Sin Alma, a 5’10” girl with a weight of 67kg, has glass porcelain skin, messy straight flax colored hair, slender violet eyes, perfect natural flax eyebrows, concave nose, and always wears an uninterested expression wherever she goes.

She was born in Gallia. She’s the youngest among her 4 siblings. Her parents are very successful and rich. Even though her family is complete and happy, she always feels like she doesn’t belong to that family and feels incomplete. She was never the favorite child of her parents or the favorite sister of her siblings. Her oldest brother, Leif, is the smartest among the 5 of them. Her second oldest brother, Techni, is the best when it comes to Visual Arts. Her oldest sister, Cadence, is known for her skills when it comes to music. Her second older sister, Choreftria, is acknowledged as the best dancer in Gallia.

Sin, on the other hand, has none. She’s not smart, she doesn’t know how to draw or paint, she doesn’t know how to play an instrument or sing, and she doesn’t know how to dance. Compared to her family, she’s just a shadow. Because of this, her schoolmates always befriend her for the money, for the title. She knew the fact that they’re just using her that’s why she chose to isolate herself from the others and ignored them. She won’t talk to them and won’t even look at them.

But there’s this girl, Evgenis Conmovedora, who approached her and befriended her wholeheartedly. A 5’5” girl with a weight of 52kg, has golden beige skin tone, wavy chocolate colored hair, round scarlet eyes, straight chocolate colored eyebrows, pointed nose, always wears make up by her stylist, and has an approachable aura.

Sin tried to push her away but Evgenis is a very stubborn girl, she won’t stop until she became her friend, which she did eventually. They have the same birthday and are friends since they’re 16 years old. Before their 18th birthday come and they decided to meet each other to talk about it.

Hey, Sin. I’m at the park! Let’s meet!

After reading her only friend’s message, she quickly wore her coat and rushed to the park. There she saw Evgenis sitting on the bench, wearing an oversized hoodie and shorts. She looked at the clock tower and it is already 11:55pm, 5 minutes before their birthday. Sin approached Evgenis and sat beside her.

“We’ll soon know our color and words!” Evgenis excitedly told Sin.

“Yeah, I guess our soul mate hunting will begin soon.” Sin jokingly said. The two of them laughed and looked at the clock tower.

“I wonder what my color is. My parents’ were Red. They said it’s a wonderful color. I wonder what it looks like.” Evgenis plays with the sleeves of her hoodie.

“I think my parents’ color were Brown. It’s like the color of the tree trunks, they said.” Sin explained.

The time keeps ticking and the two girls closed their eyes and counted down until midnight. The clock strikes 12 and they heard the bell indicating that it’s already midnight. They opened their eyes and looked for words on their bodies.

“Happy birthday!” They greeted each other.

“Mine’s ‘Shh be quiet.’ It’s right here on my right wrist!” Evgenis excitedly said.

“Well, that’s kind of common. You can always hear that statement at the Library.” Sin pointed out.

“I know but still, I’m excited to meet this person! How about you?” Evgenis asks Sin. Sin keeps on looking even inside her clothes, none. She has none.

“Umm. I have nothing. I’m blank.” Sin told her. Her friend looked at her worriedly.

“Are you sure? Maybe it’s on your back.” Sin showed Evgenis her back. Other than her scars, there are no words written.

“How is that possible?! Maybe he’s mute? Come on, let’s see what our colors are. I’m pretty sure you’ll have one. It’s impossible that you don’t have one!” Evgenis exclaimed and dragged her to the board of the colors list.

Sin slightly smiled as Evgenis pulls her around. Seeing her friend get worked up because she’s concerned about Sin’s soul mate? It melts her heart. She finds it cute, like a stubborn child wanting to prove something.

They arrived at the board and looked for their colors. Good thing the street lights were bright and the board has its own light source.

“Mine’s pink. What’s yours? Do you have a color?” Evgenis asked Sin.

“Yeah, it’s black and white.” Sin answered. Evgenis looked at her seriously and hugged her.

“I’m sure you’ll find your soul mate. I know you will.” Evgenis reassured her. Sin just laughed silently and pulled away from the hug. She just shrugged and fixes her hair.

“I don’t really care if I won’t be able to have a soul mate or someone special. I have you, and that’s more than enough.” Sin said and smiled. Evgenis smiled back but you can see in her face that she’s still worried.

“Come on, we need to get you home. Mr. and Mrs. Conmovedora might get worried if you stay outside for too long.” Sin tucked her hands in the pocket of her coat and gestured her to come with her head.

“**Fine. But-”

“No but’s. I’m fine! Come on. Let’s go home**.” Sin interrupted her friend and started walking. Evgenis followed her while pouting and clung onto Sin’s arms.

Soon enough, they arrived at the Conmovedora Residence. They said goodbyes and goodnights to each other and Evgenis went inside. While walking home, Sin can’t help smiling because; one, she’s now on her legal age; two, she got to spend her first moments of being an 18-year-old with her friend; and three, She saw how excited Evgenis is about her soul mate and how worried she is about Sin’s.

Once Sin’s home, she went straight to her room and tried to look for answers in the internet. It doesn’t really bother her but it made her curious as to why it’s possible. Nothing came out. It’s either no colors or no words. Not both. Never both.

She just shrugged it off and laid down on her bed. It doesn’t really matter if she lives alone until the end of her time. She’s always alone for 12 years. Her parents are always busy, her siblings never really had time for her because they're too focused on enhancing their skills, and her babysitter left her when she was 4 years old. The only people she gets to socialize with are the maids and butlers. However, personal connection is not allowed and is required to keep a professional relationship.
