In a rainy, stormy night a soul shifter is running wild.
The soul shifter attemps to feed off of the souls of a homeless mother and daughter.
Then The great mage jang gang appears.

Jang gang then uses his skill to kill the soul shifter.
Then jang gang is called by the emperor.
jang gang goes to the Palace to see the King sick and about to die.
The king knowing that says to jang gang to shift souls with him using the spell ' Alchemy of souls '.
Jang gang refuses but obeys any ways.
Then after shifting souls now jang gang is the king and see the letter written by the king that if Do-hwa( Jang gangs wife) bears a child then the child is going to be the Kings.

Beginning
A fight is going on between the great assassin Naksu and the ruler of songrim Park Jin.
The arrows are set off into the sky to kill Naksu but she dodges using her mastered skill Tansu.
Park jin orders the mages to go forward.
A dangerous swords fight starts off.
Naksu gets a cut on her arm.
Then Park jin uses his skill in an arrow to kill Naksu.

Agh! I have to get out of here or else fight to death.

Park jin orders the mages to capture Naksu.

Maybe I can get away by switching souls.

She then bumps into a girl and performs the alchemy of souls with her.

Then naksu tricks the mages to think that she switched her soul with another girl.
Park jin sees the girls chest but doesn't see the blue mark that should be there when performing the spell.
He doubts that Naksu failed to cast the spell.
