Taoist and Little Fox – 01

Su Tang crouched in the underbrush while holding two stalks of grass in his hands. His big black eyes glistening and his small, porcelain white face flushed, the exaggerated cowlick[1] on top of his head moved as he nervously stared at the man bathing in the stream.

The man’s body embraced the water and as he wetted his hair, the stream water ran down his neck, lingering for a moment at his collarbone before flowing down the sharp and sexy contours of his strong muscles. As the sound of splashing water echoed, Su Tang became exceedingly more nervous.

The man washed for a while, then suddenly turned around. The system exclaimed excitedly: “He turned around, turned around. Quickly get ready. When I yell 3-2-1, you immediately start running!”

“Ooohhh!” Su Tang made a few sounds of agreement and quickly threw away the grass in hand. Taking a deep breath, he transformed in a single shake of his body, changing into a small and fluffy white fox.

Currently, he was a fox demon but before, he was not. The former him should have been a human but unfortunately, he did not have any memories of it as it had been erased by the system.

At that time, the system had captured him to complete tasks and if he did not accomplish them, he would not be able to return home. Su Tang had thrown a tantrum at first before eventually ending up here, crouching in the underbrush and stalking the male lord.

This was the first world he was transmigrated to. The male lord was a small Taoist priest who was actually a half demon, born from a Demon King and a human. Alienated since childhood, he later ran into the female lord, Su Qing, a kind and gentle fox demon, when he had descended the mountain to gain experience.

The two fell in love at first sight and after facing many hardships, they finally got together. Afterward, the male lord awakened his half-demon soul and became the new generation’s Demon King. He then lead the female lord, Su Qing, in ruling the entire Demon World.

The ending for the two was very perfect. Su Tang’s ending, however, was not so great.

He was a small, super-slag BOSS who happened to be the dear younger brother of the female lord. Not only did Su Tang not support the male and female lord, everyday, he would incited disharmony between the two people’s feelings. Wanting to break apart he male and female lord and make himself the next Demon King, he conveniently allied himself with the old demons that had joined hands to killed the male lord’s parents long ago.

Ultimately, Su Tang did not succeed as the male lord snapped the tendon of his hands and feet and shut him up inside of his family’s ancestral Devil Suppression Tower[2].

Su Tang had been scared half to death after hearing the story. Fortunately, the system informed him that there existed a method to remedy it. Only then was he able to suppress his tears.

The remedial method was to become an admirable person by doing good deeds. First, act as the middleman for the male and female lord, allowing the two people to successfully get together. Then, help the male lord to eliminate the final BOSS. After the male lord assumes his position as the Demon King, wait for the male and female lord to embark on the path leading to the pinnacle of life. Only then would Su Tang’s task be complete.

Barely a few days has passed since Su Tang transmigrated and the story was only just beginning. A few days ago, the female lord, Su Qing, met with the clan and was forced a marriage. Unable to endure, she decided to run away and as a result, Su Tang immediately followed, saying that he would help by being her guard. In fact, he was actually just taking the opportunity to complete the task. At present, they were hiding in the western side of Phoenix Mountain. The male lord, however, was walking on the eastern side of Phoenix Mountain. In order to let the male and female lord smoothly meet each other, Su Tang decided to make an effort.

System: “While you are in your fox form, take the male lord’s clothes, then immediately run to the west. By all means, do not let him catch you. So long as the two meet, your task will be more than half completed. This system believes in you. I will begin the countdown.”

Su Tang nodded, staring intensely at the pieces of clothing piled on the shore. Following the system’s shouts of “3 -2-1,” he scuttled out quite a distance with a whoosh, accurately grabbing onto the clothes with his mouth. In addition, he provoked with a loud wail and swung his tail, then began running to the west of the mountain.

Ling Si turned around, just in time to see a flash of white. Reacting very quickly, he jumped directly to the shore and opened a wrapped bundle to see that his magic tools[3] and treasures were still there. Except for the clothes he had taken off, nothing had been lost.

What did the little fox want to do?

Ling Si raised his eyebrows and did not hurry to chase. Instead, he casually took out a different set of clothes that had been prepared beforehand. Just as he was putting them on, he heard a wailing sound coming from behind and once again turned around. Standing on a stone, the small white fox from a moment ago looked at him, baring his teeth.

Furthermore, his black eyes were shining with a layer of mist.

He looked quite pitiful.

Su Tang seriously believed that he was being very wronged right now. Although he had practiced it countless times in his mind before, he had forgotten that the male lord also carried a wrapped bundle, a bundle that also had clothes. At the moment, the other person was not chasing him, probably ridiculing at heart that he was a fool.

Thinking about it, he wanted to cry.

Su Tang, this person, had a defect in which he was particularly delicate and very incline to crying. It’s unknown how much the people in his family indulged him before to make him into such a person, but in short, it would be rather surprising if he did not run into any setback when he would so often, on one hand, become listless, and on another, drop golden peas[4].

The system had already experienced how formidable Su Tang’s crying was and quickly comforted: “Little Ancestor, ah, you, don’t cry. The bundle isn’t in the male lord’s hand so you can rush in again and snatch it…… use deception to get through this. The first step is always the hardest. Your current state is really good so you should go quickly.”

“Oh……” Even without the explanation, Su Tang understood. Nevertheless, he still felt wronged and could only give a cry in response as he unwillingly walked to Ling Si’s side. With drooping ears and tears pooling at the rims of his eyes, his expression showed how much grievances he felt. Those unaware would think that he had been bullied.

Ling Si did not know what the little fox was up to, but he suddenly recalled something his master had once told him in passing. In the past, his master had also met with a little fox. It had pulled at the corner of his clothes to walk more than three miles before he finally saw a dying mother fox that had been pierced with an arrow. Supposedly, did this little fox also want him to save someone?

He reach out his hand, only wanting to touch the little fox. Su Tang endured, ultimately chocking back his sobs and pretended to look pitiful by lowering his head. While pretending, he stared at the bundle at the side of the male lord’s leg. Adjusting into a good position, the system then utter a sound and he quickly bounded forward once again, snatching the bundle in his mouth and running away at lightning speed.

Ling Si was suddenly struck dumb. He then darkly cursed before giving chase, following closely behind Su Tang. This time, Su Tang chose a rugged and uneven path. Though dried up tree roots and rattans were completely tangled together into masses before him, his body was flexible. There were gaps that he could simply thread his way through. But for Ling Si, they were a pain. Not only did he have to watch to his footing, he also had to avoid running into the trees.

One man and one fox raced but Su Tang had already exhausted almost all the strength in his body. Beside him, the system openly barked and babbled, giving him an account on the battlefield’s situation.

“Ai ya ya, the male lord can run very fast, ah. He’s 10 meters away from you, ah. Hurry, hurry, faster, faster, wa!”

“Oh, oh, oh, only five meters away. Little Ancestor, hurry up, ah! You have to go west. Don’t go east, there’s a slope ahead! Hey, hey, hey, you’re going to fall!”

Because of the noises created by the system, Su Tangs mind was in disorder. Unable to react in time, he immediately felt the sole of his feet slipping, his image then resembling that of an unstoppable snowball rolling downhill. Ling Si was also the same. The moment he saw what was happening, he took action, wanting to grab onto Su Tang. Able to manage this much, long arms fished out and the fox’s body was caught. However, directly under his feet was empty space and he immediately afterward rolled down the slope together with Su Tang.

Dazed, the heaven spun and the earth shifted.[5] Ling Si fell rather roughly this time and he sat up with much difficulty. As he sat up, he found that his vision was blocked by a white fog.

He wanted to reach out and feel for his bundle but found that his right hand was being pressed down by something. Forcefully grabbing, he felt something both flexible and soft. The feeling was pretty good, even quite bouncy.

What was this thing?

Ling Si, unable to see what it was, was very curious. He gave it another squeeze, only to hear a sound coming from someone beside him.

The white fog scattered and Su Tang and Ling Si’s eyes connected. One, butt *****, and one, holding onto the other person butt cheeks, not letting go.

“Wu…” Finally unable to endure the injustice, Su Tang sat down on Ling Si’s hand that was holding his butt and started to cry.

“Pervert…” Su Tang, crying loudly, shouted, startling the surrounding birds into flight.

秋十杀 ꉂ(ˊᗜˋ*)♡)

Taoist and Little Fox – 02

Su Tang sat on the ground crying, shoulders shaking, and looking as if he had just suffered a great injustice. Currently *****, his porcelain white skin was fully exposed to the outside. He could not keep up with his breathless crying, and as he tried to restrained it, it only cause his entire body to flush completely red. Without question, it was obvious to see that he had been wronged. Contrary to the situation however, it gave off a bit of an erotic taste.

It was as if he had been subjected to that kind of bullying by people.

Ling Si’s mouth and tongue became somewhat parched, his face faintly twisting. He wanted to pull out his hand but so long as he slightly move, he could feel the other person’s soft butt cheeks.

It must be mentioned that Su Tang’s butt cheeks were truly very soft. Just one touch could lead to addiction, even wanting to touch it a second time.

The corner of Ling Si’s mouth twitching, he secretly cursed at his sudden infatuation. Silently reciting from memory the Clear Heart Tactics[1] scriptures, he raised his head again only to connect with Su Tang’s big eyes that was filled with grievances.

Su Tang had developed very well. All of his facial features were refined, particularly his pair of big and shining eyes. So long as those gaze came into contact with people, the other person will very likely immediately give in.

The same was true for Ling Si. With the little fox currently like this, his chest jumped, thumping incessantly.

Su Tang only looked at him for a few seconds before his tears intermittently fell again, his appearance looking extremely pitiful. For no reason at all, Ling Si’s heart gave birth to a slight feeling of tenderness and he almost could not restrain himself from taking the opportunity to reach out and stroke his hair.

“Wu……” Su Tang was hit with a hiccup as he cried.

Unable to bear it, the system spoke: “Little Ancestor, first don’t cry. The task is important, ah. Just a moment ago, I probed around and found that the female lord, having had heard the commotion, ran away.”

The female lord ran away? As soon as Su Tang heard this, he cried even louder.

“I’m sorry, I’ll apologize to you,” Ling Si said hastily.

“Is apologizing useful, ma? Everything has been seen in the light by you, wu, wu, wu……” As Su Tang thought this, his heart felt even more wronged. The female lord had ran away. Now that the male lord could not meet the female lord, his hope of having the two fall in love at first sight was ruined. His task was done for.

Moreover, he had also stumbled and fallen down. His whole body was really hurting and he could not change back into a fox even if he wanted to. He could not even conjure up clothes for himself. Disgracefully sitting butt ***** like this, was there any villain like him? He did not want to do this anymore. He wanted to go home.

As he was thinking this, he began to panic when he felt something pressed painfully from under his butt. Looking down, he realized that it was himself that had been pressing down on the male lord’s hand.

“You, you, you rogue! Why haven’t you pulled it out yet?!” At once, Su Tang jumped up and his face turned into a red apple, with the redness spreading immediately to his neck, arms and leg.

Ling Si quickly took back his hand and seeing that Su Tang was still *****, he immediately took off his clothes. Startled, Su Tang gave a cry and wanted to run away.

He was done for, this male lord was a pervert. The man consider him good-looking and was going to molest him.

Su Tang was only able to run for a few step and could not continue. His foot was hurting and he was too tired to move any further. In the end, he hid behind a large stone and nervously watched Ling Si.

“Sorry, you may have misunderstood. I saw that you…… you don’t have any clothes on and thought to let you wear mine.” Ling Si awkwardly took off his outer robe and handed it over to Su Tang.

Su Tang did not speak and was too suspicious to take the robe. He was originally already very delicate so he was never willing to wear other people’s clothes. However, the scent on Ling Si’s body was very nice. He sniffed and the smell was like the sun mixed with the sweet scent of grass.

Oh, he quite like this kind of scent.

Also, even though Ling Si’s robe was somewhere worn, they were washed very cleanly. Thinking about it, Su Tang finally very slowly took hold of the robe and unfolded it. The robe was a little big for even though he lifted it up pass his head, the end still trailed on the ground.

Su Tang wrinkled his delicate eyebrows, thinking it would take some effort to wear. His small, snow white arms swayed in confusion and as the sun shined down, he glowed with an enamel like light.

Simply the number one most adorable person in the world.

Once again, Ling Si’s heart began to madly jump. He felt that he must somehow be sick for every time he faced this little fox, his face would redden and his heart would jump.

Moreover, what was the most sick of all, was that he actually wanted to……

“How about…… I help you put it on?” Ling Si was finally unable to restrain himself and tried to sound him out.

As soon as he finished speaking, he regretted it. What was he trying to do? Just by seeing the other person’s cuteness, he wanted to help him put on clothes? As a Taoist priest, it was his duty to capture demons and eliminate devils. To not let his heart be moved by worldly desire was the rule. Yet, in spite of everything, he……

However, Su Tang actually stop his movement and held the clothes out, his back and waist sticking out straight. His big eyes swept over Ling Si and his exaggerated cowlick complacently curled upward.

The behavior simply conferred one sentence: Help us[2] change clothes.

What duty? What rule? Ling Si instantly smacked his face and as soon as he finished, he straighten and joyfully walked over. Half squatting in front of Su Tang, he helped him put on the clothes.

Su Tang was very fond of other people serving him and he felt that his fried hair had been smoothed[3]. Obediently, he stretched out his arm to let Ling Si serve him.

Let alone say that Ling Si had the skills to serve people, his movements were also gentle and light and were neither hurried or impatient. He properly arranged Su Tang’s front and after patting his waist, Su Tang obediently turned around, waiting for Ling Si to give him the waistband.

Really obedient.

Ling Si could not help but curve his lip as he helped him to tie the waistband. While arranging the clothes, he conveniently looked downward. Su Tang was seemingly quite thin but his butt had a little bit of flesh, the upturned silhouette outlining against the cotton fabric.

Recalling the feeling from a moment ago, Ling Si’s guilty conscience slightly disappeared and he leisurely went back to arranging the clothes.

At that moment, the system could not help but feel a headache coming. “Little ancestor, ah, how could you make the male lord serve you?”

“He was willing to do it. I didn’t force him. He’s going to be my brother-in-law in the future anyway. Since I’ll be giving him my sister, what’s wrong with having him help me put clothes on?” Su Tang’s words were spoken quite plausibly.

“Ok, ok, ok, you are the most adorable, what you say is the most reasonable.” The system spoke no more to Su Tang and in spite, no longer paid attention to him.

“All done.” Ling Si stood up, and happening to see Su Tang’s little exaggerated cowlick sticking up, he effortlessly smooth it down.

“Hmm.” Su Tang turned his body around, appearing very satisfied. He then jump twice and discovered that he was still barefooted.

From top to bottom, his whole body was white and tender. The same was true for his feet. Just stepping on dried up leaves could easily leave a cut. Because he had been so comfortably served, he had forgotten that he was hurt and upon seeing the small thin cuts, he began to feel distressed.

“It’s bleeding.” Su Tang wrinkled his brow, once again feeling unwell. “My magic power is too weak that I can’t even change back into my original form. Even these cuts I’m unable to fix…”

The cuts were actually very small. Ordinarily, if they had been on Ling Si’s body, he would definitely not have felt it. However, with Su Tang’s wrinkled up brow and delicate and lovable voice, Ling Si instantly felt that his heart was also hurting.

“I will give you some medicine.” Ling Si quickly took out a small porcelain bottle from inside his bundle. This had been given to him by his master before he had left. At the time, he had not wanted it but the other person had said that it was not for him to use. Now, he felt that it was truly accurate. He truly did not need to use it as it was for his little fox to use instead.

Su Tang took the small porcelain bottle and had not even opened it to look inside yet when Ling Si stopped him and hugged his waist, carrying him over to a big rock at the side and putting him on top.

Really light. Sure enough, he was a little fox.

Thinking such, Ling Si grabbed his ankle in his hand. First taking out a water bag from the bundle, he helped Su Tang to wash the wounds. He then poured some of the medicine powder onto his hand and massage it in with his finger tips, gradually applying it onto the cuts.

As he applied the medicine, he felt that his heart was like a capering monkey and his mind like a galloping horse[4]. Mainly, it was because Su Tang’s little feet grew very well and when he looked at them, he thought that they were very adorable and comfortable to rub. The moment he had poured on the medicine powder, it may have been a little painful as Su Tang had immediately curled up his toes.

The action made them even more lovely.

Though it was not good for his heart to be like this, the corner of Ling Si’s mouth hooked upward. While applying the medicine, he asked: “Little fox, why did you take my things?”

As he heard this, Su Tang’s heart became tense and he tried to pulled back his legs and toes. However, Ling Si firmly restrained them. Overwhelmed by his guilty conscience, he simply said: “I can’t find my sister and I wanted you to help me find her. ”

“But I’m a Taoist priest. Are you not afraid that I would try and capture you?” Ling Si asked, smiling.

“… afraid.” Su Tang answered honestly but hurriedly added: “But you are a good person.”

“How can you see that?” Ling Si asked.

Because the system told me. However, Su Tang obviously could not say that or else he would be exposed. He considered for a moment then said: “You’re good-looking.  My older sister told me that people who are good-looking like us have good and honest characters.”

Ling Si almost laughed out loud. This little fox’s way of flattering was real smooth.  The other person was even able to praise himself once through. In a good mood, he asked: “Do you have a general idea of where your sister was going?”

“System, where to go, ah?” Su Tang hurriedly asked.

“To the capital city,” the system said listlessly.

“To the capital city,” Su Tang stated aloud.

“What are the chances? I am also going to the capital city.” Ling Si nodded and finish applying the medicine. Tearing off a strip of cloth and wrapping it around Su Tang’s wounds, he then said: “Come on, I’ll carry you on my back and take you there.”

“Thank you, you truly are a good person!” Su Tang immediately climbed onto Ling Si’s back, two small hands hugging his neck and slender legs surrounding Ling Si’s waist. As Ling Si stood up, Su Tang’s belly began to rumble.

“Hungry?” Ling Si asked while holding back his laughter.

“En,” Su Tang answered, feeling somewhat embarrassed.

“There are some dried food in the bundle. Fill yourself up with that for now. When we reach the capital, I’ll let you to eat chicken, ba[5].”

Ling Si had yet to finish speaking when Su Tang began to fiercely hammer his back and loudly scolded in his ear: “Pervert!!”

1. Clear Heart Tactics // 清心诀 // qīngxīn jué – Taoist scriptures for clearing the heat. Found the raw but couldn’t find an English translation for it anywhere. x-x

2. us // 朕 / zhen – the royal I/we/us is used here. Its the third person way of talking that Chinese imperial uses, usually the Emperor. Su Tang uses it here or more like this is what Ling Si think Su Tang is saying to him lol

3. fried hair had been smoothed // 炸的毛都被捋顺了 // zhà de máo dōu bèi lǚ shùnle – apparently, having fried hair(炸的毛/炸毛) is like a cat having its hair stand upright and it means someone who is angry, surprised, or emotional. I think that saying his fried hair had smoothed meant that his previous anger had been pacified.

4. heart like a capering monkey and mind like a galloping horse|心猿意马|xīnyuányìmǎ – idiom; restless or distracted; the human mind is turbulent, like a difficult to control horse.

5. chicken, ba // 鸡吧 // jī ba – 鸡(jī) means chicken while 吧(ba) is modal particle that is commonly added to the end of a sentence to express an attitude or making a suggestion. Together, 鸡吧(jī ba) becomes the homophones for 鸡巴(jībā) which means cock. Above is a case of Su Tang misinterpreting the word and thought that Ling Si is asking him to eat something else entirely. On another note, 鸡(jī) is also a slang for **********.

Taoist and Little Fox – 03

Su Tang’s hammering did not hurt the man. Rather, it was like a tickle. His voice, however, was loud and resounding, the shock making Ling Si somewhat dazed.

“How am I a rogue once again?” Ling Si helplessly asked.

“You, you, you.. you just said you’ll invite me to eat chicken[jī]…… oh!” Su Tang suddenly reacted and promptly covering his mouth with his hands. A blush rising on his face, he did not want to continue speaking.

He may have overreacted a little just a moment ago. The ‘ba‘[吧][1] here seems to be the modal particle. This person, Ling Si, probably did not expect this of him, but he happened to be a bit impure. The fact that the two of them were not on the same line made Su Tang feel quite embarrassed.

“Hahaha, you are indeed a Little Ancestor, amusing me to death.” At his side, the system sneered.

“Just say chicken[jī] without the ‘bā‘[巴][2]. That way, it would be harmonious for everyone. Really, can you blame me?” Su Tang mumbled a few words to himself and his face became heated once more. He hammered at Ling Si’s back again then buried his face into the other person’s nape, refusing to say a word.

At this point, Ling Si also reacted and simply thought that Su Tang was amusing. He softly chuckled but was immediately bitten by Su Tang.

Bitten on the back of the neck.

Su Tang’s small teeth grew very evenly and were not at all sharp. Leaving behind only a small watermark after he had finish biting, they did not hurt and merely itched. Hot air puffed against his skin, stirring him up and Ling Si could not help but tremble.

This only made Su Tang think that his bite had hurt the other person. Feeling quite pleased with himself, he shouted: “Not allowed to say anything about this, or I will bite you again.”

“En, okay.” Though Ling Si nodded, he actually wanted the other person to continue biting.

Because it was surprisingly comfortable.

Phoenix Mountain was not far from the capital city. After descending the mountain, they would arrive after walking just a few miles down the road. Ling Si’s footstep were very fast and despite there being a beauty on his back, he did not feel tired at all. On the contrary, he was very happy.

Naturally, Su Tang, who was being carried on his back, was also feeling comfortable. With a rice-cake held in his right hand and a water bag in his left, he would take two bites when hungry, and two mouthful of water when thirsty. The May scenery around him was both beautiful and picturesque, with colorful butterflies lightly dancing about. It was like being out on a spring excursion and Su Tang nearly wanted to indulge in the pleasure and forget his home and duty.

“Little Ancestor, you still have the mind to be happy now? Do you even know where the female lord has ran to?” the system asked, conjecturing darkly.

“Oh, then do you know?” Su Tang asked.

“I……” The system felt choked, growing annoyed with Su Tang, and took a moment to calm itself before saying: “In any case, she has to be somewhere in the capital. It’s written like that in the script. I do not choose the place.”

“Then what should I do, ah?” Not even eating the rice-cake anymore, Su Tang placed it back into Ling Si’s bundle. As he did so, he happened to see a red rope hanging from around Ling Si’s neck and began to claw at it with his nails.

“Just take it one step at a time, okay. The male and female lords are a pair decreed by fate so the two will always be connected by a thread.” The system comforted but then remembered what Su Tangs mind was like. Afraid he would just happily play around, it hurriedly warned: “This is your task. Don’t get distracted. If you can’t complete the task, you won’t be able to return home. If that happens, even crying will be useless.”

“Oh, oh, oh, got it. I will definitely be diligently searching.” Su Tang perfunctory ended the matter and laid in a daze on top of Ling Si. The sun was very warm, the rays making him somewhat sleepy. After letting out a soft sigh, he narrowed his eyes, wanting to take a nap on Ling Si’s back.

“Ling Si, how long until we get there?” Su Tang softly asked.

“We’ll get there before dinner time,” Ling Si answered.

Earlier, the two had already exchanged their names, even conveniently chatting for a while. Su Tang, this person with sincere eyes, to anything that Ling Si asked, he would answer. With just a few words, he had confessed everything about his family.

For example, because of a forced marriage, his order sister felt compelled to run away. He also spoke of how his clan was very powerful and that they did not eat humans as it was enough for them to eat the tributes given to them by the small demons on the mountain. When speaking of this, Su Tang had licked his lips, probably remembering the taste of the mountain’s treasure.

Ling Si listened and his heart felt relieved. He knew that some demons who have already become spiritual, followed the cultivation path and never sinned. Su Tang, as a rarely seen arctic fox who had been pampered and spoiled since childhood, was probably from that kind of clan.

As a result, Su Tang was a kindhearted little demon and Ling Si had a clear conscience about not wanting to capture him.

Su Tang finished speaking and while pulling at the red rope around Ling Si’s neck once again, he asked: “And what about you? Why did you come down the mountain?”

Su Tang only had a general idea of the story’s plot. The system had not told him any specific details. Because he was curious, he couldn’t help but ask.

“I accepted an order from my master to go and capture demons. I’ll only capture demons who have done evil, of course. I won’t capture those who are like you,” Ling Si said.

“And then what?” Su Tang asked, jabbing him with his finger.

“And then?” Ling Si paused, then disappointingly said: “I want to find something.”

“Oh.” Su Tang thought that Ling Si’s tone was a little sad and he immediately felt uncomfortable. In a rare moment of silence, he simply held tightly onto Ling Si’s neck and laid trustingly on his back.

Walking and walking, Su Tang fought to keep his eyelids propped up. Walking and walking again, he fell asleep.

When Su Tang woke up, the sun was already leaning to the west. There were now many pedestrians around, as well as many stalls with peddlers flaunting and selling their crafts. It was very lively and Su Tang curiously looked in all direction. Ling Si informed him that they have already entered the city.

“Wow, that’s great.” Su Tang happily cheered and was itching to climb up and sit directly on Ling Si’s shoulders. Openly looking at everything, his range of movements were not small, attracting the surrounding pedestrians to look his way.

In passing, they also looked at Ling Si.

The two people’s style of dress was quite ordinary but their appearances were truly first class. Ling Si, being the story’s male lord, was handsome and unrestrained. Also being eight feet tall[3], he was extremely eye catching when walking through the crowd. All the young ladies looked his way, blushing and whispering to one another.

Then, there was also the small and attractive young man on his back. With white porcelain-like skin, shining black eyes, red lips and white teeth, he was both lovable and desirable. If couple with a pair of ears, he would almost be like a small milk dog[4].

The two of them were extremely good-looking, like Immortal beings. Passing through, the people could not help but look. Su Tang was also being quite cooperative as he would return the gazes of all those who looked his way, making the people watching to feel embarrassed.

“Are they looking at me because I’m good-looking?” Su Tang poke Ling Si and leaned his body forward to ask in his ear.

The hot breath wormed through his ear, heating up until half of Ling Si’s face was red. Groaning out a sound of agreement, he propped up Su Tang’s bottom and continued walking.

“Why are you always grabbing my butt? It hurts.” Su Tang was discontented.

“Sorry, just wait till I find an inn, then I can apply medicine for you?” Ling Si asked.

“No need to apply medicine. There’s no broken skin so just giving it a rub is enough.” After Su Tang said that, Ling Si’s face was instantly red.

Rub? Is he letting him rub it?

Su Tang did not know that the words he had spoken were ambiguous and as it was heard by the people passing by, they all could not help but turn their heads to look back at the two again. This was a time where the popular customs was to be opened with one’s sexuality and cut sleeves[5] were not uncommon. Within the capital alone, there were many rich young masters who would love to raise a young and beautiful boy. Looking at the two people’s intimate posture and ambiguous words, it may be assume that such was the case.

“You look at him, so good to his own wife, carrying for so long yet not even saying he’s tired.”

Those words flutter to Su Tang’s ear and he raised his head to look up at several people. Feeling bewildered, he bowed his head and said to Ling Si: “Hehe, they take me for your wife.”

“Is that so?” Hearing this, Ling Si’s heart felt very happy and his face revealed a smiling expression. It goes without saying that he was already very good looking but to see this kind of smile, it was simply too beautiful and not at all like a mortal. It cause the surrounding people who looked to feel a burst of dizziness.

Su Tang was aware that these people were watching them, and feeling odd and uncomfortable at heart, he gave Ling Si a poke. “We should quickly leave. It feels strange to be looked at by so many people, almost like looking at a monkey.”

“Ah, will listen to you, little wife.” Ling Si smiled and teased but his feet nonetheless began moving faster.

In fact, he also wanted to quickly leave. His little fox was so cute that even he had not seen enough yet so how could he let others have a look?

Footnotes:

1. ba // 吧 – I explained in chapter 2 how Su Tang thought chicken to be something else and this character is the main culprit. This 吧(ba) is a modal particle.

2. bā // 巴 – The other bā that when added to 鸡(jī), which means chicken, becomes 鸡巴(jībā) which then means cock. Say chicken(鸡), but don’t add bā(巴)//ba(吧)! lol

3. eight feet tall – According to what I looked up, eight feet in ancient China is just 185cm which is like a little over 6 feet. Apparently, an adult male in ancient China had feet smaller than what they are now.

4. small milk dog // 小奶狗 // xiǎo nǎi gǒu – either he a small baby dog or its referencing the Chinese internet slang for a person who is considerate, innocent, sweet, clingy and loyal to his companion

5. cut sleeves // 断袖 // duàn xiù – euphemism for homosexuality
