The Fairy In The Garden
Ali
It's past ten and I still can't seem to fall asleep.
He stared at the moon silently for a minute.
Ali
Every day is the same.
Ali
The time seems to be passing so slowly, I have nothing to do.
Ali finished his exams and was on a summer break.
He visited his grandma and decided to live with her for the time being, since he had holidays.
Ali
I thought it would be different if I were to stay at grandma's house.
Ali
But nothing has changed, it's still as boring as ever.
He was looking at the garden through his window until he noticed something shining in the bushes.
He wanted to figure out what it was, so he walked out of the house without making any noise.
He searched the bushes where he saw something shining and found a fairy plucking flowers.
Ali was so astonished that he couldn't utter a word. After a minute or two, the fairy noticed him staring at her.
Fairy
(Can he see me?..no that can't be!) A-Are you looking at me?
Ali
Y-yeah..? I can't believe fairies exist. This is quite surprising..

This can't be happening!
Humans have never been able to see us.. unless you are..
Fairy
(Perhaps I'm over thinking.)
Ali
What do you mean? Why can't humans see you?
Ali
(Everything seems so queer today.)
Fairy

Ali
who are you anyway? what are you doing in the garden?
Nancy
I'm Nancy, I was plucking flowers for decoration. I hope you won't mind..
He looks at her sparkly wings.
Ali
Can I touch them..? they look quite fascinating.
Nancy
It's so rude to ask a fairy to touch her wings, don't u dare touch them!
Ali
My bad, I didn't mean to offend you.
Nancy looks at the clock in Ali's room.
Nancy
Oh dear, I'm going to be late. I must hurry up.
Before Ali could finish his sentence, Nancy rushed into the forest.

Ali went back to his room and fell asleep.
The next day when he woke up, he thought the whole conversation he had with the fairy last night was a dream.
He took a bath and helped his grandma in the kitchen.
He ate bread with butter and drank a glass of warm milk.
He headed out to water the plants.
He noticed that few flowers were plucked out.
Ali
The dream felt too real..
He couldn't stop thinking about it the whole day.
Before going to bed, he looked into the garden through the window wondering if it had appear again if it was real.
Ali
Will I see the fairy again?
Ali
What am I even thinking, that was just a dream.
To his surprise it did appear and this time the fairy was looking for him.
Nancy
I finally found you!
Nancy
By the way, you haven't told me your name yet.
Nancy
Alright Ali, I need you to come with me, our queen wants to see you.
Ali
Huh? you have a queen? Well..why does your Highness wants to see me?
Ali
(This all seems so strange.. am I dreaming again?)
Ali
Ouch, that hurts. I guess it isn't a dream after all.
Nancy
Hurry up, I have no time to explain!
Ali
Where are we heading to?
Nancy
