Hi! My name is Amy. Today I am very happy. The dream which I cherished for a long time is finally coming true. Do you want to hear what that is? I will tell you but before telling you that I want to tell you a story. The story of my life. I want to tell you about the struggle and miseries that I have to overcome to see this day. And also about the person who is the main reason for my happiness. His name is Sonson Lee. My friend, my love, my support, my everything. Our story began since the time of our birth. My mother and his mother were best friends. They were best friend since their school days. Through them, we came to know each other. Though we were also best friends in our childhood, those happy days didn't last long. We had to be parted for many years for our cruel fortune. But now, by the blessing of the Almighty, we have overcome all our obstacles and are able to be reunited. We all now live in M city at Zinland. Till now I have been living with my father and mother but from today I am going to start a new life for which I am very excited. I already told you that our story; the story of me and Sonson; started from the time of our birth. Coincidently we both came to this world on the same day. He is only one hour older than me. So, our story began from the time of my birth.

I was a premature baby at the time of my birth. I was born two months earlier than the due date. I heard from my mother that when I was born the persons who were present at my delivery thought that I was dead. I didn't cry or move a little. The doctor even couldn't find my pulse. My family was very disheartened. Doctors already announced my death. My mother was holding me tightly and was weeping. But father was trying to control my mother but as I was her first baby she couldn't accept the cruel truth. At that time Mommy Lea; my mother's best friend and Sonson's mother; came to see me and my mother with Sonson in her arms. But miraculously just when they entered our cabin I started to cry. Seeing me crying, everybody was very surprised. Then the nurse quickly gave me oxygen and fortunately, I survived. Everyone was very happy, especially the two mothers. I heard from my mother that at that time she felt like God had sent an angel to protect her happiness. In such a dramatic way I first met with Sonson.

As Amy was a premature baby she had to stay in ventilation for 1 month with her mother, Diana. In this period aunt Lea sometimes came to see them with Sonson. After one month Amy was discharged from hospital. Her father, Harry came to take them home. Harry is the CEO of Xurex company. It was a well known company in M city for making cars. Amy’s mother was a manager in a well known Hotel. Amy was their first baby.

Amy was very cute and adorable. She had a pair of big purple eyes with long eyelashes which always twinkled like stars. There was always a smile on her face. She had chubby cheeks and a fair skin. Who ever had once seen her wanted to take her on his or her lap or at least wanted to touch her cheeks.

At five pm Amy’s father came to take them home. After completing all the formalities they all got in the car. Harry and Diana were very happy as they could take their little princess home at last. At seven pm they reached their destination. At home Lea, Andrew, Lea’s husband, and Sonson were waiting to receive them. They lived in the same neighborhood as Amy’s. It only took 2 minutes to go to Sonson’s house. All of them decorated the house with colorful balloons. There were also some other relatives and friends of Harry and Diana. All of them cheered Diana for giving birth to such an adorable daughter. Diana was also surprised to see them as she had no idea of this party.

There were a lot of tasty foods and drinks for the guests. All of them congratulate Harry and Diana. After some time Diana and Lea sat together in a quiet place and were gossiping. Diana was recalling about the past one year; how hard it was for her. She had to go to work every day till the seven month of her pregnancy.

"I never imagined things would be that hard. Sometimes I had to work overtime. Then I felt really exhausted. Sometimes I wanted to resign and went to our country home. Did you remember?"Diana said to Lea.

“How can I forget? Did you remember that night when it was raining cats and dogs? We couldn’t even contract you. Harry was too tense. He contacted the hotel management but they told that you already left the hotel a long time ago. Then after 5 hours you finally came back home.” said Lea. “Sorry for worrying all of you that much. Especially you, a cute chubby woman.” Saying this Diana started laughing.

Lea is always too conscious about her figure and beauty. She didn’t like it if anyone called her fat. So she tried to protest.

“I was never too fat. That time I was pregnant. So you can’t tease me like this. By the way you never told me what happened that night. That night you were looking really afraid and were crying for a long time. Did something bad happen to you that night? You always tell me that you will tell me everything at the right time. When will that time come?” Lea said in a curious tone.

Hearing this Diana looked paled. Her heart started aching.

“Lea, you are my best friend. So don’t worry, one day I will surely tell you everything. Actually this is something that you have to know. But please just wait till the right time comes and please don’t ask any further questions about that incident. It just tortures me remembering that incident.” Diana replied in a sad tone.

After this a silence broke out between them. Both of them lost in their own thoughts. One was thinking what Diana was hiding from everyone and the other was thinking how that incident would destroy the peaceful life of her friend. But none of them knew what tragedy was waiting for both of them which might shatter all the relationships around them.

10 years ago,

Lea was the youngest daughter of the Feng family, one of the most reputed and famous families of S city. She had two elder brothers. As the youngest and the only daughter of the family, she was always adored by all. Since childhood, nobody ever prohibited her or never stopped her from doing anything. Her father always fulfilled her all demands though he was a very tough and strict man. She was the apple of everyone's eye.

While reading in XZX High School Lea first met with Diana. But at first, they do not like each other much. As the daughter of a rich family, Lea was a little bit spoiled. She was very much stubborn. If she decided anything she had to do that at any cost. She liked parties and hangouts with friends very much and for these characteristics, she had a lot of friends. Though most of them just stay beside her side only for her money and power. On the contrary, Diana was a simple girl who liked quietness. She had a few friends but they always tried to stay beside her. She was a good student and always tried to help others. The teachers also liked her because of this. But this made Lea very much envious. Lea was surrounded by so many people all the time but she always felt lonely. On the other hand, though there were not many people around Diana she seemed always pleased. There was always a smile on her face. This smile sometimes made Lea sad. She sometimes wanted to speak with her but her arrogance stopped her as everyone came to talk with her first. She never took the initiative to talk to someone. But Diana never came to talk with her. Actually, she saw Lea as a spoiled child of a rich family who could do anything if she wanted. She didn't like this type of person. She always wanted to lead a simple life without disturbances. So she tried to maintain distance from Lea.

Once a boy, who was a relative of the principal, got himself admitted to XZX High School. His name was David. From the beginning, he was jealous of Lea's popularity. He always tried to poke fun at her. Sometimes they had a great argument which had to stop by the teachers. The teachers also warned him to stay away from Lea and not to annoy her. But he paid no heed. Actually, he didn't know which family Lea belongs to. So for pestering Lea one day he thought about a terrible plan. During the tiffin interval, David asked one of Lea's so-called friends to notify her that somebody was waiting for her in the Library on the fifth floor. At first, that girl did not want to do that but after he assured her that she wouldn't be in any problem and that he could help her with her assignment, she was finally convinced. She went to Lea and told her what David asked to tell her accordingly. At first, Lea did not want to go there as generally, nobody went to the fifth floor. The classrooms were on the third and fourth floors and there was also a library on the ground floor. So Lea didn't want to go. But her friend requested her very much and said that someone was eagerly waiting. Seeing her interest she sighed deeply and agreed to go there.

After climbing up to the fifth floor Lea saw no one. She was feeling very uncomfortable. She had told her friend to come with her but she rejected it. So she had to come alone. With a trembling hand, she opened the door of the library and went inside. Seeing no one she asked, "Hello! Anyone here?". Suddenly she heard the sound of the door closing. She turned around and saw someone had already closed the door of the library. She rushed to the door and tried to open it. But alas! She failed. She knocked on the door hard and shouted but nobody heard her except the one who had done this. Yes, it was David who locked Lea in the old library. He was still standing outside the library and was laughing listening to her crying. Lea could hear his chuckle and understand everything; that was all his plot. Though she was furiously mad at him and her so-called friend, she didn't show it. She requested David to open the door but David refused. He told her, "It is your punishment for arguing with me and making me angry. You should stay here for tonight. Tomorrow I will open the door." After this Lea could hear his footstep. She sat down on the floor and started crying. She told to herself "How stupid I am! I can't even understand a fake friend. All this thing which is happening with me is all my fault. Only if I could choose the right person as my friend these things might not happen." Lea remained along in the big silent room.

On the other hand after tiffin, the class started. After a class, Diana noticed that Lea was not in the classroom. Firstly she thought she might have gone back home. But after some time she noticed that Lea's bag was still on her desk. At this, she became tense. Because though Lea was a spoiled girl in her eye, she never saw Lea bunk her classes. She always remained in the class no matter what happened. So first she discussed with her close friend about this. She also agreed that there might have some problems. Then they looked at David who was in a very jolly mood. Seeing his smile they doubted that he might have done something. He always tried to bully Lea. So after school instead of going home, they went to search for Lea in the school. They also told two other friends of them to help them. They searched in the playground, in the pool area, in all other classrooms, in the washroom and in everywhere. At last, they went to the library on the ground floor. But they could find no one. Then suddenly Diana mentioned that they still didn't go to the fifth floor. Hearing this everyone became frustrated. They were very tired and they were also very afraid to go to the fifth floor as they heard some ghost stories about that place. So they requested Diana to give up. They told her that Lea might have gone to her home. So they should leave now. But Diana didn't get convinced. She wanted to go to the fifth floor. So she told them to stay here and wait for her. She would check and come down quickly. Seeing no way to stop her, her friends also went there with her. They didn't want to leave her all alone in danger.

It was almost evening. So the fifth floor was a little dark and creepy. Except for Diana, everybody was very afraid. Diana didn't believe in ghosts. She walked forward and stopped at the door of the library. She knocked on the door lightly and asked "Lea are you there?" Suddenly they heard a loud cry. Lea shouted from inside, "Yes, I am here. Please open the door. It's dark inside. I am very much afraid." Diana quickly opened the door and went inside. Seeing her Lea hugged her tightly. She was still crying.

Diana took Lea to Feng's mansion, Lea's home. Lea thanked Diana wholeheartedly and told her that she just saved her life. Today she would die if she had to stay there alone. She also told her father everything. Hearing his daughter's suffering Mr Feng became very angry and promised her that he would do something. He also thanked Diana for her help and for saving his daughter.

The next day, in the class the teacher announced that David and Ziyana had got transfer certificates and they went to another school. Though David was the relative of the principal, he had to leave the school. Mr Feng forced the school authority to expel him or else Feng's family would stop donating further funds. So the school had to give David a TC to survive in S city. But for this incident, Lea and Diana became close friends.
