Chapter-1: Beautiful girl
Lucas shout as he throw the Ball towards Leonardo
Leonardo catch the ball and jumps up and attempts a layup, watching with anticipation as the basketball teases the hoop.
In that moment, every detail becomes visible to him. The way the orange plating on the metal hoop is flaking off, the way the backboard bounces as his feet hit the ground.
When the ball falls through and hits the ground, it's like time stops.
Leonardo runs towards the center of the court and cheers, quickly being swarmed by his excited teammates. People on the bleachers rise and chant his name, as the referee blows the whistle around his neck 3 long times. The high pitched noise rings through his ears, but is quickly replaced by the screams of an ecstatic crowd. They'd won the game by 2 points, they had done it, Leonardo had done it.

Leonardo! Leonardo!Leo!Leo!THE KING!KING! LEONARDO!LEO!
It wasn't the first time he'd done something like this - at this point, his teammates almost anticipated it. Cristiano was given the nickname "Lifeguard" because during games when all hope seemed lost, he do the impossible - score a point and once again bring their school's team to victory. That's the kind of man he is.

After Lucas jumps out of his view, he eyes the crowd and is able to identify a few familiar faces. The adrenaline in his veins forces him to jump up against friends, and that's when he sees her.
Next to a screaming Cris Thomas sits a face he's never seen before.
Hell, if he'd seen someone who looks like that, he would definitely not forget them.
Leo Whispers as he feel his breath hitched
The mystery girl sits there, as if uninterested by the commotion on the court. It annoys Leonardo, he wants her to look his way and swoon over him. Wants her to jump up to him and thank him for the win - but she just sits there.
Leonardo only realizes that he's staring when his gaze is returned, big brown eyes staring into his own. She tucks a tuft of her short brown hair behind her ear as pink dusts her cheeks, and Leonardo had never seen her type of beauty before.
He wants to know more about her.
James yells, Grabbing Leo's shoulder and shaking him and bringing him back to reality
He flinches at the touch, noticing that many people on the bleachers had already left the gymnasium and that the teammates that once surrounded him were gathering their water bottles and returning to the locker rooms.
He says as his hand went to touch the back of his neck

the remark earns him a light shove on his shoulder

Lucas says as he joins them

Don't forget that we're meeting at Benjamin's house for drinks!
after that Lucas wave goodbyes to them and walks away
James and Leonardo continue to exchange banter until their Coach scolds them for wasting time.
The two of them then rush to the locker rooms, but Leonardo can't help but glance back at the bleachers with hope that he might be able to see that girl again,
but she was nowhere to be seen..

Chapter 2:New Neighbour
Leonardo tosses his athletic duffel bag on the wooden floor of his bedroom, and he can hear his basketball shoes fumble against the fabric as it hits the ground.
He flops onto his bed, the sweaty school jersey sticking to his back.
For the longest time, he refused to play any sport other than football. He had been convinced to start playing basketball when he was informed that His football Coach would be coaching the basketball team as well.
It turns out that Cristiano is apparently a natural at basketball, putting those who played their entire life to shame. With the agility and speed he trains by playing football, he's quickly able to get past defense and cut off the passes of the opponent teams. To him, it's almost too easy.

but the reason he's so hyped is because spring season is football season - and he just can't wait.
Football is his life, it's what he lives for. He wouldn't trade it for the world.

irritation evident in his voice because really, he wants nothing more than to take a nice cold shower.
He forces himself to get up and he stomps his feet down against each step he takes while descending the flight of stairs. He finds the front door and makes a quick exit while grabbing a fistful of his jersey and bringing it to his forehead to wipe any remaining sweat.
Leonardo looks up when he hears laughing coming from in front of him, and stops in his tracks when he sees the source of the laughter.
It's the girl from earlier... and Cristopher Thomas. The two of them are grabbing at each other's sleeves and laughing in each other's arms. The **** was Thomas doing here?
Leonardo feels a hand clasp his shoulder, and he realizes his mother has come to his side.

Leonardo remembers the reason he came down in the first place and looks forward and sees another woman in front of him, and she reaches her hand forward indicating that she wanted to shake his hand.
Leonardo returns the gesture with a firm yet polite grip, and flashes a blinding smile.

She provides, her voice sweet and full of genuine kindness.

She points over to the direction of the girl and Cris

My son is over there, I believe he's your age or younger!"
Cristiano glances over to the two of them and realizes she's likely speaking of Thomas

I already met him
He found it kind of strange that Thomas's mother was moving in just now when he's been attending the same schools as Leonardo since childhood, but he didn't voice any of his thoughts. He just assumes that it's some weird divorce situation where Thomas lives with his father.
He then looks over to the girl, and because he believes that Thomas is mixed up in some divorced parents situation,
He eventually comes to the conclusion that this girl is the daughter of Mrs.Elis and the half-sibling of Thomas and that she would be his neighbour too
-Also meaning that he didn't have any reason to be jealous of Thomas anymore.

After chatting with Mrs.Elis for a while, he notices that Thomas has left, leaving the girl all alone. Leonardo slips out of his conversation with Mrs.Elis when his mother and her begin discussing pie recipes, and walks over to this girl he's been meaning to speak with.
He's never been this intrigued by a girl before, most of the time he never had to put in this much effort. Most of the time, they would flock to him and beg for his attention.
