First Meet
Frederick saw a lady wearing a white dress sitting in a bench. He walks toward her.

Excuse me, can I asked where is the nearest convenience store?
the lady was shock by what he just did.

The shock in the lady's face replace by happiness because finally someone saw her.

So, where is the nearest convenience store?
Ligaya
Oh, yeah. I can take you there.
Ligaya stood up and started to walk. While Frederick followed her.
Minutes passed, they arrived the convenience store.

Frederick smile to Ligaya and she smiled back. Then an idea pop in his mind.

By the way, I'm planning to buy some snacks. Would you mind if I got you one?
Ligaya
No, It's okay and besides I have to go. I'm waiting for someone in the bench. Bye!

Frederick pushed the door and went inside the convenience store. He walks around the store and chose snacks that he want to buy. The he went home after.
The Accident
Few years ago, Frederick was just graduated in college and his father told him that their family would go on a picnic trip to celebrate.

Son, Let's go on a picnic trip in Rizal Park. Your Mother and I want to celebrate because finally to you got your degree.

Yeah son, let's go on a trip. I'll pack what we will need.
Frederick Imperial
That sounds great! I'll help you mom to prepare.

Then I'll check the car if the gas tank is still enough.
Ferdinand went to his son and wife after he check the car that they will use.

The gas tank of our car is still full and all the parts are doing well.

So, it's all settled. Come on, I'll drive.
They put the food basket and all the things that might need in the compartment of their car. They went inside the car before Frederick start the engine.
While Frederick is driving, he can't stop looking at his parent's face. They are glad and proud because he graduated in flying colors.
He smiled and went to look back in the road. He turned right and an unexpected happened. A twelve-wheeler truck bumped in their car and cause the car to roll over.
Frederick saw his parents hugging each other while the car still rolling. But his parents accidentally hit their head in the cars window. Then they fainted.
He Woke Up
It's been three years since that accident happened. Frederick is the only one in his family who survived. He's in a comatose since then.
It was a miracle that he survived that kind of accident because he's the one who drove their car.
His aunt, Sharon Castro was the one who took care of him in the hospital. She's also the one who took care of her sister and brother-in-law's funeral.
Now, she is sleeping beside her nephew's hospital bed. But a sudden touch on her head woke her up. She opened her eyes and searched for the person who did it. She was surprised when she saw who it was. It was her nephew who touched her head.

My goodness! I'm glad that you finally woke up, my dear.
Frederick smiled and try to talk. But no voice came out of his mouth. Sharon pressed the button on the side of the hospital bed to call the doctor who's in charged of her nephew.
After a couple of minutes, a doctor and a nurse came. They immediately check Frederick and took some test. The nurse write what the doctor is saying in the patient's chart. When they're done checking, they turned to his aunt.
Doctor Dimasalang
Good day, Ms. Castro. I checked your nephew's condition. I'm glad that finally he woke up. His condition is getting better.
Doctor Dimasalang
His sensory skills are functioned well. But his motor skills are not good because he's been laying on the bed this pass few years.
Doctor Dimasalang
But don't worry. His motor skills will surely get better when he does simple exercises.
Sharon Castro
That's great to hear, doctor. But I think something wrong in his voice. He tried to speak earlier, no voice came out on his mouth.
Doctor Dimasalang
No voice came out on his mouth when he speaks because he's been on a coma these pass years. Also, his throat was dry that's why it happened. His voice will be back later. He just need to rest and drink some water.
Doctor Dimasalang
By the way, I have to go. Congratulations and take care.
Sharon just smile to the doctor. Then she put some water in the glass when the doctor and the nurse left.
Sharon Castro
My dear, you have to drink water. I'll help you sit.
Frederick just nod. His aunt help him sit and make him drink a glass of water. He tried to speak again after he drank a glass of water and a voice finally came out in his mouth.

Aunt Sharon, I'm glad to see you. Hope you doing good.
Sharon Castro
Yes, my dear. I am doing great.
Frederick Imperial
So, it's been three years since the accident happened and all those years, I am in coma.

What happened to my parents? I saw their head bumped in the car's window.

I'm sorry, my dear. But your parents died in that accident. You are the only one who survived that tragedy.
Frederick shed tears because of the news that he heard. He cried his heart out. His aunt hugged him and comfort him.
