i have been living in this forest for about a week now, well, not exactly a forest, it is more of a small mountain with trees on it, not even a square kilometer large.

i do not remember anything about myself, i only know where i am from and what i am, a plant, a weird plant, i look like a green snake with legs, i can fly by flapping my large "leaf wings", i am also really strong, and sturdy, as if i am wearing armor, i do not have anything that could resemble eyes yet i can still see perfectly.

i like to call myself a dragon plant, because i look like a noodle dragon, and i can also breathe fire, i am not sure how i know what i am, but when i think about myself i get answers pushed into my head, at first it seemed weird, but now i am used to it.

it gets really lonely here, the only time i get company is when i hunt, even then the company is the prey running away, so it does not help against the loneliness much.

i enjoy testing out my abilities, so far i managed to learn some powerful moves, those moves are,

flamethrower breath, i spit flames out of my mouth like a flamethrower.

fireball spit, i spit out a small ball of fire, the ball of fire is capable of piercing through rocks while burning the inside with no problem, it is perfect for making a hole to sleep in, or attack a heavily armored opponent.

flame crash, i cover myself in a large layer of fire and rush into the opponent with insane speeds.

explosive ball, kinda like fireball spit, but the ball explodes upon contact with something solid.

targeting blaze, i shoot a burning laser from my mouth, the laser automatically follows the specified target no matter what, i can also split the laser to hit more targets, when it hits it pierces and burns like fireball spit.

flame seal, i specify a situation and put an invisible seal on the target, when the situation happens to the target the target will be surrounded by flames, the target is safe inside the flames but can not move out of the flames, the flames will protect the target from all outside threats, i put this seal on my resting places to protect myself while i rest.

inferno rain, i gather a lot of fire from my surroundings and my body into a large ball, and then launch it into the air, when the ball reaches the destination it will turn into a massive rain of blazing arrows, like targeting blaze, but the projectiles are flaming arrows instead of lasers.

that is the information on my current abilities, i named them out of boredom, and so i can remember them better, i also found out that my own flames do not damage me for some reason, and i also constantly give off warmth around me, not dangerously hot, but a nice warm feeling, like a hug from a warm blanket during winter.

i also found out that i am completely incapable of verbal communication, i can not use any form of speech, i can only give off a growl with no meaning, it only works at seeming threatening.

two weeks after waking up in the "forest" i found a large cave, it was full of plants that look like me, but they were not like me, they were rooted in the ground, not moving at all, even when i took a bite out of one it did not react, for some reason i keep getting a feeling that i should eat them, so i did, they taste bad, disgusting even, every time i eat one i become much stronger so i ignore the taste.

after eating about half of them i stopped, i plan on letting them regrow and then i will start eating them again, i plan on repeating this many times until i have to leave this mountain.

a day later i returned to the cave and found that all of the plants had regrown, i ate half of them and then left, the next day i did the same, after a week of me eating, leaving and returning to eat had passed the plants stopped growing so fast, i had now gained triple my original power, so i am now four times as strong as before.

my body has also developed, now i have horns on top of my head, my teeth are much sharper, and i even have claws now, i also became twice as large as before.

now, the plants give me absolutely no more power, so i ate some of them and then left, but before leaving i closed the cave with some large rocks, just in case i have to return, and it is empty.

after leaving i got bored pretty quickly, it is not fun to be here all on my own, with no one to talk to, so i started focusing on my surroundings, the rustling of the leaves, the sounds of the animals, and the screams of a human, wait, what?

as i was trying to focus on the sounds of nature, i heard a scream, from a human, i think, because after that i heard a loud bang, a gunshot, followed by more screams and gunshots, i could also hear the wind wolves howling, looks like they are fighting the humans, to be honest, i am not surprised, even i am not planning on going into the territory of those aggressive wind wolves.

i made a deal with the wind wolf king to not get in the way of the other so i am safe, but the humans have not made a deal so they are in danger, grave danger according to the sounds, not being able to interact with anyone has made me desperate for attention so i prepare to save the humans, i can not defeat the wind wolves so i need to have a plan.

my plan is really simple, i hunt some wild animals and then trade for the humans with the wolves.

thankfully i was already prepared for the situation where i need to barter with those wind wolves, i have made a small cave in the mountain, filled it with meat, and then covered it with large boulders, now i just have to get through these boulders, uh oh, the boulders are more sturdy than expected, and the battlefield is almost silent, i have to be fast.

as i manage to break through the boulders the sounds of battle disappear, so i take as much meat as i can hold and fly off to where the wolves are howling.

as i arrive i look around and see a group of ten humans, seven of them are surrounded by wolves, but three of them are being eaten by the wolf king, the seven are really lucky, because the wolves always play with their food, only the wolf king has some manners, if you call "kill on sight" manners.

as i appear all of the wolves look at me, the wolf king even growls at me, as i get closer to the wolf king i realize that the wolves are pretty small, the humans too, no, it is just that i have grown after eating the plants.

as the wolf king gets ready to attack i show the meat in my claws and bow down with my face on the ground, upon seeing this the wolf king was happy, to see a larger creature bow to a smaller one was near impossible, but the wolf king did it, causing his ego to grow to near impossible levels, putting his front paw on my head triumphantly and howling, if it was not for the humans i would not do this.

next, i look at the humans, put the meat in my claws on the ground, and growled, with the meaning of saying "trade", thankfully after eating the plants that look like me, i managed to obtain the ability to put meaning behind my growls, so the wolf king knew what i meant.

the wolf king growled "not enough" in wolf language, so the humans only heard growls from our conversation.

"i have more, follow the trail" i growled as i looked at the trail of meat i left behind leading to the cave.

"good, you can take the humans" the wolf king growled at me before howling to the pack and rushing after the trail with the whole pack behind him.

the reason for this trust is that i bowed down to the wolf king, in this forest bowing down means you will not betray, or else you will be hunted down by the other party, and since we already had a deal about not harming the other party i was pretty trustworthy.

because the wolves were still near i put one of the humans the wolf king was eating in my mouth, it only took one bite, which scared the other humans, as the wolves saw me "eat" the human they left, chasing the rest of the pack in the hopes of obtaining some of the meat i traded with the wolf king.

when the wolves had left i spit the human back out with a disgusted expression, making the humans confused thinking "why did it spit the person it ate back out?".

while they were thinking i moved closer to the seven living humans, leaving the three "wolf king chew toys" behind, this frightened the humans because they thought i was going to attack them.

as i was observing the humans i realized that they looked like soldiers, no they were soldiers, looking at their equipment, i could not see a lot of weapons, only rations and small arms, which confused me.

as i realized the humans were shaking i also saw their wounds, the wounds were not fatal, but very painful, so i used one of my new abilities i gained after eating the plants that look like me.

as a tiny green flame came out of my mouth the soldiers looked at the person who the flame was aimed at with fear, as the flame came into contact with the person, instead of burning, their wounds began to close painlessly, shocking the others.

as soon as they realised what happened more green flames flew at the others, healing them too.

"escape, now, not safe" i growled surprising the humans, thankfully they understood and prepared to leave.

"thank you, we will not forget this." the humans said before they left, leaving me alone again.

before i left the area i made sure to burn everything in the area, removing all traces of humans, then i chased the humans, burning everything in the path they took, hiding the fact that the humans left the forest by burning the area, removing the proof that the humans had ever stepped foot in the forest.

after that i went back to the cave i gave to the wolves, upon seeing me the wolf king growled "why are you here" at me.

"it was fun, thank you" i growled, to the wolves it seems that i enjoy playing with my food, just like them, but in reality i was thankful for being able to meet a human again, but that is something i will never tell them.

then i went back to my normal life, for a long time nothing happened, a suspicious amount of nothing happened, not even a single animal did something, wait, that is weird, normally i would at least hear a bird or two, but now, nothing.

as i continued walking around the forest looking around for information, i saw something, a bright light shining from the forest i had burned to hide the humans, so i ran over to the burnt forest, and there i saw something that seemed impossible, yet it was right in front of me, a giant red skinned human with large wings, horns and even long sharp claws.

in front of the red skinned creature there was a girl, a winged girl, with a halo above her red hair, wearing silver and gold light armor, giving off a holy aura, however the girl was injured, with red stains on her armor, the wounds looked like the wounds the humans had when i saved them, painful but not fatal.

as i looked at the red skinned creature again i saw something i wished i never saw, behind the red skinned creature there were hundreds of wolves, even the wolf king, but now they were dried up, looking like all their blood was drained, not just the wolves, i could see almost every creature in the forest, but without blood, giving off a weird feeling, even if i never cared much about them, i still felt bad for them.

in the middle of the pile of dried creatures there was a large altar made of meat and bones, as if the dried creatures have been sacrificed to a demon, "wait, demon? the red skinned creature must be that demon." i growled a bit too loud, causing the demon to look at me, as soon as the demon looks at me my body stops working, as if my instinct is telling me i can not run, or fight.

when the demon saw me it smiled at me with its sharp teeth, the smile seemed innocent, well, as innocent as a demon could seem, but the feeling it gave off was creepy.

"hiyah!" seeing a opening the winged girl attacked the demon with a flaming sword, cutting off one of its wings, after the wing was gone the flames immediately started burning the demons back.

with a loud roar the demon tried to counterattack by slashing its claws, but missed as the girl jumped backwards, away from the demon.

as the girl dodges i jump out of the greenery, and spit out a ball of fire at the demon, turning its attention to me, as the fireball hits the demon it rushes at me with its claws cloaked in an evil aura.

as the demon gets closer i realized i could not dodge, the demon caught me, holding my body with both hands, as the claws hold on to me my body lost all strength, and i could feel my body shriveling up, like a plant that has not been watered in weeks.

i did not want to become like those wolves, but the demon did not let me go.

but thankfully i gave the winged girl time to attack the demon by distracting it, as she put her hands together in prayer the demon realized what she was doing, threw me away, and rushed at her, but before the demon could get to her a bright pillar of light shines from the sky, landing on top of the demon, and burns it to nothingness.

as the demon disappeared i could feel my strength returning, after my strength fully recovered it still kept increasing, as if the power absorbed from the other victims was entering my body.

the only thing left of the demon was a small red and black swirling orb, looking like a marble, as soon as i saw the orb i felt like i had to eat it, no i was certain i had to eat it, as i had that thought my body automatically rushed to the orb and swallowed it in one gulp.

as soon as i swallowed the orb i felt a weird burning feeling throughout my body, as if there were bugs crawling all over me, at the same time my body lost all its original strength, i fell to the ground unable to get up, like those plants that looked like me from the cave.

after some time the feeling of bugs crawling on my body disappeared, but it was replaced by excruciating pain, as if my body is getting torn to shreds, before i fell unconscious i saw the winged girl looking at me sadly, as she was walking over to me, with my last strength i spit out a green fireball at the winged girl, and healed her wounds, after that, everything went dark.
