I slowly open my eyes staring at the atmosphere which is a unfamiliar place.  The room is so huge!.. I have never seen a room like this one, Its a beatiful site to see...Not even in pictures have I seen a room so pretty...All the walls including the ceiling was excellent. The walls had paintings all over it. The ceiling was very high and many patterns with thick gold linings were found...All the furniture's were furnished and perfectly carved....The bed itself was big and round covered with red silk bed sheet. It was in the centre of the room. The fact that the room was lit up by many candles added to its beauty.

BUT HOW AM I HERE? DID SOMEONE SAVE ME? I remember I was shoot and MATHEW SHOT ME IN THE FOREHEAD!!!

The memories of what happened before I lost my consciousness came haunting my mind. It gave me shivers as I think of that.

IS MOM ALRIGHT? HOW IS KEN? WILL THEY BOTH MAKE IT? WHERE AM I? WHO SAVED ME? Are--

My thoughts came to an end as I heard the door open with an loud sound. A man came in and the door closed. As the man came near, I noticed that the man had a handsome face but it was too serious looking and too unfamiliar.

I was shocked to see his attire. It was confusing since he wore a blue robe and white fur was hanging from two shoulders it was like the ones kings wore in the historical movies and drama.

Besides who wears these type of clothes in the modern era? Unless they are acting for a series? I felt like laughing at him but it may be him who saved me, so i didn't want to mock him.

"Were you the one who saved me?"I ask.

I had to make sure if he was the one who saved me from those bastards and maybe hospitalised me since I dint feel any pain  from the time I woke up. So i wanted to thank him if he really did.

"What does that mean?"he says in a rough tone.

"I uh- from those evil guys who shot me with a gun"

"Gun?What's that?"he asks with a confused expression.

"Uh you don't know a gun?"

"I have never heard of that.--Wait--Are you playing with me? If you do, you better stop. Don't make our marriage night waste by that. We have a lot more to do. It can be saved for the future--to entertain me if you like.?"

What WEDDING NIGHT?  WHEN DID I MARRY HIM? I NEVER HAD A BOYFRIEND OTHER THAN THAT MATHEW BASTARD !!! WHAT THE **** IS GOING ON?

I move towards the mirror ignoring the unknown guy as I went. I felt his eye glued to me as he did not know what was happening. Neither did I!!!

I took a close look at myself. There is no scar of the bullet pierce through my forehead.

"Sweets? Anything wrong? "He asks concerned seeing my worried face. His voice was still rough, but his face looked concerned. Maybe his voice is always like that?.

I keep silent.

"You fainted just after we entered the palace.. I thought you were tired since we had a long day...Our wedding....then full day travel without rest. So I didn't take it as anything bad. But seeing your face now--like this, is making me worried."

I am dumbstruck. I couldn't understand what this is all about.

"Who are the evil guys you were talking about? Did they hurt you? Just tell me who they are.,.I'll kill them!!! You don't have to fear anyone understand? You are my wife so you can never be threatened again.

I heard only parts of what he was saying.

"Dont worry about that....Just calm down...sweets--" he says and turned me around to face him.

He pulls me and hugs me tightly. My head was placed on his chest.

"Just calm down...." he says.

I don't resist but I feel a bit uncomfortable since I have never seen him before. I don't know how I ended up here.

"I guess you are tired and confused so let's just sleep tonight. I don't want to exhaust you totally. Let's have our marriage night tomorrow then? Do you want to go to your room now?" He asked losing his grip on me.

I nod slowly.

"Okay. I'll take you there." he said.

He puts his arms around my shoulders and walks me out of the room. He takes me to a room just next to his. He opens the door for me and takes me in. He makes me sit on bed and takes my hand in his.

I stare down at the floor. He lifts my chin to make eye contact.

"we should be ready for mass at six. I'll come and wake you at five thirty tomorrow. Sleep fast so that you won't feel tired tomorrow." The guy says and walks out.

There are too many questions running on my mind... I don't know how I'm going to find the answers to my questions.

The door opens agian and the guy comes in. This time a lady comes in too.

"She is your personal maid. You can ask her to do anything for you. She must stay with you tonight. You can choose for her to stay from tomorrow if you want."

"Okay " I answer.

He nods and goes away.

"Your highness do you have any orders for me?" The lady asks.

"No " I reply.

The lady stands there in the same position.

"Please don't stand, sit down." I say. Hearing me the lady sits on the floor. I got up and moved to her.

"Why are you sitting on the floor? Can't you sit on the bed or the chair? "

"Your highness? " the lady says.

"Come on,sit here" I say and make her sit on the bed.

She hesitates but due to my persuasion she sat. I sit beside her too.

"What's your name?" I ask her.

"Nancy, Your highness. " She answers.

"Nancy do you know all about this place?" I ask her, thinking if she could know what is happening here or at least where this is.

"Yes,your highness."

"Do you know my name?"

"Yes. I know all about you your highness, your preferences about food, clothes and various other things."

"Then tell me whatever you know." I say curious wanting to know what exactly is happening.

"Start with my name and basic information. Then tell everything you know about me." I say and she nods her head.

"You are Princess Caroline Agustiana Corway. Daughter of Emperor Alexander Corway of the Lottera empire. Now at present you are the wife of Emperor Edward Charleston of the Langres empire...You love going to the garden in the day and love watching stars at night. You like to wear clothes of bright colours. But it shouldn't be too bright and it should be comfortable. You eat all types of food. The only requirement is that it must be edible. You like rose petals for your bath.--"

I am shocked since that's not a single bit like me.

"Okay.Okay I agree you know a lot about me. But how do you know all these?" I ask her with curiosity all over me since everything she said has nothing to do with me.

" I was trained before I were made a personal maid to you. In the training process I had learnt everything of you by asking all your most loved people. They gave me all the information. If i dont know some details, I can learn in the future. I don't have anyone else in my life other than you, you are my everything in this life your highness."

"Why would you say that? Don't you have a family?" I ask since she told I am her everything.

"No your highness." She said in a calm tone.

"I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked yo-"

"It's alright your highness. I'm used to it." Said Nancy.

I might hurt her if I continue with this topic so i ask her "Can you tell me about the emperor."

"Yes,your highness. He is the emperor of the langares empire. His highness is known for his skills at sword fight, tactics and his rule. I have heard that he is very strict with following the rules of the country. He is not a man who believes in tradition and religious matters. His first wife, her highness Arianna was married to him when he was at the age of fifteen. She is a elegant and calm woman but if she is angered she may not be one. I know only these information on him,Your highness." Nancy said.

He has a wife already then why did he marry me? Does that mean I am a Mistress?

"You have to sleep now your highness. you must get up early tomorrow." She says and I nod my head and lie down.

I get off the bed as soon I watch Nancy goes and lies on the floor.

"Are you sleeping down?" I asked as I was shocked to see her lie down.

"Yes your highness "she says.

"Nancy sleep on top" I said.

She refuses almost immediately. I had no choice but to argue with her. She soon gave up and laid on the bed.

I drifted off to sleep as I was too tired.

ALEXA'S PAST

The day is extremely slow, it's probably because I have no work today and also due to my eagerness to see Mathew. He is a handsome man with a blonde hair, pale blue eye and a perfect jawline. He is the CEO of the Crown enterprise. I have acted in many movies for him before. And today's meeting was also of business I know that but I'm just so eager to see him.

Not knowing what to do for the rest of the day, I turn to Netflix on the television.Going through it, I decide on watching Polar. I also do other activities like eating some snacks, putting clothes to laundery, reading a magazine left by mom, and talk to my neighbour Kenley who's a huge fan of mine.

Finally it's three, I take a shower, then move to the closet. Ruffling through, I find myself a elegant blue dress which came till my knee. It is the one my mom bought me for my b'day last year. I wear light makeup just enough to make me even more pretty.

I call Mathew to make sure he does not have any meetings and have some time to talk to me. He tells me to come to his office. And i make my way there.

As i reach his office, I smooth my dress and hair, taking a deep breath, and knock the door.

"Come in" A voice comes and I head in.

The man looks at me with a warm smile across his face.

I sit facing him.

"What do you want to drink?" he asks me.

"coffee."

"Okay...mmh...excuse me I'll call the secretary." I nod and he picks the phone and talks to his secretary.

"Two cups of coffee please" He says and cuts the call.

Mathew turns towards me. My heart keeps raising each time he looks.

"Here is the next movie I'm producing, I wanted you to act in it. Is it possible?" he says handing over some paperwork.

"Yes, but I have to make sure I finish other works which are pending.." I say Ruffling through the paperwork.

"We can start after you finish them." He says and I nod my head.

His secretary opens the door and comes in.

She hands me my coffee first and then to Mathew.

Taking it in my hand I say "thanks"

"your welcome"she says and heads out.

"I guess I should get going" I said and he nods.

"Shall I...drop you??..If you want I can."

Smiling I nod saying "Okay..."

We head to the car. Mathew opens the door for me, then comes in too. Smiling again he takes off.The ride is too silent.

Neither of us seem to start. Mathew suddenly takes a turn and goes into a parking lot of a mall. I was in to a surprise when he did that. Not knowing the reason for his actions, I stare at him as he stops the car.

Seeming to know my thoughts he starts talking.

"I know your wondering why I took you here and I owe you an explanation."

Not knowing how to react I just stare at him. Taking a deep breath he starts again.

"I wanted to talk to you..."then he stops.

"Yes??"I say curious of what he is about to tell.

"Um...I thought of saying this before but couldn't bring myself to." he says.".But I wanted you to know so I'm telling now."

"Okay..."

"I saw you in the hospital two years back, when I came for a checkup. The moment I saw you I seemed to like you. Though I never believed in love at first sight, I had to accept it."

Hearing this I feel astonished. I never expected him to like me.

"Mathew..."I say, but he continues not letting me to say ."This is the first time someone tells me this.

"That was the first time I saw you...and then found you in many magazines after that..."

I put my finger on his lips just enough to make him stop. I, myself dont know why I did that. Mathew is surprised by my action but he does not react.

"Mathew, I like u too....I don't know why I liked you." I say.

Just then, Mathew takes my hand that's on his lip. He then squeezes it a little.

"Will you date me??"he asks.

I nod my head. He does not say anything but smiles and takes off.

"Do you like music??"he asks after a few minutes of silence.

"Yeah... I love pop."I say giggling.

"Me jass" he says and playing stitches.

We hear around 10 songs before reaching my place. Turning off the car, Mathew turns to face me.

"Dont forget you accepted my proposal,ok??" he says raising his left eyebrow.

"You think I can forget that so easily?" I reply, raising my left eyebrow as he did. As I do this, he let's out a chuckle.

"Then....I'll text you later."I say and he nods.

I open the door to go out. Mathew catches my wrist saying "Wait"

I turn to face him.

"Bye."he says.

"Bye."I say too.

Getting out, I go towards my house. As I reach the door, I look back to see him drive away. I wave my hand. Seeing me wave, he waves back and then takes off.

"Your highness, please get up... If you don't we'll be late...." I heard Nancy's voice.

I sat on the bed rubbing my eye.

As I open my eye I see Edward standing there.

He comes to me and sits on the bed.

"Sweets we have to make it to the Royal chapel since all the ministers insisted on it. I usually don't believe these but today is must. We won't go for other services I promise. They told me that since...It is my second marriage... They told me it is like a sin soo...I had to accept. " He said.

I don't know why he says that but I nod.

"Then--I'll leave you to get ready.." he said and left my room.

As soon as he went out, Nancy opened a door in the room and ushered me in.

There was a wooden tub filled with hot water.

She soon started pulling my gown down.

"Nancy...I can remove my clothes my self...you wait outside I'll call you after I finish the bath."

"I'm sorry your highness... it was commanded by the emperor...If he comes to know that I disobeyed him...He will kill me... "

Having no choice I agreed for her to bath me. It was uncomfortable since I have never been ***** In front of anyone. Since the day I could bath myself, not even my mom bathed me.

After minutes of uneasiness, the bath came to an end. And Nancy helped me get into a beatiful lite blue gown.

Edward came in as Nancy finished my hair.

Nancy was not allowed inside where ever Edward was taking me. So I had to walk with him.

Together linking arms we went down to a area which had nothing but a cross on a wooden table. The room was plain and had long wooden benches along the sides. It was like it had not been used for a very long time.

We sat on the side of the bench.

Many people came in after a few minutes of us sitting.

Edward stood up as a man in white robes came in. I stood up following him.

Edward took me to the center of the room. The man in white robes started chanting verses, maybe he is the priest. I never understood any of the things he said. I did whatever Edward did as I knew nothing of what is going on.

After a couple of minutes the man in robes came and kept his hands on me and Edward.

"May the Lord be with you in your hard times and give you an heir to the throne. Let him provide you with happiness and love through out your life. Lord bless the newly wedded couple." He blessed us.

All the people in the room which was probably a chapel stood up from the benches.

They all enchanted the same words of the priest.

After it was over Edward linked his hand with mine and walked out.

"Sweets, did you sleep well?" He asks with the same rough voice.

"Yes, your majesty." I added.

He seemed a little troubled but soon recovered.

" My wife told me that she wanted to meet you. So can you meet her?" He asked with some worry in his face. Maybe because of two his wives meeting. He maybe scared of we both fight and be enemies there after?

''Sure" I said and he nodded.

The rest of the walk he did not open his mouth.

He lead me towards our room but stands in front of a different room which was neither his or mine.

This room was on the other side of his room. Mine was on the right and this was on the left.

"This is the room my wife stays in." he said and knocked on the door. This was unlike him since he just barges in mine without any prior notice.

I dont know why, but I feel so awkward to have to see his first wife.

If i have to stay here for the rest of my life then I should and may see her often and have fights maybe. All most all dramas and series shows the fights between the two wives or wife and concubine. So I am nervous to see her. She is like a love rival to me. Though I don't mind since I don't love him, she may mind it. I never wished to be a third party In a relationship but unfortunately I am already married to this guy before I got my consciousness.

"Come in" Said the lady.

Edward then pushed the door open and went in. I followed behind him.

"Edward!" said the lady who came rushing to him. Her arms went around him and hugged him tightly. It was like she had not seen him in a long time.

They seemed to have a good relationship. She seemed to be carefree around him and shouted his name freely while I was debating how I should call him.

Her eyes met mine and she soon pulled off of him...

"Are you the princess from lottera empire?" She questioned.

"Yes" I replied to her. If not for Nancy I would not even know what I would have told them.

"You are more than beatiful..."she praised me and came towards me.

She hugged me and I returned the gesture.

She made me sit on her bed and looked at me smiling.

"I'll leave you two to talk...I have work to do." Edward said and went out as we nod our head.

"Edward told me to be nice to you...He was worried and thought that we both will fight and argue since...you know why." I nod my head of course I know it. "I hope we can be without fighting.?.." she said more like a question.

"Yes...I don't want to fight either." I said smiling at her reviled of the fact that I wouldn't have to fight with her.

"You can call me sister Arriana or just Arriana."she said and I nod.

"Ale--Caroline! You can can call me Caroline..." I corrected myself from telling Alexa.

She chuckled by the speed I told her.

"You don't have to be formal. You can calm down when I am here. Think of me a friend or a sister." She said and i nodded again.

"You should make a promise that you will never fight with me on matters regarding Edward....It is a bit embarrassing to ask this--"

"I promise. I won't fight for those matters. You don't have to worry Arriana." I said firmly.

"Thank you" she said.

A maid walked in.

"Its time for you to get ready for breakfast your highness", the maid told Arriana.

And Arriana looked at me with a apologetic smile on her face.

"I'll be going then" I said.

"OK see you at breakfast" she said nodding her head.

I head out to my room. Nancy rushes to me as soon as I enter it.

"Your highness....Do you need anything?" She asks me. I see her eye is filled with water. Though she tried to hide it, she could not.

It is all because of her I was able to control the situation I am in. So I have to console her.

I wrap my arms around her being as gentle as I could make it.

"You can tell me what is bothering you. If i can do something I will do it. Just tell me."I say as her body shakes even more.

"Your highness..."

"Think of me as a friend and tell me...you'll feel better when you tell someone your worries."

"Your highness I miss my husband....He went missing five years ago... I had only him as my family..." Nancy said between her sobs.

"It's okay... I'm there for you Nancy don't worry. You'll find your husband soon. I'll help you...In ways I can..." I try convincing her.

"I really hope to see him your highness."

I don't tell her anything but let her sob in my arms. She will be fine after she let's her tears out.

"Your highness, you should go for breakfast... I forgot about that..."she says a little scared.

"It's ok. let's go now..."

Before heading out she makes sure my hair and clothes are perfect.

Then we head for breakfast.
