It all started on my 18th birthday. It was the day when I felt his presence for the first time.
After my 18th birthday party got over and everyone went to their home. I was alone in my small apartment as my friend Verena went to buy some groceries for our tomorrow's breakfast. We live together in this apartment so that it can be easy for us to go to university. We paid our three months rent with our savings as we were planning to move out of the house on our 18th birthday.
I was clearing the house when Verena arrived home with a huge grocery bag. After that we sorted the things out in our apartment and went to our respective rooms.
I took shower and went to bed to sleep after my exhausted day but the moment I closed my eyes I felt someone entering inside my room, but my sleepy eyes were not ready to open. I was going in a deep sleep but still I was trying to wake up.
The next moment I felt chills all over my body. I felt someone's presence every close to my body. It feels like that person was standing right next to my lying figure.
From that day till now I feel his presence. Every time he comes I feel goosebumps all over my body.

Today is my 20th birthday. I am sitting on the couch placed in my room's balcony.

Right now my third lecture of the day is going on, and I am not able to focus on it. I am feeling distressful today.

Well I think I am just nervous for my family dinner tonight. It has always been like this only. I don't like this family dinner thing because in most family it's actual family dinner where everyone sits together and talk happily with each other whereas in my family it's more like putting a fake show in front of each other and sharing our achievements of the month.
My family is not a big family or joint family it's just me, my elder brother, my mother and father. My mother and father both are very busy person they rarely get time to talk or to meet me whereas my brother is very caring and protective towards me. He lives in another city but still he somehow manages his time to call me or to get update about my life.
Truly saying he is the one who always saves me from our parent's overboard expectations.

Finally the lecture is over. I packed my bag and quickly make my way towards the canteen.

I entered inside the canteen and just like every day the canteen was crowded full of people and chattering noise. I find my usual spot to sit.

While I was busy using my phone suddenly I feel someone's presence behind me, and I turn around to see who is it.

I saw my best friends straight face and got scared. She was standing so close to me with her natural straight face which scared the shit out of me.

Here we go again. Her typical behaviour or should I say personality. She is a foody person but a very picky one. She always eats my food without asking me and more over she starts pointing out the things in it.

I understand she is worried about me because she is well aware of my parent's behaviour but her this much protective nature sometimes scares me.

Whenever I have to attend my family dinner she says these words to me. We have being friends from class 9th. I know she cares for me but is too stubborn to show it openly.

It's 6 o'clock in the evening and I getting ready for my family dinner. I am wearing a vintage style dress which is totally opposite of my style, but what to do my parents are very strict about culture etc. and as I mentioned before it's not a family dinner it more like a show of faking everything.
After applying a light colored lipstick. I look at my reflection in the mirror for the last time before going out.

I still hadn't told my family I'd gotten my result of mid semester. Everytime i tried , the words made it halfway up my throat before they withered and died.
It's not like I got failed or something it just that I didn't get the marks my parents would be expecting from me.
I have always been a average student in studies from the starting and my parents want me to go in business field where as my interest is in Sculpture.
I think I can't hide this anymore. I have to tell them one day then why not today only.
