𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙩

{Note: This is a one-shot ( no continuation) so it may seem long but it’s not that I’ve not tried to turn it into chapters. I did, and it looked very weird, so please bear with me this long original story I wrote. Thank You and enjoy reading.

-Carrie(Author)}“Ahh how cute was that!!” said Abby to herself rolling in her bed from side to side. “I’d better narrate this book to Ella!” she said smiling to herself as she got up energetically from her bed and made her way downstairs. “Mother! I’m taking Rocko for a walk!” said the young brunette girl after putting her hair up to a messy yet classy bun.

“Okay Abby, but do be sure to arrive back home before 6:00pm alright?” said her mother sweetly.

“Alright!.” replied Abby. As the brunette girl was about to leave with her dog on the leash she remembered something. Something really important indeed.

“Jacket check, hair check, leash check hmm, water ofcourse it’s there silly me. (Gasp)Yikes!! I forgot my book, sorry buddy wait here I’ll be right back”. “Woof! Woof!” barked Rocko loudly as he wanted to go to a walk very badly. “Woop! Alright let’s go. ”As the young girl was walking with her dog, she couldn’t help but be excited to visit Ella as it was her best friend’s house. “Ohh? Abby!!” said the maple syrup-like haired girl while running her way to her very best friend. “Ohh! Ella!,” said Abby while panting “That’s rare, what are you doing outside?” “Oh” said Ella while panting “I was just gonna take Milo my new dog for a walk” “What?! You have a new dog? Since when? Why didn’t you notify me?? ” asked Abby in a surprise “Hehe” laughed her best friend “Sorry, sorry I actually got him from my uncle, he’ll go a trip with aunt to the Bahamas. Let’s go first I’ll tell you everything that has happened in the morning! Let’s go Rocko!”

As the hours passed by the girls were laughing and chatting but they were also worn out, and Ella suggested this idea which made Abby to visit the place regularly.

“(Sighs) you know Abby, this is fun and all, but like can we ease up somewhere?” said Ella in exhaustion “Alright so am I, but our pals looks like their having fun” said the brunette haired-girl while giggling “Ohh!! I know!!, How about we go to a near-by dog café? There’s Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Chihuahuas, Pomeranians and Samoyeds and so many other fluffy cuties” said Ella blissfully “Oh my, Pomeranians and Samoyeds?? We’d better run!!” said Abby in eagerness.

As they went in the girls got welcomed warmly by a breath-taking young lad, and while their orders were in line, the kind waitress showed them the way to their destination. “Here they are. Everyone come and say hi!!” said the waitress. The girls squealed as they couldn’t help but stand the dogs cuteness.

The girls then ate and played with the other dogs for awhile and so did Milo and Rocko. “Yikes!! I’m gonna be late, apologies Ella but I have to go now, Mum’s gonna be mad at me! However could you backpedal on your own??” said Abby in a dash “Ofcourse! I wanted to ease my mind for abit more anyways, I’ll ask my boyfriend to come and pick up me up from here Abby!” said Ella while playing with a poodle “Great! See ya tomorrow! Let’s go Rocko!

As the brunette girl reached home and made her way to her little sister’s room, Emma she saw something unexpected yet exciting.

“SURPRISE SHAWTYY!!” yelled Abby “Wha- I TOLD YOU TO KNOCK THE DOOR BEFORE COMING IN!! “shouted her younger sister in dismay. “Sorry, sorry!” apologized her elder sister ..” Hmph! Save it!!” Said Emma sulkily “By the way your boyfriend has followed me back after years but atleast he did!! HAH! I’ll text him tonight!” said cunning Emma with a smirk “Boyfriend?? Me?? When?? A boyfriend?? Huh??” questioned the elder sister “Ohh, don’t be shy sweet sister” said Emma teasingly “Who else could it be apart from “M” ”

“M”?? (Gasps) Oh!! Don’t you dare Emma!!” said Abby in rage “He’s been long gone along with the pass, now don’t you ever bring that up again.”Well “M” is Abby’s crush since grade 4, and the reason why Abby fell in love with this tall and handsome young lad was simple!. When Abby went to music school and was still a learner to the keyboard, she kind of mixed up the keys and that was when this hero of hers saved her from embarrassment “You look troubled! May I help you?” said the kind lad “Oh yes please I kind of mixed up the keys C-G-E-D-F A, A#/Bb, B, C, C#/Db, D, D#/Eb, E, F, F#/Gb, G, and G#/Ab. Ughh!” said the brunette girl in annoyance “Woahh! You memorized everything tho! You’re awesome!” said the young lad in amazement “I’m Mel and you?” “Oh well I’m Abby! Nice to meet you. And I didn’t memorized anything! I just looked at my manuscript book” said the young brunette girl while chuckling.

“Alright! Let’s see what we’re working with!! said the young lad in excitement. After few hard tries and practices Abby finally managed learned her favorite piece and it was all thanks to Mel.

“Thank you so much for today Mel! You’re brilliant!! I long to see you tomorrow too!” said Abby happily “...Ohh.. I’m sorry Abby...You’ll no longer see me anymore here starting from tomorrow” said a sad-looking young Mel “Oh?...And why’s that Mel?” questioned Abby out of the ordinary “Well..” answered Mel downhearted “I’ve got to go abroad for my studies specifically London and I’ll be living with my parents and grand mother .....And I shall’nt be back till Christmas or New year arrives.....” “Ohh” responded Abby bitterly “But you’ll be back for special holidays and we can still always be friends and-and, you’ll obviously be back soon enough right????!!” “I’m really sorry Abby but I don’t really even if I’ll be back for even the special holidays... But I promise, I’ll never forget you!“.

Just then, Mel explored hard in his bag to give Abby something “Here” said the boy while gently shoving the book in front of Abby. “A book??.. What for??” said the young girl “It’s a present from me to you, I actually have more but this is the only one I brought with me. It has up to 20 volume, sounds boring and long but trust me, when you start reading it ,it’ll end like the blink of eye.” said the boy “No-no it’s okay really, I love books”. said the girl. “Thanks a bunch! I’ll be sure to read it. Also if you’re an early bird, could you maybe pay an early visit here at 6:00am?“. “Hmm here? 6:00am?” questioned the boy “I don’t see why not I’ll tell my father about it. Well enough of these sad news. Let’s go I’ll introduce you to, two of my very friends!!“.

Mel introduced Abby both his male and female friends, Brandon and Zendaya. Brandon was in the drums while Zendaya was on the cello. “Abby? If you want you can perhaps you can get along with my younger cousin, Hazel she’s on the keyboard too!” said the tall girl. “Ohh Hazel’s your cousin? I do sometimes talk to her, so I don’t see why not!” smiled Abby ” “That’s a great idea! Gosh! I’ve got to get home now farewell guys!” said Mel while hugging his three friends one by one. ” “Save journey bro! Bye” said Brandon.

Dawn arrived and Abby was wide-awake, Rocko was just a puppy then and would stick to young Abby as he considered her his pack. So Abby left the house at 5:00am with her eldest brother Author as an excuse to talk Rocko on a walk. The walk was about 20-30 minutes from Abby’s house, and so they left. And so Author and Abby arrived there at 5:43am, and Author fancied a drink and so he went a few steps away from Abby to reach the vending machine. And that was when-.

“BOO!” shrill a familiar voice “AHH!” cried out poor frightened Abby “What was that for??? And why are you here so early??”

“Sorry! My bad but my parents told me to be back before 6:20 soooooo here I am” said Mel awkwardly “Whatever is with the commotion??” questioned Author “Ohh? Who are you?? Are you lost?? “Oh-no sir.” answered Mel “I came with my driver he’s behind this wall and My name is Mel Williams. I came here to reunite with Abby from yesterday.” “Yes” agreed Abby “Thanks for making it here, I wanted to give you this. I made it yesterday for you, sorry if these aren’t your colors” “No, it’s lovely! Blue and red and black are one of my favorites. Thanks a bunch Abby!!. Abby was so delighted to hear that she had work very hard to make the charm she gave to Mel. And soon it was time for Mel to leaveSoon Mel left after handing over a big suitcase to Abby. “I’ll miss you brother!” Abby thought to herself while smiling.

Soon Author and Abby reached home and ate their breakfast as they were the only ones who hasn’t “That was good meal now wasn’t it Abby??“. No responds “Abby? Hello? Earth to Abby?? You still alive?? ABBY?!!!!” “Ahh!! Yes and why are you shouting?” frowned Abby “Why am shouting?? WHY AM I SHOUTING?????? I’VE BEEN CALLING YOU SINCE THE PASS 3-4 MINUTES. Replied her brother. “Ohh.... really??? Sorry... I’ll be in my room” said Abby while putting her dishes away and walking to her room.“(Sighs) Was she always like this Rocko?? questioned Author. “Woof! Woof! Woof!” barked Rocko while slowing putting his waggy tail down.

Abby was in her room not knowing what to do with the large suitcase Mel had left for her. She opened the windows and sat on her pink chair and thought- “Hmm, alright!! I think it’s time to open it. After all it’s my present!!!” said the young girl. She got up and made her way to the suitcase and sat on the floor. When she opened the suitcase she couldn’t have been more happier to see- “Books!!!! Woahhhh so many! Ah here’s all the volume of the book Mel gave gave me ‘Mr. Moonlight and Ms. Sunlight’!!!! Wahhh I’m so ready to read these!!! Oh and what’s this?” cried out Abby excitingly “OHH DRAGON BALL Z!!!!!! My favorites!!!!!!!!”

The young girl got so many books and mangas from the kind lad, Mel. She also received a letter which it-

’Dear Abby,

I’ve given you these books so you’ll enjoy them, as you said you liked reading books and not that I’m kind or anything It’s just I don’t have enough space for them. Hehe just kidding, I’ve also added some mangas I hope you’ll enjoy reading them.

Abby was now a very intelligent and beautiful girl and was now in 8 grade, and Mel hasn’t returned from New year to Christmas for 3 years now. It didn’t bother Abby at all for Mel had already informed Abby about his situation.

“Hmm, hey!” said Emma “He’s been gone for ages now. You still like him???. “Ofcourse!! He’s too kind and has helped me several times and he was and is also very kind to give me so many books!!!!” squeaked Abby “(Sighs) If you say so sis.... But my personal opinion is that “Crushes” are a waste of time if you’re only the talker not a doer and that annoys me” said Emma irritatingly “Oh shush you brat!! Anyways i-.”

Abby was soon shuted off by her mother by the saying- “Girls and Boys come down right now!!“. When all the family members gathered in the living room, Abby’s father said-. “Kids The Williams are coming back today and as a kind welcome to them we’ll go to the airport and fetch them. “Oh goody!!!! I wonder how Mel’s looking now!!” said the excited Abby.

Soon the Joan’s family left for the airport, it was a 2hours drive and Emma puked on the way so they had to stop for awhile and continue their journey. They reached the airport a little early before the William’s family arrived and had fun exploring the airport and then after 10-12 minutes the plane finally arrived. They all waited and that’s when Abby saw three familiar looking people and her eyes to see- “Mel!! Mrs. and Mr. Williams!! Welcome back!!” shouted Abby thrilled “..Abby??” mumbled Mel for he was shocked to see the young cute Abby, all grown up.

The Joan’s family welcomed the Williams family and off they went back home and that was when the awkwardness happened.

After dinner Mel and Abby went to take Roco on an evening walk.

“You look so different now Mel, you became so tall and handsome” complemented Abby to her handsome friend “Likewise Abby I was abit hesitant that you were really Abby or not” giggled Mel “Brr-” shivered Abby in cold “It sure is cold, but when Mum told me all of a sudden that you all were coming I thought she was joking but who knew now, you’re literally standing infront of me!!“. “Sorry for not visiting you these past 3 years I told my father but then he said it’d be a waste of time and money so yea” laughed Mel awkwardly “But now we’re not going anywhere anymore.” “What?! Really?” questioned AbbyMel didn’t respond and took off his muffler and wrapped it around Abby and that’s when Abby noticed-

“You- you still have this???” asked Abby while holding Mel’s wrist to take a look at the same old charm Abby had made for Mel. “Ohh.... y-yea” replied Mel. The teens didn’t notice how close their faces were to each other as they were both looking at Mel’s wrist and that was when they noticed.

“AHHHHH” yelled both of them in surprised since their lips almost touched. Both of them stood there in silence and flustered. The brunette girl broke the silence with- “U-um thanks for the muffler.” “Oh uhh nevermind it’s my pleasure” mumbled Mel. “Woof! Woof! Woof!” barked poor Rocko loudly “Ahh sorry Rocko...........Mel shall we go back now?” spoked the young girl “Sure let’s go...........”While Rocko was bung catching the snow flakes falling from the sky and the two friends walking in silence and enjoyed the cool wind breeze and the snow falling on top of their head’s and while they were walking Mel frozed stunned when he suddenly heard-

“Would you like the both of us to come into one....Mel??” asked Abby nervously while looking down at Rocko. “W-what you mean like d-date??” asked Mel backed “Mhm something like that.....” responded Abby.

The boy stopped and looked at the girl and so did the girl, the dog was wondering why his leash felt so much like a hanging rope “Woof! Woof! Woof!” cried Rocko in pain. “(Gasps) sorry Rocko, you can play here for awhile” said Abby while taking off the leash. “Abby?... Are you joking??” questioned Mel downhearted “I am dead serious Mel, I’ve liked you for 5 years straight now and I think it’s about time I know how you feel too!” uttered Abby while looking at Mel directly in the eyes “I’m sorry Abby........... but.....I see as no-one but a good and close friend.....I hope that’s okay....Sorry I’ll go first” said Mel and goes back on his own leaving Abby alone in tears and embarrassment about she just said.

It was around 10:22pm and Abby returned home. All soaked due to the snow she walked through. Since that night the two childhood friends didn’t talk to each other since they both felt awkward, and so the two friends grew up to be strangers. Both the families were absolutely stunned at this and so the Williams had to move out since Mel’s grandfather moved to their place and so Abby haven’t seen Mel since that very day. Part of her didn’t even bother but she did ignore the other feeling of her half.

It was around Christmas and Abby was already 18 and was in the Church to volunteer to look after the small and big children, and she made a new-male friend named Marco and also a female friend named Alethia. They recently became friends in the event of “Children’s Festival”. But little did Abby know Marco secretly has a crush on his very friend, Abby............... And this last day of this event Marco did...-

“Pheww it sure is cold” said Abby in a shiver “I mean what do you expect it’s December!! Winter!!” laughed Alethia seeing the poor shivering Abby. “Then lemme hug you Abbs” said Marco.

“No! Let you hug me??? No way I don’t even allow my own siblings to do that I feel uncomfortable and disgusted. “It’s fine!” replied Marco with a laugh. Marco was about to hug Abby from behind but before that someone stopped him, someone really unexpected indeed

“Step back punk!! Can’t you see she’s uncomfortable??? She literally told you to step back and you’re still shameless to come close to her?????.” said Abby’s childhood friend angrily and furious and shoving back the tall, glasses, handsome guy from Abby. “(Gasps) M-Mel? what are you doing here?” commented Abby. “Abby!! Why would let this random dude touch you like that!!??” demanded Mel in dismay. “Huh??!!! When did I even let him do that???” disagreed Abby.“Ohh pleasee Abby I was behind the group-A all along and I saw everything from him tickling or poking your waist to patting your head!!!” shouted Mel for now he was a handsome, tall, foul-mouthed and hot-tempered guy and no longer the cute kid who helped Abby years ago.“Why are you getting so mad?!!! You’re acting as if your my boyfriend!!!!” Abby rudely responded to Mel. “W-well” Mel stuttered indeed why did he react like that?? He was a nobody to Abby now and they don’t even talk to each other anymore. “Dude instead of lashing out on her like that, how about you deal this as a mature man and lash out on me instead?? Orrrrrrrrrrrr is the tough-boy a kitten???.

Mel immediately became furious and threw some punches at Marco and he fell to the ground. Mel sat on Marco’s stomach and making it hard for him to breathe and punches every bit of his face and little did Marco know his lips were already leaking blood and so is his nose.The chairman and the other grown volunteer immediately came to stop the fight, Mel was not hurt but his hand was and Marco well he fainted and was taken to the Church's infirmary. Alethia went on to check on Marco while Abby- “Let’s go” Abby said quietly while pulling Mel away from his friends. Abby took Mel to the back of the Church where no one was present except silence. “Sit down.” demanded Abby Mel just quietly obeyed Abby and sat while Abby tool out a cute panda Band-Aid and her handkerchief. She first cleaned his blood from his knuckles even tho Abby had Hemophobia (fear of blood) she ignored that fact and continues to clean it with he handkerchief. “Abby stop it I’m fine” Mel softly said “No I don’t listen to peasants sorry” Abby replied while still cleaning his hand. “Well doesn’t my master have Hemophobia ?(fear of blood) ??? I’ve never seen a fellow peasant to get treated so nicely before” narrated Mel with a chuckle. “Hmm. Why did you do that Mel? questioned Abby softly as she was and is a gentle girl and soft-toned ever since she was little and even when she’s angry.

Mel, thought for a brief moment and struggled to questioned that was asked but he replied-

“...I don’t know it just looked so weird and you looked very uncomfortable as well so I stepped. Mel was also very surprised at himself for talking in a soft-tone only towards Abby. “Ahh, yes I was indeed thank you but you could’ve just talk to Marco now the Christmas carol is cancelled unless Marco gets up...... what a shame...“. Mel looked at Abby and questioned “Listen Abby it sounds weird but do you still like me?” “W-what??? Hahaha no why would I??? I got your answers and have indeed moved on hahah” spoke the high-pitched Abby cause she was and is obviously lying. “Then Emma lied to me huh?” Mel said while smiling to himself and looking down disappointed “Emma?? What did she say???“.Mel replied by saying “She texted me in Instagram and told me you cried cause you saw me with Liza.....and even send a voice note and as well as a picture............” Abby could not believe what she she heard she was also mad at Emma but at the same time embarrassed for herself for the girl have liked Mel for straight 9 years now. The brunette fell down and hugged her knees covering the crying face or hers, Mel was so surprised to see the devastated girl and softly said “H-hey, why are you crying.................. Don’t cry............. I-is it about Marco??..... I’m sorry....” “N-no nonononono I-I-I’m sorry Mel” cried Abby bitterly. “Wh-why are you apologizing ..When I-I s-s-should be the one” said Mel with a voice crack while slowing fall into his knees as well .

“I’m-I’m so sorry Mel. I-I-I tried to move on when you told me we’re just friends bu-but I c-can’t. I...... even d-dated t-three guys to replace you but...W-when I left them I felt nothing NOTHING AT ALL!!!! But I-I................... I wonder why it still hurts when you said that!!!!. cried Abby painfully.

“D-don’t cry Abby” said Mel devastated while hugging Abby “I-I did the same I-I U-SED LISA TO FORGET YOU, REPLACE YOU ..........BUT...I ended up missing you more than before.... That nigh.... I didn’t reject you Abby...”

“Abby got out of Mel’s gentle hug and looked up to the tall with tears still in her eyes and said “H-huh but you........” Abby was soon cuted offf by Mel putting his hand on her mouth. ” I rejected you because..............” Mel spoke hesitantly “.........Because????....” Abby question while removing his hand from her mouth.. Me inhaled in some fresh air and hesitantly said “I WANT TO BE THE ONE TO THAT OKAY NOT YOU!!!!! SO ABBY JOANS WILL YOU BE MY GIRLFRIEND??!!!! Mel shouted with pure flushed cheeks and dried tears on his eyes.

Abby just stood there in silence while looking at the flustered Mel and thought “No way. I must be dreaming right??? No way he will ever like me....” she was interrupt by someone calling “By- Ab- Abb- Abby- Abby- ABBY!” called out Mel “H-huh?” responded Abby startled “S-s-so what do you say? said Mel in red. “So this isn’t a dream i-i-it IT’S TRUE” Abby thought. “S-sorry Abby I’ll give you some time first” embarrassed Mel said facing his back to Abby. And that was when Abby ran and jumped happily on Mel which made him surprise. “WAAH” Mel shouted since he and Abby nearly fell if Mel didn’t balance “Where do you think you’re going you don’t want answers?” Abby teasing said “Ah -yes I want but get down first you’re heavy” said Mel unamused. As Abby was about to get off Mel tossed Abby to a comfortable piggyback ride position and both of them giggled.” Thank you for going through so much pain for me and being patience for 9 years” thanked Mel shyly while carrying Abby. Abby softly poked Mel’s cheek and said “Well I don’t mind since my misunderstanding is cleared and I’d better thank Emma for this. (Sighs relaxed) and who knew the story I read came to life” chuckled Abby softly” “Hah? What story?” questioned Mel “Ohh nothing” Abby replied ’Hmm who knew those fictional girl and boy had the same story as us Mel” she thought while smiling and resting her chin on Mel’s shoulder “Then I think all those years you and I have waited is-” questioned Mel as snow fell on their head and they both replied while giggling “ Were Worth It”.
