The morning was lovely, with a gentle breeze wafting through the room of Lusi. She was an ordinary girl, like others, who liked to spend most of her time reading Manga and Novels on her computer. Lusi didn't show much emotion; people often called her heartless, as she didn't even shed tears on her father's death. She had neither friends nor a boyfriend. Just like most other days, today she was spending her time on her computer with the cold breeze blowing through her dark black hair, when her mother entered...
"Lu? Again, you are on your stupid computer? You are about to graduate from college and still not looking for a job...SIGHHHH~ You don't even have a friend, don't you think it's time to go outside and make some friends?"
Lusi stared at her mom incredulously, but couldn't help but laugh in response to her mother's exasperation. "Mom," she started, unable to suppress a smile, "do you want your daughter to go out and make friends, only for her to end up shedding her precious tears for them? Of course not! So don't worry about these things - I'm happy alone with my 'stupid computer'."
After hearing her daughter's words, she was speechless. Lusi had experienced betrayal and hurt from past friendships, leaving her feeling unable to trust anyone in her life. Her father's death had also made her more reclusive, and she preferred to stay at home and read novels and manga instead of making new friends. Despite her mother's worry, Lusi seemed content to remain in her own little world.
Lusi was always mature beyond her years, and she never did anything to make her mother sad. She excelled at school and was well-loved by her teachers, but underneath it all, Lusi had her own struggles that she kept hidden from everyone - even her mother. Perhaps she was scared of showing her vulnerability to the world.
Lusi was always looking for someone she could trust without fear, but she had never encountered anyone like that in the real world. Escaping into the world of books and fantasy was her way of finding solace. She longed to be part of a story where she could find an understanding prince who would make her feel safe and protected. However, her daydreaming began to take its toll as she became too reliant on fantasy. The real world is unpredictable, and the future uncertain, making it ever more difficult for Lusi to move on from her imaginary world and start afresh.
As her mother left the room after nagging her, Lusi fell asleep like she usually did. But this time, something strange happened - she suddenly found herself waking up in the world of a unknown book. That she never tried reading. Suddenly, her wildest dreams was about to come true - she was going to be able to time-travel into a book.. With her newfound ability, she could live out her fantasies and explore new places without ever leaving the comfort of her own home. Unknown to if it's a blessing or cursed for her.
...
When Lusi drifted off to sleep, the warm and cold breeze of the approaching spring swirled around her. She was getting lost in a deep dream when the sweet scentof flowers filled her nostrils. It felt strange to her, as if something was wrong, but she was too tired to get up and investigate. She had been having this same dream for the past three months - someone always came to her, crying and begging for help.
“Please help me… I fell in love with him, but I was wrong…He didn't deserve me, I did wrong to my family, please save my family!”
She heard this again today, but today was a little different because today she could see her…
When Lusi woke up in a garden full of flowers and a sweet breeze, she couldn't help but ask herself if she passed away.
Lusi couldn't help but stare in awe at the beautiful girl that was floating around her. The figure had long red silky hair like cotton candy, with a hint of curl, and perfect curtain bangs that framed her delicate face. Her pale skin was flawless, except for the small mole near her chest. Her blue eyes sparkled with life, adding to her angelic look. Her perfect body proportions and visuals, together with her delicate white dress with billowy sleeves, made it apparent that she was an angel. But what Lusi couldn't understand was why this angel had suddenly appeared in her dream and why it was so important for her to protect her. She felt an overwhelming sense of curiosity and her first thought was if the girl was truly an angel.
Hahaha…
What do you think, am I an angel?” the girl joked as she flew around the sky.
Confused,
Lusi asked her who she was and why she had brought her here. With so many questions racing through her mind, she asked the girl, "Who are you? How did I get here? Am I dead? Is this paradise?"
"Well, for your information," the girl said, her voice dripping with hatred and disdain, "this isn't paradise, and you are not dead! You have to help me, take revenge on my behalf. Because of you, I was living a life in hell and my family was slaughtered!"
Lusi couldn't understand what kind of nightmare she was in or how she had ruined someone else's life. She was getting frustrated, not liking to be accused of something she didn't do.
"What do you mean by that?" she snapped. "Tchh, gotta wake up soon - I can't handle anymore of this."
"You will find out soon," the girl replied cryptically. "Never get involved with that guy, unless you want your doom. You have to protect our family with your life...remember your motive...”
Lusi
watched as the sound and the fairy-like girl gradually disappeared into the air, her last words echoing in Lusi's mind "...you have to protect them..."
...
“You have to protect them…”
This voice roused her from her sleep, and she stirred in her bed. The sky outside her window was a dark, dismal black, and yet the thin gusts of wind were still finding their way through the window which she had neglected to close before falling asleep. It was late in the night, far past the hour when her mother usually called her down for dinner - but where was her mother now? Confused, she rose from her bed and wrapped herself up in her thick blanket for warmth. As she made her way to the window, the sweet scent returned, as if to signal something special or peculiar about this night. After closing it tightly, she descended the stairs and found her mother, watching TV on the sofa.
: She went and sat with her mother, asking: “What happened to Mrs. Lu? You didn't nag me to eat my dinner today.” Her mother replied, “What are you talking about? You already ate your dinner today. Didn't you say you had an important project yesterday and that you wanted to sleep early? Why are you pulling pranks in the middle of the night? Go to bed.”
Lusi was terrified not because she had heard something unusual, but because she had forgotten to complete her project and had slept for too long. She said nothing to her mother and quickly rushed back to her room, taking out her laptop and beginning her work. Hours later, when the sun was just beginning to rise, she was almost finished--but when she went to save her project, a notification popped up on the screen that chilled her to the bone: "This file already exists on this device. Do you want to replace this file?"
Lusi was stunned when she saw that everything on her computer matched her project unconsciously. The content and slides had been crafted with her own words, almost like she had written them and then forgotten about it. She asked herself if she could have amnesia, as it seemed impossible that she could forget about such an important task. Nevertheless, the evidence was clear before her - even if it was too big of a coincidence to believe. She was fearful, yet baffled, as she realized that this mysterious occurrence could not be easily explained.
After ruminating on the strange occurrence for a while, Lusi rose from her bed and went to take a shower. As the water ran over her body, she noticed the mole on her left side. Suddenly, she was reminded of the girl from her dream - the girl who had a mole in the same place. While her mole was ordinary looking, the other girl's mole had been so beautiful, it made her heart ache. She couldn't explain why she felt so anxious; she just knew that something was deeply unsettling her.
After pondering upon this perplexing situation for some time, Lusi got up from her bed and went to take a shower. As she was getting ready, she noticed the mole on her left side and found herself reminded of the girl from her dream - the one who had a similar mole in the same spot. Her own mole may have been far more ordinary looking than the other's, yet the sight of it filled her with an inexplicable sense of melancholy. She wondered if perhaps the only difference between them was the appearance of their mole, and that realization further deepened her confusion.
A few moment later...
She found herself in an unfamiliar place, but that pain remained, she was on her knee and she was crying, a man's sword was on the left side of her chest… blood was dripping from her chest… That wasn't the worst feeling, it was something else that hurt her… She couldn't see that man's face because of her blur vision from crying… but she could feel that man's coldness…
She was feeling disappointed… but it wasn't her feeling!!
