***The Masquerade Kiss***

CHAPTER ONE

Have you ever expected or atleast wished for having a romance like in novels?.

I, Yuri never in my whole life expected to be noticed and loved by a popular, hottest guy ( literally A HUNK )at my whole school. Things have changed in my life due to him. Due to our meet. Due to thesophomore masquerade.

Now let's talk about me, I am Yuri an ordinary high schooler. It's not like I am so popular at school nor am i so unpopular and unnoticed at school, I just mingle with everyone, not really with everyone but with those who accept me for being myself ( they don't care about my status, ranks and other stuffs but just care about the true me ), not with those arrogant high-class, rich person ( who totally care about status to befriend).

My best-est friend is linda, she is rich but not arrogant. Linda doesn't have the attitude that all rich students share by their blood, she is simply simple and is true to me. I like her so much, we do be there for each other at our saddest time, grimmest time , happiest time, and like everytime. We have been bestie's for years till now.

I never had in my life time got a invitation to a grand party or get together. But at my sophomore year, now..... I got an invitation to a royal (well 'royal' is only to me, i guess) masquerade, not only me but all the students who belong to my same grade.

Surprisingly the Masquerade theme party is being arranged by the school hunk, Ruki.... Ruki black, the only son of karl black and Nina black. He was born and fed with a silver spoon since he's their only son.

The RKN corporation is the leading company in the whole Paris. The RKN corporation was named after the first letter of Ruki, Karl and Nina black. I never thought that such a ice faced, handsome, play boy to host a masquerade and that every student is invited.

They say Ruki isn't well sociable with other prosperous women's but was forced to maintain 'a relationship' with them as he is the next heir. They call Ruki black as a 'Black angel',born from heaven with such a innocent, handsome face that could melt every girl's heart. Well, I and Linda am not one of them, we don't think he's handsome, .....I hope.

" Yuri, what are you doing???. Aren't you getting ready for the masquerade?? We have a lot to do like facial, pedicure,manicure, a full pack of makeup, fitting into a elegant and beautiful dress, and last but not the least a crescent and

sun mask!!!!. Oh! and Ruki is gonna be there, you know the Dark angel , OH god, just kill me already but after meeting him, god." Linda said.

I still don't get how could she speak this much with so much exclamations, without breathing at all.

So my predictions were wrong , Linda's heart got melted by Ruki just like other girls out there.

"well... I think I couldn't make it " I said. Dull.

"Why?????" She asked me in awe.

" I just don't think this is gonna work out for me. You know right, I don't really like these Richie's and their acts." I explained.

"C'mon, Ruki is not like them."

" I just... Just..... Don't wanna meet those arrogant students " I said.

"Oh!" Linda groaned. She quickly closed the space between us and she hugged me,warm and gave me a reassuring smile. I smiled back which was a bit dry.

"Yuri, did you forget that it is a masquerade?"

"No, so what?"

"Fool. Masquerade means that 'you are not you'. Everyone wears a mask to hide their identity. It's a perfect chance for us to get a sweet romance." said Linda, making prefect sense.

"Yeah, right." I muttered .

" You in??" Linda questioned me

" Hell yeah." I said with my opinion about the Masquerade totally changed. We hugged again but this time due to excitement.

Linda gave me our 'Dab' , it's a symbolic representation meaning 'go for it, girl!!!". Our dab is simply placing our fist near our chest and tapping it two times and finally releasing our fist into the mid-air with total encouragement. We had been

doing our dab for years.

I let out a heavy breath. "Go for it Yuri, it's your night." I encouraged myself even more.

" Yuri there are only three hours more, it won't buy us enough time." Linda exclaimed.

Oh, seems like I forgot to mention Linda and I are roommate's at the school's dorm.

"Lin, it's three hours! Won't it buy us enough time?"

"well.... Let's get ready, then!" said Linda still with the same excitement as before.

I am a bit curious about this masquerade now, I am curious about how students would disguise themselves, curious about whether I will find my sweet romance and what not.

Hours passed. It's 5:30 now, a perfect time for Sight- seeing

the sun setting. Me and Linda have finished our disguise.

Before a hour ago, I didn't have a perfect dress to wear to the masquerade then Linda surprisingly bought me a custom-made dress. I was surprised as Linda never depended on her family to help me out , this is her first time depending on them for me. I couldn't bare to get the dress from her. I stared at her.

"What?" asked Linda.

"Did you depend on your family to get me this dress?" I questioned Linda. Not of fury but of concern.

"Hey! Yeah but No" she said.

"I don't get it ? It's a simple Yes or No question, what do you mean by yes but no?" I said still very concerned.

"Hey! She's kinda like my family. She just gave me these dress for the masquerade, but don't worry I really didn't accept this but just

borrowed it. I promised her that I would returnthis back." Linda explained

"Who is 'she'?" I questioned her again.

"You'll get to know after the masquerade" said Linda and hurried me to try that beautiful, Golden, brilliant long frock, well it wasn't really a frock but a long fancy wear that you would wear at a banquet or something.

I came out changed into the beautiful banquet wear. Linda look at me in awe.

" Perfect. Beautiful. Awesome.And.... And ... I don't know what to say, you are

totally gorgeous." Linda exclaimed.

" Hey you don't have to say that" I said in embarrassment.

" You're gonna totally rock it, my girl" Linda said and dragged me to wear my golden sun mask.

"It's perfect and totally matching your dress" said Linda. What she said is true the golden dress matches well with this golden sun mask.

"Let's go" said Linda. "yeah" I agreed with her.

CHAPTER TWO

The masquerade took place in the auditorium, which was not far from my dorm. Me and linda walked to the auditorium. When we opened the huge doors of the auditorium, we were welcomed by two handsome waiters.

Linda went to the peak of excitement just by seeing those handsome waiters welcoming us. We proceeded in .

As we went in further I noticed hundreds of students enjoying their masquerade. I could see a lot of couples, some were flirting with each other while some were dancing. The atmosphere was soothing.

Linda quickly left me alone and was flirting with a boy. I was isolated and alone. That was when a hand stretched out to me, I was damn surprised by that guy.

"Would you honour me to dance with you, my lady?" He said and kissed my hand.

"Um.... S-sure." I accepted his proposal.

He took my hands gently and placed his hands around my hips. He was kinda handsome. I could feel the electric waves passing through every nerve of mine. He was like an angel pulling me out of my enclosed world.

I could feel him, very much when we danced and I could sense that he could feel me too. We played with our toes, we swirled and swirled and swirled around as we danced.

He wore an crescent- moon mask, a bit similar to my sun mask. We matched to each other perfectly. And then the moment that I don't want to come to an end came, the dance was off already.

I wished it could last longer, i wished he could stay with me for some more time. We bowed to each other and was leaving but he stopped me and asked if I could spend some time with him.

I accepted the offer without a second thought. He dragged me to a quite place out of the auditorium. We were under the moon, his skin shining under moonlight.

His eyes pierced through mine, seeing everything of me. He came closer to me, closing the little bit space between us.

He closed his eyes, his lips searching mine. I closed my eyes and offered him my lips. Our lips met and kissed each other.

It was gentle kiss but the gentle feeling was fading away and was accompanied by a feel of hunger for each other. We kissed like a thousand times, the feeling too increases a thousand times with each of our kisses.

Our kisses were breath taking, passionate,hungry, and .... and was filled with everything that I know and I don't.

We parted after minutes, both of us breathless. I thought that anything could happen tonight, but I had to control myself.

I lost my first kiss to him, to an unknown guy but every ounce of my mind said that he wanted me just like I desired for me. But we both couldn't feed our wild desire.

" I think it's time " we both said at the same time. We Burst out of laughter. But there was silence again. I hate this silence.

We ,together went back to the auditorium but on the way back he asked me a question. The question that I didn't want him to ask and wanted him to ask.

" what is your name?" he asked. I wanted to answer but I couldn't. I let my face down when he asked me that question. He understood it and tried to encourage me.

" Hey you don't have to say if you don't want to" he said.

" No it's not like I don't want to .... But.... I simply couldn't." I said in a dull voice.

" Why couldn't you?" he asked me. Yeah why couldn't I, am I afraid that I would disappoint him if we finds me by my name.

"I-" someone interrupted when I was about to say my name.

" Hey guys head to the auditorium." someone shouted.

" Why?" the guy with me shouted back.

" They say that there is an important notice" .

" seems like we have to go" he said to me in his gentle voice.

" We're coming" he shouted back. After that student heard his voice he went back to the auditorium.

"Wait" I said to the guy with me.

CHAPTER THREE

"wait" I said to the guy with me.

"Yeah?"

"Well... With your permission can I call you with some nickname or any other name ?"

" Yeah you could. You can call me 'Dark angel' " he said.

"What?" I cried out in surprise.

" Hey. I was kidding" he laughed.

I liked his laugh though I couldn't see his face, I could recognize his expression.

A sudden wind Blew making his pitch-dark hair wave along with the it. Again the same guy called us. Ugh, seriously he spoils the mood.

"Seems like we definitely have to go now" he said.

" Yeah" I gave him my best smile. He took my hands as we headed

towards the auditorium.

When we entered the auditorium, we separated and went on our own ways. I could see him joining his friends, He turned and took a glance of me. I smiled at him and he returned me my smile. I headed towards Linda who was flirting with a guy.

" Hey! Lin." I waved to her.

She was totally drunk. Linda has a very low alcohol tolerance, just a glass could

make her wild drunk. I glanced at the guy who she was flirting with.

" Um.. Thanks for taking care of her, I gotta take her with me now." I said to that guy.

His figure was thin, like a little boy. He took off his mask. Oh my god! He is totally

cute.

" Will she be fine?" he asked me.

"Yeah, totally" I assured him. I could see a lot of concern for her in his cute, puppy face.

" Don't worry." I said to him.

"Hmm.." he said without realizing what I said.

"What?" he said totally blushed. Seems like he realized what I said now.

" What's your name?" I asked him. I never thought Linda prefers a cute type of boy.

" Kiro is my name" he replied.

"Cool name." I said . "Then I gotta take this drunkard to the dorm." I said and waved him a good bye.

Hope he could be in our class, he's totally into Linda. Hmm... It would be nice if that guy was there in my class also.

The students classes are not decided yet as we are just back from our summer vacation. When I was filled with my thoughts, a lady approached me.

" D-dean!?" I said out of surprise.

" Is Linda okay?" she asked.

"Yeah" I said to her. She let out a sigh.

" But may I-" she Interrupted me.

" I know what you are going to ask. Linda is my relative. I am Linda's aunt." she said. Woah! Linda didn't mention about her to me. Wait... Was Dean the

one who gave Linda the set of clothes?.

"I..." I hesitated to ask.

" Shoot it" she said.

" Did you give Linda these clothes for the masquerade?" I asked.

" Yeah. And Yuri please take a good care of Linda, for me." said the Dean. She looked very concerned about Linda, more like a mother to her. Someone called out for the Dean. She rushed but turned back towards me and

repeated again.

" Take a good care of Linda, Yuri" she said and rushed towards the voice

that called her.

" I will make sure of it." I muttered.

I headed towards the dorm, and helped Linda to walk.

"See, whose drunk?" someone said. It's her again, I will punch her face someday.

" What do you want, Clarie?" I asked her.

"I don't understand why the hell Linda befriends you, after all" she smirked.

"Mind your words" I warned her.

Clarie is the school's Belle. She is popular, arrogant, and everything that I don't like. Every students think she is beautiful ,but I think she is the ugliest person I have ever seen in this world. She doesn't respect anyone, She was born rich and

arrogant. The reason I hate most of the rich students is due to her and her so called followers. Students obey's her, if she say a lie and try to prove it true every one supports her. I hate all those who don't be themselves and always be her shadow. Me and Linda experienced everything that we shouldn't by her.
