I woke up feeling very light headed and I stretched out my hand to touch my alarm clock,then I realized it wasn't there. I quickly adjusted my self on the bed before I suddenly started falling. It felt like an endless abyss that kept on going for eternity.

Then I landed on the ground with a loud thud with my face on the ground, I groaned in pain trying to lift myself up.Then I felt something sticky on my palm and my feet. I was stuck to the ground, in somewhere unknown to me. I tried to survey my environment but everywhere was pitch black. I couldn't see a single thing, then I felt my body shiver unconsciously.

Something was getting close to me and I didn't know what it was, I could feel it murderous intent and that is when it suddenly dawned on me that there was a figure in front of me, I only saw a glimpse but still couldn't recognize it, it started walking slowing towards me. My hand scratched a twig but I didn't mind, the only thing I could think of was to try to escape. It kept approaching me and this made my whole body shiver even more.

Before I could even register anything in my mind I heard someone calling me.Yelling my name, but it sounded kinda muffled, eventually my ears adjusted to the sound and I heard "SADIE WAKE UP YOU HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL TODAY".

I immediately recognized this voice, it was my mom's. She had orange hair and green eyes like mine. She was in her late thirties but still had a good figure. My mom was only like four inches taller than me and she was light skinned.

I slowly opened my eyes only to see my angry mom and my little twin siblings hovering me. My little sister, Zia and my brother, Zayn where nagging all sorts of things.

Zia had long auburn hair and grey eyes like my dad. She was barely three feet tall and white skinned, while Zayn had short fiery auburn hair and he was just a few inches taller than Zia, light coloured skin.

I guess you could say the twins took more of my dads features than that of my mom's especially Zia.

The twins had very different behaviors which wasn't really surprising. Zia was the feisty one, while Zayn was kinda timid, and didn't always show his emotions.

I stood up from my bed and looked at the alarm clock not minding all of their rubbish, I grabbed it and looked at the time. It was a little past 7:00am, then I saw my mom giving me the stink eye, I quickly understood what that meant . I was late, I immediately put on my furry bunny slippers and dashed into the bathroom to shower.That was the fastest bath I have ever taken in my life, when I was done, I saw my mom taking my siblings to school and she told me my breakfast was in the kitchen counter and I should shut the door behind her. I peeked through my room window and saw that the school bus was already at our front lawn.

I put on my clothes and looked at my self in the mirror before going to the kitchen. My medium length crimson hair wasn't thoroughly combed so I hurriedly combed it with my fingers and tied it into a bun. I quickly a look at my clothes and satisfied with my black hoodie and my brown shorts and a pair of green snickers. This would have to do

I ran into the kitchen to get my cereal and I started pouring all of its contents into my mouth. I ran back upstairs and basically packed any book in sight and shoved it in my bag and ran to our front door, then I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down by repeating the words "today is gonna be a good day" about three times and stepped out the door.

I walked calmly to the bus and I saw it was driving away.Then I started chasing it and frantically waving my hands to get anyone's attention, then the bus suddenly stopped. I was glad that the driver at least noticed me. I entered the bus and was greeted with a bunch of stares, but I just smiled lightly at them and took my seat next to the window at the back.

Today was autumn September 15th, and this is the beginning of a fun-filled, adventurous school year.

The bus drove for about fifteen minutes, till it eventually stopped in front of a school. My new school 'Princeton senior high'. The school was huge. The walls were painted maroon and it had a beautiful fountain at the front.

All the students alighted from the bus and we all walked straight towards the entrance. When I entered, I noticed that the inside was moderately decorated with flowers at various corners of the school. Two drinking fountains and a long line of lockers.

I walked along the hallway and stopped in front of a door, 'it was the principles office'. I knocked the door and waited patiently for a response. I heard a man's voice saying"come in".i slowly opened the door and saw a middle aged man wearing a grey suit and had brown hair grey eyes arranging some files.

He gestured with his hands for me to sit at a Chair in front of him. I couldn't help but look at my surroundings. His office was painted pale yellow, had a TV,mini-fridge,printer,chairs,etc. My attention drifted back to him when I heard my name "Sadie Purkins".

I nodded my head as a reply. He was looking at a file while he read out "you were a student of south coast high", he looked at me as if waiting for a reply. I said yes, then he continued reading out the contents "seventeen years old and a stellar student. your dad passed away five years ago and... ". I stopped paying attention after I heard that last statement.

I remembered the day my dad died... it was a stormy evening, my mom and I were preparing dinner. Then The house phone rang and my elder brother chase picked it up. My mum went to the living room to inquire who that was. Then I remembered hearing someone,probably my mum, running upstairs. I quickly washed my hands and ran to the living room. I asked my brother Wassup, but he didn't reply. His face looked terrified and he just kept looking upstairs. I trying to get him to say something or just look at me, I held his hand and I noticed it was trembling. I looked up at his face, his eyes were wide open tears where forming at the rim.

Then I heard him whisper"dad" then mind went blank. I wondered what could possibly had happened, but with the situation it clearly wasn't something good. Then my mom came running down the stairs. She picked up her coat tossed the keys to my brother and told all of us to get in the car.

It was a quiet ride, I felt really scared along the way and I kept hoping nothing bad happened to dad.

We stopped at the south coast general hospital and ran to the receptionist. She showed us the ward my dad was in. Apparently, he was a serious car accident and was in critical condition. His head was bandaged, his arms and legs basically his whole body was injured and bandaged. My mom kept crying at his bedside side while gently holding his hands. Chase was trying to comfort her but I wasn't working. I just held Zayn and zia hands tightly while we all quietly sobbed.

"Dad!!", I screamed as I saw his eyes flickering and ran towards his bed. He turned to look at us and then he smiled warmly. He lifted his head and gave my mom a kiss on her forehead. "I love all of you so much", he said as and passed away. I heard the heart rate monitor thingy make a long beep sound .Then a doctor and a nurse came in. The check his pulse, then the doctor said" I'm sorry, but he's gone".

That was all I could remember. Then my attention drifted back to the principal Mr errr.... I quickly gazed at his name tag 'oh, Mr Sinclair I thought'. I think he must have finished what ever he was saying because he was arranging the files and putting them carefully in a filling cabinet.

"We'll then, that would be all for now. Welcome to Princeton high, I hope you love it here", Mr. Sinclair said. Then he lifted his hand and gave me a handshake then smiled at me

Then I stood up to leave. "Wait!! you still have to get a proper tour of the school. I have already assigned your guide, I think she should be outside my office as we speak. When you see her you would know, You may go now".

Then I opened the door and walked out of his office. As I was about to take another step after closing the door, I hear someone saying hi!! enthusiastically.

I turned my attention to a girl, dark in complexion, with black long and curly hair and white highlights, wearing glasses, a purple knitted Sweater and jeans. She was holding a sign with my name on it. 'Do people still do that stuff?',

She smiled widely at me and she looked quite cheerful. "My name is Pandora and I would be your tour guide. Nice to meet you" she said while opening her arms for a hug. I reluctantly hugged her trying not to get to close. When the hug was over she grabbed my hand and said "okay let's be quick before our first class starts ".

We walked along the hallway while she was telling me about some important features. "okay, here is the cafeteria, and this is the library, that there is my class or I could say our class - class 3E", Pandora said.

We then walked to the locker area while she continued the tour. she said "this is my locker, locker 107 and the one next to mines is yours and..." But I stopped paying attention because I was staring at a boy behind of her.

I think she must have noticed because the next thing she said was "oh, I guess I have to introduce you to some people too. This here is Percy, my childhood friend and our locker buddy". He turned to look at us and waved. When he turned, ours eyes made content for like a second, but I just turned my face immediately to avoid any awkwardness.

Then I heard him chuckle under his breath. Percy was quite handsome, tall, with dark brown hair and brown eyes with a hint of gold on the lower edge.

He said when he put his hand down "hi, as Pandora has already said I'm Percy ". "And I'm Sadie", I replied.

Then I heard a loud ringing sound. "That's the school bell, let's hurry before we go to class late. The hall monitors on Mondays are sometimes ruthless", Pandora said while grabbing my hand and pulling me.

Then we quickly walked to class and took our seats. I sat on the third row near the window at one end of class. Pandora sat behind me with a dark girl with thick dark brown hair, while Percy sat opposite her with a boy who has blue hair. Then a blonde girl sat right next to me. She had long, thick hair and dark brown eyes.

"Hi I'm Millicent", the girl said. "Hi I'm Sadie" I replied. A middle aged woman entered the class and wrote 'Mathematics and Mrs. Dorothea' on the board.

I was glad that our first class was maths because I'm kinda like a pro in this subject. "It appears we have a new student in class today. We have to follow the Princeton high traditions in welcoming our new students. Please can you come to the front of the class and properly introduce yourself Sadie.", Mrs Dorothea said.

When I heard my name, I stood up from my seat and walked towards the front of the class. I heard a loud banging, kinda like a drum roll. I looked around the class and I some some students wearing sports jackets hitting the table. Then everyone else was cheering and clapping while I continued walking.

I finally reached the front of the class and stood next to our teacher. She gestured for me to speak so I said" hey everyone, my name is Sadie Purkins and I'm glad to meet you all". I bowed and walked back to my seat before I heard the cheering stop.

Class the entire morning went on as usual and now it was lunch time. Everyone left the class, some to the restroom, others to study hall and so on. I went tomy locker to put some of my books back before heading to the cafeteria.

While putting my books back, I felt someone lightly touch my hand so I instinctively looked back. "Pandora! oh... hey... whatsapp.", I stammered. She said " let's go the cafeteria and meet up with some of my other friends". I wasn't so sure about this but I just played along and followed her.

When we got to the cafeteria, it was almost filled. We walked to the counter. "Its a Monday so it's meatball monday", Pandora said with stars in her eyes. I'm guessing she loves meatballs.

We took our lunches and walked towards a table near the end of the cafeteria. While we were walking, she said " In this school, tables are for specified group of people. That there is the football club, and that is the chess club, the D n' D's, the superstar group, the class presidents and..." while pointing at the Various tables. "and this one here is the students council table were I am the council president", she said while dropping her tray on the table.

I dropped my tray next to her and just stood there. I felt kinda like and outsider and it didn't want to disrupt their group thing. "It's okay you can sit with us even though your not a member of the students council, well not yet", Pandora said noticing my unease.

That is when I noticed that Pandora, Millicent, Percy, the guy with blue hair and the girl with dark brown hair where all seated here. They all smiled warmly at me at gestured me to sit.

I sat down next to Pandora. Then the started another round of introductions. "This is Millicent, the guy with blue hair is Xander, the girl with crazy black hair is Storm and as you already know that is Percy." Pandora said while pointing at each of them and they each replied with a smile and a wave.

Lunchtime finished in a flash, then we all walked towards are respective classes. As Pandora and I were leaving the cafeteria, I felt someone watching me, so I turned back and noticed Xander was staring at me while he was talking to Percy. I just smiled back, then I say his face turn light red and he immediately looked away.

I giggled lightly because of his reaction, then Pandora ask "whatsapp". "Oh.. nothing " I replied while we entered our next class.
