"Kane, wait up your walking too fast again," Ezra yelled. Kane stopped and waited for him. "You walk way too fast," Ezra stated. "Nah you're just slow," Kane replied. "Ugh, where's Atlas? He said he'd meet us here after class," Ezra said. "He's probably finishing up. I'm sure he will be here soon," Kane said. After some time Atlas showed up but he wasn't alone. "Sorry I took so long I had to show Akito around the school. He's a freshman just like you and me," Atlas said happily. "He's tall," Ezra stated. "Oh right Akito these are my friends Kane and Ezra," Atlas said. "Hello," Akito said. "What's your major," Ezra asked. "The same as Kane's. He has a lot of the same classes as him. He has some with you as well Ezra," Atlas said. "Oh, then we can go to class together when it's time," Ezra said. "Kane you can go with him to your guys' classes cant you," Atlas asked. "Yea if that's alright with Akito," Kane said. Akito nodded then pulled out his phone. He replied to a message then put it away and looked at the others who were still talking. "I have to get going," Akito stated. "Oh alrighty. See you tomorrow Akito," Atlas said happily. Akito left leaving the others behind. "He's kinda intimidating. Also looks like he's gotten into a fight," Ezra said. "Well, he seems nice. What do you think Kane," Atlas said. "He's mysterious alright but he does seem nice," Kane said as he started walking away. "Hey don't just leave us," Ezra said. "Then keep up," Kane said.

"Yay finally home," Atlas said walking through the door. A dog ran over to him knocking to the floor. "Ahh hahaha did you miss us that much," Atlas said laughing. Woof! Woof! "Luna come on girl let's go for a walk," Ezra said. Woof! Woof! Luna barked and danced around happily. Ezra grabbed the leash and then left with Luna. Atlas went along with them. Kane sighed then went up to his room. As he was setting his things down and changing he heard a loud noise from the kitchen. He then heard what sounded like gunshots and shouting. "Come on Snake you can't hide in there forever," a voice sounded from outside. "We know you're wounded," another yelled. "Boss we need to leave," a voice said from inside the house. "Fuyuki is right sir. Plus I think there might be someone here," another voice stated. "We can't exactly walk out the front door," Snake said. "But sir it's not safe here," Fuyuki said. "We can get read of the Slitthroats outback then sneak out that way," a voice said. "Hymir's right boss," Fuyuki said. "Do it. Just don't kill anyone unless it's necessary," Snake said. "We do boss. Now sit here and keep pressure on your wound," Hymir said. Fuyuki and Hymir went outside while Snake sat in the kitchen waiting.

Kane quietly got up off the bed and went over to his desk. He picked up his phone but ended up knocking his bag to the floor. Snake heard the sound but remained seated. Kane sighed in relief then quietly made his way back to his bed. He called Ezra. "Hey, Kane what's up? Do you want something from the store," Ezra answered. "No," Kane whispered. "Why are you whispering? Is everything alright," Ezra asked as he stopped walking. Atlas turned towards him. "There's someone in the house," Kane whispered then went quiet. Ezra heard shouting and gunshots. "Where are you at in the house right now," Ezra asked worriedly. "Im hiding in my room. I know for sure that there's one guy inside," Kane answered. "Did you hear what his name is," Ezra asked as he motioned for Atlas to call the police. "I heard someone call him Snake," Kane whispered. "Alrighty just stay in your room. We have called the police and they should be there soon. We are headed back as well," Ezra stated. "Alright," Kane said just before his phone died. Kane quietly got up from his bed and went to his desk. He put his phone on the charger. He tried to pull his desk chair out quietly but unfortunately, it made a sound. Two people entered the room and grabbed him. They brought him downstairs and threw them in front of Snake. "Boss you should've cleared the house before resting here," a man said. "Bones the boss is injured how can he make sure the house is clear," another said. "Then Fuyuki and Hymir should've checked," Bones said. Kane knelt there trembling and looking at the ground. "You two shut it and leave," Snake shouted. "What about him boss," Bones asked. "I'll take care of him you two out now," Snake yelled. "Yes sir," they said and left. "Lift your head," Snake said. Kane trembled as he looked up at Snake. Tears were rolling down his cheeks. "Don't worry I won't kill you," Snake said. "Y...y...you won't," Kane said still trembling. "As long as you tell no one of this," Snake stated. Kane agreed to tell no one what had just happened. Just then they heard sirens. "Boss it's time to leave," Bones said. "Yes, it is," Snake said standing up. He winced in pain before falling. Bones and the other guy caught him. Kane stood there in the back. "You get the door," Bones yelled. Kane jumped and quickly opened the door. After they left Kane talked with the police. Once Ezra and Atlas arrived he had calmed down. They cleaned up the house and then headed to sleep.

That next morning Kane went into the kitchen to see Ezra and Atlas sitting at the table. "Good morning Kane," Atlas said happily. "Morning guys," Kane said. "How are you feeling today," Ezra asked. "Im alright," Kane answered. "Are you gonna be able to go to your classes today," Ezra asked. "Yea," Kane replied. "Alrighty have breakfast then we will go," Atlas said. They finished their food and headed off to the school. Once there they waited for Akito to arrive. "He said he'd meet us here," Atlas said. "Well he isn't here," Ezra said. "Maybe he's just running late," Kane said. "I can message him or call him. I got his number yesterday before we went and met up with you guys," Atlas said. "Well then do it," Ezra said. Atlas pulled out his phone and called Akito when no one answered he left a message. They waited for a bit longer before heading to class. During lunch, Atlas called Akito again but there was still no answer. Atlas gave Kane Akito's number to try calling while he had a class to go to. Ezra also had to leave for a class. Kane sat alone outside on a bench near the school. He pulled out his phone and dialed the number Atlas had given him. He called it and waited for someone to answer. "Hello," someone answered. "Uh hi is this Akito," Kane asked. "Yes who is this," Akito answered. "It's me Kane. We met yesterday. Atlas gave me your number," Kane replied. "I see what is that you need Kane," Akito asked. "You didn't show up to school. Is everything alright," Kane asked. "Yes, don't worry about it. I'll be back at school in a couple of weeks," Akito said. "Is everything alright," Kane asked again. "Yes just a fam (Akito was interrupted.) A door opened and two people walked in. "Brother you're not supposed to be up," someone said. "Arlo did you forget how to knock," Akito said. "Tokoyami isn't gonna be happy if he finds out your up and moving around," Arlo said. Akito sighed then sat down. "Kane I will go now," Akito said suddenly. "Oh alright take care," Kane said. Akito hung up the phone and turned towards Arlo. "Sorry, I didn't realize you were on the phone. By the way who's Kane," Arlo asked. "A kid at the school I'm going to," Akito answered laying down. "Oh wait are you finally making friends," Arlo asked happily. "No he's in the same major as me," Akito said. "You should make some friends brother. You don't have any," Arlo said giving Akito some medicine. "I have Fuyuki and Hymir," Akito said. "Your snakes," Arlo said. "Yea did you forget what they are actually," Akito asked. "I didn't forget," Arlo said. Just then a girl walked in. "Here you are Akito. I made you some soup," the girl said. "Thank you, Veronica," Akito said taking the tray from her. "Come on Arlo. Let your brother rest," Veronica said. "Yes, dear. See you later brother," Arlo said. After they left Akito ate the soup and then went to bed.

"Kane," a voice called out. Kane turned around and saw Ezra and Atlas walking toward him. "Hey guys," Kane said. "What you doing here," Ezra asked. "Akito said he'd be at school today. Asked me to wait at the entrance since he doesn't know where the classes are," Kane replied. "He's finally coming to the school. He's been out for weeks," Atlas stated. "True. I wonder what happened to him," Atlas said. "I'm sure he had a reason," Kane said. "There he is," Atlas said. Kane turned back around. "Well, we're gonna get going now, Kane. We'll see you after school," Atlas said happily before dragging Ezra away. "Our first class is this way," Kane said. "Okay," Akito said. He followed Kane into a huge classroom. "I sit in the back I think there are open seats in the front if you want to sit there," Kane stated as he began to walk toward the back. "I'll sit next to you if that's okay," Akito said suddenly. "That's alright. There's no one sitting next to me so the seats open," Kane said. Akito followed Kane to the back and then sat down next to him. The professor entered then began to make sure all the students were there. "Akito it's nice of you to finally join my class," the professor said. Akito didn't say anything and just looked at the professor. "No need for an explanation," the professor stated. After he checked that everyone was present he began his lecture. Akito saw that Kane was taking notes as the professor talked. Akito looked down at his notebook then grabbed a pencil and began taking notes as well. After some time the bell rang and the class was dismissed. "Akito," Kane said suddenly. Akito looked up at him. "You have a class with Ezra now. Do you want me to have him take you? He passes by here anyway," Kane asked. Akito nodded then stood up. "Alright I'll send him a message," Kane said pulling out his phone. Akito stood up and through his bag over his shoulder. "He's waiting outside already," Kane said. "Okay," Akito said then followed him out of the classroom. "Hey Ezra," Kane said. "Yo. By the way, Atlas wants us to go with him after school," Ezra stated. "Where to," Kane asked. "I don't know he wouldn't say," Ezra answered. "Well, im gonna head to my next class. Akito I'll message you when I leave the class Akito," Kane said. "Okay," Akito said. "See you, Kane," Ezra said waving. Kane waved back before disappearing around the corner.

"Alright man it's just me and you now. So let's head to class," Ezra said. Akito followed Ezra to the next class. "You know you could walk beside me instead of behind me," Ezra said. "Okay," Akito said. "By the way man how old are you," Ezra asked. "24," Akito answered. "Damn really. I thought you were 19 or 20. I'm 22," Ezra said. Akito stuck his arm out and Ezra walked into it. "Ah man, why did you stop," Ezra asked stepping up beside him. Akito didn't say anything but looked over at Ezra. "You really don't talk much do you," Ezra asked. "Oi Ezra who's your friend," a voice shouted. "Oh it's you guys again. What is it this time," Ezra asked. "I believe you know the answer to that Ezra," the man said. "Well unfortunately for you I don't have any money at the moment and I don't feel like dealing with you," Ezra replied. "Not the correct answer Ezra," the man said. "Look I'm gonna be late for class. I promised the professor I wouldn't be late this time. Plus I can't make my friend here late," Ezra said. "Oh so he is your friend," the man said. "We will go now," Ezra said tried walking past them. "Not so fast Ezra," the man said as his friends grabbed him. Akito stood there and watched. "Come on dude don't do this," Ezra said. "No can do Ezra. Besides your so-called friend doesn't seem to care or be in the hurry," the man said. Ezra looked over at Akito who was looking at his phone then back at the man in front of him. "Well he doesn't really have anything to do with this so don't mind him," Ezra said. The man motioned for two other people to approach Akito. "Hey wait don't bother him. He really has nothing to do with this Matt," Ezra said. "He's here with you isn't and you clearly said he was your friend. Gives us what we want and neither of you will get hurt," Matt said. "Look I really don't have the money right now. I can get it to you soon," Ezra said. "What the hell did you do to my men," Matt said suddenly. Ezra looked over at Akito who was standing over two of Matt's men. "I warned them to leave," Akito said walking over. "Hey you stay there," Matt said. "Will you let Ezra go now? We are gonna be late to class," Akito asked annoyed. "Not til he gives me what I want," Matt said. "Look Matt I promise I'll get the rest to you when I can," Ezra said. Matt turned around and then went to punch Ezra in the face. Ezra closed his eyes and braced himself but when he opened them he saw everyone unconscious and on the ground. "Akito what happened," Ezra asked standing up. "I got annoyed but now we can head to class," Akito answered. Ezra leads the way to class.

After school, Akito and Kane waited for the others outside the entrance. "What happened to your eye," Kane asked. "Nothing serious just got into a fight," Akito answered. "What why," Kane asked. "They started it," Akito answered. "What the hell. What was it about," Kane asked. "Not sure you'd have to ask Ezra they were hassling him," Akito answered looking at his phone again. "Is Ezra alright they didn't hurt him did they," Kane asked. "Ezra's fine no need to worry," Akito said. "Oh thank god. Last time he ended up in the hospital. Matt and his men are horrible people," Kane said. "What are they wanting from your friend," Akito asked turning towards Kane. "It's cause of his father. That's all I can tell you," Kane answered. Akito's phone started to ring so he walked away to answer it. "Kane we're finally done," Atlas yelled running over to him. "Why are you Atlas," Kane asked. "Cause I felt like it," Atlas laughs. Ezra walked over to them. "Ezra are you alright Ezra," Kane asked. "Yea I'm fine. Did Akito tell you what happened," Ezra replied. "Yes he did," Kane said. "Wait what happened Ezra," Atlas asked worriedly. "I'm alright Atlas Don't worry," Ezra said hugging him. "Akito will you be coming with us," Atlas asked breaking the hug and turning towards Akito. "Where are you guys headed," Akito asked. "Hmm, it's a surprise so I can't say," Atlas answered. "Okay, I'll go," Akito said putting his phone away. "Yay let's go then. Follow me," Atlas said happily. "We gotta stop by the house first and walk Luna, Atlas," Ezra said. "Yea I know don't worry," Atlas said happily. "Can you just tell us what we're doing," Kane asked. "Nope then it won't be a surprise," Atlas said. "Dang well, I tried," Kane laughed. "That was you trying," Ezra said. "Yep and I did my best," Kane stated. Ezra Kane and Atlas laughed while Akito looked down at his phone. "Akito," Kane said. Akito looked over at him. "Is everything alright," Kane asked. "Yes, why," Akito answered. "You looked a little annoyed," Kane said. "It's nothing," Akito said putting his phone away. "I and Ezra will walk Luna real quick. You guys wait here. Once we get back we can leave," Atlas said as he opened the door. Once they entered the house Atlas called for Luna. But when she didn't come they began to search for her. "Your back door is open," Akito said walking out of the kitchen. "She must have gotten out then," Atlas said sadly. "Don't worry Atlas we'll find her," Ezra said. "Let's go out and look for her. Maybe the neighbors have her," Kane said. "Alrighty," Atlas said.

They spent hours searching for Luna but couldn't find her. Atlas was worried that she could be hurt or someone took her. They met back up at the house where they waiting for Akito. "I thought he went with you Kane," Ezra said. "He was with me in the beginning but then I lost him," Kane answered. "Hmm," Atlas thought. "What's wrong," Ezra asked. "Who left the back door open? I thought we shut it," Atlas replied. "We did but maybe she managed to get it open," Kane said. "I guess we better start locking it," Ezra said. "I thought it was locked," Atlas stated. "I'll go look at the door," Kane said then went inside to the back door. Atlas and Ezra followed him into the kitchen. "Someone broke in," Kane said turning towards them. "What why we don't have anything worth stealing," Atlas said. "I don't know," Kane said. Atlas began to cry again as he thought that they had taken Luna instead. Ezra tried to calm him and even took him into their room. Kane went upstairs and into his room. He messaged Akito but never received a reply. Every day they would go out and search for Luna. Atlas was starting to think that they would never find her. Ezra and Kane tried their best to reassure him.

"Has anyone heard from Akito," Atlas asked. "No," Kane said. "Nope, it's been four days now. I hope he's alright. Last time he's been gone for weeks," Ezra replied. "I hope we find Luna soon," Atlas said looking at the ground. "We'll find her don't worry," Ezra replied then hugged Atlas. "Let's get to class. We will look again alright," Kane said. "Alright," Atlas replied. They went to their classes but throughout the day Atlas was still finding it hard to focus during the lectures. He couldn't stop thinking about Luna. After his last class, he received a message from Kane saying to meet them at the entrance. When he arrived there he saw Ezra and Kane waiting for him. "Why did you tell me to meet you guys here," Atlas asked. "I don't know Akito messaged me and said for us to meet here," Kane stated. "Huh weird. We haven't heard from him in four days," Atlas said. "I'm sure he has a reason," Ezra stated. "He said he's here and to come to the school parking lot," Kane said. "Why back there," Ezra asked. "Dont know he didn't say," Kane stated. They went to the school parking lot but didn't see him. As they continued to look they heard a dog barking happily. They stopped walking and looked around when a dog ran over towards them jumping up on Atlas and knocking him down. "Luna it's you," Atlas said happily while starting to cry. Ezra started to pet Luna as well. "We're so glad your back girl," Ezra said. "She seems glad to be back," Akito said suddenly. "Did you find her," Kane asked. "Yes," Akito replied handing Kane a leash. Kane took it then handed it to Ezra who attached it to Luna. Ezra pulled Luna off Atlas then helped him up. "Thank you Akito for finding her," Atlas said. "You're welcome," Akito said. "Let's get home and give u a bath," Ezra said.

Once they got home Atlas took Luna and went into the bathroom. "Really Akito thank you a lot he's been depressed the past four days," Ezra said. "Glad to be of help," Akito said. Ezra smiled and then went to help Atlas. "Where'd you find her? We were thinking someone took her," Kane asked. "I saw her running the streets near my house. It's possible someone did take her considering where I live is nowhere near here," Akito stated. "If you live that far why did you agree to come with us," Kane asked. "You asked me to come hang out," Akito replied. "But I didn't realize you lived that far away," Kane said. "Where do you live," Ezra asked walking over to them. "The other side of town," Akito answered. "Damn that's far," Ezra said. Luna ran into the room happily barking. Atlas followed her laughing. "So glad your happy again," Ezra said walking over to him. "I will get going now," Akito said walking towards the door. "Oh alrighty thanks again for finding our dog," Atlas said. "Hey wait do you want your leash back," Ezra asked. "Keep it I don't own a dog," Akito replied then left. "Did he really buy it just to help us with Luna," Ezra asked. "Looks that way. Also, he handed me this bag," Kane said handing it to Atlas. "Wow, it's a collar and electric fence stuff as well as id tags. Did he get all this for Luna," Arlas said. "Let me see," Ezra said. He pulled out the collar and tags and then looked them over. "Her name and our info are on the id tags," Ezra stated. "He didn't have to do any of this," Atlas said. "This is stuff we talked about doing when we had the money," Ezra said. "I may have talked about it with him while we were looking for Luna. But I didn't think he'd do it for us. This cost a lot of money to do," Kane stated. "Well, it sure was nice of him. We should do something for him. What do you think girl," Atlas said while petting Luna. Luna barked happily. "I think she agrees," Atlas laughed. "Maybe this weekend if Kane's off," Ezra said. "I am," Kane answered. "Alright then we're gonna do something Akito as a thank you," Atlas said excitedly.

That weekend Atlas had created a group chat with the others and had messaged them to meet up. Akito sent a message back with an address. "Is this the right place," Atlas asked. "This is the address he sent us," Kane said. "Let's just knock on the door," Ezra said. "Alrighty," Atlas said then knocked on the door. A tall man opened the door and greeted them. "Hi uh is Akito here," Atlas asked. "Yes, who might you three be," the man asks. "We are his friends. He sent us this address but didn't tell us anything," Ezra said. "Come in. I will inform Master Akito of your arrival," the man said. He leads them into the living room. "Wait here," the man said then left. "Wow this place is huge," Atlas said. "Is this really where he lives," Ezra asked. Atlas suddenly yelled and jumped up. "Atlas what's wrong," Ezra asked. Atlas pointed at the couch. Ezra and Kane looked where he was pointed and they saw a huge black snake slithering onto the couch. It stopped and stared right at them. Just then someone walked into the room. They saw the snake and sighed. "Brother Hymir got out again," the boy yelled. "Why are you telling me? Tell Akito it's his snakes," a voice replied. The boy sighed and messaged Akito about the snake. "Sorry about that. Don't worry he's friendly," the boy said. "Akito owns a snake," Atlas asked. "Yes, he owns two actually. Bother are very rare snakes. Hymir here likes to get out of the room," the boy said. "It has its own room," Ezra asked. "Yes, he does. Akito spoils them. By the way who are guys," the boy asked. "I'm Kane this is Atlas and Ezra. We're friends of Akito," Kane answered. "I see nice to meet you. Im Arlo im Akito's younger brother," the boy said. "Arlo who are you talking to in here and did Akito get Hymir yet," a man said walking in fixing his tie. "Akito's friends are here to see him and no Hymir is on the couch again," Arlo replied. "Our brother actually managed to make friends. How surprising," Tokoyami said. "He knows how to. He usually chooses not to," Arlo said. "Sorry to interrupt Master Tokoyami your gonna be late," a man said. "Thank you Allred. Arlo, Kimberly should be home soon. Make sure Akito puts Hymir up," Tokoyami said then left. "Alright," Arlo said then went back into the other room. "Hymir why are you out here," Akito said walking over. He stuck his arm out and Hymir began to wrap himself around Akito. "I'll put him up then I'll be right back," Akito said then walked away. He took Hymir to his room and laid him on the bed. Hymir turned into another form. "Sir you could've said you were having friends over," Hymir said. "I told you and Fuyuki that there might be people comin' over. I wasn't for sure if they would show," Akito replied taking out a bag of chips. "Sorry, sir. I'll stay in here til they leave," Hymir said. "Good Here's some chips Hymir," Akito said handing him some chips. "Thanks, sir," Hymir said happily taking the chips. Akito left the room and went to check on Fuyuki. "Hello boss," Fuyuki said. "Hello," Akito replied. "Did you need something," Fuyuki asked. "No I was here to ask you that," Akito replied. "Some water would be nice if you don't mind since we can't leave our rooms," Fuyuki replied. "Okay here," Akito said tossing him a bottle of water. "Thanks, boss," Fuyuki said. "One more thing Fuyuki. When you guys hunt clean it up instead of leaving it laying in the yard," Akito said then left.

"Akito your house is huge," Atlas said. "It's not just mine," Akito replied. "Do you live with your brothers," Ezra asked. "Yes," Akito answered. Atlas took them all to a restaurant then went to the store to get a few things. They went back to Akito's house afterward. When they arrived there it was dark. "Today was so much fun. We need to do it again," Atlas said excitedly. "Okay," Akito replied. "For real, we can do it again," Altas asked happily. "Sure," Akito replied. "As long as we don't have work Atlas," Ezra said. "Oh yea," Atlas said. "Don't worry we can figure something out," Kane said. "It's dark we should head home," Ezra said. "Yea," Kane said. "Do you guys want a ride," Akito asked. "No that's not necessary we can take a cab," Kane said. "You sure," a girl asked walking in. "Yea no worries," Atlas said. "I'm sure Allred wouldn't mind," the girl said. "Kimberly," Akito said. "What there your friends? You should've offered them a ride," Kimberly said. "Isn't Allred with Tokoyami," Akito asked. "Is he but I just saw him," Kimberly answered. "Are you guys really wanting to take a cab," Akito asked. "Yea it's alright that's how we got here anyway," Kane replied. "Wait here a second," Akito said then started walking away. "Hey where you going," Kimberly asked. "You'll see," Akito replied. "Oh, yea I never introduced myself. I'm Kimberly," Kimberly said. "Im Kane this is Atlas and Ezra," Kane said. "It's nice to meet you guys. It's rare for Akito to make friends," Kimberly said. "Hey Kimberly have you seen my phone," Veronica said walking in. "No have you checked the living room," Kimberly asked. "Yes it wasn't there," Veronica replied. "I'll help you look," Kimberly said. Both of them left as Akito was walking over. "Where are they going," Akito asked. "The one lost her phone and Kimberly went to help look," Ezra replied. "I just saw her phone," Akito said. "We will call a cab now so we can get home," Kane said. "No need follow me," Akito said then went outside. They followed him to a garage. When he opened it they saw a couple of cars inside. "Wow these cars are so fancy," Atlas said. Akito unlocked the one close to them. "Get in. I'll give you guys a ride home," Akito said. "You really don't have to do this," Kane said. "I insist," Akito said. "Come on Kane it's already really late. Who knows if there's any cabs even available," Atlas said. "Plus he's offering Kane," Ezra added. "Oh alright," Kane said. They got into the car and Akito drove them home. Atlas and Ezra got out of the car and quickly went inside. "Thanks for the ride Akito but you really didn't have to," Kane said. "That's alright and its wasn't a bother. It was late and you guys needed a way home," Akito said. "Alright I guess we'll see you Monday," Kane said. "Yep see you," Akito said then drove away. Kane went inside and up to his room.
