"Miracle!" Luz yelled, "Sending your only daughter away to some prison is a miracle?!"
"It's not a prison, hija, it's a summer camp. Luz I-" Luz's mom, Camila, said calmly. "No, a summer camp is a fun place. With spooky stories next to a warm fire while stuffing your face with s'mores. Not some stupid prison where you learn how to, and I quote, "Think inside the box!" Luz interrupted.
"Luz, I know that you don't want to go but it's for your own good. It's a miracle that your principal didn't expel you after your previous little stunts." Camila continued. A few days ago, Luz had gotten in trouble for bringing snakes and fireworks to school for her book report. And a couple days before, she got in trouble for a so-called spider infestation from her Griffin Statue. As for the other stunts, they were just times when Luz was being her weird, class clown self. But of course that didn't matter now since she was being sent to a summer camp for kids who needed a reality check.
"Oh come on they weren't that bad," Luz said rolling her eyes, "It's not my fault that the school can't take a joke." Camilla sighed, "Hija, it's getting late and I don't want to argue with you about this, but it's already been decided, your going to the summer camp whether you like it or not. And that's final." Camilla then stood up from the couch and went upstairs to her bedroom. Luz's hands formed into a fist. She couldn't believe it. How could her mom do this to her. "Dad would have never made me go..." Luz mumbled, "And neither will you." Luz then headed for the door and left. Since you want to get rid of me so bad, I'll save you the trouble and just leave myself.
As Luz walked in the rain, she couldn't help but wonder, Why am I like this? Why am I so weird? Why can't I just be normal? But her thoughts were soon interrupted by a loud car horn. Luz quickly turned around. A car had lost control and was coming towards her. Luz tried to get out of the way but the car was too quick. CRASH!
When Luz opened her eyes, she was surrounded by a field of red grass. She looked around trying to make sense of what just happened, but couldn't because of what she saw before her.
"Where the **** am I?!" Luz said. "This is hell kid." A voice said behind her. Luz turned, "Hell?!"
"Yep...
Welcome to Hell..."
