Full on Dumplings
Waitress
"Your order, sir."
The waiter nodded and went back to their duties.
Seeing the dumplings laid out for him on the plate, he stared at it in awe
Venti
"Wah! That's a lot of dumplings you ordered."
Venti stated, eyeing lovely sight of food in front of him. Zhongli grumbled before taking a bite of his own dumpling.
Zhongli
𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒑𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆. 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒐 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅?
Zhongli shook his thoughts away and glancing back at Venti. He sweat dropped.
He watched as each dumpling Venti could get his hand on was already devoured on.
Leaving Zhongli no spares. Venti cheeks was puffing up as he chewed the big version of the dumplings. Although Zhongli wouldn't admit this out loud he found this action very cute
Venti
"Hehe Zwongwi, I wuv ywo!" (Hehe Zhongli, I love you)
Zhongli chuckled before replying
Zhongli
"I love you too. However…"
Venti
"Wah! Ow ow ow!" *Whines as Zhongli starts pinching his cheeks*
Zhongli
"Don't talk with your mouth full."
Zhongli places a kiss on Venti's forehead as the little bard snuggles closer to him.
Waitress
"Ahem, Mr. Zhongli, the uhm payment for the meals."
Zhongli coughed, slightly flustered before shaking it off
Zhongli
"Oh right.... Here."
Zhongli handed a bag of mora to the lady as she excused herself and left
Venti
"Zhongli since your in a good mood today. Can I have more dumplings?"
Zhongli
"Venti, I already ordered three batches of them. How are you not full?"
Venti took one of the dumplings and ate it whole. Savoring its texture and flavor. Zhongli could tell there were eyes on them but couldn't careless
Zhongli
"Your still the same as always,"
Chapter 1
[God Of Time M!Reader x Venti]
Another quiet and peaceful evening in Mondstadt. The cold breeze and twinkling stars shining in the night sky were a beautiful sight to see. The young bard of Mond, sat on top the hands of his statue, humming tunes of old and tragic stories of the past. Many years have passed since he hovered around Mondstadt as the anemo archon, Barbatos. Flicking one of his lyre's thin strings, he heaves a sigh.
He briefly believed he heard the jingle of a bell, but quickly disregarded the idea. He didn't know he wasn't alone until he felt arms around his midsection and a heavy head resting on his shoulder.
[Name]
"What's wrong Barbatos?"
The voice was muffled as they buried their face into the bard's shoulder
Venti
"Its Venti… Not Barbatos."
Venti corrected for the 6th time
[Name]
"Mm, I could sense you feel down, Is there something wrong?"
[Name] tighten his arms around Venti's waist. He was really concerned about him.
Venti
"Even If I tell you will easily forget it..."
[Name]
"If it's coming from you, I don't mind remembering it."
Venti sighed and notice him trying to soothe him by gently holding his hand.
Tears started spilling from the bard's eyes. Venti cries wasn't too loud, but they were soft. Maybe too soft. But it makes [Name] wants to hold him forever and protect him to any exposing danger. He caresses his hair to soothe him and to let him no that you were still there, listening to him.
[Name] didn't care of what was going in the Mortal Realm. You barely never even paid a single interest. He actually wondered of what was going on there since Venti was venting his tears out until his eyes went puffy.
Venti
"Okay...I'm ready now."
[Name]
"Hm? Are you sure? We can stay like this for a bit longer."
Venti
"N-no, no, it's alright. I'm good."
Venti gently pulled away from [Name]'s hold, a bit embarrassed with himself.
Venti sweat dropped. He was expecting something else.
Venti
"You can at least show a bit of emotion in your words…"
Venti mumbled, pouting slightly as he puffed his cheeks.
[Name]
"Did you say something?"
Venti laughed awkwardly and turned aside as [Name] raised an eyebrow at him.
[Name]
"You know, you don't have to forget the past."
Venti turned to the goddess, slightly taken aback at the response.
[Name] made contact with the bard's forehead. From [Name]'s mark on his forehead, a blue light began to glow.
[Name]
"Life is naturally cruel, and we just need to learn how to deal with it."
Just silence remained left once the atmosphere softened. As the sun slowly rose from the horizon, the wind began to build up.
[Name]
"That's my cue to leave then. I will be going now."
He vanished completely in the distance of one blink. As the sun starts to emerge and shine its dazzling light into the city of freedom, his cape and braids are blowing in the wind. A smile started to appear on Venti's face as he watched the sun come up.
The bard touched his forehead.
Venti
"Mabye he is right. I should move on..."
Chapter 2
After that talk with [Name], one day ago. Venti was just coming out of the Church of Favonius and now he have found himself running from the two beast in armor that had just emerged out of the ground.
Lucky Aether came to his rescue and use his Palm Vortex, grasping the wind's might, Aether forms a vortex of vacuum in their palm, causing continuous Anemo damage to the enemy infront of them.
The beast in armor is being pursued by Aether, but they have already escaped by submerging in the emptiness below. They were hit by a brief snowstorm, which Venti quickly dispersed before realizing he was unable to move because of the ice.
La Signora
"At last, Mondstadt's rodent ruler in the flesh."
La Signora walks closer to Venti as she emerged from the smoke.
La Signora
"Scurrying through the streets, looking for leftovers..."
She holds Venti's face while intently inspecting it.
La Signora
"Mondstadt call this a god?"
Venti
"Resident rodent...beats invasive vermin-"
La Signora slaps the bard before he could even finish his sentence.
La Signora
"Don't you dare speak back to me, insolent bard."
Venti focus on such concentrated power that is breaking the ice slowly taking the ice.
La Signora
"Look at you, absentee archon of Mondstadt."
La Signora
"How impotent you have become..."
Venti looks up at the woman standing right infront of him.
Venti
"That smirk you wear looks out of place."
Venti
"Did you steal it from your master's face?"
Venti could see that he really ticked her off cause she sent him flying back but he still manage to stand
La Signora
"Should have held your tongue."
She sprinted through Venti and pressed her hand into the bard's chest, pulling out what appeared to be something.
Venti fell on his knees, breathing heavily as La Signora held the small object in her hand admiring it.
La Signora
"So this is a Gnosis? Wouldn't be caught wearing this ugly thing in public."
Venti
"Beauty is a waste...when the beholder has no taste..."
Venti spoke the words, grunting in pain as he hold his chest.
As Aether pronounced those words, a white mist appeared in front of the archon. As the fog vanished into thin air, clearing the time goddess, this was his first appearance in the mortal realm infront of somebody other than Venti.
He looks at the bard laying down on the floor and a frown could be seen on his face. He glance back at the culprit.
[Name]
"So your the one that hurt him?"
La Signora
"So what if I am? What are you going to do about it?"
[Name]
"You should be punished..."
[Name] mumbled to himself. He extends his arm towards her. La Signora felt an agonizing agony in her body, as if her insides were being squeezed.
La Signora
"W-what are you doing to me?!"
[Name]'s sole intention was to punish. He had no idea he had triggered his power. A strong blue intense aura surrounded the time Goddess, and blue markings began to appear on various places of his body, as well as the blue marking on his forehead began to glow.
Venti open his eyes as noticed the scene infront of him.
Venti
"[Name]? Wait stop! Release her..."
In a matter of seconds, [Name] recognized Venti's voice and let go of La Signora. She summoned her minions and fled. He scoops up the injured bard after looking at him. The blue markings fade away and the mark on his forehead stop glowing.
He glances at the traveler and approaches him, kneeling down and still holding Venti in his arms and say one word to him.
And the traveler felt a surge of drowsiness and closed his eyes.
[Name]
"That place you always like to hang around, what was the name again?"
[Name]
[Name] pondered to himself and he stood up looking around.
[Name] pondered to himself and he stood up looking around.
[Name]
"Hm, I will just fly around and see if I can find that place..."
He flew in the sky trying to find the place. He spotted a big tree and landed on soft grass. He gently places Venti under the tree and sat beside him.
[Name] sighed as he looked at the bard's expression. The bard remained sound slumber. He couldn't figure out why Venti had stopped him from hurting the woman.
He held the archon's face in his hands.
[Name]
"Restrain yourself from getting into any trouble."
[Name] whisper before standing up and disappear into thin air leaving the sleeping Venti under the tree to heal.
Venti wake up to see that he was sitting under the tree that he usual sit under.
Venti
"Huh? I don't remember going here by myself."
Venti stands up to admire the tree that stood before
Venti
"Mm the wind amongst the branches is good, I love the way it smells."
Venti turns to see the traveler standing behind him.
Venti
"Haha. I said the exact same exact thing the last time. Why do I always say these things when I'm down on my luck..."
Aether
"Venti, are you feeling well? I can't exactly remember what happened."
Aether
"Who was the person that appeared out of nowhere?"
Venti was confused at first. But there was person he know that always appear out of nowhere and then just disappear.
Venti
"You must be talking about [Name]."
Venti
"Well if you read books you should know there's a time goddess. Well he's real."
Venti
"Ehe, How do I explain this?"
The Bard asks himself, placing an index finger on his chin in an attempt to make the situation clear.
Venti
"[Name] only visits the mortal realm to pay me a visit. As a result, seeing him here is unusual."
Venti
"He basically controls time, but I'm not going to teach you about him, instead, go ask Lisa for a book like that, or maybe I'll lend you one."
The traveler nodded his head.
Venti
"Your probaby wondering what's gnosis."
Traveler nodded as if he read his mind
Venti
"This isn't something I'm meant to discuss with ordinary people. But I suppose I can let you in on the secret."
Venti
"As you know, Visions are external magical foci that only a small minority of people possess. They use these Visions to channel elemental power."
Venti
"In truth, every wielder of a Vision is one who can attain godhood and ascend to Celestia. We call such people allogenes."
Paimon
"Allogenes? Paimon's never heard of them before."
Venti
"Hehe, that's because this is a secret that only archons are privy to. We don't need primitive tools like Visions."
Venti
"Instead, each archon has an internal magical focus that resonates directly with Celestia itself... known as a Gnosis."
Paimon
"So who was that nasty woman who sent Paimon flying and stole your Gnosis?"
Venti
"Her name is Signora, No. 8 of the harbingers."
Venti
"She and the rest of the harbingers have been given god-like executive authority by the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya, and with it, strength surpassing that of other mortals."
Paimon
"The Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya? Isn't that..."
Venti
"Indeed. She is one of The Seven, the Tsaritsa who reigns from the Zapolyarny Palace, and the one person that the Fatui Harbingers all answer to."
Venti
"The Seven don't always get along well, but still I never thought that she would plot to steal another archon's Gnosis..."
Venti
"Ah... How should I put this?"
Venti said thinking another way to shorten it down.
Venti
"Five hundred years ago, I knew her well. But I can't say the same is true now."
Venti
"You see, a certain catastrophe happened five hundred years ago, and after that, she cut off all ties with me."
Venti
"But we can save discussion of the Cryo Archon and the Fatui for another day."
Venti then looked at the traveler with an serious look.
Venti
"Aether, if you seek the rest of The Seven, many difficulties lie ahead of you still."
Venti
"You should head for Mondstadt's neighboring nation of Liyue, The Geo Archon who reigns there, unlike me, administrates his entire region personally."
Venti
"He only descends once every year to give his divine predictions, which set the direction for Liyue for the rest of that year."
Paimon
"Even so, it sounds like he works much harder than a certain someone."
Venti knew that was pointed directly at him.
Venti
"..In any case, this year's Rite of Descension is soon to begin. If you miss it, you'll just have to wait another year."
Paimon
"WHAT!? Why didn't you tell us before? Well then bye. Aether, we're going!"
Before they went Venti stopped them
Venti
"One moment, Windborne Outlander."
Venti
"Haha, just use it gratefully or, better yet, treat me to a glass of dandelion wine."
Venti
"Traveler, as you set off on your journey once again, you must remember that the journey itself has meaning."
Venti
"The birds of Teyvat, the songs and the cities, the Tsaritsa, her Fatui and the monsters... they are all part of your journey."
Venti
"The destination is not everything. So before you reach the end, keep your eyes open. Use the chance to take in the world around you..."
The bard smiles and ended the conversation there.
Venti
"Great. So that's that for the Anemo Archon's admonishments! Back to Venti Time!"
Venti
"If you want to chat, now's the time-a bard stays not always in a single clime."
After answering the traveler questions they headed off to the new journey and Venti decided to stay here a bit longer.
It was getting late and Venti was still waiting for [Name] to arrive.
Venti put his hand on his chest and looked at the sky.
Venti
"Are you even coming....?"
Venti whispered under his breath, looking down. The bard just needed to talk someone.
[Name] hasn't visited Venti in two days. The archon was becoming concerned and telling himself that he was probably fine. Venti was at his usual drinking place in the 'local taverns' in the middle of the day.
Venti
"One dandelion wine, please~"
His order arrived a few minutes later. After only one taste, he finds himself ordering more, and he's now drunken.
Venti
"[Name]~! Why did you leave me?"
Venti sputtering nonsense he was not really aware of his words. He started getting emotional of the thought of [Name] leaving him.
Sobbing, the bard lowered his head on the table. He became aware of a hand ruffling his hair. He raised his head to see who it was.
He appeared to have cast a spell on him because no one noticed there was a time Goddness in the room they were in.
[Name]
"You seem to be the Venti I'm looking for, why are you here?"
It seems like the reason that he didn't visit Venti, well it was simple. He had just forgotten to.
Venti thrown himself onto the goddess's arms, still weeping.
Venti
"I- i thought you w-want to l-leave me!"
[Name] was shocked by the action but his face still remained blank, he didn't know how to feel in this situation.
The time goddesses slowly return the hug
[Name]
"What's that lingering smell on you?"
He askes, sniffing the scent of wine on him.
Venti responded looking up at the time god.
[Name] didn't reply, he was lost in thoughts. Venti places both his hands on [Name]'s face and kisses him on the cheek and starts nuzzling on his cheek.
Venti
"Don't ignore me [Name]~"
This action of Venti caught [Name] off guard for second.
He wanted to bring Venti somewhere but had forgotten where. Its better if Venti regain his consciousness because Venti was already actimg weird towards [Name]
[Name]
"I'm not ignoring you."
[Name] was honesty was not pleased by the arguement, and do not wish to drag this on further.
He picks Venti out of the tavern bring him back to the big tree.
Venti
"Wah! Why are you bringing me here? I want to go back!"
[Name]
"I don't see why you want to go back to the messed up place."
[Name] places Venti under the tree and Venti makes this pouty look on his face.
[Name]
"Why don't you just go to sleep? Its already late."
Venti
"No because if I do you will disappear when I wake up."
[Name]
"Hm? Your just going to stare at me all night?"
The male sighed as looks at the bard.
[Name]
"I will be here when you wake up."
[[Name] covers Venti's eyes with his hands, and Venti begins to sleep. After noticing his light snores, he begins to wander around the area, and after a short time, he forgets why he was here and decides to leave. Ignoring the poor bard.
