New world
The buildings are either destroyed or damaged, the streets are blocked by debris and the few that aren’t are full of cars, a boy in a grey hoodie sitting in a destroyed cafe. He doesn’t seem to notice him.
Lin
I don't remember anything, where the heck am I?
The boy in the gray hoodie looks up, his mask hides most of his face, the only thing you can see is some of his white hair and his emerald green right eye. He doesn’t say anything but points to the ruined city around you.*
Plunderer
How would I know?
He says that in a slightly angry tone.
Lin
Isn't that my world? I remember an explosion... Then total fog on the eyes
Plunderer
Your world? That’s what you call it? I don’t know a thing about you, I don’t even know your name.
Plunderer
I’d say you’re lucky to even be alive though, the chances of someone in this city surviving are less than 1%.
Lin
My name is Lin but what's with 1% chance of survival?
Plunderer
Well, you see. The entire planet has been decimated by some “alien” force that we still haven’t figured out. It’s been around 7 years since the catastrophe happened, and we still aren’t much closer to discovering what these “Aliens” are. Most of the planet is an uninhabitable wasteland now and the “alien” like beings roam around it destroying and killing anything they see. Only a few pockets of life remain throughout the world. The human population has dropped from about 8 billion to less than 1 million.
Lin
That's certainly not my world. Do you know how I can get back to my world?
Plunderer
No, but I don’t think it even exists anymore.
He pauses for a second, you see him think for a moment
Plunderer
Maybe, I do know someone who may know how to get you back to your world
He starts walking across the streets.
Lin
(Can I trust him? For now I have no other solution :(.)
Lin
What's with the sword in your hand?
Plunderer
It’s a weapon. To keep me safe.
He starts walking faster as he says that. He stops for a second.
Plunderer
Don’t you own a weapon to protect yourself?
Lin
I just woke up in a new world with a 1% chance of survival, I don't always keep a weapon with me.
Plunderer
The way to where I’m taking you is dangerous, there are monsters that attack everyone they see on site. You wouldn’t last a minute out there without a weapon and skills to use said weapon.
He pulls out a small combat knife.
Plunderer
Don’t lose it and don’t throw it away unless absolutely necessary. Do you even know how to fight?
Lin
(It seems like a good idea to see how dangerous he is)
Plunderer
If you know how to fight then prove it, fight me.
The boy takes a ready stance.
Plunderer
I’ll go easy on you.
Lin

The boy jumps up in the air, he does an aerial kick and lands in an attack stance.
Plunderer
Ok then, I won’t go easy on you.
Lin
(This boy seems to be an advanced fighter. If you’re not of the same level, or higher, he will definitely beat you.)
Lin moves the knife to a fighting position and with the opposite arm he makes a sign to attack him.
Lin launches the first shot, but the boy avoids it without any problems
Lin
(He’s much faster than me)
The boy manages to hit him, the impact throws him into some demolished buildings
Lin
(In my world this blow would have killed me. If I think about it, I feel different since I got here)
He stood up and squeezed his fist
Lin
(I feel it's power, I'm sure I've never felt this power before)
With incredible speed a shot is offered back to the boy
He dodges. The two of them begin exchanging attack after attack, their speed at which they are attacking are too fast to even see.
Plunderer
You’re pretty good, but I’m better.
The boy then starts attacking from every angle.
Lin
(I have to quickly move to evade every attack.)
Lin
Interesting so you can get up to this speed!?
Disappears then a blow throw the boy away
Lin
Wow so I can move the same way!
Lin
(So it's exactly how I thought because I'm not from this world I can quickly go over the limit of powers in this world.)
Lin
(But that doesn't make me invincible, that earlier blow affected me :')
The boy is surprised, he didn’t even see him moving
Plunderer
That’s not possible! How are you moving so fast?
The boy asks, but he gets back to his stance and continues the fight.
Plunderer
What trick did you use?
Lin
There's no trick, I'm not from this world the power comes by itself.
Plunderer
Are you saying you’re from a different world?
The boy asks, a slight hint of excitement in his voice. He still keeps his focus on the fight.
Plunderer
If that’s the case then I have a favor to ask of you.
Plunderer
I want you to help me kill an “alien” that has been roaming my hometown, it killed everyone I knew and almost killed me. It is extremely powerful, but if we work together then we may have a chance.
Lin
(An extremely dangerous alien...what's going on here...)
Lin
If I help you to kill the alien will you help me get back to my world?
Plunderer
Yes of course, I’ll try everything I can to help with that.What’s your world like?
Lin
My world is just like this but doesn't have superpowers, and it's not destroyed. A normal world 😅
Plunderer
It must be much more peaceful than this world. I’ve always wondered what a world without war and destruction would look like. Well then, do we have a deal? Will you help me kill the alien?
He puts away his weapon and nods.
The boy then continues to walk, he seems to know the way from the current location to his hometown
Plunderer
So, you’re from a world that isn’t decimated by war and destruction? I envy you.
The boy speaks without looking back to him.
Lin
It's a peaceful world but some countries still have wars between them, I was one of the soldiers preparing for battle until the explosion that sent me into this world.
Plunderer
I see, well thank you for your service.
He speaks while continuing to walk.
Plunderer
The fact that you’re a soldier must mean you are really strong then. It also must mean you’re very brave.
The boy speaks respectfully and with admiration in his voice.
Lin
My grandfather used to say this ever since I was little
Plunderer
Your grandfather sounds like he was a good man.
Lin
He was a veteran of the war... He died protecting me in an explosion when I was little, it was the first bomb that started the war.
Plunderer
Im so sorry, I didn’t mean to bring up something so sad.
The boy speaks in a quiet voice, he keeps looking straight forward as he walks. A tear forms in one of his eyes as he continues looking forward.
Plunderer
I never really knew my parents, but I’m sure your grandfather was a better man than my father will ever be.
Lin
What happened to your father?
Plunderer
I never really knew him. He left before I was even born. He was, from what I heard from my mother, a very evil man.
Lin
(I feel a presence, there's danger around us but how I can feel the presence of danger is weird)

From all sides, watch out we are surrounded
The boy looks around and nods. A couple of men emerge from the darkness they were hiding in, all of them have long daggers and some have swords. They seem to be criminals judging by the way the dress and the weapons they are wielding.
Lin
They haven't noticed us yet.
Plunderer
We have the element of surprise

What do you say we try to take them down now?
The boy says while getting ready to fight.
Plunderer
There’s 5 of them it should be a pretty even fight
He says while looking at Lin.
Lin
(I'm still dizzy from that blow but the pain is gone, I'm thinking that maybe my body adapts with the power I got.)

Let's fight them (it's a good chance to test that)

Sounds like a plan to me.
He jumps forward and lands right in front of the closest man to him.
Lin
(What plan!? He just jumped without any plan 😑)
Plunderer
Let’s show them what we’re made of.

Get 2 of them I will take care of the rest.
He pulls out the knife and prepares for the fight

OK. Just follow my lead.
The boy leaps forward and uses his sword to attack the two men on the left. The two men dodge, they are just as fast as the boy, but they still receive light wounds. The two men try to land their attacks on the boy but the boy dodges.
Plunderer
They’re much faster than I expected!
He dodges the two other mens attacks and strikes one of them in the leg. They start to slow down. He then focuses on the other one and strikes him in his leg too. The two men start to limp.
Lin
(3 people should be easy , my legs feel very easy to control)
The first man gets a punch from Lin and falls to his knees, the other two men seem shocked.
The two men get scared, they look at each other then they run away.
Plunderer
What a bunch of cowards 😆
The boy sheaths his sword, he then looks at the three men as they flee.
Plunderer
We should get to my home as soon as possible. We shouldn’t let them return with more men.
Lin
Yes you're right we should hurry up

( I missed the opportunity to test my power 😑)
After ten minutes of walking,They can finally see a big house in the distance. The house seems to be well maintained and in perfect condition compared to everything around it.
Plunderer
You see, that’s my home. We should be there in five minutes or so.
The boy points at the house.

Yep, I do live alone.

I’m always prepared since there are many dangerous people in this world.
The boy says while pulling out a small combat knife from his waist and showing it to Lin.

I have many weapons hidden and prepared on my body at all times. I’m fully prepared in the case that the gang who attacked us tries to come back with more men.
Lin
Wow so you're super prepared in case of a fight.

(This boy is very experienced, but still asked for my help. This alien is no joke.)

I only have melee combat and this knife but, I have experience in fighting with any weapon.

They continue to walk towards the house from afar

(Now that I'm thinking about it, my strength in melee combat grew enormously in this world)

(I defeated a man with just a punch)

He says while getting closer to the house.

Looks like we got to your house without any other problems

Yeah it looks like we did.
They finally arrive in front of the big house.
The boy walks into the yard with the knife in his hand, he doesn’t want to let his guard down, just in case someone is hiding.
Lin
We should relax a little, I do not feel any danger nearby.
The boy looks around for a bit, he also doesn’t sense any danger. He sheaths his knife and puts his hands in his pocket.
Plunderer
Ok, you’re probably right, I’m just being extra cautious.

Well what do you think about my home?
The boy looks at Lin with a warm smile. He seems pretty friendly and relaxed, even after all the trouble he just got into with those men.
Lin
It's a beautiful house, and the first one I don't see destroyed 😅
