Hey guys welcome to the beginning of a new book I'm calling Found His Story. This is going to be surrounded by Harkyn and Storie and how their lives changed. I hope you guys enjoy. Eight Years Ago today...

      Today is the day that I lost my best friend. I haven't been to his grave at all since everything happened. I haven't been to his parents home. I've only been able to talk to them for about 15 minutes at a time before they ask how I am and see if I can come over at some point to catch up. I'm in medical school to get my degree and become a doctor. I'm doing most of it online and I'm watching videos on it. Some of the lessons are done in a local place in town or in the community hospital.

I walk out of the cafe from my double shift and drop off my paycheck into the bank. Harkyn's parents are rich and decided to pay my tuition with the trust fund that was meant for Harkyn. They thought that's what Harkyn would want out of that sort of thing. I walk into my small apartment and I see that my laptop is fully charged. I smile before going to my laptop after ordering Jimmy Johns and beginning my lesson from school that's sent to me every day at 12pm. I haven't eaten all day so I kinda have to eat at some time or else I'm gonna pass out.

My friend, Liam usually comes over to make sure I'm okay and brings me dinner every once in a while. We text a lot but he's the closest thing to what I had with Harkyn.My Jimmy Johns comes about 30 minutes later and I open the door to see Liam with my food and a dorky smile on his face. I laugh a little and let him into my apartment and I finish up my work so I can get ready to go out with Liam to a new club that's in town.

"How about we get dinner at that one Greek place you like?" He asked.

I smile and nod excitedly. He knows how much I love going there because of their soup. Harkyn, Liam and I used to go to this place all the time and Harkyn would get lemon rice soup with me.

{\~ HARKYN'S POV\~}

Where's Liam? I haven't heard back from him in hours. He's clearly hiding something and, that's what I'm gonna find out. Liam has always been a good friend of Storie's family. He joined the gang about a month after I did. The only reason he's still around is because he agreed to keep me updated on the major events of her lives. Later I get a text from Liam getting an update about Storie. It kinda sucks that I can't be around Storie like I used to. We would always go to the bonfires together.

     I want Liam to text me back because I haven't heard about Storie in about 5 months. He's supposed to let me know about her every months. It pisses me off because my right hand man isn't doing his job the way he is supposed to.

"I will update you on what's going on when I get back. I promised her to dinner at our favorite place. Anything from the PI?" Liam texted.

"Not yet. He should be getting back to me some time today. He said that there is a lot to talk about." I respond before hearing the door being knocked upon.

"Come in!" I call out.

The door opens for our private investigator Samuel walking in looking a bit to serious for my taste. He sits down across from me and hands me the file. He also pulls out his laptop to show a recording of my rivals Raphael and Quinton talking about Storie.

"Who the hell is Storie Verona?!" Raphael says.

"Someone from Harkyn's old life apparently they were extremely close. There's more to the story I know it." Quinton says.

The video ends and he nods as I go through the files and I see that she's going through her final year of Medical school before her internship and to become a medical specialist who works with Trauma. He looks at me and once I finish I look at him and began to think about what I saw in the video.

"Mind if I say my opinion,Sir?" He asked.

"Sure. I need some kind of opinion. Especially from the guy who is helping me out so much." I say.

He takes a deep breath and sighs.

"From what I can see Storie is happy with her life. She has Liam she has her medical school. She's close with your parents but the one thing we need to worry about is her safety. If Raphael and Quinton get to her they are gonna force our hand to bring Storie here to work shit out in that kind of sense." Samuel exclaimed.

Samuel wasn't wrong at all. Raphael is the one who brought me into the gang related business. Raphael used to be close to me when he was my right hand man before Liam. Eventually we found out that he was working with a rival and he left the gang. After being beaten senseless of course. Quinton is a person who was related to the Leader before me. They are dead now but he is vengeful for their brothers death. I take my phone out and text Liam.

"We need to talk. It's important."

Liams POV

     "Hey I gotta go do some things before we go to dinner. I'll be back!" Liam said.

     I really needed to go and see Harkyn. He said that we needed to talk. It's probably him wanting to catch up on Harkyn's life. I haven't updated him in a while due to the fact that I've been working a lot outside of the gang to help Storie with the bills for her apartment. She doesn't want to worry Harkyn's parents.

     "Alright. Hurry back Li-"  she called out from her room as she was clearly doing some extra lessons on her school stuff.

Authors note: Stories nickname for Liam is pronounced Lee.

     I walk out and get into my car and drive to the Head Quarters to meet up with Harkyn. I see Samuel walking away and he clearly looks stressed. Somethings wrong. I know cause I have a bad feeling about what Harkyn's meeting with me is about. I walk in knowing he's gonna know it's me.  He glared at me as I sat down.

     "Look boss-"

      "Don't give me that bullshit Liam. You know you're supposed to update me every fucking month. You can't even do something as simple as that!" Harkyn barked.

     "Harkyn hold the **** up for a second!" I bark back. "If you'd let me explain why I haven't been around you'd understand why I've been nonexistent lately besides deliveries and patrols"

    "Better be a damn good reason for my right hand man not being around for almost 6 months." Harkyn said bitterly.

    "Is trying to keep a roof over Storie's head a good enough reason?" I yell. "She doesn't want to bother your parents about her financial issue when it comes to her job with her rent in her apartment so she's gonna move in with me to save her the trouble. That's why I'm taking her out to dinner and then the bonfire. She's been stressed lately and today of all days sucks for her because it's the day you faked your death."

    It pisses me off that Harkyn thinks he's okay to just get updates on her life when he just left her hanging just because of some gang leader inauguration. It doesn't make sense and Storie doesn't deserve that.

       "Quinton and Raphael were talking about her. They are trying to figure out her identity. She's in danger." I say bluntly.

WAIT WHAT THE ****?!

       "Are you fucking kidding me Harkyn?! You're the one who faked your fucking death to protect her. And just saying I still don't fucking understand why you did that idiotic move." I say "Let me guess. I'm gonna be the one to take care of her."

        "No. I have a plan.. I'm gonna see Storie again.." he said softly.

Storie's POV

After about two lessons done without counting the one that was meant for today I finally stop typing away at my laptop and I get a text from Liam that he is on his way. I walk over to my closet to hear a window break. I'm wearing jeans and a hoody at the moment so I'm decent. I walk out cautiously and look around.

"Liam?" She called out.

I turn my head to see some guy who had a gun pointed at me. My eyes widen and I began to wonder what the hell this was about. I'm not a criminal and this guy is definitely not a cop. I look at him as I step back until I'm pinned against the wall. I hear the door open to see that it's Liam.

"L\-Li\-" I say fearfully.

"Rosie don't move one muscle. Things are gonna be fine. Just close your eyes." Liam said. I close my eyes to hear a conversation between Liam and the guy.

"So you're her little protector aren't you? You know we aren't the only gang after her? They know who she is to him.." the mystery guy says.

"Raphael this isn't good. You know what he's gonna do if he finds out what you're pulling with Quinn." Liam warned.

Then all of a sudden I feel a sharp pain and I hear a gunshot. Everything goes black.

Sorry it's so short today guys. I just thought that this would be a good place to end.

Liams POV

    I see that Raphael shot Storie in the stomach. What the ****?! I beat the crap out of him to a point where he runs away. Storie doesn't deserve this. She is totally innocent in this bullshit. It's Harkyn's fault. If he didn't leave her life this wouldn't have fucking happened. I'm livid. I run over to see Storie in shock. I pick her up bridal style and I can feel the anxiety rushing through me. I call Sienna, my girlfriend and the other medic at the HQ.

     "What's up baby?" She said as she was clearly doing something.

    "**** Liam it hurts." Storie cried.

    "Sienna baby, Storie was shot by Raphael. Get the medical bay ready and don't tell Harkyn. He doesn't have the right to fucking see her right now." He said.

    "Got it. See you soon." She says before hanging up.

     By the time we get there my shirt is full of blood and Storie is unconscious because of all the blood she lost. Sienna looks at her and they bring her to the medical bay. Everything is going so fast.

      "****. Please be okay.." I sigh out.

Storie's Pov.

      Why can't I wake up? I hear voices and I feel stuff but I can't wake up. All of a sudden I see my parents standing in a light of white. My mom is standing in a white gown and my dad looks happy in a white tux.

"Momma? Daddy?" I say as I feel my eyes beginning to water as I look at them.

My mom walks up to me and rests her hand on my cheek as her tears streamed down her cheeks. She hugs me and looks at me. Touching my hair and running her hands down my arms as she looks me up and down.

     "My beautiful baby girl." She said softly.

     "Mom where am I?" I ask softly.

     My dad walks over and puts a hand on my moms shoulder.

       "You're in the world between Life and death, Storie." He said. "It's pretty much giving you a chance to come to heaven with us or to go back and fight for the life you so proudly earned."

     Not gonna lie. Part of me wants to go with my parents and live with my parents in heaven but I know that Liam needs me. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he knew he didn't save me.

     "I miss you so much.." I sob out as I refer to both parents.

      "We miss you too Rosie." Mom says softly. "But you gotta go back to earth and be with your friends and family."

     "But you guys are my family!!" I exclaim.

     "Princess-" my dad says. "Do you really think Liam can be okay without you? You have to go back. We're watching over you. We will always be here and in your dreams"

     "I-I don't understand why this is so hard.." I sob out.

      "Because you have so much. You have Liam, Harkyn's Family, your medical school, and a bright future a head of you." She said softly. "I miss you too baby but we gotta have you go back. You're  too young to end your life just yet."

     My mom is right. I gotta go back and live.

     "O-okay. I'll go back." I said softly.

      I turn back and feel everything go black. After a couple seconds I began to hear a male and a female voice. Liam and that girl Sienna who Liam called on the way here.

     "Is she gonna be okay?" Liam said.

    By the volume of his voice he seems to be at my bed side.

      "Luckily the bullet removal was good. It didn't shatter or anything. The bullet is out and she is going to be okay. You know he's gonna find out she's here right. He's gonna want to see her and she's gonna freak out. She's too fragile to go through this amount of shock and stress." She said.

     "Sienna I know baby. I didn't want him to know she was here because then he would one kick my *** and then two freak out and go all super bossy boss on us and try to control the procedure." Liam explained.

     "Let's let her make that decision. Wait for her to wake up." Sienna said.

    About  five minutes later I finally open my eyes and I see that Sienna is sitting with me and Liam was no where to be found.  Sienna sits up and she takes a light and checks my eyes before looking at the monitor and then my pulse. She's really pretty. The one thing I'm questioning is how Liam landed a girl like her. She's a medic, a gorgeous blonde and she clearly cares about others.

     "Can you tell me your name and the year?" Sienna asked.

     "Storie Rose Verona and 2019. Where's-"

      "Liam went to go talk to the boss. He's just finding out you're here. You were shot by a rival of our gang the panthers named Raphael of the serpants. Our boss is gonna want to speak with you concidering who he is.." Sienna explains.

Harkyn's POV

     "What do you mean she's here?! What the hell Liam!" I yell. "She doesnt know I'm even breathing right now. Why the hell dis you bring her here?"

     "Sorry Harkyn the only way I could save her from the serpants and the police finding out is bringing her here." Liam said. "Sienna took the bullet out of her stomach. Luckily nothing was damaged. I think she's just waking up but Sienna thought you'd want to know"

     Storie is here ,In the head quarters.  This sucks because I'm gonna have to talk to her and she's gonna see that I lied to her and faked my death. She doesn't know anything. Not about how I was forced to fake my death to protect her and my family or, how Liam has been giving me updates on her through all of the bullshit she's been through in the last couple years. What the hell am I gonna do.

     "Bring Sienna in here. You should be with her." I say.

    Liam nods and walks out. Sienna is gonna be the one giving me updates on her medical stuff. Sienna walks in after a couple minutes and looked at me with a cautious look. She sat down after I invite her to a seat. Before I could speak she opened her mouth.

     "Before anything is said I'm gonna say Storie deserved to live and Liam was right to bring her here. Raphael is after her. She deserves to have Liam and you both in her life. Just because you were a coward and abandoned her and used Liam as a messenger doesn't mean that I'm gonna defend you. You're my boss that's it." She says bluntly.

    Sienna wasn't wrong. Storie doesn't deserve any of this. It's not fair to her and it's not fair to anyone. I have explaining to do.
