Chapter 1: The Antagonist

Adrianna Bella Howard is the only daughter of the Owner of the Howard Elite Academy, she grew up having everything in a silver platter, she always win and she always get what she wants. That is why she became mad when some commoner named Helena Everdeen transfer in her school and hug all the glory that was supposedly hers.

Helena is a girl who passed ther scholarship exam and got admitted in Howard, she is someone not on their level. but then she admit that she has a brain.

While reading her favorite book on her personal office in school, two of her classmate enter the room. These are the girls she often order to do some nasty to her number one enemy, Helena. Well in this School she is the Rule and everyone is just her dog.

“Adrianna, we did what you order, Helena is now being bullied by our classmates.” She just smirk.

“good, you can go.” Then her two classmates went out without saying anything.

She stand up and went to her large window, and on her angle she saw a group of girls in the garden, and one girl being in the ground. Until the poor girl run away to the school woods.

“haha, serves you right Helena.” She said while having a sip on her coffee, Helena the girl who just transfer on their school months ago. The girl who stole the spotlight from her.

“soon you will regret staying here.” She said.

“aren’t you done bullying Helena?, Adrianna?” she halt when she heard that voice. She gulp and all of the sudden she felt her heart race.

“i told you didn’t I? Let her have peace.” she became nervous all of the sudden because of him but then she face the guy who abruptly enters her office.

She can see anger on the handsome guy’s face in front of her.

Adrianna can’t stop admiring Lucca’s handsomeness while he is on his uniform.

Lucca Martinez the son of the Chancellor of Germany. the guy she always admire since childhood.

“Adrianna! I’m warning you. Stay away from Helena!” her fantasy coldly vanished when he raise his voice to her and what makes her mad is the way this guy protecting that bitch Helena.

“why! What does it have to do with you Lucca? Last time i check she has nothing to do with you!” she said, then Lucca make a blank face to Adrianna. Why Is he acting like Helena’s knight and shining armor?

“what you are doing is wrong Adrianna, that girl is innocent, let her have peace in school!”

“no! that girl stole everything from me. She doesn’t even deserved to be here, she is just trash! Ahh.. don’t tell you like that bitch!!”

“ENOUGH!! Stop being so judgmental Adrianna, you are just mocking yourself. Just accept the fact that Helena is better than you!” it hurts, she can feel pain in her heart, why can’t this guy see her worth? Why does nobody understand her?

Lucca leave the place without looking at Adrianna.

“what makes that woman special to you Lucca?” Adrianna can’t hold it anymore . she burst into tears with what she feels right now. She felt like even she has everything something is missing.

She hope soon someone will come and see her worth.

Days later she stop ordering her classmates to bully Helena, she just focus her attention on studying and researches. Since few months from now she will graduated and planning to study in one of the prestigious school in Italy.

Library became her most visited place this past few weeks.

“ah, why can’t I perfectly memorize these books?” she said to herself while reading a book for Law students.

She look at her watch and saw that it’s almost 5:00 pm, she can’t believe she did not notice how late it is, she hurriedly put everything in her bag and went out of the library.

While taking the stairs while running, she saw a familliar figure entering the woods.

“is that Helena? Why is she still here?” out of curiosity she follow Helena inside the woods. Their school was surrounded by woods and that makes it private and only the son and daughter of rich family can able to enter this school. But on Helena’s case, that girl is bright enough to afford a scholarship in there.

She just follow Helena and she only stop following her when she saw Helena enters a small house wreck house. Adrianna can’t stop thinking why would Helena go in a place like this. Everything is dark and this place is creepy.

Adrianna decided to stay hidden for a while, and on her place she can hear Helena’s laugh and voices as if she was talking to someone but then she did not hear any different voice inside.

“really? Someone lives in that dirty house?” she said to herself, she can’t believe someone has the guts to stay there.

Minutes later, she saw Helena went out the house and walk outside the woods.

Adrianna was curious of who is the person Helena have been conversing to , so she knock into the door but then seconds has pass that no one is answering her.

“hello, is someone there? Hello.” Still no one is answering but then the door is slightly open.

Adrianna open the door and see nothing inside, besides a wreck chairs a dirty kitchen and a lightless room.” Fear consume her.

“then who is the person Helena has been talking too?” this can’t be. Out of fear she run as fast as she can away from the woods.

She only stop running when she reach the school ground.

“what the hell was that? No one is inside?” Adrianna can’t think of something logic in her head.

“Adrianna!” she look at the person who called her. And there she saw Lucca. Standing in the statue of their school.

“where have you been?” now he is asking?

“nowhere, “ she coldly replied she knows very well that Lucca will just lecture her about Helena. Well nothing is new, Lucca only talk to her when he wants to say something about her bullying Helena.

she is about to leave Lucca when he held her arms all of the sudden.

“are you still picking on Helena? Aren’t you really going to stop?” damn this guy, when will he stop mentioning that crazy woman.

“don’t worry, Lucca i had enough picking on her. No one will hurt your ‘Princess’ from now on.” Adrianna immediately leave Lucca’s sight.

“Adrianna.” She heard him calling her but she doesn’t give a fuck right now to Lucca.

Lucca is obviously in love with Helena, she is not dumb not to notice it.

Why can’t she have the guy that she like? Nothing is missing on her but why?

Chapter 2:

It was Valentines day one of the painful day of her life, well Adrianna just witness Lucca’s Confession to Helena that day. It’s painful for her to watch. Why does Helena can have everything, Without even trying her hardest? Why?

Out of anger , Adrianna got her cellphone and call someone . when she remembers something very important regarding Helena.

“madam this way.” She said to the old lady she just call in their school, this woman was said to be an expert dealing with some spirit and some super natural things. The reason why she have to get one is because it’s been 3 days since she tailed Helena and she is right Helena has been going in and out to that house and talking to someone but then when she check it no one is really inside.

I can’t believe Lucca fall to someone as crazy as Helena.

Hours later the creepy house is under a huge fire, the old madam said there was very strong evil spirit inside that house that has been deceiving Helena, therefore we have to eliminate it by burning the house.

And when Helena came she can’t stop herself not to be sad on the way Helena react. It seems like the person she was conversing with, is now very important to her. For her to cry a river.

“Helena stop crying, i’m only doing this for your own good, no one is inside Helena, i saw it myself. You have been talking to an evil spirit all along, don’t let him deceive you.” Adrianna just hug Helena.

“that is not true, please spade is still inside i saw him , please Adrianna stop them. Please.”

“shhh, that’s enough.”

She just continue to hug Helena until she became stable.

Weeks later.

Adrianna look at the empty seat that Helena supposedly sitting but it’s not occupied. She is worried since Helena doesn’t went to school anymore and she barely going out on her dorm. Adrianna doesn’t know why but she began to care to Helena after that day. Maybe because she already saw Helena on her worst state.

Adrianna decide to consult Helena to Psychologist and there she found out that the Spade that Helena is talking about is just a product of her imagination, Spade doesn’t really exist in this world. He was just Helena’s Imaginary Friend.

While looking at Helena right now and also recalling what the doctor have said she realize that she has fault also, only if she did not bully Helena and let her have her own set of friends maybe she won’t be undergoing this kind of depression.

“Helena, i just want to say my sorry. I know i’ve been a bad person to you since day 1” she said, she don’t know if Helena could hear her or not since she seems like physically present but mentally absent, Helena only look at the window of her room without saying a word.

“I know it’s all my fault and I’m not expecting you to forgive me. And im sorry also if you think i kill Spade, but Helena believe me, no one is inside i look it myself no one is there. And I—“ Adrianna did not finished what she about to say when Helena spoke.

“it’s okay Adrianna” she look at her with a teary eyes. “ you don’t have to apologize to me, it wasn’t your fault. I just could not believe it , that the guy i love is just a product of my Imagination, that he is not real, that no matter what i do i could not see or hug him anymore, it hurts , Adrianna it hurts so much.” Then Helena begin to cry again but now she has someone she could lean on.

Adrianna immediately hug Helena and let her cry on her shoulder.

“it’s okay, im here Helena. I won’t let you be alone from now on” she said,

“r-really?”

“yeah. Well i just found out that you are not that bad, and also i learn my lesson, so i sincerely apologize for everything i have done to you. Will you forgive me?” she said to Helena.

“sure, but in exchange can we be friends?” Helena said to her, damn she could not believe that she used to hate a pure and kind girl like Helena before. Adrianna was so ashamed of herself.

“more like i want us to be sisters.” then she smile at Helena.

That was the day they start to see each other as sisters who always there to protect each other.

At the end of the school year, Helena became the School Valedictorian while Adrianna became a Salutatorian Adrianna was so happy for Helena and her achievement.

And because they became so close to each other, they decided to went to the same college together.

Chapter 3:

1 year later.

Adrianna is busy looking for a book in their huge library, she is on the 3rd floor but then she still could not find the book she is looking for. Being a political Science students is very hard and tiring.

“where the heck was that book? Don’t tell that librarian is stupid enough leading me in a wrong direction?” she said to herself while scanning the book title in the shelf.

And when she spot the right book , she was about touch it when a manly hand touch it before hers. Damn!

Adrianna was so irritated because she is sure she has to argue to this person just for this book. She closed her eyes and ready to argue to the person.

“look, i saw it fi...” she did not finish her lines when she saw who is the other person who got his hand on the book.

Why of all the people, why him?

“Adam, .” She said while looking to the familiar guy. He is Prince Adam Nicholas Gonzaga Lancaster a Crown Prince from Denmark. He is Adrianna’s classmate in some of her subject , the prince is also taking up Political Science so she is not surprise that he needs this book too.

“Adrianna.” The Prince said, while looking straight at her. She doesn’t like the way Adam look at her, it seems like she was being hypnotize by those deep blue eyes of him.

Adrianna look at the book they both touches.

“umm do you need this book? You see I’ve been looking that for ages and i really need it. If it’s okay for you can you just lend that to me first?” she said, she has to finish her papers this evening so that she and Helena can go out this week end.

“we are classmates you know, i also need this as much as you do.” She took a deep breath, he is a prince he has to excel , looks like he badly needs it.

“fine, you can have it, just put it there when you finish i’ll just get it when you are done.” She was about to walk out when Adam said something.

“you know how strict our professor regarding about deadline right? Are you sure you can answer those questions in time? “ he said that makes Adrianna think again.

“what about let’s just do our assignment together so that we can share the book?” he Suggested. Adrianna look at him confusedly.

“what? Don’t you like being alone with me? If it’s not okay with you i won’t..”

“it’s fine, it’s fine with me y-your highness? Am i correct?” Adam just smile at her , and those smile caught Adrianna off guard.

He always saw Adam but he seldom smile to anyone. This is the first time she saw him smile.

“don’t call me that, we are both students here.” He said then walk ahead of her with the book on his hand.

Adrianna immediately catch up on him. “should i bow down to you whenever i see you?” she said, but then the guy did not answer her again.

“what the heck!!! Why are we here?” shock is visible on Adrianna’s voice when she learn the fact where they will study together.

“idiot, it’s against the rule to bring your opposite sex in your room are you aware of that?” she shouted Adam, well as you know the Idiot Prince just brought her in his room.

And it’s against the University Rule to bring someone your opposite sex in your room.

“can you stop shouting? Your voice will be the death of me, and if you don’t like to get caught, keep your mouth shut.” He said, she could not believe it.

“damn this, “ Adrianna don’t know what to think, will she go out and went to her dorm or just stay and answer the damn assignment?

“make yourself at home, i’ll just change clothes, you can answer right away if you like.” He said and went to his room right away, their room is huge there is only one inside , looks like Adam has no roommate here.

The room is so manly to the point that only black and white color can be spot on.

Adrianna just shake her head and begin to open her notes and answer her assignment.

She just finished the 2nd question when Adam went out from its room and sat on the chair that is opposite to her.

“the topic in question number 1 is on page 234.” She said while her eyes us still on her paper.

Adam just look and smile at her, seeing how hard working she is.

“tell me Adrianna, why did you took Political Science?” Adam ask her, she did not bother to look at him since she is busy writing and the thoughts is overflowing in her brain.

“my father insisted me, but it is okay i learned to love this program in other way.”

“i see, it sucks right, being controlled by your parents.” This time she look at Adam and Adrianna saw a rare emotion she hardly see in Adam. Sadness.

“yeah,” she doesn’t want to bother in Adam’s business but she can’t stop to ask why.

“was it hard? To be a Prince?” she ask.

“not really, but then if i were to be chosen i just wanted to be a normal citizen. Being a prince means more responsibility, you have to be responsible enough for your subject, just one mistake , one little mistake and it could affect your people, just how hard is that right?” Adrianna could not believe Adam is telling her that.

“How can they say, you’ll be a great King someday, you should do this, you should do that.

Were in fact how can i be responsible to my people if i can’t even be responsible

enough to myself.” He continued. She can see the frustration on Adam’s eye. Was it really hard to be a prince? And here she thought that being a royalty is great since you can have everything you want.

“well, you cannot give what you don’t have. Right?” she said to Adam.

“you are right.”

“gosh, what number am i?” she freak out when saw that she is not half finish with her assignment.

“come on don’t talk to me i have to finish this.”

“haha, fine, fine,”

“last question.” Adam said.

“shoot it.” She said without glancing Adam.

“can i court you?” she didn’t know why, but her pen stop working when she heard Adam said those words.
