the Honorable Judge J. Michael and the Honorable Junior Judge Ms. Sophie presiding."

After the bailiff has called the court to order, judge enters courtroom and sits at the bench.

Judge: "Everyone but the jury may be seated. Mr. Yuri, please swear in the jury."

Bailiff: "Please raise your right hand. Do you affirm that you will truly listen to this case and render a true verdict and a fair sentence as to this defendant?"

Jury: "I do."

Bailiff: " You may be seated."

Judge: "Members of the jury, your duty today will be to determine whether the defendant is guilty or not guilty based only on facts and evidence provided in this case. The prosecution has the burden of proving the guilt of the defendant beyond a reasonable doubt. This burden remains on the prosecution through the trial. The prosecution must prove that a crime was committed and that the defendant is the person who committed the crime. However, if you are not satisfied of the defendant’s guilt to that extent, then reasonable doubt exists and the defendant must be not guilty.

Mr. Yuri, what is today’s case?"

Bailiff: "Your Honor, today’s case is about a brutal murder crime. Mr. Alexander Rudy, son of a member of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Philip Rudy, who bullied his batch mates Ricky Botcher, Putnam Triphob and ended up committing the crime."

Judge: "Is the prosecution ready?"

Prosecutor: *Stand up* "Yes, your Honor." *Be seated*

Judge: "Is the defense ready?"

Defense Attorney: "Yes, Your Honor."

Opening statements

Prosecutor: "Your Honor, member of the Jury, my name is Luis Cooper. Today I intend to prove that Mr. Alexander Rudy is the one guilty of the fault. Fortunately, I got some witnesses with me to the courtroom so that your Honor can make a decision. Your Honor, please give me the permission to call them here in the stand and prove this man's guilt."

Judge: "You may call your first witness."

Prosecutor: "Thank you, Your Honor. I call to Ms. Natasha Pandey to come on the stand and tell us what happened that day."

The witness comes to the stand and the Judge asks Mr. Yuri to make swear the witness to tell the truth and of course the whole truth!!!

Ms. Natasha: "Your Honor, it was 25th December...the student committee decided to throw a late night Christmas party for students who did not leave the campus for the vacation. Alexander was too angry about something and I saw him to beat Ricky and Putnam. I was so stunned, so I did a video and the next day I told about it to my friend Sara but she was too afraid to say anything. So, we didn't tell anything to anyone but still I was so worried about the boys cause Ricky and Putnam were not seen by anyone in the campus from the next day morning. Everyone thought that they went home cause Alexander spread it."

Judge: "The Defense Attorney may cross-examine the witness."

While the Judge asks the Defense to examine the witness Sophie was so shocked about everything because it was her first day assisting a live trial.....meanwhile someone enters the room wearing a black robe.

Sophie was a little confused but she understood that he was another Judge.

Judge: "Mr.LEO DANIEL... Finally, you are here. What took you so long to come, huh? Don't you know the court rule??"

Judge Daniel: "Sorry sir... I was sleeping!!!"

Sophie: "Sleeping???? How can someone sleep in this situation!!!"

Judge: "You know nothing about him... he's a total jerk... and always comes late to the trial... Hey boy, how come you didn't do that fascinating entry you always do?"

Judge Daniel: "I came to know that today we will have another Judge, who is a pretty young lady so how could i do that... who knows if she falls for me???"

Sophie was thinking "I guess he is also a pervert!!!"

Judge: "I just don't get it... who approved you to be in my higher position??? Oh, I remember unfortunately it was my insane bestie... Now I regret it" *sigh*

Defense Attorney: "Sorry Your Honor, can I examine her with you permission??"

Judge Daniel: "Of course, Mr. Attorney... after all we are here for this."

Defense: "So Ms. Natasha, what were you doing there??"

Ms. Natasha: "I was just passing from there."

Defense: "Are you sure??? I can see here written that the place was a boys' dorm, so how did you reach there???"

Ms. Natasha: "I-"

Defense: "Oh, it's not like you were just passing by the boys dorm or there is more we're not aware of? *silence* You may go now Ms. Natasha. Your Honor, with your permission I want to call one of my witnesses who know Natasha and will clear everything."

Judge: "You may call your witness."
