Vikram and betal is based on "betal pichisi", it's written in 11th century by kasmiri poet Somdev Bhatt.

LET'S START THE STORY 😉🙂

king Vikramaditya goes to a tree and grabbed the betala in his arms piggy back him and in a high speed he walked towards smasana( a buried ground) .then betal say- king! now i am going to tell you a other story , listen carefully.

Swarna desha's( golden contry) king was very strong and popular.and he has four beautiful daughters. they are very soft, sensitive and delicate.the first daughter is like if she walked out of the room in the full moon day then she might be getting redness and alergy reaction in her body. the second daughter's body is this much soft that if anyone through her a rose flower, then that part of the body is get buried.third girl is this much sensitive that if anyone talked loudly to her , then she got unconscious.and if anyone touch the fourth girl's then that part of the body is get scar for some time.

This four beautiful princess 's softness and sensitiveness know and popular in the world.if anyone heard, they get shock 😲. However many Prince wants to marry them. four of them had their own personal servent to take care of them. one of them a servent is very kind. when ever if she saw any beggar then if she have any thing in her hands, she gives them all.every day she donated any kind of thing.

For their own softness and sensitiveness they always wear light weight dresses.and wear s low weight jwellery.however that is very weight for them.

one day the kind hearted servent is going out side and in jwellery her hands. in the road side she was saw a beggar.in her hands he saw the jwellery and said- maa!(it's mother but madam in in this story) my daughter 's wedding is near, and she doesn't have any jwellery.if you donated something, then God will bless you.

when she heard the words in her soft heart kind personality. she donated the jwellery and come to the palace in empty hand. when king saw her comes with empty hand he gets very angry and furious.and he get her out of the house.

Time skip and few days after in swarna desha's a doctor comes to the king. and king discuss with the doctor about his daughters.

Their sensitiveness was also discussed by them.and then they asked who is most soft and sensitive?

he said - Your majesty! i smile about their sensitiveness.

START WITH THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER

He said- Your majesty! I was laughing hearing this gentle talk.

The king said- you can't treat the most tender among the infidels? The physician refused and left.

So king Vikramaditya ! you judge this time,did the physician say wrong or right ? who was the most gentle of all the princesses ? what does your judgement say ?

Vikramaditya said after hearing the nonsense - among these four princesses, no one was gentle. For this reason the physician refused to treat them.

Betal said - then on what basis did you say that ?

The king said - Look, the softness of the mind and heart is more than the softness of the body.

Therefore, that kind maid was the one with the softest heart. That is why I consider her to be soft. If the mind and heart is not soft, what will the softness of the body do ? for this reason the doctor refused to treat. This is my opinion.

Betal remained silent for some time.Then , laughing,he went up the tree again and bent down like before.

Betala said - There was a glorious king named Bhadrasen in Punyapura . He was also a scholar and a wise man . His praises were heard every where . Time are not always the same . As the king grew older , he was immersed in luxury . He put his kingship in the hands of the minister and pleased (immersed in) himself . Bhadrasen 's minister suyash was very intelligent . seeing the plight of the king, he became very worried .He explain to the king many times . Then the king wanted to spend the last days of his life in luxury .

There come a time when the king took the beautiful wife of one of his courtiers as his concubine . The minister became more worried about this incident .

One day the minister 's wife said to him - Look , how long will you live in such a disgrace ?

Rather,it would be better to leave here with the burden of pilgrimage . You will be saved from this infamy in the pit . The minister accepted his wife proposal and told the king - the king also agree to his words . The king appointed a new minister in place of minister suyash. The new minister started a conspiracy to dethrone the king. the people began to revolt because the king would indulge in luxury . on this occasion, the minister took over the kingdom and axpelled the king from the country . Hearing this news , suyash was very saddened. He did not bother to come back to the kingdom anymore. insted he went to visit more places of pilgrimage .

Thus he went on a pilgrimage and reached Rameswaram in the south. he stopped at a shrine there.when he went to take a bath before sunrise, he saw a strange sight and stop .He saw a tree coming out of the sea .Then a beautiful young woman sitting on it, seeing her form , the minister suyash become enamored.

Suyash saw that a tree had come out of the sea. A beautiful young woman is sitting on it, seeing her appearance, the minister was bewildered.The

young woman also smiled and then she merged with the tree into the sea. Suyash saw this scene and went home and told his wife. The next morning he went there again and saw that the young woman came out of the sea with that tree . she started laughing and seeing suyash . Suyash could not stand still . he swam away and went to that tree . Then he went to the beautiful young woman and sat down . The beautiful young woman shot the seduction arrow and took him as her own . After giving his identity , suyash asked for the identity of the beautiful young lady . She said - "I live in under the sea . But the people of the earth are my favourite".

Then suyash left for patal pur (under the soil) with that beautiful young lady . There the girl was drowning in the pleasure with him .He also forgot about his wife . A few days passed like this .One day the maiden said to suyash - "Now i am happy with my full of heart . you can go back to your kingdom ." After hearing that , suyash was deeply saddened . He did not agree with her . The

Naga Kanya (snake girl) threw him out of the sea.

After coming out of the sea , suyash learned that his wife had waited for him a long time and finally committed suicide . Hearing that , suyash broke down in grief . Finally he went mad . and then he died.

Betal said - will that snake girl be punished for suyash 's death ?

Vikramaditya said - The snake girl is the completely inocent person . why should she be punished ? Because suyash had first hand experience in the first place . couldn't he learnt from his king that pleasure are so painful ? Apart from that , the person who cannot learn anything from other ' s life and do the same mistake again then he will suffer the punishment like this . suyash himself irresponsible for the death of his wife and his own accident . No one is to blame for this . After saying this , king Vikramaditya remained silent .

At that time betal laughed loudly and said - king, you have judged correctly . Having said this , He again went to that tree and fell down .

( NOTE --- When king Vikramaditya released a saint , he went to the forest to bring betal with him . And asked betal to come with him to that saint . betal kept condition and saying - i will tell some stories on the way . but don't eve open your mouth until you reach your destination .If you spoke in between then i will come back to the tree again and you have to bring me back with you again and again like this . Hearing this , king Vikramaditya said - As long as you do not refused to come with me . Until then , no matter how many times you return to that tree , i am ready to bring you back .At that time betal said will tell you some stories and asked some questions at the end .if you can't answer my questions , then i will chope of your head bit by bit .)
