In this world, there's the weak and there's the strong. That's how it's always been since the very beginning, the strong rule the weak. My name is Louis mills, I'm a highschool student. And in this world I am among the weak.

All my life I've lived under the oppression of the strong and in ways more than one. I've been physically, emotionally and financially oppressed by those stronger than me. Even to the point that I'm disgusted at my own species. People beat you up just because your face annoys them, your heart gets toyed with to the point where you aren't even capable of falling in love, because you fear they might stab you in the back, the rich get richer while the poor are getting poorer everyday, I'm sick of it all. I just want to die, but I don't have the guts to kill myself so I just suck it up and live. It's not my fault I was born weak, I bet if I had a chance I could become stronger. I know I was born weak but I don't want to die weak. everyday I prayed that someone would give me a chance, and one day my prayers were finally answered. I was finally given a chance to grow stronger

After I heard those words I was transported a mysterious place

“ well that shouldn't be too hard, it's kinda like a quest, like surviving on a deserted island, I don't mean to brag but I'm fairly confident in my survival skills ”

“ wait a sec... Six hours. The time back home is currently 10:46 so six hours from now is 4:46 ”

While I was busy thinking i heard the sound a twig breaking and as I turned backwards I saw a monster which looked human but had grey skin, a bald head, and big eyes and long fingers and toes. it was so thin that it couldn't walk but even still it dragged itself on the ground with every bit of strength it could muster.

“ what the hell” I said running at full speed “ what was that. Good thing it's not chasing me ” I said.

after running a for a while I noticed I had stepped on something as I turned to check I found another monster.

It was also crawling on the ground but it was nothing like the last one. It could only be described as a freak of nature. It looked like a dog with six legs but even so it still crawled with it's belly touching the ground almost like it didn't have the strength to lift itself up. It had no eyes and it's mount extended all the way from it's face to it's back.

“ tch. What the hell are these things ” I said while running

“ NOTICE. THEY ARE THE CHILDREN OF ECHIDNA AND TYPHON ”

“ well that doesn't help. If this keeps up, how am I supposed to survive. System how much time do I have left till this is all over ”

“ YOU HAVE EXACTLY 5 HOURS 49 MINUTES AND 6 SECONDS LEFT ”

“ damn. That long ”

And as I looked up at a distance I saw it. Two creatures beyond my comprehension. Creatures truly worthy of the title ‘monster’

One was a giant snake with 5 heads and the other was some sort of dog with three heads, and these creatures were fighting themselves.

“ you're kidding me. I'm supposed to survive for six hours in this place with those things. It's no use. I can't win ” I said

# screech # was the next sound I heard it came from up the trees. But I couldn't find it, there were hundreds if not thousands of trees in this place. But then it jumped down landing on a log.

In a way it looked like a chicken. It had only hind legs and no hands, but it also had no wings and the head looked like some sort of lizard.

Then it slowly walked towards me maybe it was scared because I was bigger, but when I started running in fear it chased after me for a while but seeing how it's body was deformed it couldn't run for long.

“ how long is this going to continue, I can't take it anymore. System ”

“ YES, USER LOUIS MILLS ”

“ I surrender. I give up, just take me back home ”

“ I AM AFRAID I CANNOT DO THAT "

“ huh, why can't you... ”

“ I know, I'll just keep running while avoiding them, that way I should be able to survive until the time limit ”

Or at least that was what I thought. every second here was unbearable. In this place there is an unwritten law, and I was ignoring that law. It wasn't something new, the same law applied on back home. It was an inescapable law that bound all living things. It was the law of nature. For all living creatures to survive they must either kill or be killed. I quickly understood what I had to do.

“ huh, huh, huh, huh, huh... How much longer ”

“ EXACTLY 5 HOURS 12 MINUTES AND 12 SECONDS ”

I felt claws dig into my shoulder and weird hands trying to hold me in place, it was another monster and it was trying to eat me alive

“ ahhh, damn you. Let go you damn monster ”

After I finally managed to break free I turned back and saw what was probably the most disgusting monster of them all. It was literally falling apart, this one could stand upright like a human but it was also deformed. It had long hands which reached its knees,with two fingers and one thumb, it was so thin that you could see it bones, even walking was a problem for it, it had some big lump of flesh on its back, with bones sticking out of it, While it's mouth was sealed shut by the flesh holding it jaws together.

As I looked at my shoulder I saw blood. I was bleeding

“ how could I have been so stupid. I was finally given a chance and I was just gonna run and hide. Well not anymore ” I said with a twisted smileon my face. picking up a stick from the ground

“ come at me, you piece of shit. I'll freaking murder you ” I said as I attacked the monster with the stick. With a vertical hit to it's head followed by a stick to it's knees. I had successful broken it's legs. As it fell to the ground I could visibly see it was in pain. And without hesitation I stabbed it's chest. Before smashing it's head to pieces.

“ damn monster. I almost feel bad for em. System how much time is left ”

“ good. I'm not running away, no any more ” I said as I pulled the bone out of the legs of the monster.

“ this is so gross. But if it helps me fight more efficiently I've got no complaints ” I said as I broke the edge of the bone creating a sharp tip

That night I killed so many monsters I lost count. Each time I killed them I'd cut their limbs off, tear their flesh and use their bones as wepons. I killed so many of them, that they began to run after sensing my presence. They had acknowledged me as a superior species

After hearing those words I saw myself in my room with covered in blood with my clothes in pieces.

“ good thing I live alone. If anyone saw me like this, there would have been a bit of a misunderstanding ” I said entering the bathroom

As the cold water from the shower hit my body it was then I noticed I had sustained a lot of injuries.

“ Better get some sleep ”

Yesterday day was a major pain. But for some reason, I don't mind. I know, I might die but still I want to continue fighting. After all, If I survive I'll become stronger.

But enough about that. At night I may be a monster hunter, but by day I'm still your average highschool student.

“ USER LOUIS MILLS... ”

“ ugh... Can you just call me Louis ”

“ VERY WELL. LOUIS ”

“ it's Friday, so I can fight to my heart's content this weekend ”

On that Friday morning I continued my daily routine like nothing had happened. Did some minor chores, took a bath and made breakfast. I was hurt pretty bad but I managed to patch myself up with the first aid kit I had. And for some reason even after I ate breakfast I was still hungry... Oh well, I'll grab something on the way to school.

“ LOUIS ”

“ not now... ”

“ LOUIS ”

“ I'm trying to think here ”

“ uhh... ” I said

As I raised my head, looking forward I saw a car. It was already too close for comfort, touching my knees in fact. At that moment as if I had done it before. By pure reflex, I quickly put out my hands on the car's bummer, and lifted my body up, like I was jumping with my hands. In that split second I was airborne long enough for the car to pass, before landing on my feet.

As I turned around I saw people clapping.

“ what the hell. I almost died and they're clapping ”

Meanwhile unknowingly to me one of my classmates had watched the whole drama play out.

“ dude that was awesome, you rock” I could hear the crowd saying.

At school I'm pretty much what you'd call a loser, but being a loser can have it's perks like: not being bothered during school hours.

“ If the world was a game I'd definitely an npc ” I thought to myself while resting my head on my desk.

“ hey ” I heard someone say while hitting my desk

“ tch... ” she replied before walking away

Couldn't i get some quality me time. I mean was that still too much to ask for. Anyway I'm more excited about the whole system thing

“ system ” I said out loud. Only to find the entire class staring at me

It's pretty weird for a potential god candidate to have to go to school but oh well, what do I know. I'm just psyched about the dungeons

I had to wait for school almost the whole day since I can't go dungeon raiding from school. If I do, I get transported back to my point of origin. So like the good little boy I was, I waited patiently for school to end for the day and headed home.

Being teleported still feels weird. I don't think it's something I'll ever get used to. usually in games you stand in a magic circle and start glowing or you chant a spell. But here I'm just literally disappearing and appearing in the dungeon. One second I'm on earth with my feet on the ground and the next I'm in some grass abyss. Talk about a lack of taste.

As it said those words. My reality was shattered and in an instant the way I viewed the world changed. It was almost like a game. I saw the world in sort of a digital way. Like I had a the blueprints of my surroundings in my head.

At the time i felt like it was hopeless but unknowingly to me, ever since yesterday, i had slowly been absorbing the mana around me and at the moment my body was completely enveloped in it. And by simply trying to use magic I was releasing the mana.

as I said those words I saw sparks grow into a flame of negligible size appear. Just hovering over my hands
