the grass clan, one of the subsidiary clan which was under one of the major clans in green country, the clan's main occupation was farming and nothing else.

They were often bullied by other subsidiary clans but it could not be compared to what the metal clan does to them.

The metal clan was one of the major clans in green country and also the clan which the grass clan was under, they would most times demand for all their harvests leaving nothing for the members of the grass clan to eat,

They would also frequently raid the grass clan, taking their female youths and use them as slaves as well as their male youths, most times when this happens they would also go as far as killing those who refuses to follow them, while the rest of them who agreed would die anyway mostly by committing suicide, or being starved to death.

Youths were taken from other clans too, but while they would take 50 youths from the grass clan, they took 10 from the rest.

Seeing how the grass clan was maltreated by the metal clan, this caused the other subsidiary clans to also bully the grass clan.

But all these stopped on a faithful day, it was the day the grass clan was completely eliminated by the metal clan.....

It all happened on a faithful day, the men and women from the grass clan where busy farming in order for them to have enough harvest that would be enough for the Metal clan and also themselves.

The children hardly knew what the situation in the grass clan was, so they Just played till their hearts content, while the teenagers would sometimes help out on the farm especially a teenager called Tan Ken, Tan was the son of Rogu Ken and Suzu Ken.

He was a fifteen year old teenager who understood the condition of the grass clan more than any other teenager in the grass clan, so he would always do his best to help his clan anyway he could.

On the day of the elimination of the grass clan, Tan who has always been helping out his parents in the farm was told to take a rest because he overworks himself.

He decided against it but was persuade by his mother that he needed it and must take it, after much arguments and convincement with his mom and dad on the reasons why he did not want to take a rest but instead help them in the farm, they still won and at the end of the day, he decided to stay home and rest..

Some hours had passed and Tan was home alone, his parents had already gone to the farm,

"Uhhh....!, I'm so bored, I should probably go join them in the farm" Tan got up and went for the door but stopped again and said

"No, I should have a rest " Tan left the door and began going back to his room and then he suddenly stopped on his tracks,

"Or, I should go to that place " Tan quickly went back to the door and started walking to the forest that was near grass clan.

After about one hour of walking he had finally reached the forest and then he began heading for the center of the forest.

When he got There, he came face to face with a hot spring, there were few flower pedals floating on the spring.

He had found this place by accident, it happened when on a day just like this one, he was wandering around the forest, he found the spring in a very hidden place in the center of the forest which he accidentally stumbled upon.

The spring was very hidden and if not for that incident, he would had never found it.

Tan had already taken off his clothes to take a bathe in the spring, he jumped into the spring and relaxed his body muscles and also closed his eyes, at that moment, he looked like a sleeping person and not someone who was just relaxed.

Some more hours has passed and Tan was still bathing in the spring.

He first opened his eyes when he heard a faint sound of screaming but closed it again thinking he had just imagined it.

He ran like never before and although he tried to push the feeling away, deep down he knew something wasn't right.

On arriving at the Clan, he stood right in front of the clan entrance's worn out door and just stood there looking at the clan in

shock and fright.

Most of the houses in the clan were burnt while some were still burning, he saw some dead bodies on the floor, both those of children, youths and some men and women.

Unknowningly to him, drops of tears were already flowing down his cheeks and he couldn't control it.

"Who could have done this" Tan mumbled under his breath while sobbing silently

He finally started thinking again and at that moment, he had just remembered that he still hasn't seen his parents among the dead bodies which where laying lifeless on the ground with all type of injuries on their bodies.

He quickly ran to the farm in search of his parents, but he couldn't avoid looking at the other dead bodies, both those of children and the youths, this made him cry even more and he deeply wished nothing happened to his parents even though he knew that they were also dead, he just couldn't accept the reality of that happening.

He got to the farm and just stood there looking at all the dead bodies of everyone who where present in the farm including his parents.

He walked slowly to his parents while crying even more than before.

He got to where both their dead bodies where which was very close to each other, he got down to look at his parents face to get a better view, and once again started crying.

He cried for some seconds and suddenly he stopped, he quickly snapped his once closed eyes open like he had just got a brilliant idea that could cure cancer.

He moved close to his mother and checked her heart beat, it wasn't beating so he quickly moved to his fathers side and checked his own, and it gave him the same result as his mother's.

He went down back on the floor and started crying again, but only this time the crying increased.

He cried so hard that it looked like the tears in his eyes had run out and blood was about to come out soon.

After crying for hours he stopped crying, it felt like he couldn't any more and he had already ran out of tears.

He got up from his parents side while searching for any clue that would tell him who did it.

He suspected that this was done by the metal clan or any of the other clans who bullied his people.

And after walking around for some time he finally found the clue he was searching for, it was the logo of the metal clan drawn on a piece of torn clothes.

He held the piece of material tightly in his palm with a murderous intent,and with

a cold voice he said

"This can't be forgiven.......

_two weeks later...._

Two weeks had passed and Tan was finally done.

He had made a goal, which was to make sure he buries everyone in his clan, and after two weeks of hardwork he was finally done with it.

After that , the next thing he did was to leave grass clan, his main aim was to go to purple city in hopes of finding a job.

He didn't want to stay in their little village anymore, because he knew if the Metal clan were to find out that he was still alive, they would probably send people to kill him, so he immediately left for Purple city.

Purple city is the main city in Orange county, it is the biggest and also the most progressing city and although it was dangerous alone in purple city, Because there was always people who would want to occasionally rob you, it is still a place you would want to go in search of jobs

Tan didn't have much money with him, only the one he would use for food and an inn.

The money when totaled together is exactly 240 soul notes, it was his savings and fortunately his house wasn't among those which got burnt.

He was also able to scavenge some food he could eat during his journey and also a new set of clothes he would wear since his previous one got dirty during the time he buried his clan.

Tan went to purple city on foot, he would sometimes sleep at night and one thing that couldn't go unnoticed by him was that he hardly got tired, he could work from morning till night and still be field with much energy that most nights, he wouldn't even want to sleep, he started noticing this after he first found the hot spring and had taken a bathe in it, but he didn't bother thinking about it because it benefited him alot.

_one week later....._

After one week of walking he had finally arrived at Purple city.

It was already mid noon when he arrived so the sky was still very bright and he could visibly everything in purple city.

The city had tall buildings that were made with concrete bricks, unlike his clan, that lived in small wooden houses .

He had never seen anything like the city before, it was filled with so many people walking around, some were in a hurry, they would occasionally run into him and not get an apology, but he was already used to the treatment.

He continued roaming the city and one of the things that amused him were the walls.

The walls were built to defend the city against demon beasts, some years decades ago, demon beasts began evolving and then they began moving in hordes and started destroying villages and some were even able to destroy cities, so a wall was built to defend the remaining of humanity against demon beasts.

Everyone lived inside these walls, as well as the three cities in green country and some other villages, they All knew about the other countries but due to the demon beasts lurking around everywhere, the lost all connections to them.

Tan knew about the walls because he had read about it in books back in his clan.

Tan was still looking at the almost 1000ft tall walls when he suddenly noticed the crowd that was gathering some meters away from the wall entrance, it wasn't far away from where he stood so he quickly went there to check it out.

On his arrival there, he began hearing whispers like,

"It's the slayers guild"

Just as he began wondering what the slayers guild meant, he suddenly looked up to see bold youths wearing uniforms with smiles on their faces and weapons on their palms........
