Mass Effect Andromeda: Dark Designs (Bimonthly Updates

Talk with a Goddess/Titaness

Leonardo also known as "Leo" was in his study reading a book. Finishing off, he close the book Odyessy. It was an enjoyable read. As well as several other books regarding Myth, Legend, and a few other stories.

A glass of whiskey to the side that he topped off already waited to be sipped.

"Ah, vacation is just the best after a long time of work." He turned to the window, the moon looked slightly off out there. A slight green-brown glow to it. "Another weird phenomenon happing again. What in the blazes is going on out there in space? First a meteor shower, now this."

*Chk!* The door opened to the study. His ex-wife after 15 short years finally finished packing her last bit of belongings. Coming to say goodbye most likely while she was here.

"Leo, are you sure I cannot get you to move as well?" Patricia asked once more. She watched as he shook his head no for the umpteenth time. Never budging on what he believed to be right. "Earth is done for, the Colonies are the only way to go. The "Terra Venture" still has more room. Especially for someone like yourself."

Doctors and Military personal were always needed. Especially with the decline in the fields as more people took easy job roles and ones with short school time.

"Did you sign the papers?" Leo asked not wanting to make things difficult for her. Or make it annoying for himself. Enough was enough. Thus the divorce. She wanted to go to the colonies where a bunch of others fled to. Thinking it would be better than Earth after the last virus bombing was done. "Take your flight and enjoy the new life. The boy, oh. I mean "man" Chuck, he will make a good husband for you."

Chuck was her assistant. They worked close at a few Haz-Mat zones. No infidelity physically but hey, the looks were there. Nothing wrong with finding something new. Someone willing to match your views he supposed.

Most of them thinking the Earth carried to much bad history. That was the idea of those running from Earth anyway.

"I.. want you to come up there! Earth is done for!" Patricia hated it when Leo was like this. But it was one of the reasons she loved him in the beginning. But she gave in to the propaganda that things were not safe on Earth. Despite the fact, the colonies had problems as well. "Better to die there then.. then on Earth! The virus will mutate!"

Her pleading fell on def ears.

"Look, we are fine. It is fake." Leo turned to her. His green eyes looking at her with a small hint of anger on hs face. "You have everything you need to be happy. It is not so bad starting over. Memories to keep you happy and moving forward maybe? Do not know or care really anymore."

Patricia left her former home disappointed in her ex-husband. She never planned on coming back to Earth ever again.

As Leo grabbed another book, he looked over a few computer screens to the side. Showing atmospheric data that showed no trace of the mutation they spoke of occurring from the meteors. Or that of the virus that was released in the last bombing.

Leo worked in Bio-engineering and few other fields of Biowarfare. Privately and formerly locally with members of the CDC. Both he and the "Conclave" watched closely everything that went on.

Even tried to stop the first outbreak in the Sudan.

It worked, but those who wanted it to happen made their threats known. Killing a few of the Conclave's family members. The ones that did not immunize their kids the right way died quickly. The others lapsed into a coma or had their brains blown out from incorrect neural plugs to staff off infection.

The Conclave responded swiftly. Killing outright those responsible. And sterilizing all of their family members that had a hand in the matter.

Sure they had know idea what was going on, but they did not go through the correct checks to prevent things from happening. Doing "favors" for family members sort of did them in, in the end anyway. Just because you brother asks you to help them out with getting a shipment they are waiting on in, does not mean one should do it.

The Conclave members finally started to fracture after that incident. A sense of "morals" developing in the members that were affected by this.

A breakup happened after that. Some couldn't live with what they have done. Others turned themselves in. Which was quite silly considering the punishment involved.

Leo and a few others that kept to the shadows continued their work. Taking the time to release several "vaccines" to help humanity now that they were distracted. As well as the animals. Which paved the way for the Colony Initiative altogether.

The Colony Initiative was that of humans thinking they could do better in space. But they would fail a lot. Still diverse with different opinions and not unified. Several colonies didn't even have weapons set up.

A prime target for any colony that might need resources quickly. Especially with not enough authority in space to govern anything.

Dreams fail when plans are not there to back them up.

*Beep!* A message arrived. A black terminal disguised as a book on the shelf. The words arrived slowly after Leo pressed a few buttons to confirm it was ok to do so. That the environment was safe to receive.

Reading it all over did not take long at all really.

"Well.. a vistor, this late in the night?" Looking his clothes over, he figured it was good enough. "Oh well." Behind him, a green light flashed. A very tall woman appeared. The oddest thing besides the toga and black-purple hair, she was floating. "Hmm?"

That and she was taller than any human he has ever seen. Like maybe 12 feet tall or so. Even with the Genetic Engineering that was now part of regular life, that was a bit much in height.

"You sensed me. That is good." The woman said.

Turning around after doing a double-take, Leo's eyes bugged out as he also fell on his butt. The first thought was that he may have been drunk. A quick look to the bottle had him thinking he was pranked. The idea of poisoning never crossing his mind since he was immune to all toxins on Earth. As well as Mars and Venus.

Now, Pluto.. he would be screwed.

"We have watched you a long time. You are what we need."

*Shine!* A glow of light moved about the room. Circling around Leo slowly. As if taking measurements of him. Gauging his very soul and mind as well.

"Umm.. we who?" Unable to move anymore due to something holding him in place, Leo settled for struggling. Well attempting to struggle. "Ok, that last drink really messed me up."

*Breeze!* A green wind passed over Leo. The odd thing\, he could see it. It was the weirdest thing ever. Enough that logic was thrown for a loop. One could not see the wind. Only particles in it that were carried in the surroundings visible to the eye.

"The "Conclave" is an old Earth group of mine. I am Gaia, and we do not have much time to really talk things over. I rather take your soul before it is infected anymore by what has happened here."

"Uh-huh.." Leo felt his head clear up. The alcohol was out of his body in microseconds. It floated around his fingertips before falling to the floor. Having left from those specific areas of his body. "Oh.. that was just different."

Curiosity almost got the better of him. Lack of morals always had him experimenting on a lot of people, animals, plants, and himself. Mostly himself at times really. And the one time on his cat. To be fair though... he did cure it of cancer. It just ended up having green fur after. And acted like a parrot.

"Can we like.. not keep me frozen somewhat?"

*Flick!* With a wave of her hand\, Leo was in his chair and completely free to move. Which did nothing for his nerves. Trying to rationalize everything as new tech was not going over well.

Leo assumed the "wind" was a type of new technology. It helped calm his mind down further as he tried to figure some things out. The Conclave was not the only Bio-Group out there. Shit, the Illuminati and the Masons still controlled the majority of Europe and Australia.

"So, you care about the Earth and you are willing to die with it or kill those who plan to harm it. By any means "necessary," yes." Gaia said with a smile. A very disarming smile at that. Leo nodded slightly. Something inside was changing him to accept this matter. To open his mind if you will. "Everything that happened to the Earth will mix into a very beautiful thing. Old bacteria is rising to the surface. I am happy with what happened to the seafloor. Mixing in the air that I will use to help with recovery."

"Uh-huh." Leo just nodded. Not to sure what this had to do with him. Calling someone that moved things around and could freeze one in place with unknown technology foolish or any other not-so-nice word, would be stupid, to say the least. 'Find out what she wants, take a nap, then check the footage. Eliminate that this is not a dream or that I have not lost it from an experiment or a failed work after waking up should help.'

As he finished the finer details of his quick mental plan, he missed the 12 foot woman standing in front of him. Her hand was outstretched towards his chest and forehead.

"What a sound plan you have there." Gaia nodded approving of it. She poked Leo on the hand next. Causing his veins to bulge and give him intense pain. "To make you believe further you are not dreaming, pain is needed. Your brother was much the same way." Leo picked up the mention of his brother. He tried to focus, but it was to difficult to do so. "Back when you joined the Conclave, along with the others, you signed a contract. I am here to collect on one of the agreements."

"Grr, how about the pain to stop?!" Leo eyed the weirdness that traveled his hand up to his shoulders. Visible light and wind showing through clothes and skin. It seemed to wrap around something inside him. Then the pain vanished slowly. A throbbing sensation was all he felt new parts of his body that one should never feel in detail. "Oh.. not the most fun of things."

Feeling the individual hairs along the body was not bad. But feeling every opening of your pores briefly, then the breathing of the lungs expanding, was enough to cause a panic.

Leo had to fight the desire to grab his datapad and start working. The findings alone would push his human research several decades into the future. He always made the best guinea pig he thought.

Aware of every single detail. Caused a short panic before it all went away. Then a bout of loneliness hit him. Enough that he felt nauseous. It came from Gaia. But it was so odd compared to her outward appearance.

An image formed in his mind. His brother Maxmillion, "Max" and her arguing. But his brother looked different in it. A toga made of pitch-black material, as well as a bow on his back, caught his attention for a bit.

Max, looked to be pleading about something. But Gaia kept a stern look as she shook her head no. Slowly around the two, thousands of people and animals appeared. It was very odd considering he saw a few dinosaurs as well.

Aware of her straying thoughts, Gaia closed the proverbial mental door.

"Ughh, that was not pleasant and pleasant at the same time." Leo mumbled. "I felt connected with myself. More than I ever had before. As well as something more."

"That is the marking of a "Champion" from one such as myself. You earned it already. As well as the surviving members of the Conclave." Gaia said simply. She looked out the window as the tint of the moon changed to normal. The "Passage" was closing. She gritted her teeth at the accursed "Sun" for doing this. "To make it short, you are needed to do things you already agreed to."

"Umm, you say the Earth is fine so?"

"My champion.." She turned to face Leo. Marveling how much he looked like his brother in some ways. Different skin tone and eye color aside. But the soul. Not as "stained" with blood. But it would be soon enough. The price of what must be done. "..your brother left you a gift already. It is already at work elsewhere."

*Bzzz!* Leo's body started to glow. A light green that passed over. Bestowing information and taking something away as well.

"My Brother.. he has been missing.." Leo couldn't actually remember how long actually. "Maxmillion is most likely .. most likely.. that is a lot of info." He stopped talking to help digest things.

"He is doing work for me. You can do the work like him as well. Or you can continue things here. Either way, all the information will be available when you wake up. Your choice to proceed or not." A sense of urgency could be seen in her eyes. Leo nodded. Then said yes. "Thank you. It will be both fun and terrible at times."

*Shine!* Gaia disappeared in green light. So did Leo in a way. His soul was taken from the body. Time itself also changed. Minutes turned to seconds. Seconds turned to milliseconds. Milliseconds to Microseconds. Microseconds to Nanoseconds. Then finally to Picoseconds.

I am where exactly?

The Boundary-

.

People and various animals were flittering about back and forth. Some in a rush, some just talking while moving. The thing about them, they were all exuding energy around them.

Leo would find out much later they were wielding Dimensional Laws. The very makeup of Reality. It was on a small scale compared to the bigwigs, but it was happening. Which was really weird.

Almost out of comic books or an old cartoon.

Before Leo could get his bearings, he was hoisted up. Taken by invisible hands. Individuals moved away. A few eyeing him to see "what" he was. And "who" he belonged to.

None made any moves. That was a good way to get.. removed. No one wanted that. Not after working so hard to get to where they were.

A few grinned at the newbie. Things always turned better when newbies arrived. Meant the work they were doing was going forward. Proof that more "realities" would stay around in the end.

Leo was moved to a desk. Very nice business desk with a potted plant on it. The odd thing was that plant seemed to sway just a little. As if reacting to his presence. Across from him was a talking mouse.

The first few sentences were completely lost to him. Its light bright and seemed to take up the area. But also not take up the area. Which made no sense to him really at the time.

The mouse went to work again. Looking over documents before stopping. The hands let Leo go finally.

"Ah, Leonardo. Welcome to the Boundary. Mother was quite insistent I answer any and all your questions while we have the time of course. You have done good work for her already." Eyes stopping on a small note on who was the man's family. "Oh, your brother.... is something of a thing amongst our kind."

"Right, and that is.. your kind?"

"A Reincarnator in the simplest of terms. We are low in number compared to the olden days." The mouse said simply. "We are the last of an old breed. You, even more so. Your brother has taken a path most well needed. Especially in our Pantheon. Or "Conclave" if you will."

"Pantheon... Gaia's Pantheon.. not the Greek one since.. that is Zeus's right?" The little mouse nodded. "So is he safe? My brother, I mean?" The mouse nodded again. "What has he been doing? Exactly really."

"Birthing Demi-children." The mouse said matter of fact. "Which the Dimensional-Galaxy needs. We do not need another "Collapse" to happen after the last one. But your brother and others have taken care to help with that. Numbers are low but the children's Souls are powerful. Dangerous to others who wish to take advantage of that. But out of reach and able to grow to respectable levels. Fearful levels."

Leo looked a little confused. The mouse said the words well enough. But other words could be heard as well. A few other languages were spoken with those. It was... hard to comprehend.

"Where is he now?"

"D.C. Dimension making sure the Earth survives. And the outer part of the Milky Way. It is the domain of Earth Deities and the like after all. Everything outside that.. well.. other things territory mostly."

"Can I talk to him?" Leo received a hard no. "Is it impossible for me to do so?" A yes at that.

"The passage has closed. The only way to speak with him now, is if he dies. In that singular moment, you can reach him in the Boundry. Or use a massive amount of energy. Which is counterproductive." The mouse rubbed at his chin in thought. "You are not the lazy type from your file, and boredom will set in after you calm down. Or death. You are to weak to stay in the Boundry to long."

"The Boundry is not the Afterlife is it?"

"In a way yes. But not really for us. Lesser souls come here to rest and meet their individual Religious, Spiritual, or Scientific choice of worship. It is fleeting and quick. Maybe five seconds that they perceive as countless centuries sometimes." The mouse looked to a clock and watched it strike a single second. "Nonbelievers or Faithless go elsewhere. I have no idea where and do not care. Do not ask about it."

"Ok.. so.." Leo rubbed his chin slightly. Wondering why it was somewhat the same as the mouse. "You are not me in some weird crazy way or something right? Not caused by mind slipping into craziness."

"Nope." The mouse denied it outright. "I am a child of Apollo. 3rd in line to become the next over his domain. Which I might add, I will not be taking. The name is Barnabus by the way. People just read the plaque and already make fun of my name some."

"Nice name Barnabus." Leo said simply. "Leonardo .. huh?" He tried to introduce himself fully. I can not remember my last name or my middle name. Why?"

"Because we do not have them." Barnabus shook his head ruefully. "Lost coming to the Boundary. But the first name, we keep. To powerful and tied to who and what we are. You may discard it on your own, but that comes with a set of problems. I hope you do not do that. Oh!" He hopped up onto the desk. "Try not to die to early. You will die and not return here if you do. Cease to be really. Gaining strength and knowledge does wonders. You need strength for the first time. So... become strong really quickly for the contract to be fulfilled."

"I do that how exactly?"

"Our Pantheon does Contracts. Some do blood rituals or.." Barnabus swished his tail about. It was longer than his little body actually. "..sacrifices of bodies and condemning of souls. All the good stuff back in the day."

"Uh-huh." Leo tucked that away for later. "So, what all do I do again?"

"Right!" The mouse jumped up doing a little kick. "We protect Earth. From Foreign and Domestic. Gaia intervenes when it is close to getting destroyed outright. Some of us make sure things are lined up to do what is needed to humanity. Thus the Conclave. But other work is making Demi children to carry on throughout the current Galaxies that inhabit the Dimensions as a whole. You are sent to do things with the populace. Old days on Earth it was meant to inspire and cause fear. That is not needed anymore really."

"The hell.."

"Right, we travel to Diety less Worlds. Given birth by human imagination. Which is a very powerful dangerous energy really. Since imagination is faith or worship energy. When the Internet God came, oh boy that rookie took a beating when it caused so many problems." Barnabus' eyes took on a dangerous hue to them. "But as a human yourself, now a Champion, you can do a lot with it. The place you are heading to is a small one. But an expansive Destiny. Try to dig into other avenues while there. And your strength grows according to the things you do. Scenarios that are weaved into place naturally or by your submind, which is your Imaginative power taking over with the Dimension doing the work."

"Gotcha.. be a male ****. Or technically a breeder. So find someone to bare children. An a lot of them. Or culture vats to create infants. That sounds like a good idea to me." Leo said thoughtfully. "Genetic induced embryos go a long way. Remove the fetus from the patient and place it into a vat would be the best outcome. If it is a number thing that is needed."

"Yes.. gross but yes." Barnabus said. His thoughts on how different the brothers were, very differently passing in his mind. 'He is a little more.. inhuman starting off than his brother was. But it will give us the numbers. It is getting hard for us to reach the other places. Not a big enough working force to make up for the collapses. Quality but no quantity.'

"True, but it will help solve things faster. So I take it the need for deities and whatnot has another purpose besides just keeping the collapse of our Galaxy."

"Yes. The place people go after death." Barnabus said. His face twinkling slightly. Happy that Leo caught on to this part. "They are reborn in the "other" places. Depending on what they "follow" of course. Some get a clean slate and a fresh start. Some live a life of torment for what they did in the past."

"Hmm so the point of us.." Leo pointed at himself and at Barnabus. "..is to make sure they have a place to go to? An Earth to go to anyway to be born? Or another planet in the milky way Galaxy or something like it?"

"Yes as a matter of speaking. There are more souls coming over that are waiting. And considering how champions carry in them the tiniest bit of souls from others as an anchor point, them going out and spreading their seed is another way for others to be born. The arrival alone in a place will send the soul pieces out and allow rebirth. Which has already happen for you."

"Say what now?" Leo questioned. He hadn't gone anywhere besides here. At least as far as he knew. Remembering the tiniest thing that happened before, it couldnt have been that. Could it? "When?"

"The process that made you a champion. You carried quite a number with you at that time. Then the sense of loneliness was also most likely Gaia was sad when doing so. But she rather sees people have a chance then none at all. We are pro Earth faction more than anything. Which you are still, yes?"

"Yeah. Well never met a Xenos before in my life. So.." Leo thought about some of the things he was told. "..save Earth wherever I go. Save the Galaxy if I can as well. But Earth is more important." He received a nod. "Ok.. but where am I going exactly?"

"I will get to that. Let's talk about the other questions you have." Barnabus looked at the clock again. It was getting ready to strike once more. "I rather you not go to your destination unprepared and damaged."

The two talked for quite a while. Before Leo received a box and went to the exit. It was literally marked exit up above it. Like an old emergency sign. Showing bright red.

"Oof!" A young man bumped into him. "Sorry about that."

"Yeah, I bet." Leo said. He was heading to the exit when someone bumped into him from the side. Which was weird since he was the only one originally walking near it. "Not dealing with any B.S. What did you do **** boi?"

"Woah man, take it easy." The young man backed away slowly. Attention already drawn to them. But Leo turned to him and kicked his leg. Shattering it in the process. The young man gritted his teeth. Leo called his bluff. A few of the rules he picked up from Barnabus at the forefront of his mind. "I slipped a Demigod into you that was dying. The same as I did to your brother."

A woman with burning hands already came over grabbing the young man. A somewhat family resemblance. In the eyes and bronze skin that seems to glow a light gold.

"I am sorry for my brother." Her voice flowed out like honey. Barnabus had appeared next to the young man. Looking back and forth between Leo and him. Waiting to see what he would do. "The demi he passed into you.. is dying. To much energy lost helping people. Needs a chance to live in a way. We do not have a Pantheon anymore. It ..collapsed."

"Tch, stupid. Would this have hurt me in any way?" Leo asked more towards Barnabus than her. The mouse shook no. The woman just stared blankly. Not knowing what would happen next. "Whatever. I will deal with this if I make it back, I think Barnabus can take care of this for now."

Leo didn't remember what the exact ruling would be. To many laws to go through. He made it a point if he succeeds in wherever he is going to make sure the next time he becomes a lawyer of sorts.

*Thk!* The door closed loudly as he went through. The others gathering their own assessments after what happened.

"Alright you brats, why did you do this?" Barnabus asked. His voice stern and not wanting any excuses. He heard about the collapse but the Pantheon scattered so far away to fast that they couldn't help. "Do not try to run either!"

"I gave him Tlaloc." The male said. "Like his brother, he has a small tie to our Pantheon naturally."

"Gaia has both the brothers and do not think none are aware how she works." The female said. "She finds those with mixed heritage to make her champions if she could. Why is that?"

"Humph!" A multi-armed man walked by but stopped in disgust at the female's tone. "She does so because of Harmony. Do not forget the Origin of Gaia child. Unlike most of us who do not allow true Alliances to form, the "Conclave" does."

A few other deities listening in with passing champions.

"We were only able to stop the collapse when working togethor in certain avenues." The multiarmed man admonished her and her brother. Eyes burning in red light. "Barnabus, please be lenient with them if you can. I may not be a part of that Pantheon anymore, but I rather not see it wiped out."

"Of course." Barnabus nodded watching the multiarmed man walk away. "Now for you two. Come with me. Much to discuss. Especially about Tlaloc. I doubt you will see him again considering the gift that Maxmillion left Leonardo."

The two deities followed behind slightly dejected. Quite a few Pantheons already gossiping as they went along with work. If Leo survived he would have quite a few people wanting to speak with him.

A few bets had turned into a cluster **** of additional add ons. Some betting Leo would not make it to Godhood but become a Titan.

Some betting he would not become anything his first time around like his brother. But they did bet he would survive his first time around.

Tlaloc is another in a long list of Aztec deities that did not mind occasional bloodshed. Moreover, Tlaloc was a capricious fellow. A benevolent god of rain, fertility, and lightning, he had limited patience. Angered Tlaloc would send storms, hurricanes, floods, and droughts. Diseases and famine were not beyond his control either.

Eden Prime Part 1 Descent in a Shuttle

First Day on the Job-

.

Traveling in a shuttle were a few people and one Xenos. The Xenos was that of the species called Turian. An odd type of creature with military design and history ingrained deeply. A joke of them being birdlike was a thing, but where really, most couldn't tell.

The others were all human. The same as almost every Dimension really in the regard to potential and accomplishments. Full of ambition and capable of good and bad things in equal measure.

A.I. - installing… process complete... Waking up Champion Leonardo now.

"Uh, what the hell?" The man asked himself. His jaw ached a bit as things were just so weird still. He had a really crazy dream. In which he talked to a woman with black-purple hair. Bronze skin and a piercing set of eyes that changed colors. 'That.. was a very nice dream. But am I still sleeping by chance?'

Thoughts were muddled and almost foggy in way of vision for a bit. The focus was coming after a current of unusual energy passed over him.

A.I.- It was no dream, Leonardo.

Thoughts assaulted him quite quickly. Making it very real about what was happening. Slowly his mind pieced things back together. He was not tripping on a failed experiment or anything such as that.

"You ok Commander?" An armored man across from him asked. The technology of the armor was was very futuristic compared to what the Champion was used to. Very different from standard military gear Leonardo knew really. "Earth to Leo?" He waved his hands slightly to garner attention towards it.

"Yeah, just a little headache Jenkins." The Commander said off handley as he got his bearings back fully. 'Wait who the hell is Jenkins?' His thoughts answered him as his brain burned in his skull a little. Massive amounts of information started to rack around in his noggin. After 3 minutes it was done. "Ha.. ha..ha... man, that's.. just ugh."

A.I.- Congratulations Champion Leonardo on understanding your situation finally. You are 321st on the First Transition to do so. Boosting mentality slightly in the process from resisting mental shock.

"Commander, you need something to drink? Touch down on the ground soon would make it difficult." Jenkins realized the armor made things difficult during descent to do so. Backing out would not change anything. "Sorry about that Leo."

"So loose on regulations." Nihlus, the Turian said. "But since we have two Shepard's here of the same rank, it makes sense."

"It is fine. Do not worry about it." Leo looked across at the woman from him. She was quiet for the time being. Thoughts are already in his head to mess with things for use further. For experimentation purposes of course. "Chatter suggests you were the same way. If you believe that anyway." That earned a smirk from the woman. It was Jane Shepard across from him of course. "You seem calm sis. Gonna have to teach me how you do it someday."

"Anytime." Jane gave a nod but said nothing else. She looked away trying to figure out what the change was in her brother. 'Leo, was never been this polite to me. Not after the last time we met.  Is he finally coming around?'

A.I.- Your soul has attached to this one. However, a bit of a divergent and "Scenarios" are available because of it. Jane, your sister had a different upbringing than you. As for you, your body developed to reflect your soul that was recovering all these years while you transitioned over.

'Shit go ahead and let me know everything then.' Leo thought back. Settling down as he studied himself and his own mental reactions to what was going on currently. Slowly he went over the Cultivation Manual his brother left him. A way to set his different Aspects as he gained strength. 'So much to choose from. At least the body is trained all this time from the Alliance Military. Heck, haven't done anything with the Honest Military in 50 years or so back home. Gotta love medical advancement. Then again, I am so young again.'

Leo moved his body in micro-movements within the armor. It would take about five minutes to do so fully. Considering the current body strength matched his old one. A lot of room for genetic enhancements. As well as this Cultivation stuff that was now in his head.

A.I.- Both of your parents were Spacer in origin. This affects Jane more than you. Both of your parents were in the Alliance military. Your mother and your father received different stations due to skill. They seperated with the plan to get back togethor after it was over. She took a temporary husband to make sure Jane didnt grow up without a father figure present. Jane's childhood was spent on ships and stations as your mother transferred from posting to posting, never staying in one location for more than a few years. Following in your parents' footsteps, you enlisted at the age of eighteen the same as Jane did. Your mother Hannah Shepard, still serving, though an assignment that is only available with this background you will be able to speak with her. If you wish.

'Take it that dad had it rougher?' Leo thought it odd how the memories were appearing more and more in his head as the A.I. talked. 'I actually lived this myself. How odd in a way. Hmm, I wonder how this has affected my personality?'

A.I.- Your father did the same as her. And took a temporary wife to make sure you grew up with a mother figure present. As a Colonist, you were raised on Mindoir, a small border colony in the Attican Traverse. When you were sixteen, slavers raided Mindoir, slaughtering your family and friends. You were saved by a passing Alliance patrol that your mother sent. With them dead, your mother rightfully adopted you. Your stepfather did not get along with you at all. To willful and reminded him he would always be second in your mother's heart. Jane was upset and didn't like it. So you went off to military school after a month to stop the fighting. You also have a unique mission "Scenario" with this as a Colonist character. When exiting the docking bay elevator returning to the Citadel, the Scenario will trigger to help a fellow survivor of Mindoir, who was taken by slavers during the raid on Mindoir when you were sixteen.

'Well dang. Eh, so why does the relationship between me and Jane feel off?' Leo looked over to her. A feeling of slight animosity building up. 'Never had a sister before. I just realized I still ended up having a Colonist upbringing, despite not going with the Ex-Wife to space in my previous life. Oh, the irony of it all happening technically to me immediately after.'

A.I.- Slight resentment on your part. Letters were sent that were ignored on their end by you. It was not till your graduation and acceptance into the Alliance that you confronted them both. They both didn't know you sent letters. Your mother was livid. But, her status in the Alliance Navy kept her from acting against her 2nd husband. Jane broke his nose at the graduation in retaliation. She has tried to mend fences since then. But you both have been busy with your careers. Different assignment Scenarios to keep you away as you developed.

'Haa, I see.' Leo leaned back in his seat once more. The others finding it strange how he now seemed calm and composed. The movements of restlessness did not go unnoticed. 'Speaking of our careers. Who got what?'

A.I.- Jane has the War Hero by all accounts. Early in her military career, she found herself facing an overwhelming enemy force. She risked her own life to save fellow personnel and defeat the enemy despite the impossible odds. Her bravery and heroism have earned medals and recognition from the Alliance fleet. As the War Hero, she almost single-handedly repelled an attack by Batarian slavers on Elysium, earning the Star of Terra, the Alliance's highest honor. She has a special dialogue in the UNC: Espionage Probe assignment. If you are with her, a special Scenario will trigger as well in the regards of you being a Champion and the effect of it influencing.

'That is nice.' Leo couldn't decide if this was good or bad for himself. 'Myself?'

A.I.- Sole Survivor: During your service, a mission you were on went horribly wrong. Trapped in an extreme survival situation, you had to overcome physical torments and psychological stresses that would have broken most people. You survived while all those around you fell, and now you alone are left to tell the tale. Your Sole Survivor's unit was slaughtered in a Thresher maw attack on Akuze. As a Sole Survivor,  you have both Sin and Virtue spirit energy and have a special Scenario to unfold in the UNC: Dead Scientists assignment.

'That is nice. So your purpose is what?' Leo checked over the armor and weapons he had on. It was all standard gear that would not last long really. But Jane had the same loadout. 'Hmmm, defintely can not wait to change up things.'

A.I.- Just hear to help you along. Your mind, body, and soul need help to navigate everything. You need to survive until the end of Mass Effect 1 overall Scenario really. If you do not, the Reapers will find a way to enter your original "Earth's" Galaxy. And you know what will happen then.

To be an anchor that kept the Dimension togethor was also something that a Champion existing a place was part of.

'Shit. Well way to make a man work hard.' Leo shook his head in dismay. He could feel a bit of a tingle down his spine. He was excited as the memories came more to the surface. He wanted to study and look into some of the dealings "he" set up. Especially with a "Contract" that was set up with some companies. 'I can feel something odd inside me. What is that.'

A.I.- That is me. I exist inside of you. Your soul and my self are fused. If it makes you feel any better, we become stronger by getting intimate with people or drinking their blood. We are incapable of contracting any disease in this way. Also, you die, I die.

"Cough... Cough!" Leo felt the need to cough. He raised his hand signaling the others off and concerns they showed. "It is nothing. Just the filter having a little something in it." Removing the filter by his arms everything was alright to them when looking. But a little dust was there, so they left it alone not saying much. 'Good to know. Well partner, hopefully, I remember everything soon.'

A.I.- This is a good time to needle out your Cultivation Manual. A lot of info is available from your brother. And I do mean a lot. Champion Maxmillion did not come up short in this regard for preparation.

'Right. You said Sin and Virtue earlier. Let's change that.' Leo was grateful for his brother's help, but that reeked of some things tied to close to him. He was his own man after all and decisions needed to be made. 'It's all about values and perspective I suppose. But I am not devout Catholic like he is. So.. change Virtue to... Order. And change Sin to Chaos.'

A.I.- Mental notes now changed. What do you wish to do about the field of "Study" for your Cultivation?

'Hmm, I will need a strong body considering I have to head to the Andromeda Galaxy where Earth 2 will be. So durability is a must for me. But Cultivation can make the body go to some crazy heights if this info is correct.' Leo mentally blinked at the possibilities. 'So Body Cultivation and Mental Cultivation since Biotics will become even more powerful with that. Regular Spiritual/Magic will have to take a back seat to things.'

A.I.- I have located a few that may interest you. Adding in your own personal tastes, I believe the Reaping Manual will be perfect for all of those avenues. It will allow you to take the mental, blood, and spirit of those used to increase your own understanding. More tied to the "Chaos" of things instead of "Order" really.

'Hmm, sounds good. The medical advancements I release will take care of things for Order. So there is that.' Leo thought simply. 'A lot of people to kill and experiment on really. So no loss there actually. With my intellect increasing, I can develop a lot to cure problems that develop on Earth naturally as well as a few diseases that have come about from the interaction of meeting the Xenos here.'

The remainder of the time was spent going over things. With the A.I. helping, everything was smooth with them working together. Leo did speak while talking mentally with the A.I. of course. Getting to know Jenkins better. A possible contract for later.

The contracts he formed linked the signer to him and allowed them to learn a few things. Spiritual energy was sent to Leo from it. A few were already done before he arrived but this was mostly for later and work-related. He couldn't use it personally just yet.

Mostly for the benefit of the former. The A.I. was learning human behavior to help Leo understand better for certain things in the future. As well as its Prime Directive given by Leo's brother Maxmillion. Make sure his humanity stays intact. Leo was lacking in morals really.

Kaiden only said a little here and there. Jane observed happily that her brother was opening up to the new crew. He was just recently assigned a week ago to them. Around the same time they received word about some secret Ops.
