Rifted! Champions Chosen To Be Deities! (Leroy)

Afterlife Backdoor Terminal

"What do you think Leroy Agu Shentai?" The voice used his true name given by his mother and not the European American surname given by his father, Leroy Apollo.

"So... let me get this just right..." Leroy said rubbing his temples. ".. I am not dead but have been snatched up by some asshole "Deity" who was going to kill me for my soul and a bunch of others from my former Company. But you saved me from that, cause you are wanting my help.. which is fine. You saved me and all so you get to ask this of me. But... umm how the hell am I going to do that?"

"By working to find some artifacts for me of course." The voice was coming from a giant Computer Terminal. Mixed with all kinds of different technology at levels and unsavory things that caused Leroy's head to hurt something fierce. Some of it looked old, and some of it was so far in Sci-Fiction it made his head hurt when trying to correlate it to something normal. "Missions and saving people with value to them."

"Umm in case you haven't noticed, I am in a wheelchair and I am missing a lung from that scaffold piercing me when trying to treat Rexford when medevacked him. How in hell am I going to do that exactly? Saving anyone at this rate when I haven't even finished physical rehab? Not to mention what will happen to my body."

"Well, you have some Faith already generated from acts done over the years doctor. Some Aspects structured and solidified in your Soul are already taken from some of the things you have done. You really should not have killed..."

"I would do it again in a heartbeat. She should not have hurt him or betrayed us." Leroy waved at the machine not wanting to hear it. Long since made peace with all his actions, almost before he even did them. "Just let me come to terms with everything. Like my early separation from my body and such."

"No time." The Terminal floated a screen in front of him. Different values of his body and how it would take for him to advance. "I recommend replacing your body with artificial components."

"Yeah no... that just sounds ugh right off the bat." Leroy shook his head at that. "How dangerous of a place am I going to exactly start off in?"

"Difficulty Level 1, I do not want you to die." The Afterlife Terminal showed a place with people just walking around normally. Nothing visible that was of note for a few minutes. Then the window closed. "The less you know, the better. Figure it out once there will help in fitting in better. Try not to spoil matters if you want to gain more. Aspect power is generated in all sorts of ways."

"Fine." Leroy scrolled through what was available for him to take on as a body. Besides his legs that were busted, he needed to deal with his lungs that were failing. The original one anyway. The artificial one was wonky since day one. "Any regen or something?"

"Healing Factor can help. It will be painful. I recommend getting it up to higher tier to be able to control it better. Sometimes, an injury can go a long way in fooling people. As well as drawing sympathy."

"Umm, I don't see anything. Oh, wait.." Leroy stopped at a screen to the far right. The cost was really high. "I will get the living one in the form of a bacteria. It is the cheapest and grows by throwing things in it with different infections to heal my original body. Doesn't say to what extent though."

The Afterlife Terminal made quiet calculations in regards to that. Inside of Leroy's Soul was that of the Flame Vortex. A type of Core that burned with that of Deity's long passed and dead.  A power that his very Spirit itself pulled from the confines of the Afterlife when he was born.

Equal parts empowered and restrained the body of his birth parents giving their traits to him. However like a few of those he was close to, his Spirit made it his own by turning traits into power for him.

However the Earth Leroy was from was long lost to power and those who started to exhibit died aearly from natural causes or the various Deities snatched up to move to the Afterlife or other methods.

"The remaining of your Faith, I recommend buying Stamina increase for your body back there. Mixed with the Healing Factor, your recovery will be extremely high. Which will definitely be needed if you fail and Rexford fails where he is currently at." The Afterlife Terminal voice was a little persuading. As if it was insistent but not too much he gets it. "I would not worry about weapons for now. There will be a lot of them later if your Earth goes to shit."

"Ok. Stamina increase it is." As his body tingled, Leroy noticed a few bit of Aspect energy was left. "Well.. ok. How did that happen?" As the changes worked, he put a few things together. "No way, that simple."

"Certain purchases drop depending on what you already have inside you. Others will be worse. But that is a road to cross when you get there." The Afterlife Terminal opened a portal behind Leroy. "Good luck in cultivating."

The portal engulfed Leroy sending him away. The Afterlife Terminal ran several calulations to help prepare the lie it fed to the Champion. For it was a Pseudo Deity in it's current state and had done something horrible by pulling him to this location away from the eyes of the Pantheons weho had sights on the Doctor.

.

I am where?-

.

Leroy moved about the town getting used to his legs and free movement. He would not lie, it was great to stand on his two feet again. A few jumps up and down and he was feeling even better.

However, he had information flowing in his head about the person this body used to belong to. He was the child of the Dark Tigerfire Family's youngest general and a dancing girl of the Alkebulan. The mother who birthed the body here was long since dead as well as members of the performing Troupe she was a part of.

Imagine that nonsense of all of them getting killed so easily and mysteriously. Leroy of course assumed it was foul play before tucking that information away,

As for the Dark Tigerfire Family's youngest general, he was nowhere to be seen after attacking a neighboring kingdom who were part of the attack on his lover's people.

Luckily before the body Leroy now inhabited was set up to be killed, in which they succeeded as far as typical stories go he now found himself, in a terrible situation briefly. Unfortunately, the previous Leroy instead of being a better person took pride in being his father's child and hurting those under him.

No wonder he was able to be killed like this. Worked in current Leroy's favor as he was not wanting to pretend to be someone else anyway. Too much of a hassle.

"Oh boy this is great!" Leroy reached for the sky. A smile so big the sun was jealous also. He gave a sniff smelling something odd. "What the hell is that smell?" Following his nose was both good and bad. "No way."

The area he was in was the dump site for corpses and garbage.

A few people were chewing away at one another. Made no sense they did so actually. Served no purpose. Since the stomachs of those eating were already ripped out by something. Everything they ate fell out from the opening.

Another group of people were moving away. They spotted Leroy who waved at them slowly. He was still dealing with everything mentally himself and was only broken from musings do to the smell.

Thrown into a corpse pit is not something anyone really wants to ever happen to them. Discarded like yesterday's trash really showed little regard for people.

A few more people dug into the pile of corpses looking for anything worthwhile. One of the items those who killed Leroy was in the mix still. Of course the current body holder didn't care about it and turn a blind eyed to the belongings getting snatched.

Rolling off the mound then heading off, Leroy got rid of the clothes he had on and took the belongings that hung out to dry. Simple clothing and a robe to go over his head like everyone else he saw.

Memory served enough that the hamlet nearby was always looking for workers and even gave room and board to be used. It would be best to go there and get a stable footing before doing anything else. Bad enough some residual pain could be felt internally.

'Do I need to eat something for everything to work or is it just a slow passive method of the Healing Factor?' Leroy was annoyed as he could feel phantom pain physically from the assassination and mentally from the pain he went through because of the accident. 'So far this looks bad for what I was suppose to have. Even worse since this is a cultivation World. Another Dimension....'

The walk helped to fix his mind as best as possible to the situation. But it was so annoying true that he was not on his Earth that he felt a bit of hysteria sitting in. Military training and Medical training only helped to keep him focus enough to keep from lashing out.

The euphoria from having fully working lungs and walking on his own helped out to distract from the situation. However the smell of corpse still lingered in the air around him.

Another thing he would have to do is go and shower off correctly. Before he used dirt to do it but that was not a real good method to get out the full ordor.

Arriving at the Hamlet due to his slow pace, Leroy was happy they had no trouble giving him a room. He only needed to chop some wood, plow the earth, fetch water, or skin some animals to pay. He could even ride with in the morning to dismember the bodies to feed to the various beasts.

"Haaa..." Taking a deep sigh when entering the room, he plopped down on the mud floor. The Hamlet Leader had talk a good deal nonstop when he caught Leroy reading a book cover. So few could real certain material correctly. "... at least I can go and do some Scribe work when tired. Maybe I can get him to lend me the books to do from here?"

As he sat there getting his bearings, the screen projected by the Backdoor Terminal appeared. The display was annoying but he couldn't do anything about it. He was ticked since nothing showed in regards to what he picked before spending Aspect Points.

Flame Vortex: Body Tempering I

Cultivation:

'What the heck is a Flame Vortex and where the heck is it? What are with these numbers next to attributes? Is it an accurate reflection of myself or something else?'

Racking his brain for a few hours, the Champion didn't come up with anything besides a few guesses. Defense would have to correlate with Health, he tested if it would by pinching his skin and cutting himself with his fingernails.

It took a very long cut to actually change the screen for his Health by one. Even letting his blood flow for a bit to change another number. Stemming blood loss was easy but seeing the blood seep back inside was amazing.

He only felt a burning sensation flow through him as a type of energy moved around to heal him, that was the assumption. The value of Qi changed on the spot to reflect it. Other notice trait was that he felt energized and was not even close to sleeping now.

Working out in the hut until exhaustion helped get his mind over the situation. Any time he pushed to far and tore a muscle the burning sensation would happen and his Qi would drop.

"Food..." Leroy was hungry and out of Qi to restore himself from overworking, so he moved outside. "..hopefully I can find something to eat out there. Maybe something like potatoes or other produce."

Month 1 Week 1 Hamlet Days Part 1 Food Stuff to Gather

Leroy made sure not to go out too far. The Hamlet had no real protection besides a few people that knew how to hunt and were part of some Organizations or Guilds formerly. It was hard to get exact answers from the warry people of the newcomer.

Leroy honestly felt like he was in one of those Homeless Housing Projects again. Those were very bad memories but at least here people stood out of your stuff.

Not like he had any. Not hunting squads nor crazy cousins came to look for him yet. So that was a plus in itself.

With having no weapons himself and not wanting to risk using Earth Boxing or a few outdated Judo moves to fight against a Demon Beast or worse, he looked for some sticks and rocks to make makeshift weapons.

A few sticks were cut into sharp stakes and a few rocks were sharpened along the edges to draw blood. No real string or anything to that effect to tie to make spears or thick enough sticks to jam the rock tip into one end. He also couldn't really rip up his clothing more than he already had at this point.

"Haa... gonna have to do it." After not finding or hearing anything for over an hour to hunt, Leroy found an ant pile. It was quite large compared to back home but the ants were still killable. "They are half the size of rats... Man, this can either go really good or really bad."

A tree was close by so he climbed up with a few stones attached to his back. With a toss, he hit the Ant pile dead on. Crushing a few ants in the process while waiting for them to flow out like they usually do when attacked.

'It's a good thing they follow the pattern like back home!' A few 100 ants actually poured out and by numbers of a pure surge, pushed the stone off the mound. The very moment was odd as they turned and tried to move towards the tree, Leroy threw a few more stones that way. "Hup!"

With a splat, the ants were crushed. But they did not stop pursuit just yet. Having traveled a few feet to cover the distance in no time.

A few more poured out and moved toward the threat that the first group was able to detect. Leroy let loose a row of stones to make the ants have to crawl over or go around as he thought of how different they acted.

What happened to have scent trails and shit to attack and move around the first feet around the Ant mound. It's already been at least 70 feet! Maybe they are the reason not a single animal or other bug type was around the area.

*Fwip!* He threw the sharpened sticks wildly into the ants before getting up and moving to an extended limb. With a leap\, he made it onto another branch and swung to another.

"Tch!" The speed he went at to leap across caused the skin on top of his hands to peel. Not to count the number of splinters he just got in one go. "Made it!" Turning, he could see the ants tilting their heads to the sky looking in different directions.

A few leaves fluttered from behind through the forest. If Leroy could sense Qi this would have been a little easier to deal with. But at least his blood boiled to alert that something was happening.

Of course, a breeze passed carrying his scent through the area. The ants in small groups turned in his direction.

Leroy did not stand idle during this. He was hacking away at branches that were almost broken off. Knocked towards the crawling critters down below, more and more ants died.

The worse problem was that he didn't see any other type of wildlife during all this. It would have sucked to get taken out by a snake or a wild boar when trying to get some food for himself.

After an hour of crushing ants, he finally had a reprieve. The ants, having come across a stronger predator actually moved back underground.

Leroy immediately dashed over and started bagging as many as he could. Soon his makeshift bag got heavy and he couldn't load anymore up.

"I don't want to waste any of them..." Looking around at the trees, he found a few bird's nests not too far away. Of course, he ended up in an area he hadn't searched yet.".. ok.. just have to remember the method to approach wild birds.."

Scooping a bunch of ants onto a stick, he waved it in front of a nest. Slowly a few birds popped their heads out. As if to warn him off they let out a slight trilling sound. All over a few more birds popped up.

"Easy there..." Gesturing at the birds while giving an easy impression he then pointed to the ant hill before backing away. The birds of course did not trust the human and waited until he was far away. "..well those beaks look sharp as hell."

Leroy slowly backed out of the area not wanting to risk his life again. If overgrown fire ants gave him trouble then a flock of birds would cause absolute mayhem to him. Not to mention he still need to get rid of the splinters before they caused an infection.

A few of the birds swooped down and picked away at the ant remnants. It didn't take long however before the constant thumping from the talons hitting the exposed mound that the ants started coming out again.

This time bigger ones were in front. They even had a type of crowning on their heads that looked hard to pierce. As Leroy still backed away to safety more birds came down and more ants came up.

"This is crazy! I have seen a bunch of ants kill a bird by swarming before but this is nothing like that! This looks like a territory war!" He backed up even further to view it better and to be safe. "So many ants are coming out and a lot of birds are still coming in! I know Antmounds is pretty far underground and all but this... would have to be.."

*Snap!* Behind Leroy\, unheard by him a large beast came up while on a stroll. It was a Black Tiger that was native to the area. It looked at him before opening its mouth.

"Grrr!" It was not an aggressive growl as far as Leroy could tell for some reason but it was a big one. The tiger had almost no teeth in its mouth. "Prrr!" It nudged the stunned Champion as a cat would do.

"Hi.. there..." Leroy gave the tiger a gentle pat. Not like he could beat considering his current state. Tigers on Earth weigh around 500-600 pounds, this one despite being old looked to be about the same. "..mighty big paws you have there."

Seeing as the Tiger was not letting him go anywhere and was quite intent in nestling against him, for the pats on it seemed but kept licking where he cut himself earlier.

"I need to eat really badly.." Reaching for the bag with the ant remains, Leroy only lamented he couldn't roast them first. If not for the Survival Class he took this would not have been his go-to choice. In fact, he couldn't help but look around once more for any type of fruits or vegetables growing. ".. the larvae roasted would have been better. With the size of these ants, I need to be careful not to eat too much and get venom in me. Small doses nothing should happen if I am not allergic anyway."

He really hope allergies wouldn't trigger in this body against what he was allergic to. Considering the lack of allergy testing in a time period like this it would be really bad to go into shock.

As Leroy crunched away on the ant remains, the Tiger looked at him helplessly. It could not hunt as well as it used to but it was not at that point it needed to eat bugs.

Growling stomach be damned most days.

After eating a quarter of the ants in his bag with great difficulty, Leroy had to stop as the telltale signs of poisoning made itself known. The rate at which it appeared was a lot faster than normal.

He had drowsiness, dizziness, high temperature, chills (shivering), and a headache. But inside the ants were traces of Qi. Besides his bodying going for it like a natural tonic due to his exercises and then fighting the ants, he was able to take it in without much discomfort.

"Ugh!" Taking a knee, Leroy was watched over by the tiger. Thankfully it the papillae on it's tongue was flat and not peeling his flesh off. One good thing it was capable of doing compared to the tiger back home. "This sludge.. stinks!"

He didn't forget to start removing the splinters from his hands. A mental note that he needed gloves was made on the very long list.

As the Qi entered and became rampant inside him once he was back to snuff the additional started to push through his muscles and stomach lining. The pain was manageable as he gritted down and flushed out the filth.

The Tiger licked away at the sludge and even ripped some of Leroy's clothes off to get to it. Small new teeth started to appear after it huffed at small wisps of flame that left the sludge. In response, the old tiger sent some refined Qi to enter the Champion as if beckoned by him.

'Hmm?' The Old Tiger's eyes shined in interest as Leroy was turning into something to pay attention to. At first, it came due to the smell of the Corpse Pit that lingered on him with sweat mixed in, now it actually benefits from his body. 'If only I could communicate with him, this would be easier to find out information before leaving.'

The sun started to rise in the sky and the various birds had finished eating a large swath of the ant mound. From their pickings, the ant mound was no more topside and was dug out a good bit.

Leroy had snuck over once the coast was clear and grabbed a bunch of the dead birds. The old tiger followed and grabbed a mouth full but didn't eat yet. There were still ants mixed in with the birds after all.

"Need to get back first!" Moving away briskly, Leroy felt the talons of a few of the birds would be perfect for makeshift weapons. If he found a good file method maybe he can make a few medical devices, though crude they would still help in case he was injured by something. "Almost there!"

There was a reason he was moving so briskly, he had to take a crap. By the feel of it, it was most likely diarrhea from the ant venom. He really wishes he had a chance to make a good fire beforehand and or smoke out the ants before.

Slipping into the hut, Leroy dropped the animal and insect remains as he moved to the back of the hut and let loose. The old tiger squeezed into the hut and spat out what it carried to the side.

'What a small place.' Unimpressed by the living quarters of the human it followed, the old tiger started to clean a few birds to eat for itself. 'He should be fine eating some of the drool from me, especially considering how he ate bugs earlier.'

By the time Leroy finished burying his excrement in the mud hut, he was weary and wanted to sleep finally. But that would have to wait as he tended to the remains and the nagging thoughts in his head that popped up.

'It was odd before but I I know that these  Fire Ants have enough venom to take down a Buffalo. And even now they only left me alone earlier because they viewed me as a threat after the losses grew too big. The ants were actually planning on coming after once the Shield Ants came from deep in the Antmound.' Not wanting to ponder this out loud, Leroy thought it over while de-feathering the birds. He even checked the screen but the only change was that he was in the Body Tempering II and the stats changed a little. 'Power and Defense went up by 1 and Health by 5, my Intellect increase has to be something to do with the knowledge of the Ants that I have now. But my Qi went up to 20, so is it gonna be 10 per Rank in Cultivation?'

If it followed the standard from Cultivation Novels, Shows, and Games then there were 9 levels to Body Tempering or possibly an infinite number if his Body was special and couldn't break through normally.

He also had to figure out if just working his body out pushed him into the higher stages of Body Tempering or if he would have to find special ways to Cultivate Organs and stuff.

Month 1 Week 1 Hamlet Days Part 2 Meeting People

The last three days had been something. After trading all of the birds since he had no way of storing them, a little income came his way. Eating his fill after overworking his body and giving the Old Tiger some from the excess birds he went back out to grab after a few weakened ones were left for dead, Leroy was glad the Hamlet Leader needed some books copied over.

The majority of the early part of the day had been spent reading and transcribing into larger letters so the learning Hamlet members could read better. It was quite odd the material he came across was in several different languages from Earth. One book was even in Portuguese and he could not do that one remotely effectively translation-wise.

He decided not to take in any Qi with the methods picked up from the material read. According to what was read he was already starting late on the path to Cultivation but he was an adult in a teenager's body and that could not pass his mental state. Luckily they didn't probe to much when he said he was older and only looked like this due to a small medical condition and hereditary.

Inside the pages of a few books was a method to spend one's life force, basically aging oneself for power. But it also contained a way to improve later cultivation attainments through this.

A few notes mentioned that parents did this to make better for their heirs by actually giving their life force to infants. So Leroy made the preparations and was going to implement it now.

*Fwoosh!* The drawn circles lit up as the Qi in the area sucked into them. Lines along his body started to appear as they wrapped around him in an almost dance. Leroy's eyes rolled over in his skull but the old tiger watched all of this without blinking somewhat amused.

'Why is this human burning away his longevity?' It's tail swished a little in the air before settling back down after a scent passed over. 'What is so peculiar about this one?'

The lines flashed in different patterns with ancient texts on them. If Leroy would have seen the texts shrunken down he would have known where he saw them. They belonged to that of Aspects he earned in his original life. As well as a few symbols in the home he was raised in before shit went crazy.

Despite not coming further in the path to use them now because of the Afterlife Backdoor Terminal, he was still developing them without realizing it. Also was slowly bringing a Deity that was looking for him closer to this Dimension.

Blue and White flames left off Leroy's body with a slight spark. The Old Tiger open its mouth and swallowed it quickly before it got away. Power radiated in its eyes as it made the decision to stay by the human even longer. Staring at the passed-out cultivator, it took in that he was indeed older-looking and no longer looked young by bearing.

'Hmm, something strange is happening within him.' Mustering some power, the Old Tiger sent a piece of its soul into Leroy. It was only able to gain a peek before getting pushed back out. A piece of it was severed but strangely it did not hurt. 'This human has so many tricks... what is that terrifying feeling of pressure within!?'

The Old Tiger cowered as it felt an intense suffocating pressure that not only suppressed it but also nourished the piece of its soul inside Leroy. It was quite in the small Hut besides the beating of hearts.

"Haa, done." Leaning back on the floor, Leroy gave a stretch waking up fully. "Well have a way to cultivate better now in the future if the texts are corrected. Should be safe enough with just Body Tempering here."

Several half methods were in those books and scrolls that could only be patched together in something unusual. Enough information combined with the way things went back in shows he pathed out a process of cultivation and a few occupations that he definitely could show a decent bit of knowledge in.

"To have a better chance at surviving, it is best to have sterile tools to prevent infection. I should be able to make decent money as a doctor and surgeon. I mean they like beauty maintenance and stuff here but I can do a facelift and sag reduction. After they use whatever way to heal any scars it should be a worthwhile endeavor."

"Rawwr." The Old Tiger just growled the way it usually did when he talked toward it. It then put its head back down to rest. Able to communicate with the piece inside Leroy with no issue, the stress from having a piece of its soul taken away went down. 'Infection of what? This human grows stranger every time I look at him not to mention when he speaks. Maybe I should rip his Soul out and bring him to be reborn a Demon Beast Tiger?'

With the clothes not really fitting before afterward, Leroy needed to do some alterations to compensate for his growth and overall maturity. Luckily he was not hungry like before after the process.

Leroy set the books outside in a box for the Hamlet Leader to pick up later. Still so much to do like a taste test a few seeds and vegetables dug up.

.

Talks-

.

The Hamlet Leader Vokly as he called himself came to Leroy with a small request. He asked him to tutor a few of the Hamlet kids. Word had got around that he killed a few Ant mounds and a few birds he traded off were of good enough quality. That and these Hamlet kids were in the process of training hard to be sent off to the local Akademy or to a Town and join the various Occupations.

Thanks to the Body Tempering done already and Leroy's cultivation pushed by constantly using all of his Blood Qi to recover from working out, his build was better than most. Unable to tell him his real age, the Champion told him he was 21 as a good estimate of the life force burned away.

This was a few years older than the former Leroy in any documentation in case those who killed him found a way to track the body down. The Hamlet Leader started prying subtly for information on who he was and where he came from after probing by a few other Hamlet Leaders he traded with brought it up.

With enough half-answers Leroy let the man come to the conclusion he was from a Southern Tribe from deep in the wilds and learn what he knew from traveling and studying with everyone he came across.

The conclusion was also drummed up that the other was unfortunate in cultivation the same as a lot of the Hamlet dwellers.

"So you are a Doctor, how rare for someone so free. Your name as well is quite unusual, especially that surname. Your position in your Southern Tribe must have been pretty big," Fixing his pipe, the old man was only at the Body Tempering Realm Peak.

The area of the Peak is after the 9th Ranlk of a Realm and is the transitioning period and final steps to breakthrough to the next Realm. Which in this case would be the Qi Refining Realm after this one.

Despite how accomplished several people and Demon Beasts are or how long they spend time in certain Realms they don't break through all the time. The Hamlet Leader and several others have that really bad as they haven't been able to. Like most who lived on the outskirts of Towns, he was unable to cross the threshold into the Qi Condensation Realm. Unless he purchased a condensed Qi Stone or any of the various Concentrated Qi Pills to breakthrough it was hopeless.

"What methods can you treat with out resources Witch Doctor?"

"Not much since all of my equipment is gone." He let slide the man referred to him as a Witch Doctor. "I focus on .. reconstruction of the body. However, I don't have enough medicine to continue work on how to help with recovery safely." Leroy had a bowl in hand as he ground up some plants in the area that were useable. "I found a few plants that are large in abundance that can be used to help stimulate blood flow in the cold period."

Winter was not for a few months he gathered but the Fall period in the Hamlets tended to get cold and there was snowfall. Neither Leroy was looking forward to being a part of it as he was now.

"Oh, that is most good! The Amp Flower does get one agitated enough." He gave a nod agreeing it does get the blood flowing but it was used to wake people up mostly. "We tend to lose too many during that time! So much money wasted on ways to keep warm that it usually turns too late from frost touch-setting in."

"Hmm, oh Frostbite, I understand now." It took a few seconds for him to put it with that, but the books he transcribed mentioned all the same as Frostbite when referencing Frosttouch. "Anyway, it is written down here how to make it and use it. Just hope the gathering is done well enough."

The two exchanged a few tricks of the trade. Leroy's recipes were a hell of a lot lower compared to the others in the Capital but his methods of skinning and animal separation went a long way.

During this Leroy picked up that the Hamlet Leader was more than just a Hunter and may have been a Soldier or something at one point.

As a Doctor, it helped to explain what parts of the organs were able to be eaten without causing trouble. Even though there were cultivators here that processed that as type of evolution that came later from hard work.

Not until they made it to the Foundation Establishment Realm, which came after the Qi Condensation Realm were Cultivators able to ignore common diseases that developed from food. But then they had to worry about other Qi-rich food and various different types of Qi screwing them over. Not to mention what happens when they cultivate something wrong and their bodies get wrecked.

Leroy took as a note with Allergies and they were not paying attention due to thinking they were invincible.

The Hamlet Leader information helped confirmed a lot for Leroy about Cultivation with Medicine. The fact they relied on Pills and Elixers to forcefully treat wounds it was no wonder there were so many issues in various people.

Especially those who did not live in the city or more robust towns.

"Improper treatment... oh boy." Reaching to chew some jerky he traded for, Leroy was surprised the Old Tiger came out of the small hut. It sat next to him and then looked out to the forest area. "Hmm?" Turning to look was not a boring sight.

Out of the forest, the trio watched a few people come out wounded. Full of cuts and stab wounds were not the problem but the creature that came behind them running on threes left Leroy slightly shocked.

"It is a running plant... no freaking way..." Doesn't matter what you see in books, once it is in person that is when the mind deals with the shock. "It is such a big thing!"

The plant that ran after the people on threes had a head shaped like that of a squid. The vines had suction pads on them that contained little sharp teeth. The stem looked very vibrant and eye-catching at first look.

The man had some insignia on as well as Noble attire that Leroy recognized from the previous body owner's memory. Not that it matter if the other dies but the attire really caused the Hamlet Leader to start fretting.
