Louis inhaled sharply clutching his armrest of the throne and tried not to show any hint of rage as he relaxed his facial muscles.
He knew he can't oppose this to the emperor, who also happened to be his father.

Louis sighed for the thousandth time today, as he reached the curtain to peek out of the tiny window of royal carriage.
Soft breeze rushed inside the space, ruffling the prince's black colored hair.

How much more do I have to sit in this cramped space?
They had been going on for a fortnight, Louis muscles were cramped, asking for any kind of movement.
William
If we keep going on at this speed, then we should be able to reach the castle by dawn, Your Highness.
His personal guard and best friend, William sighed.
Louis groaned, drawing the curtains harshly and running a hand through his hairs.
He was about to get married to a complete stranger, and he wasn't allowed to protest or else his kingdom would have to face the deadly consequence.
The thought of spending the rest of his life with an unknown person, terrified Louis to his core.
He didn't even know what his future spouse looked like. The only information he had captured was the Crown prince's name.
An indescribable feeling of hate crawled up to his heart.
Tears pricked his eyes, threatening to flow, but he held them at bay. Like he was taught.
He didn't even know the man, and he already loathed the prince for ruining his fućking life.
He was taught to not show any emotions. He was trained to keep his face like a blank canvas and was told that showing his tears was a sign of weakness. So he did.
He dabbed his wet eyes with his sleeve and leaned against the window, fearing the arrival of his doom.

the Zenith empire
Louis was jolted awake by the carriage coming to a sudden halt.
He rubbed his eyes, as the Sun rays of early morning came through the translucent curtain.
He heard hushed murmurs coming from outside. Just as he was about to inquire, the door of the carriage opened, revealing William.
William
We have arrived at the Capital city of Dalerin, Your Highness.
William bowed and extended his hand to Louis, who rolled his eyes and stepped out of the suffocating space.
Louis looked around, and a gasp escaped his lips.
A beautiful garden was stretched across the horizon, with a variety of flowers, trees and bushes.
The birds chirped in harmony creating a soothing melody which filled the entire field.
He was so mesmerized by the beauty around his that he almost did not notice the magnificent castle standing proudly amidst the lush grass.
Another shocked gasp made it's way on to lips as he stared at the immensely huge castle in front of him.
The castle walls were high up there, made up of various precious stones.
Louis
🗯 : It is definitely bigger than my kingdom's palace.
He turned to look at William, who motioned for him to start walking towards the castle gates.
Louis face turned sour has he was going to meet his future husband.
Though he was scared he held his head high and looked confident and walked like a royal.
Louis
🗯: Ain't going to show them my weak side.
As he neared the entrance, he spotted the Emperor, with his wife and a few guards standing in front of the gates.

Louis felt uneasy, and his anxiety reached the roof.
His hands were sweaty and his heart beat uncomfortably in his chest.
Louis did his best to hold the emperor's gaze and kneeled down on one knee, fist held against his chest.

It's a pleasure to meet you, Your Majesty.

Oh, please stand on your feet, there is no need for the formality. You are going to be a part of the family after all.
Louis slowly lifted himself from the kneeling position and gave her a small smile.
Family. Louis almost scoffed in front of everyone.
The lady stepped forward a engulfed him in a hug, which threw Louis off-guard.
He carefully wrapped his hand around and hugged her softly.
She released the hug and smiled widely.
