I was born in Foosha Village. With my little brother Alexander and my little sister Ava
My name is Yana which came from my mom's last name
Sadly she passed away before I got to see her face nobody know's how she passed some people say she had ridden across the ocean but only did half than died from a dangerous sickness that spread across the ocean
She had left a few dollars for me and my family to depend on for a few years, but we are really close to running out.
I Told dad that we should just start stealing, but he never liked the feeling of taking things without peoples permission so that idea sunk to the bottom of the sea.
No one has ever loved our family because of 1 thing. That one thing was me I ate a devil fruit that goes by the name Awa Awa no mi ( A Paramecia type devil fruit).
People hate that type of devil fruit because a g-9 member used to have it. But they sadly passed away due to getting killed I got this power out of nowhere I was just walking around a forest until I saw a fruit hanging on a tree.
I didn't want to take it and give it to my family without trying it because it could be life threating so I took a bite taking the risk of dying until my whole body started shining like glass.
my body was slippery and felt like soap but i just left it alone. I started learning more about it by asking everyone around but they just started getting upset when i talked about it until they found out i ate the fruit when i wasn't able to swim.
That was the curse of eating a devil fruit, You couldn't swim anymore so there was no point of even trying you'll just sink to the bottom like a rock.
As i walk around the town i saw a short looking boy who had dark black hair and big eyes.
He was running out a bar while everyone was screaming trying to catch him i think i heard someone say something about a devil fruit which caught my attention
I slowly stepped up to the bar door only to see a red haired, tall man who looked to be a pirate but i just ignored that because you can't always jump to conclusion because of what someone is wearing.
He let out a sigh. And started looking up at the ceiling until a big chunky guy walked up to him

Boss shouldn't we go and catch him? we can't just let him run around like that you know how luffy is...
The red haired man slowly looked up

nah he knows what to do luffy is strong he wouldn't let anybody boss him around
I let out a small laugh this guy really does have a lot of trust in that kid, But i have to get home or my family would be worried about me.
As i start walking home i hear screaming and yelling coming from behind a building, i let out a sigh with all this drama that's happening ever since these bandits came here.
These bandits are the reason this town is going into chaos ever since Gol D. Roger died he used to always protect this town from trouble but once he died all the pirates and bandits started showing their true colors trying to claim this village to themselves.
I glimpse around the corner only to see the same little boy getting held down by the bandits i wanted to help but i got weak i wasn't the type to go fight.
But i also wasn't the type to let someone get bullied.

What do you guys think your doing picking on a little kid like that
I said holding all the courage to not run.
The bandits leader then turned to me and glared angrily

Oh look another dumba** who can't mind their businesses
He points a gun directly at my head

Listen here kid turn around and leave before i give you a reason to start crying, if you live that is
after he said that all his puppets let out evil hyena laughs, i didn't see anything funny about that probably because im the one getting held at gun point!.
The black haired boy than STRETCHED his arms out causing all the bandits to look in shock and slowly back off, the bandits were not the only ones shocked i was shocked even the boy!
It looked like he didn't know he could do that. He must have ate a devil fruit like me that's the only way he could have did that, No normal human being was capable of doing something like that.
I will be king of the pirates!
The bandits backed away from the boy looking shocked while the boy sat on the ground the leader then snapped out of it and walked up to the boy

Oh so it seems you have devil fruit powers which is great!
Bandit leader
If you do anything to displease me i could just toss you in the ocean and be done with you!.
The boy than stood up and punched the bandit in the face causing him to fly back making all the bandits get ready to charge before they did anything.
A loud laugh came out i turned to look the way only to see the red hair here.
The boy than started laughing and running to the red haired man

💭:That must be his name than. Good because i'm getting tired of calling him red head.
Shanks than let out a laugh which turned to a smile

i saw that punch you threw! That devil fruit must have really boosted your strength.
The boy than let out a giggle while scratching his head.
I looked towards them again

listen I'm not the type that will ruin peoples moment but this time I am, the bandits have gotten up and pulled out guns, so what are we going to do?
Soon the chunky guy and a grey long haired dude walked beside the big guy

*Smirk* boss we got these low lives don't worry
The bandits let out another laugh

you two really think you could defeat us *smiling*

We don't need our whole crew to beat lowlifes like you, one hit and your down for the count
The 2 man started fighting the bandits and beating the crap out of them.
The leader of the bandits looked terrified, he picked up a gun and pointed it directly at the 2 man

I've tried to be nice, but it seems you two won't accept my gratitude it's over!.
But before he could shoot the gun was smacked out of the guys hand by shanks in the matter of seconds.
Shanks than proceeds to pick up the gun

If you point a gun make sure your capable of using it, once that gun is in your hands don't cower down, you weren't really going to shoot I could tell by your trembling hands.
Shanks points it towards the bandit to shoot him but than a mist of smoke starts flowing everywhere once the smoke disappeared the boy and the bandit were gone.
Shanks let out a grunt and turns to me

Go home kid, ill get this under control I don't want you seeing any of this
I shook my head and slowly walked away thinking about whatever just happened
I just hope that the boy is really okay
it seems to me he is because, the boy was back again and more hyped than ever
The only different thing is that shanks only had one arm now, but it seems to not worry him. If it doesn't worry him it doesn't worry me either
Ever since i came home really late dad started stopping me from going on a lot
he says I'm still not responsible as he thought but I won't let him boss me around and make me stay inside the house like a hostage
As I get to the door to leave i'm interrupted of sneaking out

Sissy where are you going? * rubbing his eyes*

I thought daddy said we can't go out yet
Yana
Uhm don't worry I'm just going to get us something to eat
Simmon
Will you come back???
Yana
Yeah! But you have to promise to not tell dad
As I step outside I see Luffy crying

Luffy! Are you okay what happened?
Yana
Did someone hurt you tell me who!
Luffy
No nobody hurt me it's just that shanks is planning on setting sail today, and he said he won't take me with him

Don't worry Luffy *Smiles* ill always be here for you, you know
Luffy
Yeah I know! *Smiles* and when I grow up I'm going to become a pirate just like shanks! And I want you to join my crew!
Yana
Hah, I'll be ready for that day, and you know it!
At the front of the village

Shanks do you really have to go? Why not stay for a few days? Or weeks! Or even months! Or even years or for the rest of your life!

*Laughs* Luffy, I know your hurt, but I have to go

Aw okay. But I'm going to become a pirate just like you and forge a stronger crew than your crew! And then I'm going to become the king of the pirates!
