Let's Try Love Again
Prologue
Love is something that is almost impossible to understand.
Some people turn a blind eye to it and runs away from it, some runs towards it but never receives it and some is embraced by it, holding unto it so tight, like it is the only thing that matters.
Love, from my point of view is overrated, and I didn't think it was that interesting after all that have happened with past lovers and tried to call it ‘Love’ but ever since I met you my views.... my opinions slowly changed overtime.
Though I haven't quite understand the concept of love and how it all works, I know that love is not what I thought it was.
Now I am proud to say this as I keep my head up high-
Jess
Let's try love again.
Maybe this time it won't result in my suffering. Maybe this time I may finally understand how it works.
Breakup
Nathan finally arrived at the coffee shop and sat down by the table where Jess is waiting for her.
Nathan
What is it? What do you want?
Jess fiddled with her fingers before saying-
Jess
I want to break up with you.
Nathan
Why? What's the reason?
Jess
Nathan, you know why I want to break up with you.
Nathan
Oh.... That is reason? You are so selfish and never think about others. Fine let's break up, and I never want to see you again.
After Nathan said that he left. People in the coffee shop muttered to each other trying to figure out what could have happened in their relationship for him to act like this.
Jess trudged back to her apartment where she got some beer and began drinking before sitting down and staring at her phone.
Jess pressed call, and he instantly picked up.
Jess
I need you here right now.
Best friend
???
Where are you? Are you at home?
Jess could hear him on the phone, sprinting up the stairs. Then she heard him puting the password for the door and opened it.
He ran to Jess and asked-
???
What happened? Are you ok?
Jess
Calm down Jason, I'm fine. I just wanted to talk to you.
Jason
Don't scare me like that. I thought you're boyfriend did something to you again. You should break up with him already.
Jason
Finally, why did you stay with him for that long if he treated you like that?
Jason
Now you could forget about him and find someone better.
Jess
No Jason, I am tired of dating.
Jason looked at him with pain in his eyes as he said-
Jason
Oh... Alright, I understand.
Jess
Why do you look so sad? I'll be fine especially with such an amazing best friend like you.
Jason forced a smile on his face as he said-
