Chapter I

"VICTORY!" "son are you still playing video games? it's already 2:00am and you're still playing? don't you have classes at 8?"

"stop shouting mom, you'll wake up the whole neighborhood, and don't worry that's already my last game." After he fell asleep...

"huh? what the hell is this? is this a dream? but why does it feel like it's so real?"

Kira roamed like a lost child in the unfamiliar land.

"wow, like really?"

"When will I even wake up?" Kira walked and walked and only stopped when he saw a huge water fall.

"whoa! that's a huge *** water fall!" "I'm all sweaty now, I need to wash myself since I don't wanna be smelly." "oh wait, should a man sweat in his dream? what if I wash myself and when I wake up I pissed all over myself?"

Kira is still having a hard time convincing himself that he is just dreaming but he is not.

"argghh!! whatever, I don't care what will happen I'll just do what I have to do right now."

He is now approaching the water fall but little did he know that the water fall is not just an ordinary water fall.

"Oooohh, so refreshing!" Kira is swimming towards the falls and he is just enjoying his time in the water but a huge creature woke up. The waves suddenly got a little violent.

"So what now? flash flood? earthquake? no, but it feels

like something big is coming out from the bottom." Suddenly a large water serpent emerged from the water. "A huge *** snake in a huge *** water fall?!! This dream is incredible!"

But Kira realized that the serpent is slowly surrounding the river and also approaching Kira. With the serpent's movement, the river got more and more violent so Kira is doing his best not to drown.

"Hey is this for real, am I gonna die in my own dream?" "No, idiot, are you still thinking that all of what's happening is a dream?"... (talking to himself)... "Quit yapping and think how will you survive this but how can I do it, the serpent is blocking the way to the riverbank"

Kira realized something is wrong.

"Hmm, with all those time why did the serpent stopped approaching me? is it scared of something or it's just that it can't come near this area"

"But how can I get out I'm nearly at my limit, swimming towards the falls is a suicide but if I try to go the the banks then definitely I'm going to be a lunch for that serpent."

Kira is thinking very deep but somewhat made a decision.

"Since I'm gonna die anyway, I'll have to make a decision, I'm going straight to the falls to see what the serpent is cowering for."

The water current is pushing Kira away but Kira fought well since he's a track and field athlete. He is atleast qualified for Regional but didn't qualify for Nationals because to his addiction to video game, poor time management and vices. Finally Kira arrived at the bottom of the falls, he is so worn out and the water current downward current pushed down Kira, now he drowning while losing consciousness.

"Seriously, Is this still a dream? Well, what a shitty dream is this."

"How can I die in my own dream, I'm supposed to be the protagonist, and protagonists are OP and have a harem of top beauties with perfect bodies, haha nevermind I'm never into that anyway. If I only have a girlfriend then that's it.... haha what a thought of a ******"

To the nearby kingdom(Azrael)

Because the surroundings of the kingdom of Azrael is infested with high level monsters that even high ranked adventurers avoid this area because of the risks and uncertain benefits. Maybe they will lose more than they will gain. The Azrael citizen can't even migrate because the chance of getting out alive is very slim. The surrounding villages also went to the kingdom for protection because they have nowhere else to go. Now, they are at there last stand in the Azrael kingdom. .

A group of adventurers fought there way to Azrael because they want to assist the kingdom to recover because the citizen (Handy) is the only guild in the kingdom, Handy has only ten members. Three peak diamond adventures, two two stars and two one star gold adventurers, and one one, two, three stars bronze adventures.

"I heard a group of adventurers managed to arrive without any casualty? despite the others being a low rank?" King Rael(King of Azrael) said to the counselor.

The counselor replied. "That's right your majesty. There are exactly ten people in their group, do you want to get in touch with the adventurers?"

"No, wait a little bit. Seems like they don't want to gather any attention but gossips sure are fast to spread. If we approach them so soon it would be rude in our part, let them rest for awhile since they had a tough battle out there. We will handle this matter tomorrow.". The king said.

A day later...

King Rael has given an order to secretly track the adventurers whereabouts. After successfully tracked them down, Rael gave a command to a messenger inviting them to the castle for matters to be discussed.

"Sending a scout team to track us and now sending a messenger?" Asmodeus said.

The messenger replied. "I'm sorry but I'm just following orders, I don't even know they already sent men before me. But I'm looking for you leader, perhaps we can have a time for a talk to a specific matter."

Alicia smirked and said, "My my don't tell me your scouts only focused on finding our whereabouts and did not had a research on us. Anyway, you're already talking to him, that's our leader."

Asmodeus talk while emitting his aura, "So should I just kill you or should I peel your skin little by little?"

Alicia stopped Asmodeus, "Hey that's enough of your prank, look at the poor messenger he nearly pissed himself."

Asmodeus laughed. "Hahahaha! I already know what message you want to forward to me, just return and tell to your king that he has to wait for us since we also want to discuss something to him."

Back to the water fall...

Because Kira is extremely exhausted and doesn't have an energy to move. Kira is laughing like crazy because he is still having a difficulty processing what all happened

After a few hours, Kira is now fully convinced that he is not dreaming and the things that are happening is real. Even with this situation Kira still tries to be positive and cheered himself.

Kira is swept by the water current and has been unconscious for nearly two days in a little cave behind the water fall. After he mustered all his strength and got up, he saw a twinkling light in the innermost of the cave. Since Kira is in survival mode and his curiosity has risen up, he immediately runs toward the light.

"huff huff" Kira's breathing heavily. Finally he found the source oh the light. It is a treasure chest that have lots of different jewelry that the chest can't even contain them all.

"A treasure chest? Ha! I'm rich! But how can I even spend all of these? I can't even get out from the cave because of the serpent."

"Hmmm... But with a treasure like this, there must be something that can contain it."

Kira search and searched until he found a ring that he thought it must be a magical spacial ring.

"I knew it! There are always a way to solve your problem. The problem is how can I use it, now I have a new problem great just great!"

There's also one thing that attracted his attention because he is like drawn to this thing.

"That thing there is like calling for me. I should just take a look at it maybe it is more useful to me in this situation."

After Kira went to it. He saw a dagger that is stuck in a person's body.... (Step dagger I'm stuck).... The position of the the body is so obvious that he committed suicide

"That person must be the owner of those treasure. Ughhh that dagger, I can't just pull out something in a dead man's body but I can't help it."

Kira pulled out the dagger anyway. A strange energy entered Kira's body. Fragments of the dead man's memories flashed into Kira, he is in so much pain, he even felt how the man dies. "Ughhhh!!" After he suffered from all of the pain, All of his fatigue and desperation disappeared, he's like refreshed.

"Is that how the man died, seems like he's been betrayed by his so called friends because of envy that he overshadowed them. They pursuit him until he is near to death, luckily he found this cave and settled here until he couldn't take it anymore and he took his own life. That serpent outside is his spiritual beast. The serpent is not trying to kill me but trying to persuade me in entering this cave."

"That man's name is Kratus. The memory is so vague, and this ring is indeed a spacial ring. All I have to do is charge mana into it and command the ring in my mind to contain the treasure."

"Haha it worked! It feels like my body is already used in this kind of thing. Before I get out, I must set a proper burial for Merlin."

"It's time to explore the world and take revenge for Kratus, I'm so ignorant when I came in this world but atl least I now know a little how this world works and also those rank system and different adventurer classes, it's completely in my mind."

Adventurers Ranking system:

Within each ranks there are stars that represents your achievements in the rank and it is a basis is you are near for a rank promotion or new in that rank. As an adventurer ranks up, it would be more and more difficult to rank up, and even can be stuck specially when an adventurer reach the silver rank. There is also a class system that defines the role of each adventures.

Monsters levels are also classified as:

Class A+

Class C

Below Class C are all Class D

Class system:

a)Mage- a class that has the largest mana pool and can transfer mana to other classes.

*battlemage- magic focused on fire power.

*support mage- magic focused on healing and buff.

b)Tank/Paladin- vanguard, can take physical and magic damage. Strong but lacks fire power.

c)Marksman- specialized in tracking and long range

attacks. Enhanced sight, hearing, and agility.

d)Warrior- specialized in a 1v1 fighting. But can wield multiple weapons like sword, dual sword or a sword and shield combination.

e)Assassin- also specialized in tracking, stealthy killer and can be independent. In a disadvantage against warrior type opponents but more technical than a warrior. Always have an advantage against ranged opponents.

f)Priest- can also heal and can take as tank's role but less effective. Can deal more damage than a tank.

g)Martial artist- have the same attribute as the warrior and tank but different fighting style and is weaponless.

h)Necromancer- can raise up dead human, monsters and other dead creatures but can only revive a creature once. Can also attack using magic/dark magic.

i)Spearman- have the same attribute of the warrior but different fighting styles. Slightly stronger than the warrior because a spearman can attack in short and long ranges.

"The Assassin, Martial Artist, and the necromancer are the rarest of the classes. Since Kratus is an assassin then my class is also an assassin."

All skill in the same class have similarities and differences, that difference is call the unique skills.

"Although Kratus doesn't have a unique skill, he still reached the peak of mithril rank. That's how strong Kratus is."

"Huh? So I don't have a unique skill?"

"Whatever, I'm an inheritor of one of the strongest adventures there is so l let's just see what will happen outside!"

After Kira packed all the things that he needs to take outside. He immediately went out of the cave and swam back where he came from, and now he met the serpent.

"After fulfilling his master's last command. That is to find someone who is worthy to be a successor of Kratus, the serpent slowly disappeared. That's a sad scene right there. May you and your master meet in your way."

"It's time for me to settle my own business, but first of all I'm so f****'n hungry since I didn't eat anything for more than two days. I can't see any fish here in the river, the serpent must have scared them all away."

With an adventure's skill and power within Kira he immediately found a way to found food, he eat and eat  like there's no tomorrow.

Meanwhile in Azrael...

A servant approached Rael. "Your majesty, the guests have arrived."

"Finally, take them to the guest room. I will be with them shortly and also prepare snacks for them so they will not get bored while waiting, now go." Rael replied.

"Herald, call general Xiu. You two will be my escort when we meet the the adventurers." Rael said to the counselor.

Herald(swordman) is the counselor of Rael and Xiu(martial artist) is the general of the Azrael's army. They are both in the rank of a one star Mithril.

Rael's company entered the guests room.

"I appreciate your patience adventurers."

Asmodeus immediately recognized familiar faces. " Hey hey hey isn't that the blazing sword and the glorious general?"

After what Asmodeus said, the room completely went silent. (Only Mithril ranked and above are allowed to carry a nickname. The mana crystal also determine whether you are worthy or not to be promoted in Mithril rank.)

Asmodeus spoke again. "Oh, is that supposed to be a secret? Haha my bad. Here your majesty please take a sit."

Rael regained his composure. "Ehem! Yeah well let's begin our introduction first. I'm Rael, the king of Azrael and since you already know my companions then you must introduce yourselves too."

.... After the adventurers introduced themselves.

"Since you're the guests, please be the first on to speak. What are the matters you want to talk with me? Rael said.

Asmodeus replied. "King Rael is humble, but let's discuss first the most important issue in the kingdom. I know you want us to assist you in exterminating the monsters and that's actually a part of our plan. I will go straight to the point here your majesty. The condition is that you have to allow us in making a guild, we plan on making branches in other kingdoms as well but we will plant our headquarter in this kingdom. That's our main objective."

Xiu spoke. "You're such a bold and ambitious adventurer. You are near to be defined as crazy but your followers are literally crazy for following a person like you. Like what? You charged in here just to achieve that kind of goal? You're all just lucky because you arrived here with sour soul still in your body!"

Herald put a stop on Xiu's lecture

"General Xiu that's enough, we don't know the reason why they need to put their life on the line just to achieve their goal.". "So tell me Asmodeus, is your goal related to the Adventurers Guild Union?

"You're right. When we make our own guild, we don't want to be under any organization since if you make a guild, the guild you made will be automatically be under the Adventures Guild Union. I personally asked this request to the AGU and as expected they denied and denied and denied until one, they said they could consider our request in a condition that we make our guild here in Azrael. Yes I know it's dangerous but what choice do we have." Asmodeus replied.

Xiu spoke again. "Ha! So you're not crazy after all. It's not no good to be related with the Adventures Guild Union. After Herald and I got promoted in Mithril, AGD invited us to be their subordinate, we refused because we already know that their organization wicked and corrupt and they cannot be trusted, we might even get stabbed in the back."

Herald continued what Xiu is stating.

"When we rejected their invitation, we became an eyesore to them. They thought of us as an potential enemy. They set up an assassination for the two of us and when they fail, they will just keep on sending stronger adventurers. We searched for aqqasqaqwa.qqq places where we can hide until we found this kingdom."

Rael continued. "I'm very grateful for the two of them. Before they arrive, my kingdom is a mes because of monsters and opportunistic nobles. Instead of assisting us in the our recovery, Their thirst for power became worse and they seem to have found a chance to wage war on us. Days of bloodshed until two strangers helped us win the war. I invited these strangers in my kingdom, they were secretive at first, as time goes on they finally told me their situation."

....King Rael convinced the two of them to stay since Azrael is very far from the other kingdoms and since there are not that much Adventurer here, the AGD shows no interest in Azrael.

Herald aka blazing sword became the king's counselor and Xiu the glorious general has been given a position that is suitable for his nickname, he became the general of Azrael.....

After Rael let Asmodeus and his party know the story of Herald and Xiu.

To the reason that Azrael is in need of manpower specially strong adventurers, Rael accepted Asmodeus' proposal and set aside the issues regarding the AGD.

As the meeting goes on. King Rael also said that dealing with monsters is a normal thing but a few days later, the monsters became more aggressive and attack with with groups. They speculated that this phenomena is caused by atleast a Class S monster.

Plans in the war are being discussed and it would be the day after tomorrow. They also include the creation of the new guild until it finally ended.

The king welcomed again the adventurers so he provided a feast. As everyone is enjoying Herald and Xiu are talking.

Xiu spoke. "If it really is a Class S monster, even with the two of us, victory will still not favor us."

Herald replied. "Yes, I know there will be a lot of casualties this time. You mentioned in the meeting that those Adventurers are lucky, maybe they will pass some luck with us Hahaha."

Xiu. "Haha If we win with luck then I'll go overboard and try taming a spiritual beast! Hahaha"

While the two of them talk and laugh. Asmodeus approached them and bought them beers.

Xiu said. "You actually know your moves."

Asmodeus replied. "I'm sorry to keep this a secret but we're already actually a guild."

Herald spoke. "So? What's your guild's name?"

Asmodeus replied. "It's Handy sir."

Xiu laughed and said. "Hahahaha Handy? Have you guys run out of a guild name and named your guild handy? Haha!"

Asmodeus replied again.

"An important member named our guild so we can't say anything about it."

After Xiu drinks his beer in a few gulp.

"Important member? Aren't you the most important of all of you? You're the guild master after all."

Asmodeus answered. "This person that I'm talking about is more important than me as she's the one who contributed the most. Thanks to her we reached the rank of peak diamond.

Me and my party talked about something that you should also know. That the person I'm talking about is the key for our victory."
