HACHISHAKUSAMA

Welcome to my new journey “The Book of Darkness” where you will find all kind of Horror & Supernatural Stories from all over the world.

Hope you all are doing very well 😊

So without further delay let's get started~~

“Hachishakusama” is one of the popular blood-curdling urban legends of Japan. From 1990 to 2000, more than 10,000 children had gone missing in Japan. It is said that on an average 1000 children every year disappeared. Earlier when more and more children gone missing, people thought that maybe this is a case of child trafficking gang or it is the work of a child trafficker. Even thou many criminals got arrested then also there's no evidence of kidnapping. And the situation was getting worse and worse. Then everyone came to know the truth when many people saw “Her ” at that time they understood why all these activities are happening?

In Japan Hachishaku-sama means eight feet tall. So, The Eight Feet Tall is a tale of tall eerie-looking woman who only abducts children. It also informally called as Hasshaku-sama, a Japanese spirit (Yokai) that takes the form of an impossibly tall pale looking female ghost often said to make creepy sound like “PO…PO…PO…PO…PO…” repeatedly in the same strange manner. This strange and unusual sound that informs the people that eight feet is near or around them.

She was not an ordinary woman but an evil spirit who terrorize children. In fact she is considered to be such an urban legend who loves kids so much that wherever she sees children, she follow them and unfortunately if she likes that child then they will disappear from there place within few days or in worst cases within one or six hours. She had a habit of preying on children, usually one who are under six to nine years old.

The Eight foot tall can vary from a withered hag (akin to a beldam) or an attractive woman, yet it always appear as inhumane in terms of its height. While her appearance varies between accounts, most eyewitnesses have stated that she dressed in a white summer dress and wear a wide-brimmed hat, who is eight foot tall with completely white eyes. It seemed as if there were no eye balls inside her. And that blood-curdling sound she makes “PO…PO…PO…PO” everytime it comes near her prey.

This is also said that Hachishakusama only attacks children and does not bother with adult prey. This is said to be due to the fact children are still dependent on older family members, which she can mimic in order to lure her victims away and then kill them.

There's not much information on how she became a Hachishaku-sama. However, what is known is that she is a Yokai (Japanese evil spirit) who kidnaps children and takes them to her world forever. She is known for stalking her victims from afar while creating creepy sound like "Po… Po… Po… Po… Po…” and nothing could stand in the way of her prey. The spirit can transform into different family members to lure the child away from their family, ot only she could transform her appearance but also could drastically change her voice and mimic the most beloved ones of her prey. Her legend has been famous around since 2008. And her appearance is also similar to the Japanese urban legend, "The Ring" and "The Grudge”.

But What happened with the victims? Did she took all of them with her? Or Did they successfully escape from Her?

Wait for the next chapter to know more 😉

So here the 1st part of the story ends~~

HACHISHAKU-SAMA PART II

Welcome back my lovely readers in the second episode of “The Book of Darkness”...

As we get to know from the previous part of the urban legend that Hachishaku-sama kidnapped children and take them away with her. But then also some of her victims escaped from her evil grip and survived.

...So without further delay let's get started~~...

...There was a case of an unfortunate little girl who went missing after seeing an extremely tall inhuman like women. And after that incident the tale of Hachishaku-sama became more famous....

A similar incident also happened with a seven-year-old boy as well. One day the boy was playing in his backyard and he heard a strange noise coming from the side of the garden. So he stopped playing with his toys and tried to figure out from where it was coming. As he looked around, he saw a very tall women in a white dress, wearing a hat, staring at him with a creepy look. The most frightening part was that the fencing was 5 feet tall but then also her body was visible...

At that time the tale of “Eight Feet Tall Women” had already became famous among all the villagers. So when the kid ran inside and describe about what he just saw outside to his parents. They immediately rushed out and locked him into his room on the 2nd floor, next they told him not to go outside they will come back after few hours. Then both of them went out. The boy was in his room, with a confused mind, he couldn't understand what was happening with him? But after a long time passed he heard the door in front of him being opened. He saw that his parents were standing in front of him and an elderly man was also there. He came inside and looked around properly then said that the ritual must be conducted here and also instructed his parents to start packing their stuffs as soon as possible.

After that the old man started to stick Talisman on the windows, put white salt like a small mountain in the four corners of the room, next they cover every possible source of light that could enter inside with thick clothes. Then they turn off the lights and gave him a torch so that the lil boy doesn't get scared in the dark. It already past 12 o'clock while doing it. So they all walked out of the room but the old man warned the lil boy not to open the door or the window even if they ask him or someone he knows just stay inside till 7:30 am. And also told him to lock the door. Then they all went out of the room. And the he locked the door then sat down on his bed. After sometime he started to feel drowsy and fell asleep. The time must be between 2am to 3am when he heard a familiar voice. It sounds exactly like how Hachishaku-sama makes it.

His drowsiness was completely gone and suddenly there was a knock on the window. Someone called his name and asked him to open the window. He was too scared to move so he just sat there, waiting for the whole ritual to be over. While he was thinking what's going to happen next, he heard a voice from the outside where his parents were standing. It was his mom's voice asking him to come out that the ritual is over and he is safe now. Hearing that he was so happy, he lit the torch to open the door but before opening it his eyes fell on a small mountain of salt placed by the door that has turned completely black. He turned back and hit the light into other 3 corners and they also turned black. From outside his mom was continuously asking him to open the door but he didn't dare to move. The desperation in her sweet polite voice that he heard a moment ago gradually changed into creepy demonic voice.

And she said, “I know you're standing behind the door lil boy…but do you think this mere door can protect you…Huh!”. Then he heard a demonic laughter and scratching sound on the door. He was shaking due to fear but some how he managed and sit back on his bed again. He cover his ears with his hands and started to chanting God's name. In this way he again fell asleep after sometime. And when it finally past 7:30 am in the morning, his actual parents and the old man opened the door and rushed towards him. He said, "Now take him to another country and never let him come here, or else she will hunt him down and take him with her." Then they left the country.

...So here the 2nd and final part of the story ends~~...

...See you lovelies in the next episode, till then.....

...Bye-bye 😘 stay safe and healthy...

THE SPINE-CHILLING TALE OF THE MUHNOCHWA

Welcome back my lovely readers in the third episode of “The Book of Darkness”... Today I'll share a new supernatural horror story about an Indian spine-chilling urban legend of “Muhnochwa”…

As we know that every country has its own stories to frighten children and entertain adults. Likewise, India, a vast country rich in tradition and culture, also has scary stories to share that usually involve some sort of vile creature or spirit that keeps you up all night.

...Hope you all are doing very well🤗……...

...So without further delay let's get started~~...

Imagined in the dark night your face being scratched by an unknown force and the next thing you remember is waking up with no sights of that creature or force, similar kind of stories surfaced in 2002 and was mainly confined to the rural regions of Uttar Pradesh.

During 2002 electricity wasn’t available in rural areas especially during the night and it was common in the villages of Uttar Pradesh for people to sleep on the roof and according to eyewitnesses, they became easy targets for Muhnochwa. It is said that Muhnochwa only attacked in the night and preyed on individuals and avoided to attack groups. The creature was described as hawk-like, with metal claws that aimed at scratching victim faces, leaving them with pain. His attacks were fast, vicious and he disappeared right after attacking his victims, leaving no trace of his presence.

An incident that happened in a small village in India, the news of which then spread like wildfire across the country. This incident in 2002 left many people in Uttar Pradesh awake at night in fear. Many people stood outside their houses with long sticks and some of them even took swords to protect themselves and their family members from the unknown creature. These phenomena are still a mystery to scientists and other educated people. But the story related to it became very famous in Uttar Pradesh and all over India.

“The face-scratcher" popularly known as the "Muhnochwa" which was an Indian urban legend rumored to attack its victims at night, a hideous creature that causes a slow and painful death. It is also said to be very violent, the sharp-edged entity will scratch your face clean off, then leave you to die. For 1 year from 2002 to 2003, it attacked countless people and many of them died on the spot. But it doesn't attack people when they are in a group. It only strategically preys on people who are alone in the dark night. There was also something strange about the creature. Whenever it attacked its prey, it would make strange ticking noises like tick…tick…tick…and as its prey came closer to their death's door, it became quieter. At first Muhnochwa only used to attack mens, it's very easy to prey on men because they usually go out alone or travel alone. But gradually people become aware of its attacks and don't go out after 9pm, even if they have to go out at night, they took someone with them. So it started to attack small children and women at night.

Each day the fear of Muhnochwa grew and it took villages by storm when some people came as victims of Muhnochwa with scratches on their faces and hands. The situation became so worse that people started to beat whatever they saw in the shadows from relatives to stray animals. Some people said water to be a weakness of Muhnochwa and people kept bottles of water with them during the night. Even the police were helpless as there was no evidence for the existence of it, but they knew something was not right. Despite rapid checking and enquiring villagers about Muhnochwa, police couldn’t come to any solution.

The fear of Muhnochwa terrorised the villages to that extent that the temples prist adviced to move away from Kanpur, while some villagers stayed up all night around bonfires with guns, sticks and water cannons. No one knows exactly how Muhnochwa looked like or what it was. Where it came from or why it started to attack village people no one knows.

Some people said it looked like a giant insect whereas others called it to be an unidentified creature with soulless eyes. People said that it gave electric shocks before it lunged and scratched people’s face. A lot of things were said about Muhnochwa of some calling it a genetically engineered insect while some called it extraterrestrial creature. Whoever tried to chase it was unsuccessful. All of a sudden people stopped reporting about it and reporting of Muhnochwa it’s phenomenon died right after it.

So what exactly happened with the villagers? Does Muhnochwa really exited at that time?

...Wait for the next chapter to know more 😉...
