Not My Type

Foreword

Sometimes things are not what they seem. Neither the sky is always pale, nor the infinite sea, nor people are the same as they want to appear. Some hide their feelings, some hide their thoughts, and some, some of them lie.

They lie about how they feel, about who they are, about what they want to be. But the worst of all are not those who lie to look like someone else, nor those who lie to gain what they set out to do, but those who lie to avoid being hurt. They, unlike others, have two extra qualities: a good soul that can be hurt, and the desire to be loved. But they also have a flaw that holds them back: a stone on their heart that keeps them in the shadow of a mystery.

Sometimes, the ones who lie are the ones who can defend themselves the best.

But not all liars know how to cover their tracks. Sometimes they lie so much that they bury themselves in their own lie, so deep that they can't pull themselves out no matter how much they want to.

Others, on the other hand, are always one step ahead of us, they always know how to make everything work in their favor.

But there is another type of liar, those who lie so much that they lie to themselves. But what sets them apart from other people is the purpose of their lies. They don't lie for a specific purpose, but they lie to play with a person's feelings. He plays them so well that even they are fooled.

However, they will always suffer even if they never admit it. Because in their spider's web they attract empty souls who yearn for true love, and they unintentionally play their game. They give false signs, pretend to feel something more than they are, pretend to be someone else than what they are.

Maybe many of them don't do it on purpose, maybe it's just an unfortunate coincidence that two person with two different impressions about life met.

But this coincidence also has its consequences,Maybe this "liar" isn't lying at first, maybe he fell in love first and pulled the other soul into his seemingly innocent game, after which he fell in love with they even more, and left they alone to feel all this on his skin .

But we won't know that, at least not anytime soon. What's really unexpected is how a player playing with someone's feelings can also be killed with their own weapon.

It will always be hard for both of you, or at least for the one who truly loved, to accept that no matter how hard he tries and how much he wishes he could change fate, he cannot do it alone. He can only hope that in the end the feeling will be recognized as mutual. The rest depends only on the other soul captive to his lies.

Chapter 1

We all make mistakes. It is natural to make mistakes. But some mistakes won't be forgotten anytime soon, they won't even be able to be overlooked. Sometimes these thoughts haunt me day and night.

I can't remember the last time I fell asleep and didn't wake up until morning without being awakened by one of these thoughts. I can never remember where it started or why. The only concrete thing is that since I've known myself I haven't been able to do anything without taking all the blame and judging myself for every deed.

What stupid and useless thoughts, I tell myself, picking up my bag from the foot of the bed and walking towards the half-open door.

- I left, I say half-heartedly.

- Uh, sure. Good day, replies my mother, distracted by the two younger brothers.

I should have expected to be ignored today as well. It's already early.

The road was empty for that hour. Too empty. I would never have minded the priority of being able to go to school or anywhere else by myself, but something was wrong. For a city always crowded and noisy, silence was not an option. For now, not even a blizzard is stopping these people from leaving their homes. However, I overlooked this aspect as usual.

I didn't think for a long time that I would have emotions on an ordinary day like any other. What made it different from other days, besides the unusually pleasant quiet, was the fact that today, exactly today, I was starting high school in a new town. Not really, the city is the same to me, I've lived here all my life, but the school is different from years past.

Despite living here, I stopped going to this school after high school.

Yes indeed, the high school also had middle and elementary classes as far as I can remember, I sigh relaxing my tight chest.

Bad idea if you ask me. High schools with middle and elementary classes are the worst, the classes are always crowded, you will never be able to hide from the couples in the hallways or the idiots from the other classes who stick to you.

Where could he be...still hoping he keeps his word and shows up.

- Mirennn, a lively and lively voice is heard behind me.

I sigh quietly, turning to the girl who would be my colleague for the next few years.

- Good morning to you too, Anne, I say with a friendly smile.

- Uh, yeah... good morning, she says, cocking his head to the side, chuckling.

The girl's eyes sparkled in the pale sunlight that had just appeared in the sky. She was quite tall, but not too tall, with small brown eyes and short, light brown hair with hints of blonde. I could say my opposite. I've always had black hair compared to other people, but next to her, mine looked black. Besides, my hair was always past my elbows, and it made a difference to be noticeably taller than her. My eyes did not appear like hers in the light, being green and losing their intensity of color with the light passing through them.

However, even though she looked like the rest of the girls, ordinary and nothing special, there was something special about her. Except for the simple but colorful outfit of a pair of baggy leather jeans, a top and a pink shirt, there was something about her, maybe in her voice, or maybe in her look, that made her stand out from the rest. I couldn't figure out what, but I knew it was something.

- I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long, she ontinued, feeling embarrassed as she ran a hand through her straight hair.

- Keep calm, I didn't wait very long. Honestly, I didn't keep track of the time, but I haven't arrived yet, I say, laughing.

- Huh, Anne sighed, leaning her chest forward.

- We should go in, not make the others wait for us now.

- Yes, indeed, I completely forgot! she cried, trembling.

I smile at she again, motioning for she to enter first. I followed her into the school yard, heading towards the groups of teenagers.

I didn't know anyone and I'm not very social. It's not that I have a hard time talking, but I think too much sometimes and when it comes out I can't clear my mind and feel surrounded and intimidated. I didn't deal with too nice people at my former school, at least, too nice boys.

- Miren, this is our bench, Anne shouted to my motionless body in the doorway.

That got a lot of stares, I tell myself, walking timidly through the crowded benches.

I sit next to my colleague and start a conversation, something that is not specific to me. Looking at her more closely I noticed how pale she was.

Looking at her further, I noticed behind her a pair of eyes looking at us. No, they were actually examining me, every move, gesture, word. That boy on the next bench was looking at me curiously. There was something in his eyes, his eyes were troubled, like an ocean after a storm, but still calm. What actually caught my attention was not his gaze fixed on me, but the colleague in front of him. He was a curly, tall, well-built boy, also dressed in black.

I wanted to see him for a moment. I wanted to know who it was. Still looking at him, I slipped my hand over the phone on the bench, accidentally knocking it over. He suddenly turned to me.

For a few seconds I couldn't move, I was stuck. His appearance was different from everyone else's. He had a spark in his eye that persisted more and more. I don't know who he was, what his name was, or what he was thinking at the time. I'm not sure about any of this. But I can testify that she had the most beautiful brown eyes I have ever seen.
