I walked the streets of saponia, in the darkness of the night as most of the stores and bakeries began to close.

The streets were practically empty except for a few people on the side walks.

I've always enjoyed walking during the night , since it's the only time I tend to stop thinking about things, you know ?

I've lived in saponia for as long as I could remember,with my...parents, we would always go on long walks as we took in saponia's beauty. Stores at any and every corner,fast food places, boutiques, shops and stalls scattered all over the town.

"It's all a..memory now"

My life was like any normal person's life,with two parents who loved me, or at least I thought they loved me. It all started when my mother committed suicide, I was only 12 at the time , so going through that was very difficult.

My father would come home drunk every night,, while staggering all over the place and his words coming out as a slur.

He would call me and I would answer, He would grab me, and start to call me hurtful things like , "you were a mistake"you were the cause of her death"your a curse"or you didn't belong in this world"

He would beat me until I fainted or collapse, I still have the scars , both physically and emotionally. Scars that I tried to get rid of but nothing ever seems to work.

I eventually believed my father, maybe I'm not capable of being loved, that i'll always be the girl that no one would wanted to be around or...wanted.

I continued to walk until I reached a store that was open 24/7. I went inside and purchased a pack of instant noodles ,since that was the only thing I could afford.Money was tight and I could barely afford to pay my rent.

I worked at a coffee shop in which I only made minimum wage $9.00 an hour.

I continued to walk, and heard a high pitch scream. I scanned the area until I saw a man strangling a girl, she looked like she had to be in her early twenties.

Being the person I am , I would've just thrown my hoodie on and pretend that I didn't see anything, but I couldn't just leave her there for him to do "god knows what" with her.

I ran towards the alley way " Get your ******* hands off of her" I basically screamed

Before he had the time to react , I punched him hard in the back of his head which caused him to let go of the girl and fall to the floor.

"What the **** , he shout's at me with anger visable in his voice. run ,I said to the girl , she nodded her head and mouthed thank you.

I started to back up from the man, He was tall and muscular in contrast to my curvy small frame.

I turned around and sprinted away from the man, I didn't bother to fight him seeing that he could easily un-alive me .

I sprinted as fast as I reached my house. I went straight inside , slammed the door shut and locked it. I slid down against the door trying to regulate my breathing.

When it felt like my breathing had gone back to normal , I walked towards the bathroom and turned on the shower. Since my apartment was so small, places were close by.

I stripped off my clothes and walked into the shower, the moment the water came in contact with my skin , my muscles relaxed.

I scrubbed my skin clean, turned off the shower and wrapped myself in a white towel .

I dried myself off and looked in the mirror,I saw a girl with long midnight black hair, emerald green eyes , full lips and a curvy frame, who wasn't capable of being loved.

I threw on some clothes,Made the instant noodles I bought earlier and ate it in what felt like a second.

I washed up the bowl, went to my room and laid down, not long after my sleep consumed me.

"I'm not worthy of love"

"No matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I woke up with a throbbing pain in my head which felt like the worst in history with sweat all over my body. My eyes fluttered open and were greeted by the bright rays of the sun.

I lay in bed until I felt ready to get up. I remembered I had work today, which I was not looking forward to.

I sat up on my mattress and exhaled, "sometimes I often wondered, how my life would be if my parents were still with me.

I probably would've been in a really good college, working towards my bachelor's degree in medical school.

I went to the bathroom, took a quick shower then threw on jeans, a black long sleeve turtleneck, and my black converse.

I went to the kitchen and made French toast along with a cup of tea.

I swallowed them in a matter of seconds, I seem to have a special relationship with food, it's my...friend.

The walk from my house to work was about a 20-minute walk. Most of the bakeries and stores started to open.

The most I would earn was sickened looks from people, it does bother me...at least not anymore.

I walked until I saw a familiar beige building, and I acknowledged that I had arrived at work.

It was an attractive building with two large double doors, with two large windows on each side.

I opened the door to be welcomed with the smell of various variants of coffee and pastries.

I went inside and greeted my colleagues with a good morning. "Good morning, "most of them replied.

There were only 6 of us in the back, Stacia: She had brown eyes, full lips, and brown hair.

Talia:she had blond hair and blue eyes, from the day I started working here she constantly gave me indications that she didn't like me.

She's a real pain in my ***. Jenai:She had blue hair with small lips and light brown eyes. She's very nice and helped me with things that I did not know about.

Liana:She had copper hair, dark blue eyes, and a very nice personality. May: She had long wavy hair and dark brown eyes. May was someone with whom I had gotten extremely close during my time here. She comforted me in times I wanted to quit this place.

And stood up for me when that cunt "Talia", even though I could put her in her place with a ***** slap that the lord himself agreed on.

The shop was rather quiet today, with only a few customers sitting down either drinking their coffee or typing on their laptops.

"Good morning silver you look great today babes" I turned around to see my favorite brown-eyed person. "hey may how are you this morning?

"feeling like shit as always, by the way, the outfit is gorgeous" Thanks girl you don't look too bad yourself, May wrapped her hands around me and gave me a heartwarming hug, and I returned it.

I went for my apron and tied it behind my waist. "I was hoping I wouldn't see that cunt today but, I didn't hope hard enough.

Our boss walked in, and the sound of his shoes clanking onto the hard wooden floor annoyed me even more than being there.

"Good morning ladies, I have come to inform you all that the head of your department will be chosen."

Talia smirked at him which he returned, she's probably giving him her ***** to get a higher wage than the rest of us."what a shame"

The day went on as usual, as we served customers, and dealt with a few Karens who complained about everything, like their coffee being too hot, Like what do you want it to be ******* cold"?

Everyone's attention turned to the black SUVs that pulled up outside.

A man stepped out, then another one followed, and a woman who seems to be his

"assistant"?And a few men who seem to be his bodyguards.

Our boss immediately came out and gave us a glare that you would give your child, to be on their best behavior before going into the store.

They walked inside and found an empty table and not long after, his eyes landed straight on mine.

"May who's that" I whispered. "Girl, you can't be serious, you're telling me you don't know who Leonardo Russo is?

Leonardo Russo"?

Yes, Leonardo Russo, he's the son of the billionaire, Giovanni Russo. He is known all over, and even if you don't know who he is you would've seen or heard of him.

He owns multiple clubs, stores, restaurants, and companies, the most widespread is "El Fortarantro" but is known as "El Trantro"

This guy must be super rich, like filthy rich.

"Hell yeah he is, I can't believe you don't know who Mr. Russo is.

What can you expect, I live under a rock, not in a literal way.

My boss sprinted toward Leonardo with Talia following behind with a notepad and a pen trying to act cute."Good morning Mr. Russo how can we assist you today"

It seems that you consider hiring sluts to work at a coffee shop, he spat while looking at Talia with disgust. His eyes glanced back over to mine which sent shivers down my spine.

They told me that I should be the one to serve him. I walked over and Talia did the same, she shot me a disgusted look before walking back to the counter.

He just stared at me, he had pitch-black hair, a chiseled jaw, and grey cold eyes. He was wearing an all-black suit, it seemed to be a few shades darker than my hair, and my hair was exceptionally dark.

"Black coffee" with his eyes never leaving mine.

Ok, I turned away, but I still felt his eyes on me, "this guy's aura is strong"

I went to the back of the counter and made his "black coffee", just thinking about him saying that made my body tingle.

I bought his coffee and left him with a smile.

"You did that girl " may it was only coffee I exclaimed, we do this all the time.

Yeah, you served coffee silver, to the son of a ******* billionaire.

I glanced back to see what he was doing, and he was gone.

"He could've gone to one of his coffee stores but he chose to come here.

The day went on as usual until my shift was over, it was pretty dark out, but I didn't mind since I was use to walking in the shadows.

I gave May a big hug and left. I started to walk home but, this time it felt like I was being watched.

I pulled out my 5-dollar taser, and hid it in my pocket, I threw on a hoodie, hung my head down, and walked trying not to draw any awareness.

I continued to walk until I reached a sidewalk with a railing to stop me from falling over.

I smelt a strong scent of cologne, I looked up and saw a pair of grey eyes.

M..Mr. Russo?

"I've been... observing you for the past few weeks and it seems that you work..exceptionally well, so in this circumstance, I would give you my number ,if you need anything or on any occasion in which you need help don't be afraid to call me, ok Bella?

"Bella?

He stood next to me with his hands in his pockets, he was a lot taller than I expected him to be.

"He turned towards me and stares straight into my eyes, his cold grey eyes were now a beautiful light grey.

I'm pretty sure my face was red as a tomato by now.

It's ok, it doesn't affect me... at least not anymore.

It's getting rather late, I'll get going now, with anxiousness present in my voice.

He replied with a nod, do you need a ride home, Bella? I wouldn't be comfortable allowing you to walk home alone.

No, I'm fine, besides my house is almost right around the corner.

I shall accompany you on your way home.

"He's stubborn"

I got into his car, And we drove in science, I would hear his breath hitch when I would glance at him.

He seemed to be a very nice person, from what I've seen so far.

"We have arrived at your house" I felt ashamed by the state of my house, I thought he would've looked at me differently after noticing where I lived, but he.. didn't.

He looked at me with the same passionate look he'd been giving me since we were on the sidewalk.

"Goodbye Bella"

I nodded and went inside, "Why do I feel like this, butterflies?

I went to the bathroom and took a shower, I felt relaxed, like the weight of the world have been lifted from my shoulders.

I eventually got out, of the shower and looked at my ***** body, the scars from my father's abuse were still visual but were faded.

I don't know if I should feel miserable or delighted that he's out of my life.

"I'm...Alone"

I went to the kitchen and made some cereal specifically foot loops.

I ate and walked to my room, it was quite late so I decided that I would get some rest.

My phone flashed with the name, Leon visible on the screen.

Leon: Are you secured?

"secured?

I am, thank you.

Leon: Sleep well, Bella.

I placed my phone on the dresser and with that sleep engulfed me.
