CHAPTER 1

There was a young lady living in an old mansion built in the middle of the forest, having a long shiny black straight hair, having a slender body and pale skin, a very beautiful with an innocent face, she is Rina.

The mansion has some dilapidated walls, due to its old age, green molds and large roots covered the wall, and there are several tiny holes in other parts of the roof, but the inside is still nice and beautiful, only the outside can be seen so many cracks and large roots covered the wall. Rina is sixteen years old now.

When Rina was only eight years old, when her father died due to a serious illness for which there was no cure. When she was a baby, her mother left her, so only her father was with her and raised her while he was still alive.

So now, Rina is the only one living in the old mansion, and visiting her father’s grave, every year. Now, she was only concerned with flowering plants and vegetables in her yard. She sells them, so that she has some daily expenses. The birds are chirping while following her.

“Hmm mmm hmm mmm ..” Rina hummed

while looking at the clouds, and smiling. After her work in her yard, in the afternoon, she entered her mansion, just before dusk.

“I wish.. I wish..” she sang.

Birds chirping in reply.

“I wish that there’s  a prince..” she sang again.

Birds chirping in reply again.

“A prince will come and save me, from my loneliness..” she sang.

Birds chirping in front of her. And she hummed again. Before she went to her lonely home.

One morning, Rina woke up early, to prepare her breakfast, and then to go to her crop, to pick some vegetables and flowers, so that she can sell it to the market.

“Hmm mmm hmm mmm” she hummed. The birds are following her and chirping.

“Is it enough? My basket is full …” Rina said to herself

then gently smiling, as she left. Rina is a very beautiful young lady, and she is humming as she walks down the wooded path.

“Hmm mmm hmm mmm” she hummed happily while walking.

Soon she heard footsteps. She flinched and quickly hid in one of the big roots behind it.

“What is that?” whispered to itself while nervous.

She peeked and looked around to see if there was a beast.

“M-maybe there’s a b-beast that got lost .. I need protection.. ah wood!” whispered her mind

and picked up a branch, while she’s sweaty and nervous. Although Rina is got used to hearing footsteps, she often sees small animals.

“I-I c-can’t .. see ..” said her mind,

as It slowly peeked around then hide. Meanwhile there is a handsome young man carrying a bow and arrow, and he’s on a hunt.

“Hmm mmm hmm mmm” he hummed.

“I wish ..” he added.

He was targeting something straight to a deer, but it was very far from his place. The arrow is already positioned for the first strike,

“I’ll catch you.” He whispered to himself. Missed!

“Tsk .. hmm .. I’ll approach you a little. But I’ll change places now, let’s see. Even if you hide, I’ll catch you.” He added.

Rina noticed strange footsteps; she first left the basket she was carrying where she hid it. Rina carries the broken branch for her protection in case she encounters a beast. She went to where the footsteps were approaching at her place.

The shrubs are also high so … the broken branch that she used to strike is ready. On the other hand, the handsome young man was unaware that a young lady would approach in his direction.

The rod was raised and just struck, when the shrubs were suddenly torn apart, the young man appeared with a bow and arrow.

They were both shocked! Then, the young man grabbed the broken branch held by the young lady who was not released from the grip. They both blushed and badump.

“He’s very handsome .. and .. carrying .. a weapon?" Innocent Rina said in her mind.

“S-she’s very b-beautiful. Who is she? And where does she live? And .. w-why is she traveling alone in the thick forest?” he said to himself.

And the young man cut off their stare portion, he raised his bow for the deer target. And bulls eye! Then Rina backed away and couldn’t speak. She got tripped.

Then the young man caught her, he holds her small waist and wrapped her on his one arm. And their faces came closer, feeling each other’s breath.

“I got you…” he smirks,

and the young man helps the young lady. Blush and badump around them. Rina pushed her gently and adjusted herself,

“G-good .. morning Sire.” Rina said shyly to the young man.

“Good morning too, beautiful ..” the young man held Rina’s left hand,

“lady.” And he kissed it.

“May I know why you are here, wandering alone? And where are you going? And if you wish, I can accompany you so that you won’t ….”

The young man was interrupted she began to speak.

“Sire, thank you so much. I lived here in this forest. And .. I’m going to the market.” Rina said calmly to the young man.

“Sire, my hand.” She said. And he released from holding her hand.

“Where do you live? Why were you here?” they said at the same time. And he spoke first.

“Ah. This is where you lived.” Said the young man calmly,

and he looked at his caught deer not so far away.

“I wish..” he sang.

“I wish..” she replied.

“My Romeo“ she sang.

“My Juliet“ he replied.

“I wish, let me know you, more.” The sang together.

The young man said goodbye to the young lady and the lady nodded him as goodbye before he left and carried his caught deer on his shoulder after he had picked it up and placed it on his carriage. Meanwhile, Rina continued walking, she blushed thinking to that young man, after she took the basket from the hiding place at the big root then she went to the market. And the young man never stopped thinking about the young lady he met in the forest, and he went to his home.

“We’ll meet again.” He whispered.

Days passed, the weather was still beautiful in the forest, the young man always visited the forest because he’s following the young lady.

“I want to know.. you.” He sang.

“I want to know, you.” She sang in reply.

“I want to know more about you.”

They sang together.

Then they’ll keep on talking and laughing, while walking out of the forest. The young man accompanies the young lady, until they arrive at her mansion. And first time the young man saw that place as well as the old mansion.

“You live here?” he asked Rina

that the young man was weirded out of the place.

“Yes, Sire. Come.” Said Rina

who first entered the yard to the mansion.

“I didn’t think there was a mansion here, in the middle of the forest.”

The young man said to Rina in amazement.

“Did you just live here? Alone? I mean …” he asked Rina.

“Yes, Sire. I live alone.” Rina said calmly.

Upon reaching the door of the mansion, Rina let the young man inside.

“Come, Sire. And I’ll make you some tea. Sit down first, Sire.”

Rina said calmly and went to the kitchen.

The basket was set down and she prepared for their tea. The young man was amazed again, because he didn’t think the mansion was beautiful and elegant when he was inside.

He sat down at the old but elegant sofa. Rina came from the kitchen with the tea and handed it to the young man.

“Thank you.” Said the young man.

She nodded.

“By the way .. um, it’s .. cause, how many times .. I want to ask you. But it’s always been interrupted. What .. about .. what’s your name? May I know?”

he asked the lady,

while scratching his head with a blushy cheek, and still hesitating.

“Rina, is my name, Sire.” Rina said calmly,

and sat elegantly in front of the young man, with only a small living room table between them.

“I’m Zander James. You can call me, Zander.” Said the young man

Reaching out to shake hands with the lady after he sipped the tea and placed it on the living room table. But he’s shy. They talked and ate lunch as well.

The young man helps the young lady examine the flowers and vegetables, until before dusk and water the plants. Zander gazed at the young lady’s gentle face, she noticed it,

“Sire, is there any dirt on my face?” Rina asked calmly.

“Nothing ..”

the young man blushed and turned his gaze to the flowers because of awkwardness.

“Ah, by the way Rina, can I stay here .. just .. tonight, if it’s okay?” He asked.

“Don’t worry! I’ll just stay .. on the .. next room. Hehe.” He added.

Zander was very shy he scratchy on the back of his head as if he’s embarrassed Rina.

“Sure, Sire.” Rina replied while smiling.

“Just call me Zander. I’m embarrassed with Sire.” Blushed at his answer.

“Yes … Zander.” Rina also blushed.

“Um, anyways” she said.

“Mm” he replied.

“I’ll prepare for your room.” She said.

“Okay, thanks.” He replied.

He’s curious on the house, he’s just rooving around and looking those old pictures and paints on the walls, while waiting for Rina.

The interior design was so old yet it was still beautiful from a little too large figures.

They became close for a few days with Zander accompanying Rina. Now, first time and first night, Zander stayed at Rina’s mansion, in a separate bedroom. And Zander only has Rina on his mind, since they first met in the forest till now. Rina think of Zander too.

That goddess – beauty of Rina, and her fragrant smell especially of Rina’s long hair, small waist, gentle face, pale and smooth complexion, all this was in the young man’s mind. How to win Rina’s heart. They’re sleeping next to each other’s room. They can’t sleep. Until (knock, knock)

“Rina? Are you still awake?” Zander asked when he went to Rina’s room.

Rina opened him and talked to him.

“What can I serve, Sire .. Zander?” she answered calmly.

“Can I chat with you? It’s okay if not. Hehe.” Zander replied.

Rina nodded.

“What is it, Zander?” She asked while smiling.

“I was going to take you to my house, Rina. If it’s okay with you.”

Blushed its sequel response.

“I’m going to introduce you to my family.” He added.

“Sure, Zander.” Rina replied smiling.

“Thank you, Rina! For granting my request!”

Zander replied happily and blushed in response.

“Okay, Zander.” She said.

“Um, okay .. let’s sleep then.” He said.

“ .. to our rooms.” He added.

“Goodnight, Zander.” She said.

“Goodnight too, Rina.” He replied.

Then they were blushing and Rina covered her red face with a blanket while Zander covered his red face with a pillow. Then they both fell asleep in loved.

And the next day, early in the morning, Rina prepared herself to leave her mansion, and she wouldn’t sell anything first. She accompanied Zander to his residence.

When they arrived, he rang the doorbell. The door opened and welcome them. Zander introduced Rina to his parents and grandparents.

“Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa, I have someone with me right now.” He said.

“Her name is Rina.” He added.

“Good day, Ma’am and Sire.” She said while she vowed in respect.

And they accepted Rina so much. A few years later, Rina is nineteen years old, and Zander is twenty one. It’s time for the two of them to get married.

They got married. They love each other very much and they always live peacefully. Not until the trial came to them.

Coming from another country, rode on his car, he hurriedly went to his hometown immediately, because he heard that his twin brother was married. It is Zander’s identical twin brother, named Zandro. Not seen on his face but he’s the opposite of Zander.

“AAAAAAAHHH!” he yelled fiercely.

If purity is one’s heart, then it’s the opposite of other one. Zandro was very insecure and mad when he found out the news.

“Hmp! I won’t allow anyone to grab my brother’s attention! And who … the hell .. dared to stole my brother away from me!? Hmp. She’ll see. I’ll never forgive her!”

He said while groaning and looking fiercely in his eyes and gripping his left hand and grinning madly.

“AAAAAAAHHHH! This Fvcking *****!” He said very angrily.

The driver saw that his boss was not in the mood. But he still talked to him,

“Young Master, are you okay?”

“Hmp!”

Zandro was still shivering, and disgusted.

“Young Master,”

the driver changed the atmosphere of the two of them, diverting his attention to a nearby fast-food.

“Oh! There’s .. fast-food nearby, maybe we can go there. Hehe.”

The driver said calmly.

“All right.” Zandro sighed,

but his anger doesn’t seemed to be melted that much. And they ordered snacks for their long trip. Then drive again until they reach the land of their home. But the driver noticed how angry he was. Then they reached his home, and he went to his room and he locked it.

“AAAAAAAAHHHH!” he yelled again.

“Don’t disturb me! I’m going to sleep!” he added.

Meanwhile, Zander and Rina, on the other hand, take on their first night from a week-long honeymoon elsewhere and then they return to Rina’s old mansion. They love each other so much that nothing seems to be able to separate with their love or ruin it.

Night came, cuddling each other in their room. Spending their lovey dovey all night. Back to Zandro’s.

The next morning, Zandro at his home, he was still in a bad mood. When his parents came, he surprised them and his grandparents on their way home.

Who were going to approach him outside of their house. When they arrived, Zandro quickly got out of his room so that they could all greet and hugged each other.

“Oh! You’re already home!” His Mom said.

“When did you came?” his Dad asked.

“Um .. yesterday.” He pouted.

And then they chatted each other. They are all happy, but Zandro .. is not. He was curious about who that woman is, and he even investigated her.

Two months have passed, and Rina is already pregnant. It was late morning. Zander talks to the baby in Rina’s womb.

“Baby, your Mommy and I are here. We love you. I also love … your mommy, baby.”

Zander said holding one hand on Rina’s belly and standing behind Rina then he hugged her.

“I’m hungry, Honey.” She said.

“Haha, okay let’s eat some snacks.” He replied.

“Mm.” she smiled.

Zander always helps Rina and takes care of her.

“I’ll prepare for our lunch, Honey.” She said.

“Okay, Honey. I’ll be right there, to chopped some woods.” He said.

Then they ate their lunch. After that he went to his work again to chopped those woods again. Rina went to the backyard and peeked at him. And she went back inside to fold those curtains, tops and bottoms wear.

The afternoon came, Rina asked him to go out for a while to water the plants. Zander watched her from a distance as he chopped woods for their fireplace and kitchen. Zander was distracted when his wife suddenly disappeared from his sight.

He was wondering what had happened, so he went and called Rina. He was nervous about what happened, when he went to where Rina was, Rina suddenly appeared. Standing there. He slowly touched Rina’s shoulder,

“Rina …” with a calm voice.

Rina turned to him,

then hugged him as if nothing had happened. And Zander hugged her too. Then the dusk came, they went inside to prepare for the evening. Night came, they were at the dining table while eating, he wondered as if there’s something strange.

“Rina, are you okay? Did something happen?” Zander was worried.

But she only smiles at him and continue eating. He can’t help it and let them finish their dinner. After dinner, and washed themselves.

“Are you okay, Honey?” he asked again.

“Yea, Honey. I’m just .. tired.” She replied.

“Okay.” He hugged and kissed her.

“Let’s rest to our room.” He added.

“Mm” she replied.

The lights are off, they have also finished cleaning their bodies, and are ready to go to sleep. Zander was still worried about Rina. He hugged her and kissed Rina’s forehead. But she doesn’t speak and it worried him.

“Honey?” he asked.

He looked at the ceiling. But she doesn’t replied. She looked at him lying on his muscled arm and just listen.

“Have you ever ..” he said though it was stopped cause he looked at her.

“ .. think about what should we name to our first baby?” he added.

He leaned on her face. And smiled. She smiled in replied too.

“If the baby is to be a girl, maybe we should name her Merina.” He said .

Rina nodded and just smiled.

“But if the baby is to be a boy, what do you think to name him?” he asked.

Rina just looked at his eyes. She yawned. He kissed her forehead. Hugged her and

“Zeddy. That will be his name.” he said.

He kissed her forehead again, down to her cheek, to her nose and to her lips. Rina moaned after that french kiss. She pushed him and pulled him back to kiss her again.

They both smiled.

The night is long and their love covers all night. It was so dark, after the lights off. The whole house is so silent. You can hear the dripping of the water in the faucet of the kitchen.

The morning came, and he woke up without Rina besides him. He went to the bathroom and washed himself. Then he go out of their room. He looked for her. Rina was in the kitchen, after preparing for a breakfast, she’s about to go to their bedroom and Zander came.

“Good morning, Honey.” He said while smiling brightly.

“Good morning.” She replied and smiled back and kissed him.

“What’s .. with our breakfast, today?” he asked.

“It’s just .. the same as usual, Honey.” She replied.

He hugged and cuddled her.

“Anyways, are you selling some of your plants, today? He asked.

“I’m coming with you!” he added.

She just smiled and nodded. And they both eat their breakfast. She’s looking deeply to her beloved husband.

The afternoon came, and their plants that they brought were sold, and it was about to go home. He saw a white flower, its figure was like a mixed of yellow bell and lily. Its fragrance was better than sampaguita. He picked it and put it on her left side of her ear.

“You’re beautiful.” He said.

“Thank you.” She replied.

“Let’s go.” He said.

He grabbed her hand and they walked with holding hands. And they came home. He touched Rina’s belly and they both smiled. It was almost third month of her pregnancy.

The night came, and same routine, they’re cuddling each other and kissed each other. The night was long. He slept early and she sang her a song.

“Sleep, my beloved, husband.

Sleep my, prince.

Sleep my, Romeo.

May you feel the silence of the night in your sleep.

The night is long,

You are here by my side.

I love you, and our love will always be our guide.”

The she kissed his forehead as if it was her final kiss. She really loved him with all her heart, soul and mind. And she even loved their soon-to-be child. She always hoped for a perfect family that no one can ever destroyed it.

Then she began to sleep besides him.
