He sat in his office.. staring at the window..  the dim lights shimmering on his eyes.. someone would open the door his focus quickly went on them. "Sir you received a personal note.. perhaps it's from ur family.."  He just simply blinked at them then stayed silent.. as the assistant layed it over on the table before they shut the door close..  "I guess I'll read it.."He tore the note open.. he'd let out a cold sigh before he started. "Dear Carmen crankur we offer u an excellent offer.. that gratitude you'll accept." He chuckled a bit as he read it. "We'll pay you 100k dollars it could reach even higher!" his eyes stretched wide open raising a brow.. "Depends on how risky the mission is.." things started got darker as he read more.. "We do not work with the government but either we have bad intentions to them. Ill say our purpose first off." He looked away then back to it.. "Our purpose is to contain those who harm humanity and including everything on this planet that does no harm. We are here to fight off those who invade. but there are some cases we're we have to kill" "But we do anything  at cost to protect our world." He beared his teeth backing up as he went on each word sickened him. But as he read back to the money part there was this some sense. Convincing him As he finished reading top to end.. he thought deep but his final answer was right there. "I need to accept it anything to get away from them." "them" referrred to his family. "I'll just have to write back.." He read the instructions how to send it. As night fall arrived he'd wait by the window. As it was step one. All of a sudden he heard a little chirp.. from the breeze a dove landed right infront of him. "Oh.." He tied the note to it twirling the string around it. "Safe trip bud." It flew away into the night sky. He peeked his eyes open. as day was here once again. He'd look to his side seeing his wife wasn't there. "Must be outside." He'd walk out peeking over by the sides of the corner spotting his family. "Goodmorning carmen.." His wife spoke as the other two known as his children stayed shut. He walked past them not saying a word. His wife rolled her eyes quite used to it. "I'm leaving for a business trip." Carmen said. "What?! your a detective there's nothing such as business trips for you!." His wife stood tall yelling out loud. "Amber.. honey" carmen spoke softly. "Don't u call me that all of a sudden!. You ignore me everyday and ur kids everyday to just say ur leaving for a business trip?!." Carmen's eyes widen hearing those words coming out of his wife's mouth. "I'm sorry.. I don't know how to handle this. It's hard to explain but my current case has something to do in another country." He sighed deeply. "How long will this take? hm!." "Carmen mother!." His son stood up. "Your scaring Adelaide." His eyes sharpened. "You do not call me carmen! I am your fath-." "He dosent need to call you father! all you do is run away come home run away!." His wife interrupted him. "Listen.. calm down pls. Amber give me the chance to speak!." Carmen said in frustration. "I will never I want a divorce!." She huffed. "For God's sake! this family is nothing." He yelled crunching his forehead as he walked off. "You do not just run away like that!." His wife's yell echoed through the halls. He'd slammed the door shut. grunting out loud. "Stupid.." He started packing up. He threw one of his shirts out of anger as he folded the clothes. "These morons!." He stuffed his stuff in the bag. As time passed he walked out not saying a word leaving the house as they glared at him with anger except his daughter. Staring at him with pure eyes with tears rolling down. "Papa..!" She ran towards him as carmen quickly blocked her hug pushing him away. "That is ur daughter! carmen." His wife hugged Adelaide. He just stared back at them with hollow eyes as he left. He walked down the poarch deciding not to take his car and take a taxi. He'd check back on the note that was sent back to him. "The Saint Ives school?." He raised his hand waving for the taxi as its wheels screeched as it stopped."Where ya heading?." The driver raised a brow. "To Saint Ives school the park infront."  "Come on in!." He got in the car as it drove away. He arrived in his destination getting out of the car searching for something?. Till he spot a dark figure. He seemed to be a ordinary man just dressed in a suit and a tacky fedora on top of his head. And a long dark coat. He approached slowly sitting down on the bench with them. The odd sketchy man took his hand all of a sudden dragging him towards a car. He threw him straight into the car. as the strange man sat right beside him in the driver's seat."Who are you?." The man just looked at him with a blank face. "Agent Feather you shall know me for now. I'll be the one to well.. Guide you." His voice was deep and mysterious it seemed to echo but it didn't. "From the SSS Agency?." Carmen asked. "Yes indeed Society security secrets." The man did not hesitate to say the humiliate him. "Okay" Carmen broke eye contact looking out the window. A few minutes passed Carmen spoke once again. "So are we going to the site?." The man nodded a bit pissed off. Carmen jumped a bit as the car stopped all of a sudden and men surrounded it. "Amazon delivery?." a gaurd asked. "Yes" "You may pass." the man opened the oddly secure gate. "What Amazon delivery?." Carmen said a bit suprised. "Oh uh.. it's just a code for us spies to avoid new enemies invading." "There's not much enemies right now so feel safe." The man said as he stopped the car. "Come on." Carmen simply nodded jumping right out of the car. The man would walk elegantly  sweeping right pass the people? or actors. Carmen catched up slowly struggling to have the same walking style and catch up.They walked into the elevator as the man flipped a weird plate and pressed a button with the number 777 on it. "Always press 777 just a reminder." Minutes passed after all the paths and ways and elevators and traps and everything they arrived. "Alright now behave. pity boy." The two doors open the door wide. As soon as carmen stepped foot inside his felt a strange feeling. "Greetings carmen crankur..! I've been expecting you." Emphirous Ozark said with a chuckle. Oh yea! also Mr narrator speaking here. This man right here is the emphirous or emperor you could say. Or leader you know ceo type of this agency. Oh let's just get to the point yes he's human he may seem like he isn't for his eyes and wings and stranger colored hair. I'll explain that later but let's get back to the story. "This is emphirous Ozark. Emphir Oz or just plainly emphir for short." the strange man spoke. "Well carmen take seat you too Sefal." Sefal happend to be the name of the strange man carmen noticed as he's the observant type. He also noticed the ancient symbols on the emphir guys cloak. The man so called emphir stood up  "Wellcome to the SSS Agency. Carmen crankur." The man said stone cold. "We'll had've you read the terms?." Suddenly his glare went deep. "Yes.." He renemebered every inch of that letter. "Anyways your training will start by..     Today, with mr sefal right beside you." "Ah.. Yes ive observed i already know his name." "Observang one huh?." The odd man chuckled softly       But all could sefal give is a face filled with envy. "Now im gonna warn you before you settle in.    Did u read the terms and policy?."    The mans tone caught a serious tension. "Yes" Carmen said shakinly. "Good now thats all for now may you attend your tour around."     "But renember they dont really like outsiders." "Outsiders?"      "People that we'rent raised with us. Ever since we were young we we're trained and hidden from the world. So please understand its been centuries since a outsider came in." Sefal explained "Since the incident." The odd man finished as he gazed off. "You shouldnt know yet. Lets take this smooth." "Well goodbye emphir ozark." Sefal said as carmen repeated after.        The odd man just glared into carmens eyes as they left the room. "Alright ill lead the way." Sefal walked about ten steps faster. Leaving carmen to catch up. They'd enter the lift AKA elavator. "Alright now just focus dont get overwhelmed." Sefal said not meeting his eyes. "Why so?." The door creeked open. Eyes set quickly on carmen. Carmen felt the strange tension as he walked through the halls walking faster so it'd end faster. Eyes all laid on carmen give him shivers down his spine. He'd hear faint whispers of. "They dont belong here." "Outsider"  "They'll never be like us."  They reached the corner as carmen peeked over relieved to see that theres no more people ahead their way. "Your about to meet your team now then ill show your office your room is also inside your office. Just behind the other door." Carmen nodded slightly as the doors opened wide. "Goodmorning Sir sefal." They dipped their head in respect but the leader stood still and tall. "Derick? forgetting something." Sefal spoke with a tough tone. "Mhm" He'd bow quickly. "This is your new teamate introduce yourselves."      He pointed to the young girl. "Your first hurry."  She nodded. "Im  iris im the pisqwueak so feel free to bully the hell outta me." Carmen raised a brow as they all bursted out laughing. "Silence! Who on earth made her say this." Sefal stepped foward. They all went silent lowering their heads. Except derick their leader. "Mr derick sir." The young girl said faintly. "Dosent mean your the leader dosent mean you have the right to do that. Mr derick." Sefal stood tall taking his place. "So i was right he is the boss here?. Seems like a jerk is gonna be my boss great." Carmen thought to himself. "Anyways next."    "Well im clark and well? im the pilot or driver you could say here." He'd just let out a sense of laughter. "And im derick i suppose so. And renemebr to know your place you seem to be the arrogant type thinking you could match us."

The man right at his side bumped dericks shoulder. "Anyways I'm rhytmn and nothing much." "I'm jasper and I guess? I'm the medic." "I guess?." Sefal chuckled. "Sorry I am." Jasper said after. " "And I'm Alissia!." She said with bright energy. "And im Kian  your local friendly bud!." "Anyways carmen you can meet the rest on the way since their out right now." He nodded as they walked out. It was only awkwardness and silence between them as they walked through the halls. 

"I told u they don't like outsiders. Even if they act nice it's only a lie."

Sefal broke the silence. He'd look up to him.

"Espicially, the derick guy."

Carmen stuffed his hands into his pockets.

"Yeah he's the Cranky type. You'll have to prove yourself to him just to gain respect."

"Tricky Cranky, type." Carmen said with a sigh. "Mhm.." The alarms were set off all of a sudden.

"Go to you're office now!."  Carmen jumped.

"Lock the doors alright!. Go!" Carmen ran quickly.

His feet stopped running as he stood there in confusion. As a person stood there with hawk-like wings stretched out. (To be conteniued.)
