("You're all welcomed here to the prestigious college... We've been waiting for you all", said the Principal, welcoming all the students starting their 1st day.

"We hope that you'll work hard and achieve all your dreams".

An announcement was received.

"And now.. please proceed to your classes, the timetable's given to you on your phones, please check it".)

It was posted on the Instagram page of the college.

"How can I be late on the first day!", said I, running towards my classroom.

"I don't even know about the teachers here".

(By the way... I'm studying Engineering.)

I was running late!! 2 hours late...

I mean why can't I be on time...

huh...

One of my seniors told me that the time of college was 1:15 pm and the actual time was 10:30 pm...

Ahhhhhh...

Forget it.. at least I reached...

I entered the classroom with all the new faces staring at me.

"Mechanical Branch?", I asked.

"Yes.. " few of them answered.

I saw 2 girls sitting on the first bench staring at me with an annoyed face...

"I'm never gonna be friends with them!!" I thought.

There were a lot... a lot.. guys in my class...

Mechanical...

A guy sitting behind me asked my name and wanted me to join a social media group in class.

I said, "Okay.. sure add me to that group."

The class started and It was our Concrete Lab that day... So we all went to the lab and I talked to a guy frankly.. somehow we became friends.. not that close... but just talked.

We took a group selfie because it was our first official day.

I came home...

A few days went by, and I thought, "Is something wrong with me? Can't they make me their friend?"

I haven't talked much to any of the students in my class...

Then one day... something happened, and I started talking about some stationary items in our social media group.

"I think you brought the wrong file", received a notification.

" Now who is he?", I thought.

I haven't replied to him...

Then after some time, I talked to him, because I took him as the wrong person.

"Oh... I'm sorry. I thought you were someone else so I didn't reply." I said.

"It's okay," he replied.

And I went doing something...

One of the girls who was sitting on the first bench changed her domain.

And the other one was left.

I became friends with her. I know I know, I promised I won't ever be her friend... But I don't know why... Well.. let bygones be bygones.

Everything was going great... I talked to many students in class...

Then...

There's this guy... who messaged me about the wrong file, his name is, 'August'.

So he's really confusing...

Sometimes he's all happy, cheerful and talkative like he's a really good friend of mine and then...

behaves like I'm a stranger... I don't understand him at all...

And one day, I messaged him.

"You're so confusing, I don't understand," I said.

"Slow friendships, last longer. I'm just taking my time to fit in.. don't worry", he replied.

" Oh.. okay", said I.

And I started doing my work.

Oh oh!!

How can I forget about him.. the guy I talked to in the lab that day... was already August's friend.

His name's 'Luke'.
